Lin Tiannuo arrived at a designated spot to purchase a ticket from a scalper. Yi Han was also there, but was first chased and beaten by someone. After Lin Tiannuo paid ¥3,500 via WeChat, he quickly realized he had been scammed and immediately chased after the scalper. The scalper then tried to trick Yi Han into paying first, but Yi Han was wary and attempted to take a ticket directly from the scalper's bag.
When Lin Tiannuo caught up, Yi Han, wanting to save face, quickly hid. The three engaged in a tiring chase through the streets. Eventually, Lin Tiannuo managed to snatch a ticket from the scalper, only for Yi Han to promptly take it from him and head home. Yi Han returned home delighted with the ticket, imagining Youyou's joyful reaction.
However, he found Youyou on the phone with Lin Tiannuo, who informed her that Mr. Qin Chuan himself would personally escort them to his art exhibition. Youyou's excited screams filled the air, much to Yi Han's chagrin after all his effort to secure a ticket. The next day, Youyou and Lin Tiannuo were at Qin Chuan's art exhibition, discussing inspirations from the art, specifically how it could apply to nail art.
Youyou suddenly spotted Yi Han and rushed after him, leaving her phone and bag behind. Lin Tiannuo answered her ringing phone, which was a call from Kan Di. Kan Di urgently warned Lin Tiannuo not to be photographed with Youyou because Yi Han was embroiled in another scandal. She explained that Sun Qingqing had intentionally fallen on Yi Han at a hotel, and a manipulated video of the incident had been posted online, portraying Yi Han negatively.
Youyou found Yi Han at the exhibition, and Lin Tiannuo brought her forgotten belongings, informing Yi Han about the incident with Sun Qingqing. Yi Han, seemingly unfazed, dismissed the issue and instructed Lin Tiannuo to handle Sun Qingqing’s situation, so he could continue enjoying the art exhibition with Youyou. Yi Han then removed his glasses and mask, openly accompanying Youyou. Meanwhile, Kan Di confronted Sun Qingqing at her hotel, demanding she issue a public statement.
Kan Di stipulated that the statement must not mention Yi Han and threatened to release the full surveillance video, which showed what truly happened, if Sun Qingqing's clarification was unsatisfactory. Youyou found the story of Yi Han and Lin Tiannuo battling over the ticket amusing and laughed heartily. She told Yi Han to reimburse Lin Tiannuo for the ¥3,000 he paid, insisting he do it via WeChat.
At home, they chatted and laughed, seemingly forgetting their recent cold war and effectively reconciling. Soon after, Sun Qingqing publicly announced her relationship online, sharing a photo of her actual boyfriend, to which the public criticized her for trying to gain popularity by associating herself with Yi Han. With this, the negative news surrounding Yi Han was resolved. Lin Tiannuo approached Kan Di, asking for a favor.
He explained that his parents had arranged a blind date for him, including a dinner with both sets of parents that weekend, and he wanted Kan Di to help him disrupt it. Kan Di initially refused to pretend to be his girlfriend, but Lin Tiannuo clarified that he only needed her to appear as someone pursuing him and subtly sabotage the dinner.
He convinced her by stating that he had someone he liked and was very faithful, and that her quick wit and unscripted acting skills made her the perfect person for the task. Kan Di, satisfied with his reasoning, agreed. The next morning, several men abducted Youyou from her shop, causing the manager to panic and attempt to call the police. However, Ye Zi intervened, stating that the police would not handle a domestic dispute.
In the car, Youyou threatened to call the police, only to be startled by Yi Han appearing from the back seat. Yi Han revealed he had orchestrated the "kidnapping" as a surprise, referencing Youyou's recent comment about life being too plain and lacking excitement. He then took her to the French Romance Estate, the place where her mother grew up.
Youyou was angered by his unilateral decision-making, stating her dislike for people who make choices for her under the guise of her own good. Yi Han, however, explained that he would rather she dislike him now than live with regret later. He then presented her with a letter from her mother. After a moment of hesitation, Youyou took and read the letter.
The letter, dated June 23, 2014, expressed Youyou's mother's deep love and daily longing for her since her departure. It explained that she couldn't contact Youyou because she didn't want to selfishly seek forgiveness after causing harm to both Youyou and Lu Ming. Her mother also revealed that she had saved ¥20,000 for Youyou's dowry, with the password being Youyou's birthday.
Reading the letter brought Youyou to tears, and she finally reconciled with her mother and the pain of the past. She asked Yi Han why he hadn't shown her the letter sooner, to which he replied that he knew she was normally fearless but would become vulnerable when facing such an emotional issue, so he had to trick her into coming first.
He offered to leave immediately if she changed her mind, but Youyou simply reached out for him, and they embraced. Elsewhere, Lu Ming held a photo of his parents, recalling how he once doubted his mother's love because she wouldn't buy him sneakers, completely unaware of his sister's existence at the time. Ran Zishu comforted him, urging him to let go of the past and look forward to his reunion with Youyou.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, a doctor told Gao Lang to prepare for the worst regarding his sister, Gao Xiaofei, who was in the Emergency Intensive Care Unit and might not survive the night. Gao Lang desperately called Kan Di, begging her to ask Yi Han to visit his sister, promising to forget all past grievances if he did. Kan Di expressed her willingness to help but regretfully informed him that Yi Han was not currently in Shanghai.
Back at the estate, Yi Han stood by Youyou's side, metaphorically addressing her mother. He confidently spoke of Youyou's growth, assuring her mother that Youyou possessed a superhuman ability to lead a happy life, was talented, and excelled at earning money. He proclaimed their "alliance of the giants" and their destiny for happiness, expressing heartfelt gratitude for Youyou's mother bringing her into the world and asking for their blessing from above.
Youyou, in turn, confirmed that she was not "bought off" by the money. When Yi Han asked why she hadn't questioned him about the intimate photo with Sun Qingqing online, she confidently stated that she knew it was him but also knew he would never truly like Sun Qingqing. He playfully suggested he might have liked Sun Qingqing for her "great body," but Youyou simply reiterated, "In any case, I just know that you wouldn't like her. Just like you knew that I couldn't face my mom." They then shared a passionate kiss.
