Huang Donglei suffered from severe diarrhea after eating food from Jiang Shi, leading to multiple embarrassing encounters with Lan Xin. Despite his compromised state and even using the petals from a flower he intended for her as toilet paper, Lan Xin waited patiently for him and declared her love. Meanwhile, Lan Xin faced strong disapproval from her father, Chairman Lan, regarding her relationship with Huang Donglei. Chairman Lan confiscated her phone and placed her under constant surveillance by bodyguards.
These circumstances led to repeated misunderstandings for Huang Donglei, who mistook the bodyguard's close proximity to Lan Xin, even assisting her with her shoes, as a sign that she had found a new lover. Lan Tian, tormented by nightmares and guilt over an 11-year-old incident, struggled with revealing the truth. He confessed that he had caused Zhihao's death by tricking him into a swimming competition because he resented Zhihao for not allowing Song Chacha to marry him.
Lan Tian watched in fear as Zhihao disappeared in the water, only witnessing Bai Yongze trying to save him. He had subsequently befriended Bai Yongze after the latter lost his memory. Facing threats from Li Bao, Lan Tian secretly funded the struggling Kong family restaurant and convinced the owners to appoint Song Chacha as their head chef for the swim team's custom meals, a role she reluctantly accepted after Lan Tian's encouragement.
Li Bao, unhappy with Lan Tian's solution and attempting to stop him from revealing the truth to Song Chacha, chased him down the stairs but accidentally fell and was injured. Lan Xin, while attempting to escape her surveillance to see Huang Donglei, found the unconscious Li Bao and took her to the hospital, where she discovered Li Bao was faking her pregnancy. Lan Xin agreed to keep the secret.
Later, Li Bao accidentally revealed to Bai Yongze that she had threatened Lan Tian, infuriating Bai Yongze, who accused her of ingratitude for Lan Tian's help. Bai Yongze also secretly worried about Lan Tian's well-being. Driven by a desire to finally confess and inspired by Bai Yongze's belief in honesty in love, Lan Tian gathered Song Chacha and Bai Yongze and revealed the full truth about Zhihao's death. Song Chacha, devastated by the confession, ran off angrily.
Bai Yongze, seeing her pain, punched Lan Tian, blaming him for the revelation. Lan Tian admitted his feelings of inferiority to Bai Yongze but also his admiration for Bai Yongze and Song Chacha's courage. Feeling relieved after his confession, Lan Tian also called Nana to apologize and clarify he would no longer use her.
Song Chacha fell ill due to her emotional turmoil, but with Bai Yongze's supportive messages encouraging her to forgive Lan Tian, she eventually resolved her inner conflict. Upon recovery, she bravely told her family the true story of Zhihao's accident, revealing that Bai Yongze had nearly drowned while trying to save him.
Meanwhile, Lan Xin's attempts to contact Huang Donglei continued to be thwarted by her bodyguards, leading to further comical misunderstandings where Huang Donglei repeatedly misinterpreted the bodyguard's actions as Lan Xin having a new romance.
