Sensing Xue Jingkong's deteriorating condition due to the Flower Goddess's curse, Feng Ruche entered his room while he was bathing, though she pretended not to notice. She told him that a meteor shower would occur in a few days and asked if they could watch it together, to which Xue Jingkong readily agreed. Later, Feng Ruche and Yun Muyang delved into the books left by Xing Shang Li, discovering a way to save Xue Jingkong.

They found that breaking the Flower Goddess's Jade and transferring the Flower Goddess's spiritual power to Feng Ruche would reopen the energy channel and save Xue Jingkong. However, the Flower Goddess's Jade was difficult to destroy and required the legendary Flower Shifter Nail from Stars Pavilion. Yun Muyang warned Feng Ruche that if the spiritual power transferred to her, her mortal body would be reduced to ashes.

Feng Ruche, understanding her sacrifice, resolved to proceed, declaring she would be selfish for once to save Xue Jingkong, who had done so much for her. As they watched the meteor shower together, Xue Jingkong explained that the meteor dust kept Novoland afloat and spoke of the Scorching Core within the Sky Eye, created by Feng Ruche's grandfather, Ji Shu, which was powerful enough to destroy an entire city.

Feng Ruche, burdened by her secret plan, asked Xue Jingkong if he would remember her if they were ever separated. He promised he would, urging her to look up at the star of Gu Xuan, the star of parting, and think of him, as he would summon a meteor shower to fulfill all her wishes. Feng Ruche, however, wished for a star of reunion.

As they embraced, Feng Ruche placed what she believed was the Flower Shifter Nail into Xue Jingkong's chest. He immediately began to bleed, shocking Feng Ruche, who realized something was terribly wrong. Yun Muyang then emerged from the shadows, revealing that the Flower Shifter Nail was a myth; the item was actually the Soul Reaper Nail, which he had deliberately placed in Stars Pavilion. He claimed it could instantly kill even a powerful magician like Xue Jingkong.

Feng Ruche then disclosed that she had already suspected the book wasn't truly Xing Shang Li's work, but Xue Jingkong had refused to believe Yun Muyang would betray him. Despite Yun Muyang's deception, Xue Jingkong was not severely wounded by the Soul Reaper Nail. Overcome with malice, Yun Muyang taunted Xue Jingkong, claiming he could still kill him without the nail. Yun Muyang then summoned Jin Nian's spiritual power to attack Xue Jingkong.

A fierce battle ensued, with Xue Jingkong wielding his staff. During their confrontation, Yun Muyang cunningly stole the Flower Goddess's Jade from Xue Jingkong and brutally smashed it. With the Flower Goddess's Jade destroyed, the spiritual channel between Xue Jingkong and Feng Ruche was forcibly reopened, initiating the transfer of energy. Yun Muyang mockingly addressed Xue Jingkong by his true name, Fang Wu Yi, asking if he wanted to see Feng Ruche die with her organs ruptured and soul destroyed.

Feng Ruche, accepting her fate, told Xue Jingkong she was happy to have loved him in this life. Unable to bear witnessing Feng Ruche's demise, Xue Jingkong defeated Yun Muyang, then made the ultimate sacrifice. He plunged his staff into his own body, ending his life to break the Flower Goddess's curse.

With his dying breath, Xue Jingkong promised to protect Feng Ruche forever and ever, asking her to live a good life, and whispering "I love you" as he faded into ashes while Feng Ruche cried in anguish. Xue Jingkong's death shattered Jin Nian's seal, releasing it from captivity. Jin Nian, enraged, vowed revenge on Xue Jingkong by harming Feng Ruche. However, an unseen spiritual energy protected Feng Ruche, holding Jin Nian at bay.

Feng Ruche, realizing Xue Jingkong was still guarding her, remembered his earlier words about the Sky Eye's Scorching Core, which could destroy an entire city. She understood Xue Jingkong's unspoken message: she must use the Scorching Core to defeat Jin Nian. An emergency declaration was sounded in Nanyu, causing widespread panic as citizens feared the city's collapse.

As Feng Ruche moved to retrieve the Scorching Core, Yun Muyang confronted her, determined to protect Jin Nian, believing it could resurrect his beloved Qian Yin in the Eternal Dreamland. Feng Ruche vehemently argued that the dreamland was an illusion and Qian Yin could not be brought back. In their brutal fight, Yun Muyang severely wounded Feng Ruche's golden wings.

Just as Feng Ruche faced imminent danger, her sword, the Ruche Sword, rose into the air before her, guided by an unseen force. Realizing Xue Jingkong was fighting alongside her, Feng Ruche wielded the sword, defeating Yun Muyang. As he died, Yun Muyang saw a final illusion of Qian Yin. Feng Ruche successfully retrieved the Scorching Core and used its immense power to destroy Jin Nian. Despite the immense power of the Scorching Core, Feng Ruche miraculously survived.

Soon after, Fang Qimo discovered Xue Jingkong's body, preserved in ice in a frozen lake outside the city. Feng Ruche rushed there, finding him submerged, confirming that he had never truly left her. With peace restored, Feng Ruche rebuilt Nanyu City and returned Shuang City to the human race.

She enacted laws ensuring equal rights and co-governance for humans and the Winged clan, reduced taxes, and welcomed advice, becoming the most virtuous ruler in the history of the Lanzhou Continent, surpassing her predecessors. Though her subjects praised the Winged Empress's benevolence, those close to her knew that her face had not borne a smile since that fateful day, and she remained more solitary than the most spectacular fireworks in the sky.

Ten years later, Feng Ruche visited the frozen lake, carrying Pear Blossom Crisp. She spoke to Xue Jingkong, recounting the changes over the decade, never forgetting him. As a tear of longing fell from her eye, the ice surface began to crack, and spiritual orchids bloomed around them. Xue Jingkong, clad in white, materialized before her. Feng Ruche, overjoyed and tearful, rushed to embrace him. However, Xue Jingkong had no memory of who he was or even his own name.

Feng Ruche, undeterred, held him close, telling him his name was Xue Jingkong and that the first snow marked his birthday. After years of separation, they were finally reunited, having broken the Flower Goddess's curse. Feng Ruche vowed to never let go of his hand again, embracing their shared future as true lovers finally found their way back to each other.
