> Novoland: The Castle in the Sky 2 Recap
Xue Jingkong sensed Feng Ruche was in danger, but with his spiritual power greatly diminished, he could only ride his horse urgently to find her. Meanwhile, Feng Ruche and her companions received a distress signal from Lian Yi, indicating that Qi Zhenxian was in peril. Her comrades insisted on protecting Feng Ruche, urging her to go save their lord. Though concerned for them, Feng Ruche accepted, telling them to take care of themselves as she rode off.
At the same time, Yun Muyang arrived at the Wu Xiang Camp, ordering them to proceed immediately to assist their lord while he remained behind to cover their retreat. Surrounded by enemy forces, Yun Muyang defiantly refused their calls for surrender, proclaiming he would fight to the end even if it meant death. Du Xianyin, still recovering from her self-inflicted poison, flew in, urging him not to die. Though heavily wounded, Yun Muyang recognized her.
He expressed his profound gratitude for her past rescues and, just before collapsing, confessed his love for someone, hoping that in a next life they would meet in a peaceful world where he could ask her to be his wife. Distraught, Du Xianyin unveiled herself, revealing her Golden Wings to carry Yun Muyang to safety.
The supposed "empty city" of Linchi proved to be a cunning trap set by Wei Yuan Ting, who taunted Qi Zhenxian, revealing his scouts had been killed and offering lavish rewards to anyone who eliminated him. A fierce battle ensued, and Qi Zhenxian was gravely wounded. Lian Yi bravely fought to protect him. Feng Ruche arrived, using a treasured item from her Qiankun bag to help Qi Zhenxian, but Wei Yuan Ting shot it down.
As Feng Ruche fell, a sharp pain shot through her ear, and her Golden Wings dramatically re-emerged before the shocked eyes of everyone present. The Wu Xiang Camp soldiers arrived shortly after. Seeing this display, Qi Zhenxian immediately declared Feng Ruche the Golden Wings General, second only to himself, stating that only she could now contend with Du Xianyin.
Feng Ruche then quickly assigned some men to protect the injured Qi Zhenxian, while commanding the rest of the army to forge a path ahead. Inspired by her Golden Wings, the soldiers recognized her as the true Golden Winged Empress and fought with renewed vigor, eventually breaking through the enemy encirclement. The Silver Wings Cavalry suffered devastating losses in the battle. Fang Qimo was heartbroken and attempted to retrieve a fallen comrade, Qin Fang, despite the danger.
Feng Ruche stopped him, explaining that their comrades had sacrificed their lives so they could live, and going back would render their sacrifice meaningless. She acknowledged everyone's grief but pointed out that Qi Zhenxian was in a coma and Yun Muyang's fate was unknown. Given the heavy casualties, she ordered a strategic retreat to the underground palace.
Deeply impressed by Feng Ruche's leadership and the emergence of her Golden Wings, the surviving soldiers hailed her as their general and pledged their lives to her. Feng Ruche, however, clarified that their loyalty should not be to her personally, but to the spirit and dreams represented by the Silver Wings banner. She rallied them with a powerful declaration: "Punish the evil and uphold justice! The evil must be killed or the people will suffer!"
Later that night, Xue Jingkong finally arrived on horseback, much to Feng Ruche's surprise. He embraced her tightly, apologizing for leaving her alone and vowing never to do so again. Feng Ruche, exhausted and vulnerable, admitted she hadn't expected war to be so brutal. Xue Jingkong acknowledged the war's dangers, noting even an experienced warrior like Yun Muyang struggled, and commended her for her courage.
He offered to leave with her once Yun Muyang was found, to escape the mortal world's troubles. However, Feng Ruche stated that with the return of her Golden Wings, she believed she was meant to fulfill a greater purpose, even though she disliked war. Observing her resolve, Xue Jingkong remarked that she had truly grown. Meanwhile, Yun Muyang awoke in an abandoned lodge by a river, where Du Xianyin was tending to his wounds.
She explained she had ignored Zi Juan's advice and risked her life to find him. Still weakened, Yun Muyang pressed her for the truth about her identity, but she fainted. After she revived, Du Xianyin, still suffering from the Red Thorn poison, urged him to rest. Yun Muyang then carved a wooden hairpin for her, declaring it a token of his feelings, and promised that once he recovered, he would report to his lord to announce their marriage.
Du Xianyin, emotional, asked if he loved her for who she truly was or for some other reason. Yun Muyang assured her it was purely because of her, expressing his forgiveness for any past actions if she was honest with him. Du Xianyin then pleaded with him to stay for a few days to recover, admitting her selfishness but fearing he would prioritize his military duties upon his return.
Yun Muyang, though concerned about Qi Zhenxian and his ambushed army, eventually agreed. They spent a peaceful time together in the secluded lodge. Du Xianyin reminisced about her difficult childhood, wishing she had met him sooner. She then asked if he would forgive her if she made mistakes. Yun Muyang firmly stated that with him by her side, she wouldn't make any, and they would grow old together.
A memory of Madam Xuan Ji's prophecy about the Golden Wings Plating Technique shortening her life briefly crossed Du Xianyin's mind, making her propose living in seclusion permanently. Yun Muyang believed it wasn't the right time. He reassured her that her life belonged to him since their encounter at Wuji Arena, and he wouldn't let her die. Du Xianyin, touched, agreed to follow him wherever he went. Eventually, Yun Muyang and Du Xianyin returned to the camp, where soldiers cheered his return. He then went to see Qi Zhenxian.
