Zhao Youxiu becomes angry, stating his refusal to continue the photoshoot and demanding that Xiaojuan return home with him. However, Xiaojuan, enticed by candy from Duan Jiabao, declines to leave, prompting Zhao Youxiu to depart in a huff. Liang Shuang, Duan Jiabao, and Xiaojuan proceed with the photoshoot. During a break, they realize Xiaojuan has gone missing. Zhao Youxiu, who had returned with water, learns of Xiaojuan's disappearance and, filled with anger and anxiety, joins the search.
Liang Shuang eventually locates Xiaojuan in an arcade (also referred to as "Children's Paradise"), where he had wet his pants out of fear. Uncomfortable and unwilling to walk, Xiaojuan is carried by Liang Shuang, who also buys him new pants. Zhao Youxiu attempts to scold Xiaojuan for running off, but Liang Shuang intervenes. After Xiaojuan is found, everyone is relieved.
However, the camera containing the day's photos is discovered to be lost, having been misplaced during the frantic search for Xiaojuan. Duan Jiabao then recalls being too anxious during the search and not knowing where she lost the camera, while Daxiong also feels very down about the loss. Duan Jiabao is touched when she learns Daxiong made soup for her. Daxiong, expressing his desire to satisfy Duan Jiabao, vows to "practice more" in the future.
That evening, with the camera still missing, Liang Shuang feels dejected. Zhao Youxiu reassures her, suggesting they use a phone for photos. He takes several pictures of Liang Shuang, and also of her holding a sleeping Xiaojuan, with his own phone. Liang Shuang is pleased with the results, believing her good looks make her photogenic, a sentiment Zhao Youxiu agrees with as they share a meaningful gaze.
Though Zhao Youxiu initially considers waking Xiaojuan for more photos, Liang Shuang tells him to let Xiaojuan continue sleeping. Later, against a backdrop of beautiful fireworks, Daxiong kisses Duan Jiabao, leading to a shy but happy embrace and kiss between them. Meanwhile, Luo Yan is with Lu Ran when her mother, Wei Yunjie (Luo Mama), unexpectedly arrives. Wei Yunjie apologizes to Luo Yan and informs her of an upcoming business trip, promising to return for Chinese New Year.
Luo Yan, however, refuses her mother's apology and states she does not wish to spend the New Year with her. Wei Yunjie questions Lu Ran about his future plans with Luo Yan, and upon learning they will attend universities in different cities, she expresses concern about the difficulties of long-distance relationships.
Annoyed, Luo Yan sends Lu Ran away, then confronts her mother, warning Wei Yunjie not to use her manipulative tactics on Lu Ran, and declares that any life problems are preferable to being her daughter. Wei Yunjie is deeply hurt by these words. A call from her secretary, Xiao Wang, requires Wei Yunjie to attend to work matters, which Luo Yan uses as an opportunity to pull Lu Ran away.
Later, Luo Yan realizes Lu Ran had conspired with her mother to arrange the meeting, making her furious and causing her to ignore his attempts at explanation. This leads to an unhappy argument, and Luo Yan leaves him. That night, Luo Yan calms down and contemplates messaging Lu Ran to apologize. However, Lu Ran finds her first, apologizes for his actions, and promises to always listen to her. They reconcile, happily watching fireworks together.
Luo Yan later recounts to Jiang Xiaoguo and others that she and Lu Ran shared a kiss that lasted for 40 minutes, feeling like it was just a brief moment. In contrast, Wei Yunjie is seen alone at home, eating and later entering Luo Yan's empty room, where she reflects on the past and cries sadly, feeling lonely. Concurrently, Jiang Xiaoguo and Zhou Xun, along with others, arrive at a high-end hotel restaurant.
Jiang Xiaoguo is excited by the upscale dishes and eagerly takes photos. During the meal, Jiang Xiaoguo discreetly realizes she has started her period and stained her pants, feeling embarrassed. Zhou Xun, noticing her predicament, thoughtfully drapes his jacket over her to conceal it. Jiang Xiaoguo is surprised and deeply moved by his unexpected gentleness and consideration, feeling a romantic stir at that moment.
When she goes to the restroom, Zhou Xun messages her, informing her that he has arranged for Rebecca to bring her new pants. Jiang Xiaoguo is profoundly touched by his thoughtfulness. After changing into the new pants, she feels very moved, highlighting Zhou Xun's attentiveness. However, she later feels a bit isolated as Zhou Xun, Manager Su, and Rebecca reminisce about their university life. Duan Zhenyu offers her a drink and thoughtfully drapes his jacket over her.
On the way back, Duan Zhenyu is seen looking at secretly taken photos of Jiang Xiaoguo, who remains feeling low due to Zhou Xun. As the New Year and winter break approach, the dorm mates share a meal before returning to their respective hometowns. Liang Shuang prepares gifts for Zhao Youxiu's parents, hoping these will convince them that he is doing well and allow him to bring Xiaojuan back to Shenzhen for continued collaboration after the holidays.
She reminds Zhao Youxiu of this before leaving. Liang Shuang arrives home to be welcomed by her grandmother (Liang Nai Nai) waiting at the door. Her mother (Liang Mama) advises her father (Liang Baba) not to drink to avoid an argument with Liang Shuang. However, during dinner, Liang Baba criticizes Liang Shuang's clothing and work, and also lectures her, which Liang Shuang unhappily retorts to. At home, Liang Shuang faces a table laden with meat dishes, feeling unappetized.
Meanwhile, Jiang Xiaoguo, now in her hometown in Northeast China, receives a call from Zhou Xun, who reveals he is in her hometown area for business. He asks her to work overtime to meet a Russian client, offering triple pay. Despite her initial verbal willingness but actual reluctance for overtime, Jiang Xiaoguo agrees due to the high pay. They work until night, successfully signing an investment intent letter with the client. Zhou Xun insists on driving Jiang Xiaoguo home, though his initial flight plans were canceled due to heavy snow.
