Nan Sasa found herself in Zheng Ze's arms, having fallen after her bag strap got caught in a taxi door. Recognizing him, she noted the coincidence and attempted to add him on WeChat, but he quickly disappeared. As Nan Sasa prepared to leave, she spotted Lucy and Wang Te walking hand-in-hand and discreetly followed them into a bridal shop.
Meanwhile, Ding Xiaorou went downstairs to dispose of trash, where a security guard warned her to be careful when drinking, as she might attract unwanted attention. Puzzled, Ding Xiaorou was then met by an exuberant Nan Sasa, who informed her that Lucy and Wang Te were preparing to marry. Nan Sasa excitedly recounted her "great victory" in retrieving Ding Xiaorou's design fee, stating that she had helped Ding Xiaorou get back the "unjust wealth" Lucy had taken.
Ding Xiaorou, however, already knew about Lucy and Wang Te being together. Nan Sasa then vividly described her confrontation with Lucy, whom she called a "little wolf dog" and "bad woman." At the bridal shop, Lucy was furious to find that the wedding dress she had admired was now being worn by Nan Sasa. A sales assistant explained that Lucy hadn't paid a deposit, giving other customers the right to purchase it.
A fierce bidding war ensued between Nan Sasa and Lucy, with each raising the price significantly. Lucy ultimately purchased the dress at an exorbitant cost. Afterward, a sales assistant discreetly thanked Nan Sasa, revealing that the additional money paid by Lucy was arranged to go to Nan Sasa, a move orchestrated by William. Feeling triumphant, Nan Sasa expressed her gratitude to her "prime minister" for his ingenious help.
She also gloated about Lucy's recent misfortune, including falling into a swimming pool. Ding Xiaorou met Zheng Ze for their first date. They visited a familiar scenic spot where they once filmed a show, enjoying its beauty in the daylight before going boating and taking pictures. Feeling grateful for his company, Ding Xiaorou offered to treat Zheng Ze to ice cream.
During their conversation, Zheng Ze revealed that his favorite anime is "One Piece," which he watches whenever he's feeling down. He also shared his passion for collecting "One Piece" merchandise, including coral fleece blankets, pillows, and cushions featuring Luffy. While on their date, volunteers from the China Children and Teenagers’ Foundation approached them, selling "love balloons" to support left-behind children. Ding Xiaorou bought a blue balloon. Zheng Ze took a flyer and, seeing an advertisement for a charity window design competition, encouraged Ding Xiaorou to participate, recognizing it as an opportunity related to her dream of window design. That evening, Chi Xin waited at a romantic restaurant he specially booked to meet Jiang Yuan, hoping to rekindle their relationship.
Jiang Yuan arrived late, prompting Chi Xin to reflect on their past. He recalled their first French dinner six years ago, where his work demands made her unhappy. He sincerely apologized for not being considerate of her feelings and for failing to fulfill many promises, such as visiting the Twelve Disciples, dining at the Underwater Restaurant in Norway, or attending a concert together.
Jiang Yuan, while appreciating his efforts in planning the dinner, returned the concert tickets he had sent, stating that some things change and she never actually liked that music. She explained their breakup was not due to a third party but because they had become incompatible. She felt their relationship was "too tiring" because he calculated everything based on her supposed preferences, and she, in turn, tried to adopt his.
She declared that she no longer needs him to understand her. Jiang Yuan then left, leaving a distraught Chi Xin alone. To cope with his pain, he ordered numerous ice creams. Chi Xin later found himself by the riverside. Holding a string of balloons, he mused that happiness is an expensive commodity, not easily obtained from simple inflated rubber. He reflected that, like balloons, love can "oxidize and degrade," and perhaps letting go now would preserve the good memories.
He decided it’s time to say goodbye to his seven-year-ago self and released the balloons, symbolically letting go of his feelings for Jiang Yuan. After Zheng Ze escorted Ding Xiaorou home, reminding her to register for the window display competition, she excitedly called Nan Sasa to boast about her first date. Nan Sasa, eager for details and photos, was told by Ding Xiaorou to come to her place tomorrow to watch the program they filmed.
Nan Sasa then enthusiastically recounted her own two "romantic encounters" with a "high-scoring man" whom she described as "on the verge of extinction," believing she must "grab" him. As she passionately spoke, a trailer for Ding Xiaorou's program began playing on the TV, featuring Zheng Ze. Nan Sasa was utterly dumbfounded as she recognized her "romantic encounter" man, Zheng Ze, as the same man who just had a date with Ding Xiaorou.
