Ouyang Feng of the West and Hong Qigong of the North faced off. The Toad Skill and the Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palms were evenly matched. Huang Rong and Guo Jing watched the battle from the side. Ouyang Ke saw how close the two were and, feeling jealous, ambushed Guo Jing. Huang Rong blocked Ouyang Ke's poisonous needle, and Guo Jing also struck back to teach Ouyang Ke a lesson. Huang Rong helped Guo Jing.

Ouyang Feng sensed Ouyang Ke was in danger and stepped in to assist. Although Huang Rong was protected by Huang Yaoshi, Guo Jing was unexpectedly injured when he blocked a palm strike from Ouyang Feng while trying to save Huang Rong. Huang Yaoshi saw that Guo Jing was injured protecting his daughter, so he took out a Nine Flower Jade Dew Pellet and gave it to Guo Jing to treat his injury.

Because Guo Jing was injured, Hong Qigong wanted Ouyang Ke to also take a palm strike from him. For this, Ouyang Feng and Hong Qigong argued again. Huang Yaoshi stepped forward to mediate, and also stated that he would give everyone a satisfactory explanation tomorrow. Mu Nianci was captured by Wanyan Honglie. She was subjected to torture to reveal clues about the "Wumu Testament".

He decided to wait until Ouyang Feng arrived before going to retrieve the "Wumu Testament". Ouyang Feng asked Ouyang Ke if the real reason he came with him to Peach Blossom Island this time was just for the Nine Yin Manual.

Huang Laoxie gave the formation techniques to Ouyang Ke to study. Hong Qigong and Zhou Botong took Guo Jing away from Peach Blossom Island. Guo Jing was reluctant to leave. Huang Laoxie believed that Guo Jing was too cunning; he tricked Hong Qigong into teaching him the Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palms, and tricked Zhou Botong into becoming sworn brothers with him. He would not marry his daughter to such a person.

Zhou Botong apologized to Guo Jing for his well-intentioned mistake, but Guo Jing knew that Zhou Botong was also trying to help him, so he naturally did not blame Zhou Botong. Hong Qigong and Zhou Botong together comforted Guo Jing, who was greatly disheartened because his plea was rejected.
