Day after day, Hu Xiu finally reached the end of her life. As she lay in bed unattended, Nan Ya walked in from outside, called her "Auntie," and maintained her usual elegant and calm demeanor. At this moment, Lin Fanglu rewatched the interrogation video of Nan Ya, and a segment where Nan Ya commented on her feelings for Zhou Luo reached Zhou Luo's ears word for word, breaking his heart.

On the night of the train incident, Zhou Luo accompanied Nan Ya after swimming in the cold river. As soon as they got ashore, he felt a burning sensation on his skin, as if every cell in his body had been activated. Nan Ya told Zhou Luo that she came here to remind herself that death is easy, but she still has her daughter Wan Wan, so she doesn't have the freedom to die.

Unexpectedly, Nan Ya made a scene at the dinner and even waited at the restaurant for half the night. She didn't see Xu Yi until the banquet ended, as he had already slipped away through the back door. On a night of torrential rain, Nan Ya walked listlessly on the street. Since then, Zhou Luo and Chen Jun started following Xu Yi, trying to gather evidence of his crimes. The day Nan Ya returned home, she received a poetry collection, finding it difficult to respond to Zhou Luo's feelings. Not long after, Wan Wan disappeared while playing near the house.

Nan Ya was distraught and ran to ask Lin Guixiang and others if they had seen Wan Wan. Zhou Luo gathered everyone to help search, but after a whole day, they found nothing. Reminded by Zhou Luo's father, they instantly thought of Xu Yi. Indeed, Xu Yi admitted on the phone that he had taken Wan Wan and even used this to threaten Nan Ya into giving up the idea of divorce.

Because Wan Wan was not in good health, everyone immediately contacted the police and accompanied Nan Ya to Shengda Construction Engineering Company. However, the police refused to dispatch officers, citing that Nan Ya and Xu Yi were not divorced. Therefore, everyone decided to force their way into the company to get the child back. Unexpectedly, the company gate was locked, and they couldn't determine Xu Yi's whereabouts. That night, Nan Ya was like a soulless walking corpse, her heart solely focused on her daughter's safety.
