Two students were seen harassing another student in the academy, demanding money from him, when Zheng Chu Yao intervened, asserting his territory and ordering them to leave. Witnessing this, Lin Xing Chen became even more convinced that Zheng Chu Yao was her "Bear Knight." Shortly after, she inadvertently bumped into Jiang Nianyu, spilling her milk tea and staining her clothes. Jiang Nianyu took off his jacket and draped it over her, telling her not to move.
Lin Xing Chen, initially stunned, quickly remembered her urgency to find Zheng Chu Yao, complaining that he disappeared so quickly. Unbeknownst to her, a hidden observer overheard her declaration that Zheng Chu Yao was the Bear Knight. Lin Xing Chen caught up with Zheng Chu Yao and insisted they go home together. Their path was suddenly blocked by a group of men, one of whom brandished a gun and forced them to follow.
Quick-thinking Lin Xing Chen, while appearing frightened, secretly dialed Jiang Nianyu's number. Speaking loudly, she strategically provided details of their location by mentioning landmarks like the student store and the parking lot. Zheng Chu Yao, meanwhile, attempted to intimidate their captors by invoking the power of the Re Yao Group. To ensure Jiang Nianyu understood the gravity of their situation, Lin Xing Chen then specifically addressed him as "Xiao Yu Senior" over the phone, feigning fear about his supposed cowardice.
After sending Yu Yang Yang to fetch help, Jiang Nianyu located Lin Xing Chen and Zheng Chu Yao on the academy's back lawn. The abductors, discovering Lin Xing Chen's active phone call, became enraged. Zheng Chu Yao, despite his earlier bravado, engaged the abductors in a fight. As one of the assailants pointed what appeared to be a gun directly at Lin Xing Chen, Jiang Nianyu suddenly appeared, swiftly subduing the attackers.
It was then revealed that the weapon was merely a water gun. Soon after, Yu Yang Yang arrived with reinforcements, who quickly pursued the fleeing assailants. Noticing Lin Xing Chen's hand still clasped in Jiang Nianyu's, Zheng Chu Yao grew visibly uneasy and walked away in a huff, declaring he would investigate the incident. Lin Xing Chen followed him, but when he dismissed her concern, she noticed bloodstains on her own clothes and realized Jiang Nianyu might be injured.
Returning to the scene, she found Yu Yang Yang tenderly bandaging Jiang Nianyu's arm. Feigning to have lost her chapstick, Lin Xing Chen quickly left the awkward scene after a brief, tense exchange with Yu Yang Yang, who pointed out that Jiang Nianyu had risked his life for her. Meanwhile, Chen Ming Li, CEO of DOLLY Corporation, was dealing with a severe financial crisis as their stocks were being maliciously acquired.
During a meeting, she received a call from her old rival, Ye Kai. He gleefully informed her that he was buying DOLLY's shares and had secured agreements with major stakeholders, boasting that her life's work would soon be his. Chen Ming Li vehemently rebuked him, rejecting his offer of mercy and vowing that DOLLY would never fall into his hands.
Separately, it was revealed that Chen Ming Li was behind the abduction incident, using a subordinate and a toy gun to orchestrate the event, a secret she explicitly forbade him from revealing to the Lin or Zheng families. Driven by the principle of "eating to replenish what's hurt," Lin Xing Chen decided to cook pig trotters soup for Jiang Nianyu. She secretly placed the homemade soup in his locker with a note.
Later, she observed him eating it and subtly hinted that her soup was better than canteen food, to which Jiang Nianyu replied with a simple "thank you" and a rare smile, reminding her about their lesson that night. Both men vied for her attention, but she ultimately chose to go with Zheng Chu Yao for dance practice. Later, Lin Xing Chen visited the Three Bears Book Store, hoping to find her "Bear Knight." The Boss Lady informed her that the bear had taken the day off. After Lin Xing Chen left, it was revealed that Jiang Nianyu had been hiding.
The Boss Lady urged him to confess his true identity, warning him that his reticence would only push her toward someone else. At the farewell ball, Lin Xing Chen made a grand entrance in a custom DOLLY Corporation gown. However, when the Principal announced the opening dance, Zheng Chu Yao unexpectedly invited Yu Yang Yang to be his partner. After the dance, he publicly kissed her, leaving Lin Xing Chen stunned and humiliated.
As guests whispered unkind remarks, Jiang Nianyu intervened, gracefully inviting her to dance and urging her to maintain her composure "like a princess who will never be defeated." Unable to contain her pain, Lin Xing Chen broke away and demanded an explanation from Zheng Chu Yao. Feeling utterly alone, Lin Xing Chen was then surprised to see the Bear Knight standing below her window, holding up signs offering comfort and promising to be her sunshine. She rushed downstairs, chasing him and demanding to know his identity. When he refused to answer, she pulled off his mask, discovering that the Bear Knight was, in fact, Jiang Nianyu.
