Zhou Shi and Wei Qing sought Dr. Chen's help to prove that Ning Fei had not yet recovered his memories, which would invalidate the documents he had signed. Dr. Chen explained that a court-ordered psychiatric evaluation would be a complicated process and potentially harmful to Ning Fei's career. He suggested that if they could bring Ning Fei to his clinic, he could perform a diagnosis and create a new treatment record.
Meanwhile, the Yunma Group was facing severe public criticism over the copyright infringement of Ning Fei's father's artwork. Li Mingcheng advised Wei Qing to avoid the public eye, but Wei Qing refused, stating that leaving now would only confirm the accusations. He also noticed that Zhou Shi, Lin Feifei, and Bi Qiujing seemed unusually calm, leading him to suspect they were concealing something. Zhou Shi and her friends were indeed taken aback by the intensity of the public backlash.
Zhou Shi debated whether to reveal the truth to Wei Qing, but with no updates from Ning Fei, she decided to confront Xue Zi first. Zhou Shi visited Xue Zi's office and questioned why she had betrayed Wei Qing. Xue Zi casually replied that mergers and separations are common in business, reminding Zhou Shi to maintain her loyalty to Snow Group and not to side with outsiders.
Zhou Shi argued that Xue Zi had guaranteed cooperation with Yunma, and then stabbed Wei Qing in the back. Xue Zi countered that Yunma had annexed Shangjue, an act she considered betrayal from an ally. She then firmly stated that Ning Fei was her brother, and she would not let his father's artwork remain in the hands of a "thief". Zhou Shi, losing her composure, exclaimed that the person Xue Zi was with was not the real Ning Fei.
Xue Zi challenged her to provide proof, then warned Zhou Shi not to disappoint her if she wished to remain at Snow. Later, Zhou Shi returned to Wei Qing's home, where he had prepared dinner. He tried to convince her to leave Snow, but Zhou Shi insisted on staying until the entire situation was resolved. Wei Qing attempted to gauge if she was hiding anything, but Zhou Shi skillfully evaded his questions.
At Xue Zi's house, Ning Fei was secretly searching her study for the diary. Xue Zi unexpectedly walked in and asked what he was rummaging through. Ning Fei quickly fabricated an excuse about looking for snacks, pointing to a nearby cabinet where he knew some were stored, feigning indignation. Though Xue Zi did not press the issue further, she remained suspicious, unaware that surveillance cameras were installed throughout the study.
Soon after, Ning Fei managed to slip away to Lin Feifei's house to update her and the others on his progress, but he couldn't stay long. Lin Feifei, reluctant to see him go, walked him to the door, asking why they were always separated. Ning Fei promised they would be together soon once everything was settled. Upon Ning Fei's return, Xue Zi confronted him, showing him footage of him searching her study.
Ning Fei, flustered, quickly devised a story, claiming that he occasionally regained his memories, and during these moments, he felt as if he were "sleepwalking," completely unaware of his actions. He suggested that the person in the video must have been his memory-recovered self. Xue Zi, though not entirely convinced, tried to restrict him from leaving the house, citing concerns about these "sleepwalking" episodes.
Ning Fei seized the opportunity to argue, accusing Xue Zi of manipulating him just as he believed Lin Feifei and others had, reducing him to a mere pawn. During this heated exchange, Xue Zi inadvertently called him "Ning Fei." He immediately reacted with feigned anger, reiterating his "Xue Ning" identity and accusing her of treating him like a pawn, which seemed to temporarily diffuse Xue Zi's suspicion and further reinforce her belief that he was still the amnesiac "Xue Ning."
However, Xue Zi remained largely unconvinced by Ning Fei's act. She visited Wei Qing, presenting him with the surveillance video as proof of Ning Fei's erratic behavior. She declared that Wei Qing's struggles were futile and demanded he transfer all of Zhou Shi's Yunma shares to her, also revealing that she had destroyed Ning Fei's treatment records. Wei Qing adamantly refused her demands.
Back home, Xue Zi confiscated Ning Fei's phone and made arrangements to move him to a different location, claiming it was to prevent further harassment from Lin Feifei and her friends. Unable to reach Ning Fei, Zhou Shi, Lin Feifei, and Bi Qiujing worried that he had been exposed. They decided it was time to reveal their plan to Wei Qing and enlisted his help in finding Ning Fei. Wei Qing immediately dispatched Wei An to search for him.
Shortly after, Zhang Shuai called, informing them that he had news about Ning Fei. Wei Qing, Zhou Shi, and their companions rushed to the resort where Zhang Shuai and Wu Xiao were waiting. Wu Xiao revealed that Ning Fei was currently staying at her father, Wu Zheng's, studio. Lin Feifei formulated a plan to go to the studio under the pretense of confronting Ning Fei, accusing him of being a "jerk."
Inside the studio, Wu Zheng, an old friend of Ning Fei's father, spoke with Ning Fei. He showed Ning Fei a photograph of his father and tried to persuade him that Wei Heng had illegally appropriated his father's artwork, mentioning a diary that detailed these events. Ning Fei, however, insisted that Wei Qing and his family were good people, asking to see the diary. At that moment, Lin Feifei arrived at the studio's entrance, loudly demanding to see Xue Ning.
Wu Zheng attempted to turn her away, but Lin Feifei burst into dramatic tears, publicly accusing Ning Fei of mistreating her. While Lin Feifei created this noisy diversion, Ning Fei swiftly searched the studio for the diary. After a few tense moments, Wu Xiao subtly signaled to Lin Feifei from behind Wu Zheng, indicating that Ning Fei had completed his search. Lin Feifei then abruptly ended her performance and left.
