Love Together (Trial Marriage) Episode 10 Recap
> Love Together (Trial Marriage) Recap
Gu Lingse awoke in Ye Chengshu's embrace, feeling shy. As she attempted to rise, he pulled her back playfully. When he teased her about their night together, she declared she would take responsibility for him, before heading to take a shower. Later, Ye Chengshu received confirmation that the preliminary maintenance for the Shizishui project was complete, signaling the official start of its integrated development with Mulin Town. He informed Gu Lingse that the project could now commence.
He felt that standard brochures and video promotions were insufficient, proposing an "immersive experience" where tourists could relive his childhood memories with the villagers. Gu Lingse enhanced the idea by suggesting a live broadcast element to interact with the audience. Ye Chengshu found this idea brilliant, and they decided to draft a plan that eventually won the support of Quan Zimo. Both had to attend to matters at their companies, and Ye Chengshu offered to pick her up later.
Meanwhile, Gu Huaiheng made a phone call to Qiuhui, who was in a mental institution. He coaxed her to remain there for a few more days, assuring her he would bring her home once she recovered. Qiuhui, distraught, blamed a woman named Zhou for their separation and expressed relief that Gu Huaiheng still loved her. While in the institution, Qiuhui was seen in an agitated state, trying to leave her room and threatening to buy the entire hospital.
Quan Zimo's assistant informed him that Ye Chengshu had sent the promotion draft. Although Director Ming considered the Shizishui Project highly important and required full cooperation, Quan Zimo dismissed the idea that he would back down. Finding the plan "interesting," he attributed the innovative ideas to Gu Lingse, whom he playfully called a "fox." He decided to personally manage the project. Elsewhere, Quan Zimo teased Ming Rixin about being drunk the night before.
Later, he gave her a document he had "picked up on the road," signaling her return to work with M Group. During a corporate meeting, Director Jiang was updated on the successful overseas "1+3 Project" and the positive reception of their subsidiary brand Yejianzhongdi's press conference. Following the meeting, Ye Chengshu requested to speak privately with Director Jiang, whom he affectionately called "Uncle Jiang," about the Shizishui project's promotion. Ye Chengshu announced an upcoming business trip to Mulin Town.
His secretaries, Bei Chen and Secretary Kim, insisted on accompanying them. Bei Chen declared it his duty as the "perfect secretary" to follow his boss anywhere, which led to immediate bickering with Secretary Kim, who criticized his driving skills. Their constant squabbling became a running theme, exasperating Ye Chengshu and Gu Lingse. Upon their arrival in Mulin Town, they met Uncle Su and his son, Zhe Su.
Ye Chengshu proudly introduced Gu Lingse as his wife, much to Uncle Su's delight. Uncle Su congratulated them warmly and expressed his wish for grandchildren. He then showed them traditional clothes worn during the Lantern Festival in his youth. Gu Lingse noticed a wooden hairpin, and Uncle Su shared its romantic history: he had carved it for his wife when they were poor as a symbol of their love. Touched, Gu Lingse asked if other villagers still kept similar items.
The group then visited other villagers and collected old lanterns and traditional clothing to ensure the event would have authentic elements. The group settled into rebuilt villas in Mulin Town that Ye Chengshu had designed. Bei Chen and Secretary Kim immediately started arguing over which villa to occupy. Watching them, Ye Chengshu remarked to Gu Lingse that they acted like "primary pupils on a spring outing," adding that he and Gu Lingse were like a "newly married couple."
Later that evening, Ye Chengshu and Gu Lingse sought relaxation in a secluded thermal spring. He romantically asked for a kiss, and as their passionate embrace deepened, Bei Chen and Secretary Kim gleefully jumped into the water, completely unaware they were interrupting a private moment. Exasperated, Ye Chengshu declared he would dock their bonuses, causing them to protest before hastily retreating. That night, Gu Lingse stayed with Ye Chengshu as he worked late.
Sensing his nervousness about the event, she offered him encouragement, addressing his professional and personal sides separately. For "Mr. Ye," she advised that some anxiety was healthy for maintaining high standards. For "Chengshu Ye," she simply said, "Take it easy, I got you." They sat together under the starlit sky before she went to rest. Alone, Ye Chengshu began to secretly carve a wooden hairpin.
He recalled Uncle Su's story about the hairpin he had made for his wife and, inspired, worked meticulously, planning to give his own handcrafted hairpin to Gu Lingse as a surprise. The next day, Quan Zimo arrived in Mulin Town with Ming Rixin. Ming Rixin, struggling in her high heels, complained about walking, so Quan Zimo playfully teased her about her "short legs" before carrying her up the path. They joined the others, with Quan Zimo congratulating the couple but playfully refusing to give them his "blessing."
