Jiang Shi celebrates Bai Yongze's return by inviting Bai Yongze and Lan Tian for beer. Zhao Yan, after praising Song Chacha's new role as Bai Yongze's private chef, brings Song Chacha to join them. Upon hearing that Bai Yongze and Lan Tian will compete in the national swimming standard competition, Song Chacha excitedly congratulates Lan Tian, creating an awkward atmosphere, which prompts Song Chacha to leave. Li Bao hears about Bai Yongze's comeback and travels to Hainan to support him.
Upon entering Bai Yongze's room, she finds Song Chacha and Bai Yongze playfully interacting. Li Bao embraces Bai Yongze, acting as his girlfriend, and questions Song Chacha's identity and relationship with Bai Yongze. Noticing an identical ring on Li Bao's finger, Song Chacha becomes furious, feeling deceived. She returns her ring to Bai Yongze and threatens to quit. Bai Yongze chases after her to explain.
Song Chacha, upset, initially rejects his explanation, wanting to end their "fake relationship" and blaming him for the identical ring, despite being deeply moved by receiving her first ring. Bai Yongze clarifies that this is his first time giving a ring to a girl, and he had painstakingly found an identical one after losing the original, which he suspects Li Bao might have picked up. He didn't want to admit he lost it.
He adds that she can throw it away if she doesn't want it. Convinced, Song Chacha reaccepts the ring. Bai Yongze then confronts Li Bao, telling her he only feels pity for her and asks her to leave him alone and let go of their past. Li Bao is heartbroken.
Bai Yongze then texts Song Chacha to console her and asks her to return as his private chef, releasing his stress by running on the beach and telling her not to be afraid of getting hurt. During sprint training, Bai Yongze has another episode in the water and is rescued. Coach Huang immediately brings in Teacher Fang Jingjing, who diagnoses him with severe exercise anxiety and suggests relaxation training, including yoga.
Bai Yongze initially refuses but agrees to a deal: if he fails to get first place in the national standard competition, he will accept her psychological counseling and yoga. Jiang Shi informs Song Chacha about Bai Yongze's condition, making her feel guilty for not cooking well for him. The night before the competition, Song Chacha stays up late to stew chicken soup for Bai Yongze. The next morning, she brings it to his room.
Though she intended to pretend it wasn't specifically for him, she blurts out that it is. Bai Yongze cherishes the food box. Lan Tian, overhearing their interaction, is filled with jealousy and intensely trains in the pool, determined to win. During the national swimming standard competition, Song Chacha attends, which pleases Bai Yongze.
Bai Yongze takes a significant lead but suddenly stops near the finish line due to a recurrence of his chest pain, causing him to fail the competition and be hospitalized. Lan Tian wins third place. After his discharge and competition failure, Bai Yongze disappears, believing a comeback will be difficult. Everyone searches for him, and Song Chacha even blames herself, thinking her food might have caused his reaction.
During Lan Tian's celebration dinner, Song Chacha leaves to search for Bai Yongze and eventually finds him in the small woods where he had given her the ring. She comforts him, and he confides in her about his ongoing exercise anxiety and his fear of others discovering his condition. Song Chacha's comfort lifts his spirits, and he agrees to accept Teacher Fang's training.
He also shares how much he cherished her chicken soup, too much to drink, which pleases Song Chacha. Lan Tian, unable to find Bai Yongze after his own celebration, learns from his agent that Song Chacha has already found him and is with him, reigniting Lan Tian's jealousy. He then calls Song Chacha's mother, asking her to ensure Song Chacha returns home and waits at the door.
Upon their return, Song's mother scolds Song Chacha and tells her to maintain distance from Bai Yongze to avoid upsetting Lan Tian. Later, Bai Yongze and Lan Tian meet at a bar. Lan Tian says he looks forward to Bai Yongze swimming to his true potential and urges him not to mind his relationship with Song Chacha.
Bai Yongze expresses that he would give up if Lan Tian asked him to leave Song Chacha, but Lan Tian maintains his stance, claiming he only wants immense power to control his own life and doesn't care about their relationship.
