Wei Qing saw Zhou Shi standing before him, her appearance instantly changing his expression. Zhou Shi, unaware that Wei Qing’s vision had returned, took the bathrobe and put it on, only later finding his earlier look peculiar. She didn't dwell on it, instead checking her phone to find numerous messages from Ning Fei. She quickly messaged Ning Fei, asking for his location.
As Ning Fei read her reply, an unknown assailant approached from behind and forcefully pushed him down a staircase, knocking him unconscious before he could respond to Zhou Shi. After getting dressed, Zhou Shi prepared to leave to find Ning Fei. However, Wei Qing confronted her, demanding to know why she had returned after two years of absence. Zhou Shi deliberately provoked him, claiming she was merely acting out of excessive sympathy, treating it as charity work for the blind.
Wei Qing, disbelieving her, insisted on a clear explanation. Feeling cornered and with time pressing, Zhou Shi dropped her bag, pulled Wei Qing by his clothes, and kissed him directly. Wei Qing was momentarily swept away, but still retained some rationality, asking if she intended to muddle through without explaining the past two years. Zhou Shi, unwilling to explain and uncertain about their future, declared herself to be his in that moment, suggesting "next time" if he was unwilling.
Wei Qing, however, would not let her go. As they embraced tightly and things were about to escalate, Ning Fei suddenly sent an urgent message, asking Zhou Shi to save him. Zhou Shi regained her composure and, ignoring Wei Qing's objections, prepared to rescue Ning Fei. In an emergency, Zhou Shi, unable to explain, quickly tied Wei Qing up with a towel and left the room.
Meanwhile, Lin Feifei's agent, Hong, instructed her to blame the allergic reaction on Shangjue's jewelry. However, Lin Feifei, worried that Xue Le might be fired because of it, took full responsibility herself. Xue Le, witnessing her selflessness, shook his head. To reassure her, Xue Le revealed his true identity. Lin Feifei exclaimed that she had been foolishly blind.
On her way home, she called Bi Qiujing to complain about the incident and mentioned running into Ning Fei again, engaging in a heated argument with him. Bi Qiujing calmly informed Lin Feifei during the call that Ning Fei was currently in the hospital with a head injury. It turned out that Bi Qiujing had discovered Ning Fei after he was pushed down the stairs by the mysterious person and had rescued him.
Despite her earlier complaints, Lin Feifei rushed to the hospital without delay. Bi Qiujing then contacted Zhou Shi using Ning Fei's phone, surprising Zhou Shi by her urgent call. When Zhou Shi arrived at the hospital, Bi Qiujing was visibly shocked and asked for an explanation.
Bi Qiujing questioned Zhou Shi about her relationship with Ning Fei, revealing that Ning Fei's phone password was Zhou Shi's birthday, and his phone contained many photos of them together from the past two years. Zhou Shi worried that Bi Qiujing might misunderstand and think she had stolen her best friend's boyfriend. However, Bi Qiujing's theories were far more outlandish, involving clones, astral projection, and brainwashing.
Bi Qiujing then affirmed that she trusted Zhou Shi and Ning Fei and would believe whatever explanation Zhou Shi provided, but she still wanted to know what truly happened during the last two years. At that moment, Ning Fei woke up in his hospital room and was surprised to see Lin Feifei by his side. Lin Feifei, seeing he was awake, prepared to leave, but Ning Fei insisted she accompany him to the restroom.
As they emerged, they overheard Zhou Shi explaining the events of the past two years to Bi Qiujing. Ning Fei realized that Zhou Shi had only cared for him as her best friend's boyfriend. Heartbroken, he pushed everyone away and ran out of the hospital. Lin Feifei chased after him, trying to reason with him, but a rebellious Ning Fei quickly shook her off. Lin Feifei searched all night for Ning Fei without success.
Having learned about the events of two years ago, she couldn't help but criticize Zhou Shi and Xue Zi. As she spoke, Zhou Shi prepared breakfast, calling Lin Feifei and Bi Qiujing to eat. However, given the recent events, Lin Feifei was still upset with Zhou Shi, creating an awkward atmosphere at the table. Bi Qiujing broke the silence by suggesting they each share a recent unlucky experience.
Lin Feifei recounted her allergic reaction to caviar and being trapped in the elevator. Zhou Shi then confessed that she and Wei Qing nearly rekindled their intimate relationship. Bi Qiujing then dropped a bombshell, revealing her suspicion that Li Mingcheng might be having an affair, leaving Lin Feifei and Zhou Shi utterly stunned.
