> Tiger and Crane Recap

Qi Wuji, imprisoned for five centuries, described himself as a prisoner slowly consumed by despair and time. He lamented his existence, feeling neither truly human nor ghost-like, experiencing a world devoid of color, scent, or taste. He explained that a curse had left him without a heart, depriving him of human sensation and warmth. He sought the hearts of the Twin Primordial Spirits to achieve true rebirth and become a complete human.

While Qi Wuji pursued his goals, Hu Zi and his companions used a resonant thread to track him, eventually locating an entrance to his hidden lair, undeterred by the vanishing thread signal. After inhabiting Qi Xiaoxuan's body, Yan observed that Qian had kept various mementos related to him in his room, realizing the depth of his brother's feelings and that Qian had not forgotten him.

Later, Yan conversed with Eldest Master, who confirmed the past misunderstandings surrounding the Spirit Lock Ritual. Eldest Master explained that Qian had matured from a timid child into a brave and responsible individual, becoming the Royal Sorcerer and Commander of the White Camp, burdened by eight years of guilt. Eldest Master emphasized that the curse, not the brothers, was the true source of their suffering, urging them to mend their bond as they were the closest kin in the world.

Yan also shared his initial hatred for Qian's betrayal and for Jiang Xici's unfair treatment, but also the profound joy of experiencing life's simple wonders after inhabiting Qi Xiaoxuan’s body. He revealed that he had come to Peak Valley to end the five-century-old Twin Primordial Spirit Curse that had tormented the Qi family for generations. Inside a mysterious realm, Qian and Yan, the two primordial spirits, reconciled.

Qian apologized for his past actions concerning the Spirit Lock Ritual, admitting he later discovered Qi Yanran’s involvement in the Spirit Assassination Pill incident. He expressed deep remorse for not trusting Yan and for allowing Yan to be trapped while he remained. Yan, having recently experienced a similar dark solitude through occupying a puppet, further understood the profound despair of the Soul Mirror world.

Having observed Qian’s growth and realizing the depth of his brother's feelings, Yan decided to make the ultimate sacrifice. He told Qian that he had lived eight years longer, and it was now Qian's turn to truly live. Yan sacrificed his own primordial spirit, leaving the physical body of Qi Xiaoxuan to Qian, and urged him to live his own life, not anyone else’s.

Hu Zi and his group finally located Qi Xiaoxuan, interrupting Qi Wuji’s attempt to consume Qi Xiaoxuan’s primordial spirit, thus revealing Qi Wuji's true, treacherous nature. During the chaotic confrontation, it became clear that Qi Wuji and Yi Mei were collaborating, an alliance that surprised the group. One of the companions confronted Yi Mei, vowing vengeance for Miaomiao, to which Yi Mei responded cruelly.

Recognizing they were outmatched by Qi Wuji's divine power, Mo Guzi, recalling a tender memory, made a selfless decision. He channeled all his vital energy into a silk thread, ensnaring Qi Wuji in a cocoon-like binding, creating a diversion for the others to escape. Mo Guzi perished in his act of sacrifice as the cave collapsed around them. The Jinhua sisters trio returned to the main camp, reporting no success in their search through the sandy terrain.

Jiang Xici, the Second Master, and Xiu Damen also returned from Twin Mountain, confirming that the demonic aura there had vanished and Qi Wuji was nowhere to be found. Concerned, Jiang Xici alerted everyone that Qi Wuji was a dangerous anomaly and urged them to swiftly locate Qi Xiaoxuan and the others. Meanwhile, Yi Mei, after secretly rescuing White Tiger from Qi Wuji's burning attempt, healed her with Millennium Ice.

White Tiger's human form would only last a few days, but she honored her promise to Yi Mei. She guided Yi Mei through a deceptive formation to her master, Night Kongming’s, hidden coffin. Yi Mei recounted her own origin, created as a puppet by Night Kongming, with whom she grew up happily. Their bond was shattered when Night Kongming fell deeply in love with Qi Wuji, following him to Peak Valley.

There, Yi Mei gained a physical body from a spiritual pearl bestowed by Night Kongming. Yi Mei witnessed Night Kongming's profound sadness as Qi Wuji's affections lay elsewhere. Everything changed after Qi Wuji killed the Demon Emperor. To Yi Mei's shock, Qi Wuji turned against Night Kongming in the ensuing battle, hunting her down, only to then declare his love and marry her.

They lived in Peak Valley for nearly a year, during which Night Kongming gave birth to the first child with Twin Primordial Spirits in the Qi family. Just before their planned departure from Peak Valley on a ship built from the Demon Emperor’s bones, a panicked Night Kongming entrusted Yi Mei with the Phurba and the child, urging her to escape while she desperately attempted to prevent Qi Wuji from boarding the ship.

For five centuries, Yi Mei had been tormented by these unanswered questions, believing her master's actions hid a deeper truth. White Tiger finally revealed the "500-year lie" to Yi Mei. Separately, Qi Yanran learned from Mo Lingzhi about Qi Xiaoxuan’s rapidly fading primordial spirit. Commander Wu also expressed urgent concern, mobilizing a search party for Qi Xiaoxuan and the others.

Qi Yanran, having learned of Qi Xiaoxuan’s critical condition, confronted Yi Mei, expressing her determination to take responsibility for her past actions and find him. Armed with the devastating truth of the past and fueled by a desire to avenge her master, Yi Mei confronted Qi Wuji, declaring that only one of them would survive their final battle.
