In the wake of Head Chef Jia Shikun’s abrupt departure, the kitchen at Purong Hotel is left in a state of emergency. Li Qiaoqi finds herself severely short-staffed, requesting three sous chefs and a pastry chef just to stay afloat. Ji Feng can only spare one professional for now, promising to pull more staff from other departments.

Xu Miyu arrives at the kitchen looking for the procurement manager, Mr. Chen, to sign off on a guest's dietary restrictions, only to find his office locked and the man gone. Seeing no other option, Li Qiaoqi asks for Xu Miyu to stay and help with prep. Xue Rui also volunteers his services, boasting that he handles his family's New Year dinners, and is put to work alongside them.

Determined to find the truth behind the walkout, Ji Feng has the office door forced open, only to discover that all the restaurant's ledgers have vanished. It becomes clear that Jia Shikun and Mr. Chen fled together, leaving behind a mess far greater than Ji Feng had anticipated. With the dinner rush looming, Ji Feng joins the kitchen line himself to peel tomatoes.

Noticing his lack of experience, Xu Miyu teaches him a more efficient method: scoring a cross on the top and blanching them in boiling water to loosen the skins. Eventually, seeing that Ji Feng is out of his element, Xu Miyu suggests he head to the front to host the guests while she takes over the prep work.

In the dining room, Ma Kesi and Mr. Cheng from the Puqi Group are served an appetizer of Spanish gazpacho, which Ma Kesi finds indistinguishable from the authentic flavors of Cordoba. Mr. Cheng is equally moved by the Shanghai-style fried dough sticks, which evoke powerful memories of the traditional "old dough" style from his childhood. While the guests are satisfied, the service flow in the back begins to buckle under the pressure.

When word reaches Ji Feng that orders are falling behind and guests are becoming restless, he steps in at the pass to personally expedite orders, immediately boosting the kitchen's efficiency. The situation takes a stressful turn when a large party of guests from Guangdong demands eighteen servings of Hainanese Chicken Rice, only for the staff to realize they have accidentally served all the prepared chicken oil rice to the banquet hall.

As Li Qiaoqi frets over the lack of a suitable starch for the final course, Xu Miyu proposes an alternative: a light, refreshing bowl of Bamboo Leaf and Fish Bone Soup Noodles. She explains that after a heavy meal of seafood and red meat, a clear soup base using Mount Emei bamboo and Pengze crucian carp will cleanse the palate. With no other choice, Li Qiaoqi agrees, and Xu Miyu immediately begins hand-making the noodles.

The sudden menu change draws the ire of Lu Zhenzhen, who storms into the kitchen to complain that the guests expect their favorite dish. She warns that this isn't a "village banquet" and demands the chicken rice be served. Li Qiaoqi defends the dish, highlighting the premium ingredients, but Lu Zhenzhen insists that Xu Miyu take full responsibility if the guests are unhappy.

Ji Feng interjects, stating that the responsibility lies solely with him, leaving Lu Zhenzhen with no choice but to help deliver the noodles. The gamble pays off. Ma Kesi and Mr. Cheng are so impressed that they insist on meeting the chef. Li Qiaoqi is introduced as the lead for the evening, leaving the guests surprised by her youth.

When Ma Kesi learns that his own butler, Xu Miyu, prepared the exceptional noodles, he is so moved that he pre-orders the same dish for his breakfast the following morning. Following this success, Ji Feng officially appoints Li Qiaoqi as the acting Head Chef of the Chinese restaurant, a move that earns the support of nearly the entire staff.

While Xue Rui brings a celebratory meal to Li Qiaoqi to toast her new role, trouble arrives in the form of Duan Aoxiang. Having heard of the kitchen's success despite Jia Shikun’s departure, the Kuanli executive attempts to poach Li Qiaoqi with a double salary. Li Qiaoqi remains unmoved, mockingly pointing out that Kuanli seems to buy its chefs "by the dozen" and declaring her loyalty to Purong.

The success of the contract is tempered by personal news for Ma Kesi, who learns that his grandfather has fallen into a coma and is suffering from severe memory loss. Drained and depressed, he asks to rest early. When Lu Zhenzhen tries to push him for a contract signature, Xu Miyu intervenes to ensure he is not disturbed, earning her more resentment from Lu Zhenzhen.

Back at home, Lu Zhenzhen complains bitterly to Nie Yucheng, accusing Xu Miyu of using her position to steal the spotlight and settle personal scores. The next morning, Lu Zhenzhen hopes to catch Ma Kesi before he leaves, but Xu Miyu informs her that he has already moved up his flight and is headed to the airport. However, a four-hour flight delay gives Xu Miyu an opportunity to provide one last service.

She takes Ma Kesi to the Huiwen Architectural Design Institute, the modern successor to the school where his grandfather once studied. In the hall, they find a vintage group photo featuring his grandfather as a young man. Ma Kesi makes a video call to his grandfather, who, upon seeing the old photos of his classmates, experiences a breakthrough in his memory.

Overjoyed, Ma Kesi thanks Xu Miyu for the most considerate service he has ever received, telling her it finally felt like coming home. Following Ma Kesi’s departure, he sends an email confirming his intent to sign a long-term contract with Purong. Ji Feng calls a management meeting to celebrate, officially promoting Lu Zhenzhen to VIP Client Manager for her role in the deal. However, the mood shifts when Ji Feng turns his attention to the Housekeeping department.

Feng Kaixin attempts to scapegoat Xu Miyu for a recent allergy incident and her tardiness to the meeting, but Ji Feng is prepared. He reveals that an investigation has traced the department’s failures back to Feng Kaixin’s own falsified reports and neglect. Furthermore, Ji Feng produces evidence linking Feng Kaixin to the theft of hotel shampoo and a recent linen scandal. Citing his corruption and failure to meet professional standards, Ji Feng fires Feng Kaixin on the spot, asserting his authority as General Manager despite protests from other executives.
