The morning after they spend the night together, Tian Jingzhi playfully questions Xue Ling Qiao about what he whispered to her while she was drunk. Xue Ling Qiao teasingly dismisses her queries, but their banter is interrupted by a call from Li Yanzhi. Li Yanzhi requests a meeting, revealing that the perpetrator of the villa homicide case took only a century-old photograph from the crime scene.
He suspects Xue Ling Qiao’s involvement, as Ms. Kan had mentioned Xue Ling Qiao asking about the photo. Xue Ling Qiao explains his belief that the man in the photograph might be the person who stole his ancestral jade heirloom a hundred years ago. Intrigued by the killer's unusual motive, Li Yanzhi agrees to cooperate with Xue Ling Qiao to capture the true culprit.
