When Xie Anai saw Xu Hongdou come over for breakfast, she teased Xie Zhiyao for saying the night before that he should give up his fantasies, yet here he was continuing to fantasize the very next day. Embarrassed, Xie Zhiyao quickly led her out of the kitchen, signaling her to stop talking. Xu Hongdou was still completely unaware of what was going on between the grandmother and grandson.

On a whim, Xu Hongmi decided to visit her younger sister to see how she was doing in Yunmiao Village. She brought her daughter along to the coffee shop. Watching Xu Hongmi’s back, Xu Hongdou felt she resembled her older sister. Lin Na responded that the temperament of wealthy ladies was probably all the same. Xu Hongmi’s daughter, Lingdang, spotted Xu Hongdou and immediately ran over to greet her.

Because of Xu Hongmi and Lingdang’s visit, Lin Na couldn’t help but share the news in the group chat, and the conversation heated up. Xie Zhiyao even accompanied Xu Hongdou and Lingdang to the fields to pick mint and other plants. Since Lingdang grew up in the city, she didn’t recognize any of the herbs, and Xu Hongmi also had some misconceptions.

Xie Zhiyao had a great time playing with Xu Hongdou and Lingdang, but Xu Hongmi was busy with work, constantly giving instructions over the phone or replying to emails on her laptop, unable to relax. To Xie Zhiyao, Xu Hongdou and Xu Hongmi were two completely different types of women. Xu Hongdou admitted her sister was outstanding among peers, a model of success, while she herself was mischievous, stubborn, and playful, disliking being controlled.

Even so, in Xie Zhiyao’s eyes, Xu Hongdou was the perfect girl, making her feel a bit shy from the compliments. Lingdang wanted to play with the pet dog, but Xu Hongmi stopped her. Xu Hongdou felt it was fine for children to interact with animals and even took photos for her. In fact, Xu’s parents had long known that Xu Hongdou had resigned.

While making dumplings at home, they speculated whether the sisters had argued again and decided to keep pretending they didn’t know. Mr. Liu from Shaohua Book House suddenly decided to inspect Yunmiao Village and would be bringing his family along, catching the village committee off guard. They quickly held a meeting to discuss countermeasures. Xie Zhiyao suggested playing it by ear, as it was a private trip, and there was no need to be overly formal.

He and Huang Xinxin would take the lead in receiving the guests, showcasing the natural charm of Yunmiao Village. Originally, Xu Hongdou planned to take Lingdang to town for the day, but when she received Xie Zhiyao’s call, she changed plans and allowed free time. Xu Hongdou, Xie Zhiyao, and Huang Xinxin welcomed Mr. Liu and his wife, taking them on a tour of Yunmiao Village to see various traditional crafts and buildings. Mr. Liu’s assistant also came along.

The assistant was very active and asked Xu Hongdou many questions. She patiently and thoroughly shared her experience in Yunmiao Village. Even at the dining table, the assistant continued asking on Mr. Liu’s behalf, leaving Xie Zhiyao puzzled. While Huang Xinxin introduced the scenery to the Liu couple, Xie Zhiyao pulled Xu Hongdou aside.

They looked up the assistant’s name online and were shocked to find that he was actually the head of Shaohua Book House, the chief designer Zhang Mingyu. That explained why Zhang Mingyu was so talkative. In the end, Xie Zhiyao and Xu Hongdou decided to let him probe them while they subtly tested his interest in cooperation. Fortunately, the Liu couple and Zhang Mingyu left satisfied. After a long day’s work, Xie Zhiyao and the others saw Huang Xinxin home.

On the way back, Xu Hongdou almost twisted her ankle on a rock, but Xie Zhiyao caught her in time. The atmosphere between them grew unmistakably romantic.
