However, upon entering the studio, Youyou discovered her sample nails had been destroyed. Ye Zi, after checking the surveillance video, realized her new boyfriend, Xiao Rui, was responsible but didn't reveal this to Youyou.
Instead, she urged Youyou to gather new materials while she cleaned up the mess. Ye Zi then called Xiao Rui, who eventually admitted to accidentally breaking a glass box and apologized, fearing her anger. Ye Zi then deleted the surveillance footage to protect him. Meanwhile, Youyou struggled to recreate her design because the new opal gemstones weren't of the same quality as the previous ones, which had come from a valuable bracelet given to her by Lin Tiannuo.
She worried about the high cost of acquiring an identical bracelet. Yi Han, recalling Youyou's recent emotional outbursts, suspected she might be pregnant after reading that early pregnancy can cause mood fluctuations and "sobbing without cause or reason." Later, caught in a heavy rain shower, Youyou expressed her frustration over the "scam call" and her perceived failure in the competition, lamenting the wasted expensive bracelet. Yi Han reassured her, praising her work and expressing his respect. A week later, Youyou watched the International Nail Art Contest finals online, hoping to learn from the world's top artists. To her astonishment, the host displayed her work, praising its exceptional quality and expressing regret that the talented Chinese artist was not present despite their numerous attempts to contact her. Youyou was stunned, realizing her work had qualified. She immediately suspected the invitation might have been sent to her old home and rushed there, but found no trace of it.
Yi Han later found her sitting sadly at the old house, distressed by her mother's absence and the impending demolition of the property. He carried her home. That evening, while Yi Han prepared a rainbow-colored bubble bath for Youyou, clarifying that the expensive bath bombs were promotional gifts, Youyou discreetly went to the security room.
