Lin Xing Chen awoke in her luxurious princess bed, unable to recall how she had returned home after being left in the rain. As she clutched the small bear in her arms, a memory surfaced of the gentle Bear Knight who had tended to her wounds. While she was lost in thought, her phone rang. It was Meng Xi, asking her to come to Four Leaf College.
Upon arriving, Lin Xing Chen met with Meng Xi, who was not only the principal of Four Leaf College and Zheng Chu Yao's uncle but also the man she had harbored a crush on since childhood. She immediately reiterated her long-standing desire to marry him, declaring she came to Four Leaf College to chase after him. Meng Xi dismissed her aspirations as childish, questioning why she hadn't grown more sensible with age.
While he acknowledged her artistic qualifications for the college, he noted her academic knowledge was lacking and that he had arranged for a solution. Completely captivated by his presence, Lin Xing Chen barely registered his words, yet readily agreed to whatever he suggested, only afterward wondering what he meant by "starting tonight." Later, while wandering through the college, Lin Xing Chen stumbled upon Jiang Nianyu teaching Yu Yang Yang to play the clarinet.
When Yu Yang Yang briefly stepped out, Lin Xing Chen saw a chance for mischief. She impersonated Yu Yang Yang's voice, feigning an injury to lure Jiang Nianyu out of the room. Once alone, Lin Xing Chen slipped inside and stuffed a crumpled piece of paper into his clarinet. When Jiang Nianyu and Yu Yang Yang returned, his first note sent the paper wad flying into Yu Yang Yang's head.
Jiang Nianyu silently unfolded the paper, which he recognized as a page from Lin Xing Chen's manga sketchbook, and a subtle smile touched his lips. Back home, Lin Xing Chen discovered that Meng Xi's solution was a tutor, who turned out to be Jiang Nianyu. Distraught, she attempted to dismiss him, accusing him of deliberately trying to get closer to her and declaring a relationship between them was impossible. Jiang Nianyu, however, insisted he was simply fulfilling the principal's request.
When she tried to bribe him into leaving her alone, he refused, citing his promise. She then tried to blackmail him by calling him a pervert, referencing an earlier incident. Undeterred, Jiang Nianyu discovered her reading a BL manga hidden inside her math textbook. He then produced her personal sketchbook, which he had found by the poolside, and threatened to expose her as a "rotten woman" by dropping it on campus if she didn't study seriously.
Faced with this counter-blackmail, Lin Xing Chen reluctantly complied. At school, Lin Xing Chen overheard several female students gossiping about her, diagnosing her with "Princess Syndrome" and calling her a failure for not winning over Zheng Chu Yao. Lin Xing Chen boldly confronted them, confirming their rumors were true and mockingly questioning if their facial features were the result of plastic surgery, solidifying her status as a public adversary.
Meanwhile, Lei Jia Na fumed over being publicly shamed by Lin Xing Chen. Zhou Wei approached her, presenting a high-end designer bag as a gift. Overjoyed, Lei Jia Na assumed he wished to reconcile. However, Zhou Wei clarified he was merely comforting an old friend, which infuriated her and sent her chasing him in a fit of rage. The Four Leaf College was forming a symphony orchestra, with Yu Yang Yang assisting with recruitment.
Zheng Chu Yao arrived, stating he was forced to join by his father, who believed participation would enhance their company's image. He comically listed his poor skills on the piano and violin. Despite his lack of talent, he refused to leave until Yu Yang Yang allowed him to join and was eventually assigned the "heavy responsibility" of playing the triangle.
He later asked Yu Yang Yang to spread a rumor that he joined the band to pursue her, hiding his father's coercion. During a tutoring session, Lin Xing Chen accidentally fell onto Jiang Nianyu, causing him to become dizzy, his heart to race, and his hands to tremble. She realized he had a severe aversion to physical contact, a weakness she was pleased to have discovered and could potentially exploit.
Chen Ming Li informed Lin Xing Chen that Dolly Corporation was launching a new brand and had chosen her and Zheng Chu Yao as spokespeople. When Lin Xing Chen hesitated, Chen Ming Li harshly warned her that if she couldn't even win over Zheng Chu Yao, she would lose her purpose for staying in the Lin family, placing her under immense pressure.
Lin Xing Chen sought to audition for the pianist position in the orchestra but was told by Teacher Cheng that the spot was filled by Lei Jia Na. Present at the time, Zheng Chu Yao pointed out that a violinist position was still open. Teacher Cheng, seemingly trying to make things difficult, suggested that as a wealthy student, Lin Xing Chen should respect Yu Yang Yang, who was working as the band's assistant due to family hardships.
Determined to join, Lin Xing Chen declared she would audition for the violin, despite not having touched the instrument since elementary school. She practiced furiously all night, interrupted only by a call from her mother, who urged her to "catch this rich fish" to secure their financial future. At the audition, no one was willing to perform a duet with her, with Lei Jia Na feigning a hand injury.
Just as Lin Xing Chen was in a bind, Jiang Nianyu entered and offered to accompany her on the piano. Their performance was a success, and to ensure she could stay, Jiang Nianyu, who had initially been hesitant, agreed to become the orchestra's conductor. Zheng Chu Yao's father, highly impressed by Lin Xing Chen's talent, praised her extensively in front of his son, fueling Zheng Chu Yao's resentment.
He met Lin Xing Chen on the school rooftop, expressing his desire for a relationship based on love, not a "family marriage" driven by business interests. Pressured by her stepmother and her own mother's financial demands, Lin Xing Chen pragmatically accepted the arrangement. She stated that as children of their families, they couldn't avoid such things, and that while he was overbearing, he "looked decent" and, most importantly, his "family was rich." Angered by her purely transactional view, Zheng Chu Yao grabbed her arm, demanding to know if she truly wouldn't mind anything he did, as long as his family had money.
