Psych-Hunter Episode 15 Recap
> Psych-Hunter Recap
Yan Hong emerged from a room. Boss Feng suddenly appeared, dismissing everyone else to be alone with her. Yan Hong poured him a glass of water, feigning a conspiratorial alliance. However, Boss Feng showed no mercy, revealing that Six-Fingers believed a woman like her belonged in the Hell of Scissors. He then fatally stabbed Yan Hong with the very scissors she had hidden away. Meanwhile, Jiang Shuo and Yuan Muqing were searching for Qin Yiheng.
They found his shoes and clothes under a tree. Yuan Muqing pointed out footprints on the ground that did not match Qin Yiheng’s shoes, and Jiang Shuo suggested he had been abducted by the masked man. As the bell tolled, signaling another death, they rushed back to their lodging. They found Yan Hong dead. Yuan Muqing then confronted Boss Feng, accusing him of killing Takeuchi and Yan Hong.
Boss Feng then used trickery, stringing Jiang Shuo up and threatening his life to force Yuan Muqing to handcuff herself to the bed. Yuan Muqing complied. Suddenly, Boss Feng began to cough up blood, realizing the poison Yan Hong had put in his tea—a potent sedative not to be mixed with tea, which she had told him about—was taking effect. Before succumbing, Boss Feng pulled out a lighter, intending to take Jiang Shuo and Yuan Muqing with him.
Jiang Shuo exchanged a glance with Yuan Muqing, then managed to grab a knife from Boss Feng and cut himself down. However, the lighter still ignited the room. Jiang Shuo frantically tried to free Yuan Muqing from the handcuffs but a falling beam crushed him. As flames engulfed them, Yuan Muqing tearfully confessed her love for Jiang Shuo, who, with his last ounce of strength, reciprocated before losing consciousness. The two awoke to find themselves in a secret room.
Mirrors on the walls displayed images foreshadowing the deaths of previous victims. Jiang Shuo also saw an image of himself from a year prior, revealing that he was indeed Six-Fingers' disciple and the masked man from that time. Just then, a masked figure appeared behind them. The figure removed his mask, revealing the missing Qin Yiheng. Qin Yiheng, now the masked man of the present, asked Jiang Shuo if he remembered their past connection.
He then declared that only one of the three of them would survive that day before knocking both Jiang Shuo and Yuan Muqing unconscious again. Jiang Shuo next awoke in a prison cell, bound by an iron chain. A voice from an adjacent cell told him that this was the "18th level of hell," a place for murderous lunatics.
As he struggled to recall events before losing consciousness, a terrifying memory flashed through his mind: he had killed both Qin Yiheng and Yuan Muqing, and he was the sole survivor. Before he could process this, the cell door opened, and a doctor, accompanied by two prison guards, entered. The guards led Jiang Shuo to another cell, where inmates immediately recognized him, shouting "Mad Jiang Shuo, the murderer!"
Overwhelmed, Jiang Shuo turned to see Qin Yiheng, seemingly alive, but the doctor dismissed it as a worsening hallucination. In the infirmary, Jiang Shuo vehemently denied killing Qin Yiheng, questioning if the doctor was an associate of Six-Fingers. The doctor explained that Jiang Shuo was there due to his severe mental illness, which had caused his brain to create a defense mechanism, making him forget traumatic events like murder.
Despite Jiang Shuo's protests, he was restrained and injected with a drug. The doctor then led Jiang Shuo through a simulated memory, forcing him to witness himself "killing" Qin Yiheng. Jiang Shuo staunchly refused to believe it, asserting that he would never harm Qin Yiheng, especially since he had just seen him. The doctor then presented a confession statement for the murder of Qin Yiheng, urging him to sign it for treatment.
Jiang Shuo scornfully refused, demanding concrete evidence and demanding to confront Six-Fingers directly. Back in his cell, the voice from the adjacent cell advised Jiang Shuo not to antagonize the other prisoners or confess, warning that there would be no turning back if he did. The voice explained that if he didn't confess to a crime he didn't commit, they would be forced to continue his "treatment." Jiang Shuo proclaimed his intent to escape, and the voice offered help.
Using a diversion by screaming about a murder, the voice attracted the guards, allowing Jiang Shuo to slip out of his cell. The area outside his cell was eerily empty. He entered a laundry room, where he heard Qin Yiheng's voice echoing in his mind, but couldn't locate him. Just then, the doctor and guards arrived, apprehending Jiang Shuo, who again saw Qin Yiheng.
The doctor once more tried to coerce Jiang Shuo into confessing, but Jiang Shuo demanded proof of his guilt. In response, the doctor took Jiang Shuo to meet Master Qin, Qin Yiheng's brother. Master Qin angrily accused Jiang Shuo of his brother's murder. Jiang Shuo tried to explain himself, but soon realized Master Qin could not hear him.
Bewildered and unable to recall what truly transpired after Qin Yiheng's grim declaration of "only one of us can live," Jiang Shuo was lost. The voice from the cell then offered a crucial hint: if he wanted to find the person he was looking for and unravel the truth, he needed to find a way into the archive room. Moments later, Jiang Shuo called out to the guards, declaring, "I want to confess!"
