Jiang Xiaoguo returned to the dorm crying, heartbroken and blaming Zhou Xun for rejecting her. She declared to her concerned roommates that she would give up on Zhou Xun and try to avoid him outside of work. However, Liang Shuang expressed doubt that Jiang Xiaoguo could truly forget him. Jiang Xiaoguo later shielded Zhou Xun from her social media and maintained a cold demeanor at work, even having a colleague, Tianyang, deliver documents to him.
Zhou Xun, feeling complex emotions and distracted by Jiang Xiaoguo, ended up missing an important meeting with investor Ma Dongsheng by taking a wrong turn. While comforting Jiang Xiaoguo, Luo Yan received an apology message from Road Ran, which she ignored. Road Ran, irritated by his mother's attempts to set him up with other girls, quickly switched his phone screen to a game when she entered.
During a date with Luo Yan, Road Ran became upset after seeing "Weishi" project plans in her bag, realizing she was connecting with the company. Later, Luo Yan saw Road Ran talking with another girl, Xiaomi, after work or at school. Xiaomi, who also had a boyfriend and was only on the blind date due to family disapproval, bonded with Road Ran over their similar situations.
Road Ran confided that his family issues had created a rift with his girlfriend, and Xiaomi advised him to explain things clearly if they were committed to each other. Luo Yan, angry at seeing them converse, ignored Road Ran. Jiang Xiaoguo tried to comfort Luo Yan, urging her to communicate with Road Ran. Zhao Youxiu took Liang Shuang and Duan Jiabao to a painting exhibition and auction, where his works proved popular.
He received an invitation from Geography China Magazine, hoping to sign him. Liang Shuang felt a pang of disappointment, worrying that the studio they planned might not open and that Zhao Youxiu would no longer collaborate with them. Duan Jiabao, however, bought a photograph Zhao Youxiu had taken of Liang Shuang and Xiaojuan, intending to hang it in their future studio.
Later, Liang Shuang bravely told Zhao Youxiu that while she wanted him to stay, she didn't want him to abandon his dream. Zhao Youxiu then revealed he had rejected the magazine's offer, choosing to stay with Liang Shuang's team, which deeply moved her. Liang Shuang found herself thinking about Zhao Youxiu that night. Duan Jiabao and Liang Shuang discussed plans for their studio. Jiang Xiaoguo remarked that Duan Jiabao now seemed more dedicated to work than to idol-chasing.
Duan Jiabao herself felt confused about her feelings for Xiong Zhi, recalling that Xiong Zhi had also suggested she preferred work over him. She described their relationship as feeling like "stagnant water" or having "no feeling," admitting she didn't miss him when they were apart.
After asking Duan Jiabao a series of questions about her relationship, Liang Shuang concluded that Duan Jiabao didn't truly like Xiong Zhi and advised her to break up with him, while Jiang Xiaoguo suggested Duan Jiabao might not have realized her feelings yet and should reflect further. Duan Jiabao spent the night pondering her relationship with Xiong Zhi. The next morning, Duan Jiabao went to "Same Place" to find Xiong Zhi, only to discover it was being sold.
She was saddened by the news, as the restaurant held four years of university memories for them. After much hesitation, she decided to break up with Xiong Zhi via WeChat, feeling their relationship lacked passion. Unbeknownst to her, Xiong Zhi had reinstalled his phone system and did not see the message. That evening, he continued his routine of delivering soup to her and invited her and her roommates to "Same Place" for dinner the next day, promising good news.
Duan Jiabao felt extremely awkward. Before Jiang Xiaoguo left work, Zhou Xun, intending to meet Ma Dongsheng for investment, wanted to retrieve some documents from her. Jiang Xiaoguo, maintaining her cold distance, instructed her colleague Tianyang to pass them on. Feeling complex emotions, Zhou Xun drove to meet Ma Dongsheng, but his distraction over Jiang Xiaoguo caused him to miss a turn, preventing him from meeting the client as scheduled.
That night, Xiong Zhi gathered everyone at "Same Place" and excitedly announced he had bought the restaurant. Everyone was delighted and teased Duan Jiabao about becoming the "boss's wife." Duan Jiabao was surprised and filled with guilt. Liang Shuang, sensing her distress, gently squeezed her hand in comfort. As dinner concluded, Zhao Youxiu proposed a game of truth or dare. The bottle first landed on Road Ran, who chose "dare."
Jiang Xiaoguo and the others urged him to kiss Luo Yan, but Luo Yan recoiled. Recognizing the tension between them, the friends tried to change the subject, but Luo Yan pulled Road Ran aside. She angrily confronted him, accusing him of dating or having an arranged marriage with Xiaomi. Their suppressed emotions erupted into a heated argument, and Luo Yan stormed off. Zhao Youxiu later admitted he had someone he liked.
When the bottle eventually pointed to Duan Jiabao, Zhao Youxiu asked if she would marry Xiong Zhi after graduation. Gathering her courage, Duan Jiabao broke up with Xiong Zhi, stating clearly that there was no feeling between them. Xiong Zhi, bewildered, left "Same Place." Duan Jiabao, worried, chased after him, explaining that they were like two drops of water, without any connection or feeling when together.
