About Is Love 2 Episode 1 Recap
> About Is Love 2 Recap
Two years ago, Zhou Shi, an ordinary yet resilient art student, had an unexpected encounter with Wei Qing, the arrogant and self-important president of Yunma Group. Wei Qing, who had suffered from an allergy to people and remained single for a decade, finally found his first girlfriend in Zhou Shi after his recovery. They believed their love story had reached a happy conclusion, but little did they know that their true challenges were just beginning.
With Wei Qing's birthday just over ten hours away, and their dating anniversary three hours away, he was deeply engrossed in a major acquisition negotiation. His right-hand man, Li Mingcheng, who was once his rival in love but was now happily married, commented on Wei Qing's excellent performance since returning to the country. Li Mingcheng playfully reminded Wei Qing about the upcoming anniversary, noting how Wei Qing kept checking his watch for the time in a foreign country.
He then asked if Wei Qing wanted to cancel a scheduled interview after the meeting. Wei Qing, however, was determined to finish all his work within three hours. During the interview, Wei Qing publicly maintained a facade of being perfectly adapted to a long-distance relationship, claiming "absence makes the heart grow fonder" and that the 5G era made communication effortless. Privately, he admitted to Li Mingcheng that he truly despised the long-distance arrangement.
He confessed his regret over allowing Zhou Shi to study abroad, feeling she had grown so engrossed in her life there that she had forgotten about him. He lamented that the real obstacle between them wasn't distance but time, fearing that differing "time planes" would eventually lead them apart. Despite his public pronouncements, Wei Qing immediately called Zhou Shi after the interview.
Zhou Shi, sounding groggy, claimed she had been working on assignments for over ten hours and didn't remember the special day. To Wei Qing's annoyance, she added that she wouldn't be returning but had sent him a gift. Wei Qing, furious and feeling she had "had too much fun and had forgotten about him," continued to complain to Li Mingcheng about her indifference. Just then, a call about a parcel prompted Wei Qing to head outside.
To his surprise, Zhou Shi was standing there, having returned on a red-eye flight to give him a surprise. She had deliberately put on an act during their video call. Initially, Wei Qing remained cold, still annoyed by her playful deception. However, his expression softened and he broke into a smile when Zhou Shi sincerely wished him a happy birthday and explained she had flown back just for him, not having slept since the previous night.
Meanwhile, Lin Feifei, Zhou Shi's best friend, faced her own relationship troubles with her boyfriend, Ning Fei, who was five years her junior. While working at Lin Feifei's store, Ning Fei was flirted with by another girl. When the girl disrespectfully called Lin Feifei "Ma'am" and insulted her, Ning Fei, always protective, smeared a piece of cake on the girl's face. He declared Lin Feifei his fiancée, much to her exasperation, as he had never actually proposed marriage.
Separately, Bi Qiujing, a university lecturer, and Li Mingcheng's wife, lived an unconventional married life. Despite Li Mingcheng diligently managing all household chores and finances, Bi Qiujing felt an unexpected "emptiness," believing she wasn't fulfilling her wifely duties. In an attempt to "repay" him for the past year, she surprisingly kissed a bewildered Li Mingcheng. She then nonchalantly explained it was an experiment based on a "Funny Nobel Prize 2015" winning concept, much to his chagrin.
Later, while chatting with Lin Feifei, Zhou Shi mentioned that Wei Qing would never propose marriage due to his "towering pride." She then revealed a significant development: the famous oil painting artist, Jason Wu, had not only expressed interest in buying her paintings but also offered her an internship at his studio. While a rare opportunity, it would mean being unable to return to China for several more years.
Zhou Shi was still undecided and planned not to tell Wei Qing yet. However, Wei Qing, having quietly walked in, overheard their conversation and took her phone, abruptly ending the call. Though initially pretending disinterest, dismissing it as "girly gossip," he eventually confessed his longing, making a birthday wish to "have another girlfriend named Zhou Shi"—one who, while free to pursue her dreams, would ultimately return as her "original" self and stay by his side, rather than just visiting.
That evening, as Zhou Shi and Wei Qing enjoyed a moment, Lin Feifei and Ning Fei's relationship faced a dramatic turn. Ning Fei's sister, Xue Zi, who seemed to have unearthed information Ning Fei was seeking, sent men to forcibly take him to the airport for the last flight out. Ning Fei managed to send a distress message to Zhou Shi, who, with Wei Qing's immediate help, rushed to save him.
After a scuffle with Xue Zi's bodyguards, Wei Qing and Zhou Shi successfully helped Ning Fei get a moment to say goodbye to Lin Feifei. In a heartfelt confession, Ning Fei declared his love for Lin Feifei and urged her to wait for his return. Lin Feifei, heartbroken but putting on a brave face, retorted that she wouldn't "waste her youth waiting" and threatened to "cheat" if he disappeared.
Zhou Shi observed her friend's sadness, and Wei Qing, understanding the situation, told Zhou Shi to stay with Lin Feifei at the studio that night. Back home, Wei Qing discovered Zhou Shi had left her phone, realizing that perhaps the time for them to make big decisions was not yet right.
