Mr. Ou confronted Congtou, accusing him of attempting to flee. Congtou vehemently denied the accusation, swearing on his life that he would face a horrible death if he ever considered running, explaining that his recent encounter with a woman on a boat was merely for pleasure and completely normal. Mr. Ou acknowledged that Glasses had kidnapped Congtou's wife, Zhu Xiaoyue, and child, and promised to investigate.
However, he sternly warned Congtou that given the recent betrayals and losses within their organization, any attempt to back out would mean the end of their years of friendship. Congtou insisted he wasn't backing out but desperately wanted his wife back. Mr. Ou dismissed him, stating he understood. As Congtou left, he deliberately taunted Glasses, asking him to take good care of his wife and child. Enraged by Congtou's words and Glasses's incompetence, Mr. Ou slapped Glasses, criticizing his failure.
Glasses, in turn, lashed out at his subordinate, Shao Nan, for not being vigilant and ordered him to immediately find Mu Qing and Li Ruosheng. Ou Kexin entered and, noticing Glasses's bruised face, subtly defended him to Mr. Ou. She learned from her father that a major business deal was underway, and once it was completed, everything would come to an end.
Meanwhile, Mu Qing and Li Ruosheng, after leaving Ou Kexin's studio, locked the door, effectively trapping Zhu Xiaoyue inside. Mu Qing met with Rong Yao, asking him to persuade Xiaoyue to work with the police. Rong Yao reminded Mu Qing to protect Skylark, who had already returned to Mr. Ou's house for her undercover mission. Mu Qing reassured him, stating that Skylark was highly capable and her senior. Back at the studio, Xiaoyue realized she was locked in.
When Li Ruosheng returned, she seized the opportunity to knock him unconscious and escaped. In his dazed state, Li Ruosheng managed to text Mu Qing about Xiaoyue's escape. Mu Qing quickly informed Ou Kexin that Xiaoyue was gone. He instructed Li Ruosheng to immediately withdraw any men he had sent to search for Xiaoyue, fearing that Glasses would discover they had been hiding her. Mu Qing decided to search for Xiaoyue himself.
Soon after, Congtou called Mu Qing, requesting a meeting. Rong Yao, receiving Mu Qing's update, dispatched police precincts to discreetly search for a pregnant woman named Zhu Xiaoyue and headed to the command center with Zheng Ke. Xiaoyue walked the streets for a while and borrowed a girl's phone to call Congtou, but his phone was out of service area. She tried twice without success and returned the phone. Mu Qing met Congtou, who arrived having evaded his pursuers.
Congtou offered Mu Qing a notebook containing contacts and secret codes for all his raw material suppliers, demanding to see Xiaoyue in return. Mu Qing took the notebook, knowing Xiaoyue had escaped and needing to stall for time. Ou Kexin, realizing the slow progress in finding Xiaoyue, decided to return to monitor Glasses, leaving Mu Qing to keep Congtou calm and unsuspicious. Xiaoyue was later spotted by Shao Nan's men while eating at a restaurant.
Glasses received the news and quickly excused himself from Ou Kexin. Ou Kexin, suspecting Glasses had found Xiaoyue, cleverly asked him to buy her foundation. As she approached his car, she discreetly attached her phone, which was acting as a tracker, to his vehicle. Glasses sped away, however, the phone came loose and fell onto the road, causing the police to lose his signal.
Zheng Ke reported the signal loss, and Rong Yao deduced that Glasses was attempting to transport Xiaoyue by boat from the cargo dock near Highway 316. Rong Yao ordered Li Yimeng and Bao Yunhai to head to the cargo dock to rescue Xiaoyue and instructed Mu Qing to prepare for Congtou's arrest. Mu Qing called Congtou, giving him a meeting location and promising to return Xiaoyue.
Congtou arrived, handed the notebook to Mu Qing, and was immediately surrounded and arrested by police. He stubbornly refused to cooperate until he saw Xiaoyue unharmed. Meanwhile, at the dock, Glasses had already loaded Xiaoyue into a cargo container on a ship. He instructed his men to release her once they were on board, remembering her pregnancy. Bao Yunhai, disguised as a security guard, attempted to stop the ship, but Glasses recognized him as a member of Task Force 84.
Glasses shot Bao Yunhai, whose bulletproof vest protected him, and then escaped by boat into the sea. The coast guard was alerted and pursued Glasses's boat. They eventually intercepted it, but found no suspects or hostages on board. Glasses had cunningly staged a decoy, as they had never boarded the ship, instead escaping by car. During their escape by car, Xiaoyue experienced severe labor pains.
Glasses took her to a private clinic, but the doctor stated that due to complications from prenatal stress and a ruptured amniotic sac, only the mother or the baby could be saved. He urged Glasses to take her to a proper hospital. Xiaoyue, hearing her life and her child's were at risk, threatened Glasses, vowing to expose his role in Ou Kexin's accident three years prior if anything happened to them.
Enraged, Glasses almost shot her but restrained himself, recognizing her continued usefulness. He then rushed her to a hospital. Glasses reported to Mr. Ou, expressing his suspicion that Congtou had betrayed them, citing Congtou's recent frequent money transfers to offshore accounts and the police's swift arrival at Xiaoyue's location. Mr. Ou agreed that Congtou could no longer be kept. Glasses further implicated Mu Qing and Li Ruosheng, finding their past staged feud suspicious.
The Sky Eye system located Xiaoyue at Renai Hospital. Rong Yao learned that she had safely given birth to a healthy baby boy, and both mother and child were doing well. He immediately dispatched Li Yimeng to protect them, anticipating Glasses's attempt to remove them from the hospital. Rong Yao then proceeded to interrogate Congtou, who remained uncooperative until Rong Yao informed him about the birth of his son, congratulating him on becoming a father.
At Renai Hospital, Glasses was attempting to arrange a transfer for Xiaoyue and the baby, but the hospital staff insisted on a signature from an immediate family member. Li Yimeng, disguised as a nurse, approached Xiaoyue, revealing her identity as a police officer and urging Xiaoyue to cooperate. Xiaoyue feigned unconsciousness.
Other police officers, also in medical attire, pretended to rush Xiaoyue away for emergency treatment, but in reality, they transported her to the hospital basement to rendezvous with Rong Yao. Moments later, Li Yimeng returned to take the newborn for feeding, but a cautious Glasses, still highly suspicious, insisted on accompanying her to the nursery.
