Cheng Feng was startled awake when a thief attempted to steal her phone at the book cafe. Jiang Dian arrived promptly, chasing the intruder, but the phone was ultimately taken. Cheng Feng reassured Jiang Dian, urging him not to let this incident deter him from attending the Master Salon, a crucial event for his physics dreams. Although Jiang Dian verbally agreed, he harbored other intentions. The following day, Cheng Feng assisted Lian Ruoshen and Baoling with their choreography.
During the session, Zhou Yao and Pang Ting arrived, with Zhou Yao claiming to be a judge for the scoring. Zhou Yao then cornered Cheng Feng, offering to suppress the negative online rumors about her. Cheng Feng scoffed at his offer, stating that his failure to actively worsen her situation was already a form of assistance.
Later, after Lian Ruoshen’s captivating performance garnered high scores and praise from the big bosses, one of them, DK, recognized Cheng Feng’s talent and invited her to choreograph for Zhou Yao’s new album. Cheng Feng, however, flatly refused, openly expressing her strong dislike for Zhou Yao.
Baoling quickly stepped in to smooth things over, explaining that Cheng Feng had retired from the industry and was merely helping a friend, and that her schedule was fully booked with Lian Ruoshen’s upcoming dances. Undeterred, Zhou Yao pursued Cheng Feng, offering to help her reclaim her HA endorsement in an attempt to reconcile. Cheng Feng firmly rejected his advances, declaring that she would never return to him, regardless of his persistent efforts.
Meanwhile, Lian Ruoshen publicly dedicated a song to Xiaoyun on stage, delighting her. She ran up to present him with flowers, proudly declaring herself his first fan, and Lian Ruoshen pulled her into a hug, thanking her for her support. Back at the book cafe, Cheng Feng anxiously kept checking her new phone, wondering why Jiang Dian hadn't contacted her, assuming his plane for the Master Salon had landed.
Unbeknownst to her, Jiang Dian had not left for the Master Salon. Instead, he had been tracking down the thief who had stolen her phone. He received a call from someone who had traced the thief to Happiness Street, where Hao Xiang was already monitoring him. The thief, cornered, contacted An Yin, warning her to be careful. An Yin, after discarding her phone to destroy evidence, told him to keep her out of it.
Jiang Dian successfully apprehended the thief and took him to the police station. Cheng Feng was shocked to receive a call from the police, informing her about Jiang Dian’s actions. She rushed to the police station, furious at Jiang Dian for prioritizing her phone over his career-defining Master Salon. Cheng Feng expressed her frustration, saying she could handle the matter herself and he shouldn't distract himself from his physics research and dreams.
Jiang Dian felt misunderstood, believing Cheng Feng implied she didn't need him at all, and he left angrily. Distraught over their argument, Cheng Feng then received good news: a contact had located the backstage video from her international dance competition. She immediately forwarded the video evidence to Baoling, instructing her to combine it with Lian Ruoshen’s promotional campaign to create a trending topic online.
When Baoling asked if she was truly ready to take such a step, Cheng Feng responded that given An Yin’s restless nature, she had no reason to be lenient. Later, a nervous Lian Ruoshen, unable to sleep before his album release, invited Jiang Dian and Lu Bie for a barbecue.
After leaving a drunken Lian Ruoshen with Lu Bie, Jiang Dian attempted to reconcile with Cheng Feng by sending her a misleading photo of a pool of blood on the ground next to his very minor cut. Cheng Feng, having left her phone at home, went to find him directly.
Upon seeing his trivial injury, she chided him for being dramatic, but then noticed the blood on the ground and angrily asked if he had sent a picture of it to scare her. Jiang Dian quickly denied sending any photo, and they reconciled after he apologized. As they headed home, Jiang Dian feigned hunger to send Cheng Feng to the kitchen, giving him a chance to find her phone and delete the incriminating photo.
But before he could, Cheng Feng returned. She inadvertently discovered her phone in his pocket and saw the photo of the blood. Upset by his immaturity and manipulative behavior, Cheng Feng confronted him. Jiang Dian, desperate to make amends, spent the night folding numerous paper planes. The next morning, he surprised Cheng Feng with a ceiling adorned with paper planes, declaring that in his life, physics and Cheng Feng were his two most important passions.
He told her she was the light that illuminated his darkness, and he could live without starlight, but not without her. Deeply moved, Cheng Feng kissed him, vowing to protect the goodness he represented. The backstage video from the dance competition ignited a massive online debate. The footage revealed An Yin approaching an organizer, insisting on converting her and Cheng Feng's duet into a solo performance for herself.
Despite the organizer’s strong reservations about the rule violation and the fact that Cheng Feng was the registered lead dancer, An Yin vehemently argued for the opportunity. The online community quickly understood that Cheng Feng was innocent and that An Yin had schemed to steal her spot. Enraged by the viral video, An Yin was confronted by Cheng Feng, who warned her against harming anyone close to her, especially Jiang Dian, promising severe consequences if she did.
An Yin retorted with bitterness, describing her life as a dancer who could no longer dance as a living hell, and wishing that Cheng Feng would also never see sunlight. The public outcry was overwhelmingly in favor of Cheng Feng, with many questioning An Yin’s character as a teacher. Consequently, under immense public pressure, the welfare institute’s director informed An Yin that she was being terminated from her position.
