As Qin Fang was abducted by Yangbo, Zhou Wandong and Jia Guizhi silently trailed them, determined to observe Yangbo's intentions. Meanwhile, Yan Furui arrived at Si Teng's dwelling, where she was growing anxious about Qin Fang's prolonged absence. Upon hearing from Yan Furui that Yangbo had been acting strangely, Si Teng immediately set out with him to search for Qin Fang. On their way, Yan Furui spotted blood.

Si Teng recognized it as Qin Fang's but remained unhurried, which made Yan Furui extremely agitated. They eventually discovered a letter from Shen Yindeng to Yangbo at his house, revealing her instructions on how to resurrect herself. Qin Fang was roused by Yangbo. He attempted to expose Shen Yindeng's misdeeds, including harming children, but Yangbo, consumed by a delusional love, passionately defended her as a benevolent mountain spirit, dismissing any accusations of malice.

He stated that Shen Yindeng had written to him, instructing him to find Qin Fang because she believed Qin Fang knew how Si Teng, who had supposedly died, returned to life. Qin Fang, however, admitted he had no idea of the true method of Si Teng's resurrection. Yangbo, convinced Qin Fang held the key, then produced a mushroom, consuming one half himself and compelling Qin Fang to take the other.

After consuming the mushroom, Yangbo experienced a vision of Si Teng's resurrection and, exhilarated by the knowledge he believed would save Shen Yindeng, rushed off to find her. Qin Fang, after a period of unconsciousness, awoke with the immediate urge to find Si Teng and inform her of Shen Yindeng's plan to use his memories.

Si Teng arrived just in time, instructing Yan Furui to assist the injured Qin Fang back to the inn while she ventured into the cave alone to confront Yangbo. Hidden nearby, Zhou Wandong and Jia Guizhi decided to remain concealed and observe. As Si Teng cautiously entered the cave, she discovered Yangbo and Shen Yindeng both lifeless.

It was then that Si Teng had a profound realization: it wasn't merely any human blood that could revive a Yi, but specifically Qin Fang's blood that possessed such extraordinary efficacy. Upon exiting the cave, Si Teng's face was clearly seen by Jia Guizhi, who was seized by terror, mistaking her for the formidable Bai Ying. Frightened, Jia Guizhi frantically urged Zhou Wandong to swiftly complete the tasks that "Bai Ying" had supposedly commanded.

Back at the bamboo house, Si Teng found Qin Fang suffering from an excruciating headache, which she deduced was caused by residual toxins from Chisan. She used her powers to alleviate his pain, prompting her to ponder Qin Fang's true identity and the unique properties of his blood. With Wafang having been revived by Si Teng, Yan Furui became even more devoted to her. He and Wafang prepared to follow Si Teng and Qin Fang back to Yuhang.

At the airport, Yan Furui, after ensuring Wafang was settled, informed Qin Fang that he needed to attend to some business for Si Teng, leaving Wafang in Qin Fang's care and arranging for his schooling. Qin Fang then suggested Si Teng explore the airport's various shops, mentioning she might enjoy modern clothing like belted trench coats.

Though initially weary of his chatter, Si Teng accepted Qin Fang's offer to listen to music, and they quietly shared a moment of calm amidst the bustling airport. Si Teng also confided in Qin Fang that she was still weak after absorbing Shen Yindeng's power and needed to rest once they arrived in Yuhang. She shared a past anecdote about intentionally wasting Shao Yankuan's money but now feeling a reluctance to do the same to Qin Fang.

Touched by this, Qin Fang offered her a place to stay at his home. Upon arriving in Yuhang, Qin Fang attempted to contact Shan Zhigang but received no answer. Concerned, he dispatched his company's secretary to check on him. The secretary discovered Shan Zhigang in distress but, as instructed by him, refrained from alerting the police, instead rushing him to the hospital. Qin Fang and Si Teng immediately went to the hospital.

After a brief conversation with Shan Zhigang, Qin Fang prepared to leave with Si Teng. Unbeknownst to Qin Fang, as they departed, Shan Zhigang caught sight of Si Teng's face and, recognizing her, desperately tried to follow them. Later, at Shan Zhigang's home, where Qin Fang went to retrieve some clothes for him, Si Teng wandered through the house and discovered a small space containing Chen Wan's portrait and personal belongings, including a bracelet Qin Fang had given her.

Through these mementos, Si Teng witnessed the true circumstances of Chen Wan's demise: years ago, a distraught Shan Zhigang had accidentally knocked her into the water and was too paralyzed by shock to save her. Si Teng also sensed something unusually peculiar about Shan Zhigang, despite him appearing to be an ordinary human.

Meanwhile, Qin Fang, overcome with grief and anger, rushed to the hospital to confront Shan Zhigang, who initially denied his role and attempted to shift blame onto Si Teng. Enraged, Qin Fang exposed Shan Zhigang's hypocrisy by revealing that he had found Chen Wan's portrait and the bracelet in his home. Faced with this undeniable evidence, Shan Zhigang finally conceded that he had accidentally harmed Chen Wan, admitting he should have faced the truth years ago.

He then desperately tried to dissuade Qin Fang from trusting Si Teng, but Qin Fang, solely focused on Chen Wan, demanded that Shan Zhigang reveal the full truth to Chen Wan's parents to give them long-overdue closure.
