After dropping off Xiaojuan, Zhao Youxiu met Sun Laoshi in Shenzhen. Sun Laoshi, whom Zhao Youxiu had met at an art exhibition, offered him a very good job opportunity as a recommendation to the organizer of the Silk Road event hosted by the National Photography Association. Zhao Youxiu was very interested but decided to discuss it with his partner. At the same restaurant, Liang Shuang met Chen Zhuo. Liang Shuang questioned why Chen Zhuo was always antagonistic towards her.
Chen Zhuo angrily revealed that when they broke up, Liang Shuang had privately gone to see his fiancée, causing a huge argument between his family and his fiancée’s family, and resulting in him being scolded by his father. Liang Shuang, angry, interrupted him and asked what he really wanted. Chen Zhuo only wanted Liang Shuang to return to him, threatening her with cyberbullying and exposing her and Xiaojuan's true relationship.
He gave Liang Shuang a room card, telling her to find him if she thought it over. Zhao Youxiu, leaving after his talk with Sun Laoshi, saw Liang Shuang being bullied and stepped in to protect her, driving Chen Zhuo away. Chen Zhuo, however, mocked Liang Shuang's poor taste. Director Ding and Rebecca both met with Jiang Xiaoguo. Separately, they revealed that Wendy was the real insider traitor/spy, a fact Jiang Xiaoguo found hard to believe.
They both suggested Jiang Xiaoguo return to Puling Capital and sought her forgiveness for Zhou Xun. Jiang Xiaoguo, having already submitted her resume to Lanhe and through Lanhe’s senior sister, refused, but still felt some concern for Puling Capital. Director Ding and Rebecca then informed Zhou Xun that Jiang Xiaoguo had not forgiven him. Director Ding advised Zhou Xun to apologize to Jiang Xiaoguo himself and not wait until everything was over, as it would be too late.
Zhou Xun, despite Rebecca’s advice, initially felt it was not the optimal time to approach Jiang Xiaoguo. With the deadline for German training applications approaching the next morning, Duan Zhenyu decided to spend one more night considering it. He decorated the rooftop, intending to confess his feelings to Jiang Xiaoguo again. However, before going upstairs, Jiang Xiaoguo called her colleague Tianyang and learned that Ma Dongsheng had not yet injected capital into Puling, signifying the company's imminent collapse.
Distraught, Jiang Xiaoguo rushed downstairs, missing her appointment with Duan Zhenyu, to find Zhou Xun. Stood up, Duan Zhenyu, alone on the rooftop, spoke his heartfelt confession aloud, realizing that no matter how hard he tried, he wouldn't get a response from Jiang Xiaoguo. He wiped away his tears and made the firm decision to go to Germany for training, informing his coach of his acceptance.
Jiang Xiaoguo arrived at Puling Capital, where Rebecca and Su Hang had been comforting a "failed" Zhou Xun. Zhou Xun was touched by Jiang Xiaoguo's hurried arrival. They walked by the sea and talked. Zhou Xun asked why she had come to him, and Jiang Xiaoguo asked what he had meant when he previously said he liked her, to which Zhou Xun could not provide a clear answer. Zhou Xun then asked why Jiang Xiaoguo liked him.
She explained it wasn't for his professional skills, but for him as a complete person, embracing his strengths and weaknesses. She also comforted him, saying he was always his parents' pride, regardless of success or failure. Zhou Xun's mood improved with Jiang Xiaoguo's comfort. He confessed his admiration for her sincerity, fearlessness, passion, and vitality, and asked if she would still be with him now that he was "nothing" and had lost everything.
Jiang Xiaoguo refused him, stating her decision to let go after he had previously said love only accounted for ten percent of his life. That evening, Zhao Youxiu confronted Chen Zhuo (using Chen Zhuo's room card), warning him to stop bothering Liang Shuang and claiming to be her boyfriend. He also threw a photo of Chen Zhuo on the table as a warning, which led to a fight. Zhao Youxiu returned to the studio with facial injuries.
Duan Jiabao, seeing his injuries, quickly went out to buy medicine. After Duan Jiabao left, Liang Shuang, touched by Zhao Youxiu's actions, looked at his injuries with concern. Zhao Youxiu smugly declared the matter settled. Liang Shuang told him not to do stupid things again, but Zhao Youxiu pulled her to him and confessed his feelings.
He also confronted her about deliberately distancing herself from him because Duan Jiabao liked him, stating it was unfair to him and not good for Duan Jiabao. Duan Jiabao, returning with medicine, overheard their conversation, hung the medicine on the doorknob, and left for school, deeply hurt. Duan Jiabao, heartbroken, returned to school and called Duan Zhenyu. He comforted her and told her about his decision to go to Germany for training, which surprised her.
That night, Liang Shuang returned to the dorm and tried to talk to Duan Jiabao, but Duan Jiabao pretended to be asleep. The next morning, Jiang Xiaoguo drove the sleeping Zhou Xun back to the company. Su Hang called Zhou Xun to inform him that Ma Dongsheng's money had arrived, saving Puling Capital. Both were happy. Jiang Xiaoguo dropped Zhou Xun at the company, expressing her thanks, and left freely.
She then brought breakfast back to the dorm for Liang Shuang and Luo Yan, who were surprised by her sudden generosity. While Liang Shuang went to the toilet, she told Duan Jiabao that Zhao Youxiu had helped settle things with Chen Zhuo, implying they were now all good friends. Duan Jiabao was surprised, having initially thought Liang Shuang and Zhao Youxiu were together.
Before she could ask further, Luo Yan returned to the dorm to get something, and Jiang Xiaoguo emerged to tell them all that she had rejected Zhou Xun, much to everyone's surprise.
