Following her confrontation with Wu You at Qingliang Lake, Rong Le returned to the General's manor, only to collapse from a severe headache after a tense argument with Fu Chou. A physician diagnosed her condition as psychological, explaining that her recovery was uncertain and depended on a "mental cure." While Rong Le lay unconscious for three days and nights, Fu Chou remained by her side, personally tending to her without rest. His devotion moved Ling Yue, who observed his despair.
Fu Chou, holding the comatose Rong Le’s hand, confessed that he couldn't bear the torment of her condition, vowing that he would not care if she left or even hated him, as long as she would wake up. During her coma, Rong Le experienced fragmented visions of Yu's Fort, hearing children reciting texts, before suddenly awakening. Ling Yue informed her of her three-day-long stupor and Fu Chou's tireless vigil.
Later, Rong Le confided in her friend Chen Yu, expressing her feeling of homelessness and mentioning her increasingly vivid dreams of Yu's Fort. Chen Yu suggested she return there, hoping it might trigger her lost memories. That night, Rong Le, in disguise, revisited Yu's Fort. She saw a masked woman in black on a swing, which triggered a memory of two young girls reciting text together.
The woman then poured Shilixiang wine on the ground in a ritualistic manner before entering a secret chamber. Rong Le followed but was discovered. In the ensuing struggle, she managed to unmask the woman but failed to see her face in the darkness. Meanwhile, a worried Fu Chou waited for Rong Le to return. When she finally appeared late at night, he confessed his fear that she had left for good.
Rong Le coldly reaffirmed their half-year agreement, stating that everything would end once the time was up. She then agreed to accompany him to a tea gathering hosted by Prince Zhenbei the next day, accepting it as part of her duties as his wife. At the Moon Embrace Teahouse, Prince Zhenbei (Qianyi) welcomed the couple, expressing his disdain for formal titles.
Rong Le impressed him with her knowledge of tea, noting that his Phoenix Narcissus tea would be best steeped with dew water. As she offered to prepare it, she revealed herself as the teahouse's owner. Qianyi marveled at her many identities—an official’s daughter, a princess, someone he initially mistook for Prince Li's (Wu You's) wife, and now a general's wife and teahouse owner. While Rong Le was away, Fu Chou apologized for the security lapse at Qingliang Lake.
Qianyi thanked him, explaining that the delay allowed him to meet his two saviors, Rong Le and Wu You, revealing he had also invited Wu You. At the mention of Wu You's name, Fu Chou's demeanor changed, and he excused himself to check on Rong Le. As Rong Le was preparing the tea, Wu You arrived. Fu Chou, seeing them, called out to Rong Le, startling her and causing a hot teapot to slip.
Fu Chou caught it, scalding his own hand. Using the incident as a pretext, he then falsely claimed to Qianyi that Rong Le had been burned and quickly excused them from the gathering. Before they left, Qianyi's attendant gave Rong Le a personal gift. Fu Chou warned her to be wary of Qianyi, whom he described as shrewd despite his free-spirited appearance. Left alone, Qianyi invited Wu You for tea.
Qianyi deflected Wu You’s questions about his political motives, noting that a man like Wu You, who could easily quell rebellions, must also have his own strategies. The conversation then shifted to the legendary "Book of Mountains and Rivers." Wu You refused to discuss its location, citing the painful history associated with it. Qianyi insisted his interest was for the people, not possession.
He then questioned why Wu You, a man of passion, allowed societal rules to keep him from Rong Le. Wu You replied that true love does not require possession and that her happiness was all that mattered. Later, Sun Yali visited Wu You, using a cut on his hand as an excuse to see him. She informed him of a flower-viewing banquet hosted by the Empress, and Wu You agreed to accompany her.
Elsewhere, the Empress and the Crown Prince discussed Sun Yali as a potential bride for Prince Zhenbei, noting her talents and rumored relationship with Wu You. Rong Le returned to her garden to find Qianyi’s gift: a pot of wine with a note reading, "I hope that this can absolve your worries," leaving her perplexed as she dislikes wine. Meanwhile, Fu Chou met with the Crown Prince, apologizing for his lateness and citing his worry over his wife's "accidental" scald as the reason.
