At the hotel event, the woman who spilled wine on Ji Feng tried to shift the blame by accusing Xu Miyu of pushing her. Miyu remained calm and explained that the guest had only seen champagne on her tray and had gone to the buffet herself to find red wine, leading to the collision. When the woman continued to be disruptive, Li Qiaoqi stepped in and splashed a glass of wine in her face.
Duan Aoxiang then questioned the woman’s presence; unable to produce an invitation, she was forced to leave the party in shame. Ji Feng was skeptical of the hotel laundry's ability to clean his high-end suit, so Miyu offered to take it to a specialized dry cleaner she knew on Maoming Road. Duan arranged for the costs to be covered by the guest rooms department. Outside, Miyu ran into Li Qiaoqi, who was shocked to see her working as a cleaner.
Miyu admitted that as a woman in her thirties with a blank resume, she had struggled to find work and decided to start from the bottom. Later, Li Qiaoqi confronted the Vice President, Xue Rui, about Miyu’s placement. Xue Rui claimed he was unaware of their relationship and that he had offered Miyu the service position only because her resume didn't meet the criteria for marketing.
The next day, Miyu helped an elderly guest, Tan Jiaming, call a ride-hailing car after he struggled with the app. When she later delivered the cleaned suit to Ji Feng, she asked him for a positive review to offset recent complaints and save her monthly bonus. Ji Feng was dismissive, arguing that she should prioritize her skills over ratings. He lectured her on the true meaning of hospitality and told her that her financial situation was not his concern.
Miyu was hurt by his bluntness, calling out his lack of empathy. As Miyu prepared to leave, she was approached by a guest named Mr. Ray, who began sending her inappropriate messages and commenting on her scent. Miyu asked her supervisor, Zhang Cailu, to assign someone else to his room, but Zhang dismissed her concerns as a cultural misunderstanding. She ordered Miyu to continue her duties, reminding her that she couldn't afford any more complaints.
Miyu soon noticed that Tan Jiaming appeared to be in poor health. Her colleague, Yin Xiang, warned her that he was a grumpy regular who preferred to be left alone, but Miyu remained concerned. While finishing her shift, she noticed a delivery bag of food hanging on Tan’s door that had gone cold. Fearing the worst, she entered the room and found him collapsed in the bathroom. With the executive floor deserted, Miyu rushed to Ji Feng's room for help.
Ji Feng performed CPR while Miyu contacted the front desk and called an ambulance. Because the ambulance was delayed by road construction, the hotel manager used her private car to rush Tan to the hospital, with Ji Feng driving. Miyu stayed by Tan's side throughout the night, and Ji Feng brought her a sandwich before she continued her vigil. By morning, Tan regained consciousness, and a woman claiming to be his cousin arrived to take over his care.
When Miyu returned to the hotel, the supervisor publicly praised the team for handling the emergency, but the credit was given entirely to Yin Xiang, who was officially on duty at the time. Yin Xiang did not correct the mistake out of fear of losing her wages, and Miyu decided not to expose her. Ji Feng, who had observed Miyu’s tendency to take the blame for others, questioned if she was a people-pleaser.
Miyu explained that she simply understood how hard everyone worked. Ji Feng then asked Miyu for a secret favor: he wanted her to bring him one bottle of shampoo from an occupied guest room and one brand-new bottle from the storage room. Miyu followed his instructions but was nearly caught by Zhang Cailu. Zhang noticed a bottle of shampoo was missing and became suspicious.
Later, Zhang was heard on a secretive phone call, expressing fear that Miyu had discovered their scheme involving hotel supplies. She promised her contact that she would find a reason to fire Miyu within a few days, a conversation overheard by Yin Xiang. A few days later, Tan Jiaming returned to the hotel. Miyu had personally ensured his room was equipped with safety railings and an emergency alarm. Despite his gruff exterior, he and his cousin were clearly grateful.
Meanwhile, Ji Feng found a mysterious note under his door instructing him to meet at the kitchen's back door at noon. Following the lead, he witnessed a suspicious transaction. As he was documenting the exchange, he was suddenly confronted by Xue Rui.
