The school was preparing for the sports meet, and the homeroom teacher asked Song Ziqi to lead the class and sign up everyone for events. After school, You Keke approached Ding Xian again, this time with a glass jar filled with paper stars, and asked her to pass it to Zhou Siyue. Ding Xian felt helpless—she didn’t understand why You Keke always asked her for favors.

The next day, Zhou Siyue received the gift in his desk and assumed it was from Ding Xian. He said he had read the previous letter and chose to forgive her for what she said. Sun Shadi, sitting in front, interjected and told Zhou Siyue it wasn’t Ding Xian but You Keke who sent the gift. Zhou Siyue was taken aback and asked Ding Xian to step outside—he had something to say.

Zhou Siyue scolded Ding Xian, telling her not to act like a delivery person for others, not to be afraid of useless gossip, and not to pass along gifts for others again. With the sports meet approaching, You Keke thanked Ding Xian for helping her earlier and said she wanted to have meals together from now on. This made Sun Shadi jealous, thinking Ding Xian had become close with girls from other classes and was ignoring her.

Meanwhile, the water Ding Xian had prepared for Zhou Siyue after his long run was taken by another male student, which made Zhou Siyue furious. At home, Ding Xian continued writing in her diary. She still hadn’t given Zhou Siyue the drawing she prepared, hadn’t made up with Sun Shadi, and hadn’t dared refuse You Keke’s request for help. Ding Xian felt she was just a timid and overly agreeable girl. On Zhou Siyue’s birthday, they still hadn’t made up.

Everyone gathered to celebrate with him, and he kept waiting for Ding Xian to show up. Ding Xian had forgotten his birthday—she only realized when she pulled out the gift she had prepared for him and saw the date written on it. In a rush, she ran out to find Zhou Siyue. When she mustered the courage to open the private room in the restaurant, it was already empty. Ding Xian felt disappointed.

Just then, Zhou Siyue came in from outside. Ding Xian apologized, and Zhou Siyue asked her to make it up to him by blowing out the candles with him again. Ding Xian gave him the gift she had prepared: a drawing of the nebula from his birthday night. Zhou Siyue, in return, gave Ding Xian a phone—his prize gift from winning an award—so he could reach her anytime. During the holiday, the school arranged extra classes.

Zhou Siyue, already familiar with the curriculum for the second year of high school, explained things to Ding Xian. The teacher called Zhou Siyue over to talk about a city-level competition and wanted him to participate. He Xingwen overheard while hiding nearby. Ding Xian accidentally stepped on Sun Shadi’s diary—a gift from her father from Japan and her favorite notebook. Sun Shadi locked herself in the bathroom and cried.

Ding Xian chased after her to apologize and offered to replace it. She also confessed about everything that happened and hoped for forgiveness. Touched by Ding Xian’s sincere apology, Sun Shadi reconciled with her. Back home, Zhou Siyue teased Ding Xian for managing to make up with Sun Shadi but not giving him the same courtesy, saying he was really pitiful. One day, a group of friends had a meal together and discussed whether to choose humanities or science.

Sun Shadi and Zhou Siyue were good at science, and Ding Xian also decided to work hard in science so she wouldn’t be separated from them. Just then, You Keke showed up, wanting to sit next to Ding Xian. Sun Shadi didn’t like You Keke, and the two argued over Ding Xian. Ding Xian told Sun Shadi to go back to the classroom first—she wanted to talk to You Keke.

You Keke told Ding Xian she no longer liked cold and aloof boys like Zhou Siyue and wanted to hang out with Song Ziqi instead. Ding Xian told her not to do that, or Sun Shadi would get angry.
