About Is Love 2 Recap

Episode 1 Recap

Two years ago, Zhou Shi, an ordinary yet resilient art student, had an unexpected encounter with Wei Qing, the arrogant and self-important president of Yunma Group. Wei Qing, who had suffered from an allergy to people and remained single for a decade, finally found his first girlfriend in Zhou Shi after his recovery. They believed their love story had reached a happy conclusion, but little did they know that their true challenges were just beginning.

With Wei Qing's birthday just over ten hours away, and their dating anniversary three hours away, he was deeply engrossed in a major acquisition negotiation. His right-hand man, Li Mingcheng, who was once his rival in love but was now happily married, commented on Wei Qing's excellent performance since returning to the country. Li Mingcheng playfully reminded Wei Qing about the upcoming anniversary, noting how Wei Qing kept checking his watch for the time in a foreign country.

He then asked if Wei Qing wanted to cancel a scheduled interview after the meeting. Wei Qing, however, was determined to finish all his work within three hours. During the interview, Wei Qing publicly maintained a facade of being perfectly adapted to a long-distance relationship, claiming "absence makes the heart grow fonder" and that the 5G era made communication effortless. Privately, he admitted to Li Mingcheng that he truly despised the long-distance arrangement.

He confessed his regret over allowing Zhou Shi to study abroad, feeling she had grown so engrossed in her life there that she had forgotten about him. He lamented that the real obstacle between them wasn't distance but time, fearing that differing "time planes" would eventually lead them apart. Despite his public pronouncements, Wei Qing immediately called Zhou Shi after the interview.

Zhou Shi, sounding groggy, claimed she had been working on assignments for over ten hours and didn't remember the special day. To Wei Qing's annoyance, she added that she wouldn't be returning but had sent him a gift. Wei Qing, furious and feeling she had "had too much fun and had forgotten about him," continued to complain to Li Mingcheng about her indifference. Just then, a call about a parcel prompted Wei Qing to head outside.

To his surprise, Zhou Shi was standing there, having returned on a red-eye flight to give him a surprise. She had deliberately put on an act during their video call. Initially, Wei Qing remained cold, still annoyed by her playful deception. However, his expression softened and he broke into a smile when Zhou Shi sincerely wished him a happy birthday and explained she had flown back just for him, not having slept since the previous night.

Meanwhile, Lin Feifei, Zhou Shi's best friend, faced her own relationship troubles with her boyfriend, Ning Fei, who was five years her junior. While working at Lin Feifei's store, Ning Fei was flirted with by another girl. When the girl disrespectfully called Lin Feifei "Ma'am" and insulted her, Ning Fei, always protective, smeared a piece of cake on the girl's face. He declared Lin Feifei his fiancée, much to her exasperation, as he had never actually proposed marriage.

Separately, Bi Qiujing, a university lecturer, and Li Mingcheng's wife, lived an unconventional married life. Despite Li Mingcheng diligently managing all household chores and finances, Bi Qiujing felt an unexpected "emptiness," believing she wasn't fulfilling her wifely duties. In an attempt to "repay" him for the past year, she surprisingly kissed a bewildered Li Mingcheng. She then nonchalantly explained it was an experiment based on a "Funny Nobel Prize 2015" winning concept, much to his chagrin.

Later, while chatting with Lin Feifei, Zhou Shi mentioned that Wei Qing would never propose marriage due to his "towering pride." She then revealed a significant development: the famous oil painting artist, Jason Wu, had not only expressed interest in buying her paintings but also offered her an internship at his studio. While a rare opportunity, it would mean being unable to return to China for several more years.

Zhou Shi was still undecided and planned not to tell Wei Qing yet. However, Wei Qing, having quietly walked in, overheard their conversation and took her phone, abruptly ending the call. Though initially pretending disinterest, dismissing it as "girly gossip," he eventually confessed his longing, making a birthday wish to "have another girlfriend named Zhou Shi"—one who, while free to pursue her dreams, would ultimately return as her "original" self and stay by his side, rather than just visiting.

That evening, as Zhou Shi and Wei Qing enjoyed a moment, Lin Feifei and Ning Fei's relationship faced a dramatic turn. Ning Fei's sister, Xue Zi, who seemed to have unearthed information Ning Fei was seeking, sent men to forcibly take him to the airport for the last flight out. Ning Fei managed to send a distress message to Zhou Shi, who, with Wei Qing's immediate help, rushed to save him.

After a scuffle with Xue Zi's bodyguards, Wei Qing and Zhou Shi successfully helped Ning Fei get a moment to say goodbye to Lin Feifei. In a heartfelt confession, Ning Fei declared his love for Lin Feifei and urged her to wait for his return. Lin Feifei, heartbroken but putting on a brave face, retorted that she wouldn't "waste her youth waiting" and threatened to "cheat" if he disappeared.

Zhou Shi observed her friend's sadness, and Wei Qing, understanding the situation, told Zhou Shi to stay with Lin Feifei at the studio that night. Back home, Wei Qing discovered Zhou Shi had left her phone, realizing that perhaps the time for them to make big decisions was not yet right.

Episode 2 Recap

Lin Feifei was heartbroken. Bi Qiujing explained that Xue Zi, who was Ning Fei's closest family member since childhood and held a powerful position in the rival Snow family (comparable to Wei Qing's in Yunma), had taken him for reasons unknown. Lin Feifei, despite acting tough and claiming she wouldn't wait for him, couldn't hide her sadness. She decided to rent the entire art studio where Ning Fei had lived, hoping Zhou Shi would move in with her.

Observing Lin Feifei's pain, Zhou Shi promised to look out for Ning Fei while she was abroad. Lin Feifei, understanding the difficulties of long-distance relationships through her own experience, then urged Zhou Shi to tell Wei Qing about her overseas internship plans, fearing the challenges of their separation. Zhou Shi returned home, only to find Wei Qing's room dark due to a power outage, while the living room remained lit.

Lighting candles, she accidentally activated a projector, which began displaying a montage of her photos. Overcome with emotion, Zhou Shi heard Wei Qing's recorded voice wishing she would return to his side. She then discovered a hidden engagement ring nestled inside one of the candles, touched by his silent longing. Resolving to prioritize her relationship, Zhou Shi called Miss Wu from the prestigious studio to decline the internship offer. However, Miss Wu requested a face-to-face meeting.

At the café, before Zhou Shi could speak, Miss Wu regretfully informed her that the internship offer was being withdrawn due to an anonymous complaint accusing Zhou Shi of obtaining the opportunity through illicit means. Although Zhou Shi had intended to refuse the offer anyway, she found the situation unsettling. Later, her friend Zhang Shuai called, expressing concern and hinting that someone had deliberately sabotaged her.

Zhou Shi's suspicions grew when she saw Miss Wu departing in a car belonging to the Yunma Group, Wei Qing's company. It was revealed that Wei Qing, desperate to keep Zhou Shi by his side and avoid another long-distance relationship, had orchestrated the complaint through his assistant to ensure she couldn't leave the country. Meanwhile, Li Mingcheng and Bi Qiujing, now married, found their relationship surprisingly academic and unemotional.

Bi Qiujing humorously critiqued Li Mingcheng's elaborate "operation manual" for marital intimacy, inspired by a childhood "Animal World" DVD. Seeking to inject more romance, they looked to Wei Qing and Zhou Shi as a "couple sample" to learn from. During a double date, Wei Qing, spurred by Bi Qiujing's playful jabs about his long-distance relationship, engaged in a game with the couples.

Midway through, Zhou Shi received another call from Zhang Shuai, who had uncovered more definitive information about her revoked internship. Zhou Shi's demeanor visibly changed, and sensing her discomfort, Li Mingcheng and Bi Qiujing discreetly excused themselves. Later, as Wei Qing and Zhou Shi walked to a bridge, the place where they first met, Wei Qing reiterated his deep affection, stating that even if time reversed, he would never let her go.

He urged her to trust his arrangements, claiming they were all for her benefit. Zhou Shi, however, directly questioned if he had lied to her and if he was behind the malicious report. Wei Qing evaded a direct answer, instead asking her what she would do if he confirmed his involvement. Zhou Shi, exasperated, pointed out his clandestine meeting with Miss Wu, Miss Wu's subsequent hiring by Yunma, and the overseas offer received by the student who reported her.

She accused Wei Qing of selfishly sabotaging her path to prevent a long-distance relationship. Wei Qing vehemently defended his actions, declaring his commitment to their future and his unwavering resolve to keep her by his side, "whatever cost it may take." In a fit of anger, Zhou Shi pulled out the engagement ring she had found and hurled it to the ground before storming off. Wei Qing, his pride stung, refused to chase her.

As Zhou Shi walked away, she noticed the ring on the ground, picked it up, and looked back, only to see Wei Qing turning and walking in the opposite direction, both consumed by their misunderstanding. Unaware that Zhou Shi had retrieved the ring, Wei Qing later returned to the bridge with his assistant and searched fruitlessly through the night.

While Wei Qing and Zhou Shi navigated their conflict, Li Mingcheng and Bi Qiujing shared a sweet moment, discussing the rarity of human connection in the vast universe and finally feeling like a true couple. One month later, Zhou Shi was in her overseas dorm when Ning Fei, pursued by Snow family bodyguards due to intense internal strife within his family, sought refuge with her.

He revealed that the valuable Xunran paintings he had gifted her were now a point of contention within his family, as their ownership was being disputed. Zhou Shi reassured him, promising to contact a lawyer the next day to formally transfer the ownership back to him. That evening, as Ning Fei offered to walk Zhou Shi back to her school, Zhou Shi, concerned for his safety in the unsafe neighborhood, insisted he take an alarm device from her.

Shortly after, the pursuers caught up, and Zhou Shi urged Ning Fei to flee. On her way home, Zhou Shi was tragically attacked. She awoke in a hospital bed and, after receiving a call from Wei Qing, told him she was breaking up with him and promptly blocked his number. Ning Fei was also hospitalized.

Back in China, during a power outage at her coffee shop, Lin Feifei discovered a beautiful painting of a reindeer that Ning Fei had created for her. Recalling a Nordic legend that a ring hidden in a reindeer's bell signified a proposal, she realized it was Ning Fei's heartfelt proposal, leaving her deeply touched but uncertain when she would ever see him again.

Wei Qing, meanwhile, was preparing to fly abroad to find Zhou Shi when he heard a news report about a Chinese student being attacked in the Eastern Time Zone. He immediately called Zhou Shi, only to receive her devastating breakup message.

Episode 3 Recap

Two years after her breakup with Wei Qing, Zhou Shi, now a curator, returns to China to host an art exhibition at the Yunma Group's hotel. On her way to the hotel, she witnesses a young woman, Wu Xiao, being accosted by an attacker. Zhou Shi intervenes, saving Wu Xiao, and promptly calls the police, though she leaves before their arrival. The incident stirs painful memories of her own attack two years prior. Shortly after, her car breaks down.

Meanwhile, Lin Feifei has embarked on an acting career. She excels in most scenes, but a marriage proposal scene proves challenging, triggering memories of Ning Fei's proposal to her. To overcome this emotional block, she enlists a handsome man named Neil from the brand team to rehearse the scene. Imagining him as Ning Fei, she unleashes her frustration and anger over his disappearance. This cathartic experience allows her to successfully perform the scene in a single take.

Unbeknownst to her, Neil is actually Xue Le, the owner of the Shangjue jewelry brand sponsoring the shoot and the youngest son of the Snow Group owner. Xue Le, who independently founded Shangjue after losing an internal power struggle with Zoey Snow for control of the Snow Group, seeks to collaborate with Wei Qing for the Asian Art Biennial. Wei Qing, known in the industry as the "Gentlemen Killer" for his ruthless business tactics, demands an exorbitant price.

He dismisses Xue Le's appeals for future collaborations and his association with the Snow Group, stating his preference for immediate profits and his distrust of promises, a sentiment developed two years prior. Wei Qing, unwavering, tells Xue Le to reconsider the offer before having his assistant, Wei An, escort him out. Frustrated by the failed negotiation, Xue Le's assistant warns that Zoey Snow will soon learn of his failure.

Xue Le, determined not to give up, begins searching for Wei Qing's weakness. As Wei An briefs Wei Qing on Xue Le's background, including his defeat by Zoey Snow, Wei Qing suddenly collapses. Wei Qing wakes to find his doctor, Dr. Chen Liyun, by his side. He struggles with delusions, seeing Zhou Shi as a hallucination, a recurring event for the past two years, and wishes time would slow down in these moments.

Dr. Chen, however, brings him back to reality, expressing grave concern over his worsening condition, which includes a severe delusional disorder and significant vision impairment. She attributes his declining health to his deep-seated obsession with Zhou Shi, which prevents him from moving forward. Dr. Chen suggests that revisiting the Yunma Group's hotel, the place where he and Zhou Shi first met, might help him find closure and a new beginning.

Following his doctor's advice, Wei Qing impulsively decides to take a bus to the hotel. Along the journey, he briefly spots Zhou Shi but, due to his delusions, dismisses her as a mere passerby. He accidentally overshoots his stop and ends up at the terminal, where Wei An meets him. Upon entering the hotel, Wei Qing sees a promotional poster featuring Zhou Shi. Before he can fully process it, he is overcome by a dizzy spell, and his vision blurs.

He asks Wei An if there's a power outage, but the hotel is brightly lit. The chilling realization dawns on him: he is losing his eyesight. After Wei An meets him, Wei Qing asks Wei An if he believes in wishes. Wei An dismisses wishes as psychological evasion but adds that sincerity brings fate together.

After Wei An leaves, Wei Qing, reflecting on their conversation, recalls a past meteor shower when he wished for Zhou Shi's name to disappear from his life, and sheds tears. Meanwhile, at their cafe, Lin Feifei and Bi Qiujing, anticipating Zhou Shi's return for her birthday, have prepared a cake. Zhou Shi surprises them by arriving unannounced, prompting an initially awkward reunion as they process her sudden reappearance after two years. Li Mingcheng also joins them.

Zhou Shi confirms her identity by recalling intimate details about her friends' lives. When Li Mingcheng probes about her two-year disappearance, Zhou Shi explains it was a coping mechanism, akin to a couple "ghosting" after a breakup when the reasons are too complex to explain. She reveals she's been following their lives, from Lin Feifei's burgeoning acting career and Bi Qiujing's academic pursuits to Li Mingcheng's investment success and even their parents' matchmaking efforts.

Zhou Shi is then called away by her boss for work. Before she leaves, Lin Feifei stops her, asking if she encountered Ning Fei while abroad. Zhou Shi falsely claims she has not seen him since.

Episode 4 Recap

Lin Feifei asked Zhou Shi if she had seen Ning Fei overseas. Zhou Shi's expression hardened, and she lied, claiming, "I haven't seen him since two years ago." Ignoring a disappointed Lin Feifei, Zhou Shi abruptly said, "I'll get going then," and left. As Zhou Shi walked, an ambulance passed, bringing her thoughts back two years. After being attacked by thugs, Ning Fei had rushed to save her, protecting her with his life.

While Zhou Shi only sustained minor injuries and woke up first, Ning Fei was severely wounded. A nurse confirmed he was seriously injured. Filled with guilt, Zhou Shi tried to leave her bed to check on Ning Fei, but a nurse insisted she stay. Zhou Shi tearfully asked, "Where's Fei? Is he okay? Please tell me." Xue Zi then entered, rebuking Zhou Shi, "Who are you to be concerned about him?"

She detailed Ning Fei's critical condition, stating, "He suffers from rib fractures and multiple external injuries. The most serious is the blunt trauma on his head, which has led to acute bleeding inside his brain. Even if his life was saved, there's likely to be an aftereffect. All this happened because he was trying to save you." Xue Zi accused Zhou Shi of being ungrateful, adding, "Does it feel good to be saved by risking someone else's life?

Do you feel like running away? I've seen many ingrates. I don't expect you to be an exception. There's one more thing that you need to know. I, Xue Zi, never make a bad investment. I'll make others pay me back tenfold for what they owe me. About Fei, a mere 'thank you' isn't going to cut it." Zhou Shi asked, "What do you want me to do?"

Xue Zi replied, "Before he recovers, I want you to stay by his side." Zhou Shi agreed, "Okay." But Xue Zi clarified, "Don't agree too soon. My condition is for you to only stay by his side. I want you to cut off all contact within this period, especially Wei Qing." When Zhou Shi questioned, "Why?" , Xue Zi directly stated, "Because I like him. Can't I separate you two?" Zhou Shi, however, saw through Xue Zi's facade. "

Stop joking, Miss Xue. You can even use your own little brother as a bargaining chip, how can you easily take a fancy on someone else? You're after Xunran's paintings, right?" She elaborated, "The ownership of the paintings is currently in my hands. But even if I want to transfer ownership, it still needs approval from the painter. With Fei's current condition, it's impossible to get ownership. You had no choice but to settle for less.

You want to lower the risk by using me. Am I right?" Xue Zi acknowledged her assessment, asking, "So? Are you trying to make a deal with me after understanding all these?" Zhou Shi firmly declined any deal, declaring, "No. I'll do it. Just like you said, I owe Fei. Before I repay him, I have no right to think for myself." Satisfied, Xue Zi concluded, "Good. Since you have such awareness, prove it to me."

For the past two years, Zhou Shi had worked for Xue Zi. Earlier, Xue Zi was on the phone, frustrated that Ning Fei was missing from the villa, instructing her staff to search everywhere, including bars and nightclubs, to find him within 12 hours. Later, when Zhou Shi arrived at Xue Zi's office, Xue Zi noted she was late with a hint of sarcasm, implying her encounter at the exhibition hotel reminded her of her past.

Zhou Shi, however, stated she was tired of their games and wanted to get straight to business. Xue Zi, disappointed that Zhou Shi hadn't met anyone she wanted to see, found it boring. Xue Zi then presented Zhou Shi with the Asian Art Biennial cooperation project, explaining that Xue Le, her brother, had failed to manage it, even getting tricked regarding the exhibition's arrangement.

She needed Zhou Shi to take over the negotiation, saying, "If I don't send my own people, how can I have control over Xue Le?" Seeing Wei Qing listed as the legal representative on the project document, Zhou Shi tried to refuse, claiming she had caught a cold in the countryside and needed a leave of absence due to a fever.

Xue Zi confirmed Zhou Shi indeed had a fever but dismissed her request, telling her to go to the hospital and then to Yunma afterward. Zhou Shi protested, reminding Xue Zi, "you made me leave him back then. There's nothing between the two of us now. Yet you're telling me to go back?" Xue Zi suggested, "What if he still misses you and wants to get back together?"

Zhou Shi insisted, "If we could get back together, I wouldn't have left back then. . . it's impossible for him and me now." Xue Zi, undeterred, countered, "Don't be so sure about that. Just use him, then. That'll work, right? Don't tell me you want me to handle him personally?"

She added that she wouldn't make things difficult for Wei Qing if he didn't ruin her plans, even allowing Zhou Shi to rekindle their relationship "as long as you can overcome what's troubling you." As Zhou Shi left, Xue Zi reminded her to look after Ning Fei, as he was "no longer the same Ning Fei" and might cause trouble if left unsupervised. Zhou Shi simply replied, "I understand."

Zhou Shi had caught a cold in the countryside and developed a fever, prompting her to visit the hospital. While there, she called Xue Zi to report that Ning Fei had been found, having spent the night at a friend's party. Xue Zi noted her hoarse voice. Zhou Shi then tried to leverage her acute tonsillitis and 38. 9-degree fever, asking the doctor if it was serious enough to affect her work.

The doctor confirmed it could lead to pneumonia if not controlled. Zhou Shi, hoping to evade the Yunma assignment, told Xue Zi on the phone, "Boss, you heard that, right? I might not be able to go to Yun. . ." However, Xue Zi didn't give her an out, and Zhou Shi even quietly asked the doctor if there was a way to prolong her illness, only to be told to take her medicine and get her shot.

It was a coincidence that Wei Qing was in the same hospital. He had been diagnosed with acute optic neuritis, referred to as "sudden blindness" in traditional Chinese medicine, caused by extreme fatigue and stress, which could lead to severe vision loss or even blindness. The doctor assured Wei An that Wei Qing would recover with proper treatment but required hospital observation.

Wei Qing accepted the diagnosis, telling Wei An to handle company matters, cancel physical meetings, and switch to conference calls. He also requested a simple keypad phone and strictly instructed Wei An not to leak information about his condition. Attempting to adapt to his blindness, Wei Qing refused Wei An's help, insisting on walking to the restroom alone with his cane. As Wei Qing was navigating the hospital hallway, Zhou Shi emerged from her consultation room.

She saw him and her heart pounded, a mix of anxiety and anticipation. She wondered if he had forgotten her and if she was now just a stranger to him. Wei Qing, unable to see her, walked past without acknowledging her presence. Overwhelmed by this perceived indifference and her fever, Zhou Shi fainted. A passerby tried to help, but Zhou Shi, still conscious, weakly said, "I'm fine." Soon after, she completely lost consciousness.

Upon waking, Zhou Shi overheard nurses discussing Wei Qing. " She's recovered from fatigue and fever," one nurse remarked. Another mentioned, "It's Wei Qing of Yunma. . . Honestly, he's pitiful. But I don't sympathize with him. . . Other than not cooperating with his treatment, he keeps pulling that long face. I would have thrown a fit if it weren't for his inability to see." Zhou Shi's heart sank upon hearing, "He can't see?"

She quickly asked where the patient usually went. Meanwhile, Wei Qing sat alone in the hospital's small park, lost in thought. He reflected on his blindness, despairing that he couldn't even conjure Zhou Shi's image anymore, believing it was time to end his obsession. He shed tears, startling a little girl nearby who then complained that her balloon was stuck in a tree. Wei Qing, trying to help despite his blindness, fumbled for the balloon.

Zhou Shi found him and retrieved it for the girl. Wei Qing thanked her, and then asked, "can you get a caretaker for me? I just started using this. I'm still not used to it." He didn't recognize her changed voice, a result of her throat inflammation. Realizing he didn't know her, Zhou Shi asked, "What's wrong with your eyes?" Wei Qing explained his acute optic neuritis, reassuring her it wasn't serious and he would recover.

Zhou Shi, wanting to maintain her disguise, then adopted a feigned aggressive tone, claiming, "There's nothing great about it. Maybe there are other illnesses that they haven't found yet." Wei Qing was confused by her hostile reaction, asking if she knew him. Zhou Shi maintained her act, saying, "You're Wei Qing, the one who's trending on the news all year long. They publish everything big and small about you. It's hard not to recognize you."

When Wei Qing mentioned being single for two years, Zhou Shi, despite herself, was surprised and pleased. " Single? You don't have a girlfriend?" Wei Qing, suspecting her true intentions, asked, "You're so interested in my personal life. Are you a journalist?" Zhou Shi denied it, saying, "No, I. . . I'm just a passerby." Wei Qing pressed further, "A passerby won't know what happened two years ago. So, which news agency you're from? Why are you approaching me?"

Before Zhou Shi could answer, Wei An arrived, calling out to Wei Qing, who admitted he was out for fresh air despite his blindness. Wei Qing then asked Wei An if he had seen a lady, mentioning she had dropped something. Wei An found Zhou Shi's phone on the ground, displaying her picture on the screen. Separately, Lin Feifei was on a film set, rehearsing a scene.

Xue Le, disguised as "Neil," a brand representative from Shangjue, was observing, playfully coaching Lin Feifei and critiquing the absurd script with sarcastic suggestions for outrageous "begging to be abused" scenarios, before dramatically announcing he was pulling his investment. As filming resumed, Ning Fei suddenly sped through the set on a skateboard, zipping past Lin Feifei. " What the heck? Are you playing a corpse?" he quipped, seemingly not recognizing her. Lin Feifei, however, immediately recognized him.

Despite being in high heels and in the middle of a scene, she chased after him, calling his name repeatedly. Ning Fei, wearing headphones, didn't hear her and disappeared. Lin Feifei not only failed to catch him but also twisted her ankle. When the crew called, she angrily declared, "I quit! Let them change the actress!" and then sat dejectedly by the roadside. Ning Fei returned to the hotel where Zhou Shi was waiting for him.

She scolded him playfully, pinching him, "That hurts. I thought you didn't know. Will you wander off again?" Ning Fei promised not to. Zhou Shi asked if he was going to install a new voice pack for his phone. He teased her, "If you don't like it, I'll change another one for you. I'll install a voice changer for you next time." Zhou Shi replied, "Did you say 'next time?' I won't do it again."

Ning Fei then asked if he knew someone, and Zhou Shi confirmed, "You can say he's your senior." Ning Fei joked, "I don't remember, and I won't acknowledge him. But listen. Even if you wanted to rekindle your relationship, can't you do it somewhere else?" Zhou Shi retorted, "What nonsense are you talking about? I didn't take the initiative to meet him. If it wasn't because his health is. . ."

Ning Fei interrupted her by playfully pinching her again, "What's wrong with his health? Test my patience again. That hurts." He also refused to take his bitter medicine for insomnia, prompting Zhou Shi to playfully ask if he wanted her to feed him with her lips. Later that evening, Xue Le, who had witnessed Lin Feifei's earlier distress, approached her. He offered antiseptic for her twisted ankle, despite her protests.

Lin Feifei, still believing him to be just a brand representative, apologized for delaying his work and offered to reimburse his overtime fees. Xue Le, however, insisted she apologize for her outburst first. When pressed for a reason, Lin Feifei vaguely claimed to have ADHD and bipolar disorder, saying she "had a nervous attack this afternoon." Xue Le dismissed her excuse, saying, "That's the worst excuse. Why don't you just say the guy who passed by is your ex-boyfriend?"

He was surprised when his guess proved correct, then quipped, "So that's the guy who used a ring to keep you trapped for two years? He now dare show himself." Lin Feifei vehemently denied it. " No, that's not him. He won't look at me like that. He won't just abandon me. You're right. That can't be him." Unbeknownst to Lin Feifei, Ning Fei had lost his memory in the accident two years ago, forgetting not only his acquaintances but also experiencing a significant personality change.

Episode 5 Recap

Two years ago, Ning Fei awakened from a coma. Doctors performed a comprehensive mental evaluation, finding his condition highly unstable. He was diagnosed with Post-traumatic stress disorder, had lost his memory, and had become aggressive and unruly, failing to recognize even Xue Zi and Zhou Shi. Xue Zi saw this as an opportunity for Ning Fei to break free from his past.

She forbade Zhou Shi from telling him anything about his history, tasking her with staying by his side to care for him. Xue Zi then officially renamed him Xue Ning. During this period, Zhou Shi recalled the incident that led to Ning Fei’s injuries, believing he saved her in an alley, though she was almost unconscious at the time. When she woke up in the hospital, nurses informed her of Ning Fei’s serious wounds.

She felt immense guilt, believing his sacrifice was her fault. Ning Fei, however, dismissed her guilt, stating that if he was injured saving a woman, it only meant he was too weak. Back in the present, Zhou Shi gently coaxed Ning Fei to sleep, intending to leave. However, Ning Fei suddenly woke, clinging to her and emphatically warning her not to "go back to him," threatening to "beat him up" if she dared.

Zhou Shi, unperturbed, claimed to be his sister. She then realized her phone was missing and tried calling it. Wei Qing answered, demanding to know why she kept approaching him. Zhou Shi, her voice hoarse, first claimed to be a mere passerby, then, seeing he wouldn't believe her, declared herself his fan. Wei Qing, full of self-assurance, found this plausible. From the background, Zhou Shi overheard nurses searching for Wei Qing and laughing about him being afraid of needles.

She teased him, threatening to call the nurses. To silence her, Wei Qing agreed to return her phone, instructing her to pick it up at the hospital the next morning. He added that she would have to find him first. The next day, Zhou Shi went to the hospital and easily retrieved her phone from the nurse's station.

The nurse, believing Zhou Shi was Wei Qing’s friend, implored her to persuade him to cooperate with his treatment, warning that his optic neuritis could worsen if he remained uncooperative. Despite her reluctance to interact with Wei Qing, Zhou Shi, concerned, approached him, still pretending to be a fan. Wei Qing was defiant, using his walking aid to stride away quickly. As he walked, a cat startled him, causing him to fall.

Zhou Shi tried to help him up but also lost her balance, and they both landed on the grass. Wei Qing, seemingly terrified of the cat, clutched Zhou Shi's leg, asking for her help. Zhou Shi offered to chase the cat away on one condition: he must agree to get his injection. With his fear exposed, Wei Qing reluctantly accepted. Under Zhou Shi’s comforting presence, Wei Qing finally received his shot. Before leaving, Zhou Shi promised to visit him again.

After she left, Wei Qing mentioned to Wei An that his "new friend" promised to come back and wait for him at the bench. Meanwhile, Lin Feifei was being carried back by Xue Le. She expressed fear of being replaced in the drama, but Xue Le confidently bet she would not. Indeed, with Xue Le secretly backing her as a sponsor, the director became overly solicitous, dismissing her leg injury as minor and granting her leave.

Lin Feifei immediately went to Bi Qiujing, excitedly telling her she had seen Ning Fei. Bi Qiujing, who was at home demonstrating her new rock-paper-scissors robot to Li Mingcheng (who playfully suggested they start a "chromosome attack" or baby-making plan), used her laptop to search for photos of Ning Fei online. She was astonished to find that Ning Fei’s personality had drastically changed from being a social recluse to a "social butterfly," frequently seen at various nightclubs.

Bi Qiujing used AI to analyze Ning Fei's activity patterns, identifying several places he often frequented, suggesting Lin Feifei could find him there. However, Lin Feifei, despite her lingering feelings, haughtily claimed she was too busy with many suitors to bother chasing after a "fool who hid for two years." On another day, Zhou Shi returned to the hospital as promised to accompany Wei Qing for his injection. Wei Qing playfully demanded that she share a regretful experience in exchange.

Zhou Shi, without directly naming him, alluded to her past separation from Wei Qing, expressing regret over their argument and breakup. She mused that remaining a "passerby" allowed for more ease and freedom, without the burden of past memories. Their conversation was cut short when a nurse announced Wei An’s imminent arrival, prompting Zhou Shi to quickly leave.

Shortly after, Wei An arrived, and Wei Qing reassured him that the departing woman was merely his "crazy fan" and not a paparazzo, then requested they discuss business. Wei An reported on Shangjue Jewelry's plan to secure an Art Biennial qualification by collaborating with an exhibiting painter. He presented a list of individual painters, highlighting Jason Wu, Master Wu Zheng, as the only local candidate. Wei Qing, familiar with Wu Zheng, confidently concluded that Shangjue's plan was doomed.

Meanwhile, Zhou Shi had a phone call with Xue Zi, who urged her to handle the Art Biennial matters. Zhou Shi, still pretending to be unwell, reassured her that she had it handled, intending to bypass Wei Qing to secure the qualification. Xue Zi advised Zhou Shi to consider her future, suggesting that some things should be left in the past.

Zhou Shi, in an internal reflection, acknowledged her understanding, believing that further interaction with Wei Qing would only bring trouble, and that maintaining the status of a "passerby" offered an easier path for her to care for him without the complexities of their shared history.

Episode 6 Recap

Lin Feifei, having successfully navigated the director's demands, honored her agreement with Xue Le and invited him to dinner. Xue Le chose a high-end restaurant, causing Lin Feifei to worry about the expense. Seeing her apprehension, Xue Le suggested she try the dessert, claiming the chef was his friend and had invited him for a taste test.

He assured her she could order more if she liked it, putting her at ease, and she promptly asked for another serving of caviar ice cream. Meanwhile, Zhou Shi sought to secure an Art Biennial opportunity by collaborating with other artists, hoping to bypass Wei Qing. However, most artists already had full schedules and were unwilling to collaborate with strangers.

Her assistant mentioned that master Wu Zheng (Jason Wu) was known for his strong relationships, suggesting that a mutual acquaintance could help. This led back to Wei Qing, a connection Zhou Shi was reluctant to make. Xue Le, overhearing their conversation from outside, approached Zhou Shi, asking if she had a conflict with Wei Qing.

He suggested that if she could become Wei Qing's "weakness," Xue Zi would be overjoyed, but he questioned if Zhou Shi was willing to take such a step. Separately, Bi Qiujing inadvertently discovered through online photos that someone was tracking and secretly photographing Li Mingcheng. The pictures were very close-up, some even taken inside his company. Curious, Bi Qiujing set up a camera within a hundred meters of Li Mingcheng's company, inadvertently appearing like a stalker herself.

At the same time, Li Mingcheng, reminded by his assistant that his wedding anniversary with Bi Qiujing was approaching, was struggling to find a suitable gift for her. Determined to secure the Art Biennial opportunity, Zhou Shi went directly to Wu Zheng's (Jason Wu's) studio. Wu Zheng remembered her, noting that she had almost become his student. He admired her talent but observed that she hadn't painted in a long time and was initially uninterested in a collaboration.

He excused himself, stating he was on a video call with his daughter, effectively dismissing Zhou Shi. Unexpectedly, his daughter, Wu Xiao, recognized Zhou Shi as the person who had saved her life just days prior. Thrilled to find her rescuer, Wu Xiao urged her father to keep Zhou Shi there. With this new connection, Zhou Shi successfully secured an intention agreement for collaboration with Wu Zheng.

Wei Qing soon learned about Wu Zheng's intention agreement with Shangjue and discovered that Xue Zi had a special assistant named Cissy (Xi Xi), though he did not yet know Cissy was Zhou Shi. He believed the intention agreement was merely a formality and sought ways to sabotage the collaboration before a formal contract could be signed. At the same time, Lin Feifei experienced an allergic reaction on her neck while modeling Shangjue jewelry for a print advertisement.

Her agent quickly pulled her aside, fearing negative publicity for Shangjue. Zhou Shi, upon hearing this, immediately ordered staff to check everyone's phones to prevent any photos from leaking. Despite these efforts, word reached Wu Zheng's studio. Concerned about his reputation, Wu Zheng considered withdrawing from the collaboration. In a last-ditch effort, Shangjue contacted Wei Qing to discuss the Art Biennial. Wei Qing, already at the hospital, specifically requested Xue Zi's special assistant, Cissy, for negotiations.

When Zhou Shi, who was with Wei Qing, took the call on her phone, both were stunned to realize each other's identities. As Lin Feifei prepared to leave the photoshoot, she encountered Ning Fei in the elevator. While messaging Bi Qiujing about her allergy, Lin Feifei deduced it might have been the caviar ice cream she ate with Xue Le. Suddenly, the elevator lost power, trapping them inside.

Ning Fei, heavily masked, found Lin Feifei's fear amusing and claimed no interest in her. Once rescued, Lin Feifei saw Ning Fei's face clearly and recognized him. Ning Fei, noticing her reaction, pulled her aside and insisted he had forgotten whatever relationship they once had. Enraged, Lin Feifei kicked him, berating him for his ingratitude and regretting ever taking him in.

Her angry outburst triggered fragmented memories and a painful headache for Ning Fei, reminding him that Zhou Shi had been by his side during his two years of amnesia, and somewhere along the way, he had developed feelings for her. Wei Qing's vision had recovered by half, allowing him to see blurred shapes, though not clear faces. He and Zhou Shi met at a restaurant to discuss their collaboration.

Convinced that Zhou Shi was infatuated with him, Wei Qing offered Shangjue a spot at the Art Biennial on the condition that Yunma also be a co-collaborator in Wu Zheng's (Jason Wu's) joint design. He argued that Shangjue, being a smaller company, would benefit from Yunma's involvement for better security, especially after the recent allergy incident. Zhou Shi, weighing her options, agreed. As they left the restaurant, they accidentally fell into a fountain.

They quickly went to a hotel to change, and Wei Qing called Wei An to bring them clothes. In the hotel room, Wei Qing tripped on his bathrobe and fell again. As he complained about falling twice in one day, he suddenly realized his vision had fully returned. Unaware of his complete recovery, Zhou Shi, from behind the bathroom curtain, asked him to pass her a bathrobe and then, wrapped only in a towel, stepped out.

Episode 7 Recap

Wei Qing saw Zhou Shi standing before him, her appearance instantly changing his expression. Zhou Shi, unaware that Wei Qing’s vision had returned, took the bathrobe and put it on, only later finding his earlier look peculiar. She didn't dwell on it, instead checking her phone to find numerous messages from Ning Fei. She quickly messaged Ning Fei, asking for his location.

As Ning Fei read her reply, an unknown assailant approached from behind and forcefully pushed him down a staircase, knocking him unconscious before he could respond to Zhou Shi. After getting dressed, Zhou Shi prepared to leave to find Ning Fei. However, Wei Qing confronted her, demanding to know why she had returned after two years of absence. Zhou Shi deliberately provoked him, claiming she was merely acting out of excessive sympathy, treating it as charity work for the blind.

Wei Qing, disbelieving her, insisted on a clear explanation. Feeling cornered and with time pressing, Zhou Shi dropped her bag, pulled Wei Qing by his clothes, and kissed him directly. Wei Qing was momentarily swept away, but still retained some rationality, asking if she intended to muddle through without explaining the past two years. Zhou Shi, unwilling to explain and uncertain about their future, declared herself to be his in that moment, suggesting "next time" if he was unwilling.

Wei Qing, however, would not let her go. As they embraced tightly and things were about to escalate, Ning Fei suddenly sent an urgent message, asking Zhou Shi to save him. Zhou Shi regained her composure and, ignoring Wei Qing's objections, prepared to rescue Ning Fei. In an emergency, Zhou Shi, unable to explain, quickly tied Wei Qing up with a towel and left the room.

Meanwhile, Lin Feifei's agent, Hong, instructed her to blame the allergic reaction on Shangjue's jewelry. However, Lin Feifei, worried that Xue Le might be fired because of it, took full responsibility herself. Xue Le, witnessing her selflessness, shook his head. To reassure her, Xue Le revealed his true identity. Lin Feifei exclaimed that she had been foolishly blind.

On her way home, she called Bi Qiujing to complain about the incident and mentioned running into Ning Fei again, engaging in a heated argument with him. Bi Qiujing calmly informed Lin Feifei during the call that Ning Fei was currently in the hospital with a head injury. It turned out that Bi Qiujing had discovered Ning Fei after he was pushed down the stairs by the mysterious person and had rescued him.

Despite her earlier complaints, Lin Feifei rushed to the hospital without delay. Bi Qiujing then contacted Zhou Shi using Ning Fei's phone, surprising Zhou Shi by her urgent call. When Zhou Shi arrived at the hospital, Bi Qiujing was visibly shocked and asked for an explanation.

Bi Qiujing questioned Zhou Shi about her relationship with Ning Fei, revealing that Ning Fei's phone password was Zhou Shi's birthday, and his phone contained many photos of them together from the past two years. Zhou Shi worried that Bi Qiujing might misunderstand and think she had stolen her best friend's boyfriend. However, Bi Qiujing's theories were far more outlandish, involving clones, astral projection, and brainwashing.

Bi Qiujing then affirmed that she trusted Zhou Shi and Ning Fei and would believe whatever explanation Zhou Shi provided, but she still wanted to know what truly happened during the last two years. At that moment, Ning Fei woke up in his hospital room and was surprised to see Lin Feifei by his side. Lin Feifei, seeing he was awake, prepared to leave, but Ning Fei insisted she accompany him to the restroom.

As they emerged, they overheard Zhou Shi explaining the events of the past two years to Bi Qiujing. Ning Fei realized that Zhou Shi had only cared for him as her best friend's boyfriend. Heartbroken, he pushed everyone away and ran out of the hospital. Lin Feifei chased after him, trying to reason with him, but a rebellious Ning Fei quickly shook her off. Lin Feifei searched all night for Ning Fei without success.

Having learned about the events of two years ago, she couldn't help but criticize Zhou Shi and Xue Zi. As she spoke, Zhou Shi prepared breakfast, calling Lin Feifei and Bi Qiujing to eat. However, given the recent events, Lin Feifei was still upset with Zhou Shi, creating an awkward atmosphere at the table. Bi Qiujing broke the silence by suggesting they each share a recent unlucky experience.

Lin Feifei recounted her allergic reaction to caviar and being trapped in the elevator. Zhou Shi then confessed that she and Wei Qing nearly rekindled their intimate relationship. Bi Qiujing then dropped a bombshell, revealing her suspicion that Li Mingcheng might be having an affair, leaving Lin Feifei and Zhou Shi utterly stunned.

Episode 8 Recap

Seeing that her two friends, Zhou Shi and Lin Feifei, didn't believe Li Mingcheng was cheating, Bi Qiujing presented them with a series of candid photos she had found from a personal photo album she stumbled upon. She pointed out the highly skilled, non-frontal shots, describing them as rare high-definition raw photos. Lin Feifei and Zhou Shi were shocked, realizing these were secretly taken pictures.

Zhou Shi suggested calling the police, but Bi Qiujing stated there was no need; she knew the stalker's "nature" and was certain this person was very close to Li Mingcheng, harboring unusual feelings for him. Lin Feifei reminded Bi Qiujing that the target of these photos was her own husband and asked if she was worried about a potentially possessive stalker. Bi Qiujing, ever the academic, expressed curiosity about what made her husband so captivating.

Lin Feifei, exasperated by Bi Qiujing's detachment, declared that they couldn't apply normal thinking to her. As Lin Feifei went to wash dishes after losing a bet, Bi Qiujing pressed Zhou Shi about a secret she might share with Xue Zi. She found it hard to believe that Zhou Shi's two-year disappearance and breakup with Wei Qing were solely due to Ning Fei's issues, suspecting Xue Zi might be threatening her. Before Zhou Shi could respond, the doorbell rang.

Bi Qiujing expressed disappointment at the interruption. The visitor was Li Mingcheng, who had brought cuttlefish-filled soup dumplings, concerned that Bi Qiujing might skip breakfast. Zhou Shi, after receiving a phone call from Xue Zi, quickly grabbed her bag and excused herself. As she left, Li Mingcheng told her to "watch out." Bi Qiujing asked for clarification, but he merely said it was better if she didn't know. Zhou Shi then met Xue Zi, who was waiting in her car.

Xue Zi asked if Zhou Shi and Wei Qing had rekindled their romance, but Zhou Shi denied it, reiterating her commitment to their agreement. To Zhou Shi's surprise, Xue Zi announced that their agreement was now canceled, freeing her from having to waste time on Xue Ning and allowing her to return to Wei Qing. Confused, Zhou Shi recalled Xue Zi's past warning about Wei Qing potentially losing everything if she stayed close to him, and asked for clarification.

Xue Zi simply replied that Zhou Shi could interpret it however she wished. Later, when Zhou Shi arrived at Wu Zheng's studio for a collaboration, Wei Qing was already there. He provocatively introduced Zhou Shi as his girlfriend to Wu Zheng, who immediately became more agreeable.

Wu Zheng expressed regret for having doubted the quality of Shangjue Jewelry, stating he wouldn't have if he'd known about Wei Qing and Zhou Shi's relationship, especially since Yunma Group was a regular client of his firm. As Zhou Shi tried to correct him, Wei Qing pulled her away, ignoring her protests.

Wei Qing confronted her about her sudden disappearance two years prior and her current reappearance, accusing her of locking him in the washroom and running off after flirting with him at their previous encounter. He then asked if she wanted to reconcile.

Zhou Shi, recalling Xue Zi's words and wanting to distance herself from Wei Qing, apologized for her "inappropriate" behavior, stating that her actions at the hotel were merely a moment of madness, a "flirtatious act" to get rid of him. She offered to resolve any lingering resentment by "paying him back" whatever she "owed" him in a single session. Unexpectedly, Wei Qing agreed, telling her to meet him at the same hotel tomorrow, warning her not to back out midway.

He added that if she didn't come to him, he would go to her. Meanwhile, Ning Fei, still upset with Zhou Shi, wandered alone at a children's amusement park. He tried to contact friends, but they were all busy. Lin Feifei soon found him and admonished him for corrupting a child by encouraging him to lie about a lollipop trade.

Ning Fei, showing a rebellious streak, argued that the world would eventually teach the child such lessons without his help and questioned if having a conscience truly mattered. Lin Feifei, shocked by his transformation into a "little demon," vowed not to let him fall further. Ning Fei retorted by suggesting she only clung to him because she had no other suitors, to which Lin Feifei indignantly claimed she had many admirers.

Just then, Xue Le appeared, prompting Lin Feifei to quickly shove Ning Fei into a ball pit to hide him. Xue Le apologized to Lin Feifei for the previous caviar incident and offered a gift. After Xue Le departed, Lin Feifei opened the box to find the jewelry had been replaced with gag items, realizing Ning Fei had swapped them. Ning Fei also received a notification on his phone, an "Obedient Pill" reminder from "Girlfriend," which he dismissed.

Back at Yunma Group, Bi Qiujing, in order to investigate the stalker, had specifically joined the investment department as an intern, surprising Li Mingcheng. She subtly observed his team, particularly his secretary, Rachel, who appeared less like an "elite" and more clumsy. During an evening team-building event, colleagues deliberately challenged Rachel with a complex snack order calculation.

Bi Qiujing stepped in, quickly solving the multi-variable equation and dictating the precise order to the snack bar staff, even paying with Li Mingcheng's prepaid card, to his astonishment. She then directly asked Rachel if her determination to stay in the department, despite being bullied, stemmed from her affection for Li Mingcheng. Rachel admitted that she and other women in the department harbored feelings for him, including a competent colleague named Ada.

Li Mingcheng, who had been observing from a distance and realizing Bi Qiujing was there because of him, pulled her aside into an empty private room. He playfully suggested her presence was an attempt to expand her "comfort zone" to include him both at home and work. As they conversed intimately, someone secretly took photos of them from outside the room. Elsewhere, Wei Qing contacted Ning Fei about purchasing his portraits of Zhou Shi.

Ning Fei, who was currently homeless, had previously refused to sell, joking that he would only do so if Wei Qing provided him with a villa. To his disbelief, Wei Qing agreed to lend him one, insisting on an on-site exchange. Ning Fei, wary of potential schemes, decided to go anyway. Upon arriving at the luxurious villa, Ning Fei was surprised to discover that Wei Qing seemed to know him from his past as "Ning Fei."

Despite Wei Qing's quick acceptance of his amnesia, Ning Fei maintained his new identity as "Xue Ning," even correcting Wei Qing's pronunciation of a Chinese idiom. During their tense exchange, Xue Ning accidentally tripped on a robot vacuum and hit his head, falling unconscious. Wei Qing promptly called Wei An, instructing her to send Dr. Chen over, claiming he had a "patient sample" she might be interested in.

Dr. Chen then began hypnotizing Xue Ning, and Wei Qing instructed her to extract everything Xue Ning remembered about Zhou Shi. Later, Bi Qiujing asked Zhou Shi if she was going on a date, noting her elegant attire. Zhou Shi vaguely confirmed it. Then, Zhou Shi arrived at the hotel, having agreed to meet Wei Qing. After showering, she waited in the room. Wei Qing soon entered and immediately embraced her, holding her tightly. He confessed that he regretted his earlier ultimatum and did not want their relationship to end.

Episode 9 Recap

Wei Qing held Zhou Shi close, telling her he regretted their breakup and didn't want their relationship to end. Zhou Shi was bewildered by his sudden change of heart. Twelve hours earlier, Wei Qing had tasked Dr. Chen with hypnotizing Ning Fei to uncover information about Zhou Shi. Under hypnosis, Ning Fei, when asked who he was, identified himself as Xue Ning, admitting he didn't remember being Ning Fei. He revealed that he had known Zhou Shi for two years.

He recalled that two years ago, when he rushed to save Zhou Shi from an attacker, he was overpowered, and it was actually Zhou Shi who picked up a wine bottle to strike the assailant, subduing him and saving both their lives. She sustained a severe hand injury from the shattered glass, and despite extensive rehabilitation, she could no longer hold a paintbrush. Yet, she chose a career in the art world, working tirelessly to reach her current position.

He realized that a significant part of her efforts was to repay him for a rescue she mistakenly attributed to him, when in fact, she had saved him. Xue Ning lamented his weakness that night, which led to Zhou Shi's suffering. Upon waking, Wei Qing informed Ning Fei that he was his elder brother, as Ning Fei had been adopted by Wei Qing's father, making them unrelated by blood.

Wei Qing asserted his claim over Zhou Shi, declaring her his girlfriend, and told Ning Fei to accept reality and stop pursuing her. Wei Qing then purchased all the photos Ning Fei had taken of Zhou Shi, feeling deep regret for not being by her side during her injury and letting her suffer.

Wei An told Wei Qing he should be happy because Zhou Shi's departure was due to hardships, not a change of heart, and reassured him that it wasn't too late to mend things. Back at the hotel, Zhou Shi remained confused by Wei Qing's unexplained shift in behavior. She attempted to restore their relationship to a professional one. Wei Qing, however, continued to flirt, leading Zhou Shi to accuse him of trying to take advantage.

She explained her attire was due to a coffee spill and her lipstick was simply a new shade she was testing. She reminded him that he had been the one to propose a superficial "pretend" relationship, and now he was going back on his word. To settle their disagreement, they played a game of cards. As Wei Qing was on the verge of winning, Zhou Shi declared she was pregnant, a ploy she used to secure her victory.

She insisted that, as per her win, they must maintain a strictly professional relationship. Meanwhile, Bi Qiujing, now working in Yunma Group's investment department to investigate the stalker, inquired with Rachel about who was responsible for the flowers in Li Mingcheng's office. Rachel mentioned that Ada frequently replaced the flowers in Li Mingcheng's office, speculating that Ada hoped to win over Li Mingcheng, whom she perceived as neglected by his wife due to his consistent dry-cleaning tags and limited wardrobe.

Bi Qiujing realized with a pang of guilt that she was indeed the "uncaring" wife, but noted Li Mingcheng's unwavering happiness. Just then, she received a set of candid photos from the KTV incident on her phone, which had been taken by the mysterious stalker. Bi Qiujing asked Rachel to help her. During lunchtime, Bi Qiujing confronted the Manager in Li Mingcheng's office.

Feigning distress, she recounted how Mrs. Li had angrily accused her of seducing Li Mingcheng, showing the Manager the incriminating photo. Bi Qiujing subtly implicated the Manager by stating that Mrs. Li had mentioned the distinct 'Mozzie Buster' scent, and that of all the plants in the office, only the one on "Bi Qiujing's" desk had that particular fragrance, making Bi Qiujing a suspect in Mrs. Li's eyes, and that this felt like a deliberate setup.

She also noted the unique sound of high-heeled shoes, similar to the Manager's, heard at the KTV. As a final trap, Bi Qiujing mentioned that Mrs. Li would call the informant at 1 PM. Panicked, the Manager accidentally knocked over Li Mingcheng's favorite puzzle. At that moment, the Manager's phone rang with Bi Qiujing's "sub-account" call, which exposed her as the true culprit. The Manager admitted to taking the photos.

Bi Qiujing sternly told her that while liking someone isn't illegal, coveting another's possessions makes one a thief, and a thief's intentions would forever be impure, even if they obtained what they desired. Rachel then entered, distraught by the broken puzzle, and took the pieces to the warehouse to reassemble it. Bi Qiujing picked up a stray piece, discovering the puzzle was double-sided with a photo of Li Mingcheng on the back.

She found Rachel in the warehouse and confronted her, revealing her long-standing suspicion of Rachel's photography skills and her "God's Candid Diary" photo album. Finally, Bi Qiujing declared that she was Li Mingcheng's wife, a revelation that caused Rachel to nearly faint. Ning Fei discussed his unwillingness to recall his past with Dr. Chen, stating he found his former self too weak to protect loved ones.

Dr. Chen urged him to confront and accept his past, suggesting it might not be as terrible as he imagined and that understanding his forgotten two years was crucial to becoming a complete individual. Inspired, Ning Fei saw a poster of Lin Feifei and visited her home. He initially feigned memory recovery to mislead Lin Feifei. When that failed, he proposed they get back together, suggesting she could pretend he was the "old Ning Fei."

Lin Feifei rebuffed him, refusing to confuse his current self with his past. Annoyed, Ning Fei accidentally knocked over a box containing a tea bowl, a treasured keepsake of their relationship, causing Lin Feifei to break down in tears. Ning Fei, dismissive, remarked it was "just a bowl" and offered to buy her a new one before leaving in a huff. Later, Wei Qing arrived at Shangjue, insisting on discussing a partnership directly with Zhou Shi, ignoring all others.

Zhou Shi soon received an email confirming she was now the head of the Art Biennial project, and Wei Qing would be her direct contact. Puzzled by Xue Le's agreement to such an arrangement, Zhou Shi learned that Wei Qing had invested in Shangjue, leaving her with no alternative but to collaborate with him. Wei Qing openly declared that he was willing to spend money to be with her for eight hours a day, finding happiness in their shared work. Zhou Shi, accepting her fate, agreed to focus solely on their business ventures.

Episode 10 Recap

Bi Qiujing discovered Rachel was still faking unconsciousness, actively retouching Li Mingcheng's photos on her laptop. She threatened to "call the guy in your laptop" if Rachel didn't confess, which Rachel reluctantly did, admitting she couldn't control her urge to edit his pictures. Rachel then recounted her seven-year obsession with Li Mingcheng. Seven years prior, he was a handsome, talented, and righteous lead singer in a student band.

During a performance, he threw his microphone to stop a thief who had stolen Rachel's wallet, instantly captivating her. After the show, Li Mingcheng, noticing Rachel's school uniform, assumed she had skipped class and advised her to return for a room check to avoid a demerit, telling her to find him again after she got into university. Rachel diligently searched for him after college, only to find his band had disbanded.

She finally re-encountered him during a recruitment at the Yunma Investment Department, where her modest resume unexpectedly landed her in his department. However, Li Mingcheng didn't recognize her, and he no longer sang. Despite this, Rachel still admired him and cherished their past promise. Overwhelmed by embarrassment, Rachel begged Bi Qiujing not to reveal her secret to Li Mingcheng, offering to quit her job and delete all photos, declaring she'd "rather die" than face such humiliation.

Bi Qiujing, viewing it as "a girl in love," found the story amusing and even suggested Rachel continue. Rachel, however, feared legal repercussions, grateful that Bi Qiujing's intervention had saved her from "slipping into the abyss of crime." She attributed her actions to "adolescent obsession," convinced that Li Mingcheng would never notice someone as "dumb" as her.

Bi Qiujing disagreed, believing they could communicate despite intellectual differences, just as she and Rachel could, sensing a "special bond" and "strange destiny" between them. A nurse then called out "Bi Qiujing" for discharge, startling both women as they realized they shared the exact same name and birthday – February 2nd, making them both Aquariuses.

Rachel further confirmed that Li Mingcheng had known the name "Bi Qiujing" seven years ago and had even expressed his fondness for it, promising to remember it. Meanwhile, Wei Qing and Zhou Shi's collaboration at Sno Group was a battleground of clashing work philosophies, their loud arguments frequently alarming assistant Pei. Wei An, unfazed by the commotion, calmly advised Pei to let them be, knowing they would eventually reconcile. Their arguments persisted, even in the pantry.

Wei Qing insisted on using Master Wu Zheng's widely popular landscape collection for their joint jewelry design, emphasizing its "national recognition." Zhou Shi, conversely, criticized him for catering to popular tastes, arguing that Wu Zheng's true artistry lay in his constant "groundbreaking" and self-reinvention, not in past popular works. She accused Wei Qing of lacking artistic appreciation and sarcastically suggested he "hold a talent show" if he simply wanted to please the public.

Wei Qing retorted that he was a businessman, not an artist. Their heated debate continued until the company's power was cut for the day, and they were finally ushered out by the cleaning lady. The cleaning lady commented on Wei Qing being "rubbish," cautioning Zhou Shi against dating him. Zhou Shi, seemingly agreeing, classified Wei Qing as "recyclable waste" because he was "single-use garbage."

To stop his persistent lingering, Zhou Shi planted a quick kiss on his cheek, asking if he was "satisfied" and had achieved his "eight hours of happiness." When Wei Qing attempted another kiss, Zhou Shi sharply warned him against "touching Ning Fei," vividly describing methods of non-recyclable waste disposal as his potential fate if he dared. Wei Qing claimed he could "smell Ning Fei's scent" on her.

Zhou Shi urged him to keep Ning Fei out of their adult conflicts, hoping they could at least "say 'see you tomorrow'". Simultaneously, Xue Zi called Zhou Shi, summoning her to her villa. Upon returning home, Wei Qing found Ning Fei cuddling a small puppy, a creature Wei Qing was terrified of. Ning Fei teased him for his fear, but Wei Qing threatened him, claiming he hadn't taken his medication in two days.

After Ning Fei secured the puppy, Wei Qing questioned him about his medicine. Ning Fei explained that Xue Zi had prescribed it to control his mood and prevent "overthinking," as painful memory fragments often flooded his mind when he tried to recall his past. He mentioned the medicine helped him sleep soundly and also kept him from remembering old events. Wei Qing deduced that Ning Fei's amnesia was likely connected to these drugs.

He encouraged Ning Fei to stop suppressing his memories, suggesting that revisiting his past might reveal more about himself and the important people he had forgotten, asking if forgetting them wasn't a pity. Ning Fei then complained about "that girl," Lin Feifei, chasing him out for breaking a bowl, which he found ridiculous, dismissing it as "just a bowl."

Wei Qing reacted with solemnity, suggesting it was better for Ning Fei to remain amnesiac, as remembering might cause him to "strangle himself." Ning Fei experienced fragmented memories of Lin Feifei's intense distress over the broken bowl and his attempts to replace it. Later that night, unable to sleep, Ning Fei dreamed of a locked box, which aroused his curiosity. He then snuck into Wei Qing's room, attempting to join him in bed, but Wei Qing quickly pushed him away.

Meanwhile, Zhou Shi arrived at Xue Zi's villa. Xue Zi gave her a month's supply of Ning Fei's medication and a special ointment for Zhou Shi's hand injuries, playfully feigning concern about Zhou Shi's work efficiency. Zhou Shi was touched by Xue Zi's care for Ning Fei, but Xue Zi expressed frustration that despite her efforts, Ning Fei had moved into Wei Qing's house. Zhou Shi was shocked by this revelation and immediately resolved to make Ning Fei move out.

Xue Zi also had documents about Wei family members on her table. Zhou Shi questioned Xue Zi's intense hatred for Wei Qing, suggesting that as equally formidable figures, they could collaborate. Xue Zi vehemently refused, stating that their equal strength meant "it's either him or me," and she hated Wei Qing, wishing him dead, convinced he wouldn't cooperate with her either.

When Zhou Shi later proposed a collaboration with Xue Zi to Wei Qing, he flatly refused, offering no specific reason other than "their fates violate each other," giving him a "headache." Zhou Shi, feeling caught as a "middleman," tried to persuade Wei Qing to work with Xue Zi, but he stubbornly refused. Wei Qing then questioned why she seemed to prefer Xue Zi as a boss.

Zhou Shi explained that Xue Zi offered a level of companionship and understanding he couldn't, such as accompanying her to the restroom, shopping for lingerie, or doing spa treatments. She also knew Zhou Shi's menstrual cycle and would immediately provide sanitary products when needed, asking Wei Qing if he could do the same. Wei Qing, eager to prove himself, declared he could, immediately asking for the date of her next period.

Zhou Shi initially refused, stating they weren't close, but then her period unexpectedly started. In her distress, she was forced to admit that Wei Qing was more important than Xue Zi to secure his help in buying sanitary supplies. Wei Qing went to the supermarket but returned with a pack of adult diapers, size L, much to Zhou Shi's exasperation.

He attempted to justify his purchase by claiming it was 90% similar in function, blaming the salesperson for the mistake and feeling too "bad" to ask for a change. With Zhou Shi needing to use the restroom, Wei Qing, instead of a princess carry as she jokingly anticipated, wheeled her to the restroom in an office chair. Afterwards, he covered her stained clothes with his jacket and carried her to his car.

When Zhou Shi suggested going to his house as it was nearby, Wei Qing initially hesitated, claiming he had just adopted a "stray dog." However, he quickly called Wei An, instructing him to take the "stray dog" (Ning Fei) to the "veterinary clinic" immediately, as he was bringing a guest home.

Episode 11 Recap

Wei An arrived at the villa to inform Xue Ning that he needed to move into a hotel temporarily. Xue Ning, initially defiant, protested, "He's obviously trying to kick me out. Why? Does he think of me as an eyesore?" Wei An bluntly replied, "To be honest with you, yes." Xue Ning called Wei Qing a "jerk" and insisted that he would not leave the villa, as Wei Qing had promised him residence there.

Wei An then used dogs to compel Xue Ning to comply. In the car, Wei An asked Xue Ning where he wished to go. Having lost his memories of past relationships, Xue Ning replied that he was "homeless now" and didn't know where to go. He again criticized Wei Qing for being "a jerk" who was doing this "for a woman."

Wei An clarified that Zhou Shi was "not just any other woman," but "the other half of Mr. Wei's soul," which Xue Ning found to be a cliché. As they drove, Xue Ning saw Lin Feifei's advertisement on a billboard, inspiring him to seek her out. Lin Feifei was at home, upset about a canceled sunscreen advertisement and her constant need to diet. She wished for a better love life.

Suddenly, Xue Ning arrived at her doorstep with a large hot pot delivery, which he had ordered. Lin Feifei initially refused to eat, citing her status as a "celebrity" and her need for "weight management." However, Xue Ning revealed that he had added her agent, Hong, on WeChat and knew that Lin Feifei had no upcoming work. Her lie exposed, Lin Feifei reluctantly joined him in enjoying the food, though she vowed to become a famous actress.

Xue Ning then proposed that they drink together, a challenge Lin Feifei readily accepted. Meanwhile, Zhou Shi arrived at Wei Qing's home. Wei Qing was pleased, but Zhou Shi stated her only intention was to change her clothes. Wei Qing revealed he had already arranged for clothes for her. While Zhou Shi was changing, Wei Qing called Dr. Chen, complaining that Zhou Shi was too "intimidating" and treated everything as "nothing but business."

Dr. Chen advised Wei Qing to focus on making her stay, suggesting he express "how much you like her, how much you love her, and how much you want her back." He also mentioned that Zhou Shi hadn't worn a dress since her return. When Zhou Shi emerged wearing a black strap dress, she questioned its origin. Wei Qing inwardly admitted he had bought it because he thought it would suit her, but he claimed it wasn't his.

Zhou Shi, noticing the perfect fit, teased that it seemed "specially made for me," and asked if he kept any other women's clothing, which he quickly denied. To keep her at his house, Wei Qing insisted Zhou Shi relax on a massage chair while he made her tea. She resisted initially, but he playfully forced her into the chair, promising the massage would last about half an hour.

Wei Qing then called Li Mingcheng, asking how to care for a woman during her menstrual period. Li Mingcheng, whose wife Bi Qiujing had taken emergency leave and wasn't answering his calls, suggested feeding her snacks, keeping her happy, and making her brown sugar ginger tea for her "cold womb," even sending Wei Qing a video tutorial. At the same time, Li Mingcheng was in his office, reviewing Bi Qiujing’s leave application and Rachel’s resignation.

He called Bi Qiujing, but she didn’t answer. Rachel, summoned to his office, confirmed her decision to resign, but asked Li Mingcheng if he still remembered her from "seven years ago." Elsewhere, Bi Qiujing was at Lin Feifei’s apartment, silently drinking. Xue Ning discreetly moved away, allowing the two friends to talk. Lin Feifei asked Bi Qiujing what was wrong.

Bi Qiujing revealed she had learned the identity of Li Mingcheng's "other girl" and felt that she herself was the "mistress" in their relationship. She suspected Li Mingcheng saw her as a replacement for Rachel, explaining a psychological concept called the "Narcissus Complex," where people choose partners who resemble themselves if they can't find a complementary match. Xue Ning, overhearing, interjected to define the term, annoying Lin Feifei.

Despite claiming a "high tolerance for alcohol," Bi Qiujing became increasingly drunk, trying to prove her sobriety by drunkenly reciting the digits of Pi, much to Lin Feifei and Xue Ning's exasperation. Back at Wei Qing's house, Zhou Shi woke from her massage to find the brown sugar ginger tea. Touched by the gesture, she tasted it but found it barely "edible" and struggled to finish it. She then noticed Xue Ning's medication, realizing he had been there.

Worried, she called Xue Ning, but he didn't answer as he was preoccupied with Bi Qiujing's antics at Lin Feifei's. Zhou Shi then called Dr. Chen, inquiring about the mental health deterioration of a friend with "psychological sequela" who had missed medication for a week and whose whereabouts were unknown. Dr. Chen advised her to find him quickly. Zhou Shi realized the description likely fit Xue Ning and wondered why he had stopped taking his medication.

Thinking Zhou Shi had left, Wei Qing was heard talking to himself, remarking on how quickly "that girl" had departed. Li Mingcheng arrived at Lin Feifei's apartment to find a very drunk Bi Qiujing with a list of grievances against him. She insisted he answer each question in writing and email it to her. Ignoring her demands, Li Mingcheng simply picked her up and carried her home.

After they left, Xue Ning found another bottle of alcohol and poured drinks for himself and Lin Feifei. Lin Feifei informed him that Zhou Shi had called, but she had lied, saying Xue Ning wasn't there. She urged him to return home, but Xue Ning grew upset, feeling that since his amnesia, everyone only wanted the "old me" back and no one accepted his current self.

Lin Feifei angrily retorted that her memories of the past Xue Ning were "what I treasure the most" and that she wanted nothing to do with his current self, adding that he was "better than you in every sense." In a fit of anger, Lin Feifei drank the alcohol Xue Ning had poured. She suddenly felt dizzy, realizing too late that it was a "strong alcohol Bi Qiujing made in her experiment," and promptly fainted.

Xue Ning, who hadn't drunk any of it, stayed to care for her. The next morning, Lin Feifei awoke to find Xue Ning lying beside her. Startled, she tried to distance herself, but Xue Ning provocatively claimed she had "took the initiative" the previous night, urging her to "face the reality" and accept that she could "no longer say that you've got nothing to do with me." Enraged by his words, Lin Feifei slapped him.

Xue Ning, realizing that his teasing had backfired and he had received a slap after caring for her all night, reflected, "I shouldn't have teased her." He left the apartment and found Wei An waiting for him downstairs. Wei An asked where he wished to go, implying he still couldn't return to the villa. Xue Ning then made a request to Wei An, stating that if it was fulfilled, he would stop bothering Wei Qing, as Wei Qing "owes it to me."

Episode 12 Recap

Wei Qing awoke to find the black dress Zhou Shi had worn the previous night in the laundry basket. Dazed, he questioned if his memories of the night were just a fantasy. He called Li Mingcheng, informing him he wouldn't be at the company that day and instructed him and Wei An to handle all company affairs, adding that he shouldn't be called unless absolutely necessary. Later, Wei Qing arrived at Shangjue, where Zhou Shi worked.

He stubbornly insisted on sharing her office. Annoyed, Zhou Shi instructed Xiao Pei to bring in another desk. Taking the opportunity, Wei Qing asked Zhou Shi when she had left the previous night. She responded that she left after her clothes had dried, and he had already fallen asleep from drinking too much. Once the desk arrived, Wei Qing sat there, observing Zhou Shi as she worked, while Zhou Shi, annoyed, vowed not to get angry.

Zhou Shi, however, was distracted by thoughts of the previous night. In a flashback, a drunken Wei Qing, suffering from mild hypochondriasis, had mistaken her for an imaginary version of herself. In that state, he was gentle and affectionate, asking her to stay by his side until he fell asleep. Deeply affected, Zhou Shi later sought out Dr. Chen for an explanation.

Dr. Chen revealed that Wei Qing had developed mild hypochondriasis about six months after Zhou Shi left, causing him to hallucinate her presence. Dr. Chen suggested that just as Zhou Shi had cured his allergies in the past, she was now his "heart's remedy" and that if she continued to love him, his condition would improve. As Zhou Shi busied herself until noon, Wei Qing invited her for lunch.

She declined, citing her heavy workload as an Art Biennial curator, the need to finalize contracts for emerging artists, and a prior engagement at the gallery to discuss exhibition layouts. Instead of eating, she took some health supplements. Wei Qing felt a pang of sadness, recalling her former love for food and noting how much she had changed, indicating the hardship she must have endured over the past two years.

While Zhou Shi was busy, Wei Qing secretly met with Xue Le, the General Manager of Shangjue. Wei Qing implied that Snow, Shangjue's family enterprise, prioritized bloodline, making it difficult for Xue Le, an adopted son, to fully inherit the company despite his contributions. He suggested that this biennial was a test for Xue Le from the elders to prove his worth.

Wei Qing further revealed that he knew Xue Le had arranged for Zhou Shi to join Shangjue to attract Wei Qing's attention and draw him into the "muddy waters" of the biennial. Wei Qing offered to help Shangjue achieve fame and establish itself through the biennial, but only if Xue Le agreed to release Zhou Shi from her contract. Xue Le, seeing Wei Qing's unwavering obsession with Zhou Shi, agreed to the condition.

Unwilling for her to skip meals, Wei Qing ordered a lavish amount of takeout, mostly sushi, and had it delivered to the office. Zhou Shi, finding his grand gesture overwhelming and the food too much for her, shared it with her colleagues. After the lunch break, Zhou Shi went to the gallery to discuss the exhibition setup. She managed to snatch a few bites of sushi before she and Wei Qing clashed over the selection of artwork for the Biennial.

Zhou Shi proposed featuring Wu Zheng's latest "Aurora series" to embody Shangjue's youthful and innovative spirit, believing the public desired new works. Wei Qing countered, advocating for Wu Zheng's classic "Farm Keeper series" due to its higher commercial value and broader appeal. He argued that as a first-time organizer in China, he had more market experience and could negotiate the copyright transfer for the classic works.

Zhou Shi firmly asserted that as Shangjue was the main organizer and Yunma merely a co-organizer, her plan would proceed unless Wei Qing could secure the "Farm Keeper series" copyrights. Later, Zhou Shi’s lack of proper meals caught up to her, causing stomach pain. Observing her discomfort, Wei Qing brought her hot water. He expressed concern for her strenuous work, urging her not to overexert herself, and suggested she return to Yunma.

However, Zhou Shi refused, explaining that she didn't want to be his subordinate again, believing his attitude would "infuriate her to death." She stated that maintaining their current "safe distance" was preferable for both of them. Meanwhile, Ning Fei, still suffering from amnesia and calling himself Xue Ning, continued to live with Lin Feifei. Bi Qiujing appeared to get along well with him, which irked Lin Feifei.

Bi Qiujing rationalized that Xue Ning was essentially the same person as Ning Fei, and she was simply transferring her affections. Lin Feifei laid down ground rules for Ning Fei: no female guests, he could only be called "Ning Fei" at home, and he had to comply with her "treatment plan." This plan involved hitting him on the head with a frying pan to jog his memory, a method Bi Qiujing quickly advised against as unscientific.

Lin Feifei also considered having him physically beaten or creating a scene re-enactment to stimulate his memory, which Bi Qiujing quickly dissuaded her from. Ning Fei, with nowhere else to go, reluctantly signed the "tyrannical" agreement. Later, Lin Feifei, still desperate to restore his memory, turned the shower to cold while Ning Fei was bathing, hoping a sudden shock would help. Ning Fei emerged, sneezing and complaining of a cold, but refused medicine, instead demanding Lin Feifei cook him noodles.

Lin Feifei was surprised by his request. After taking a bite, Ning Fei spat out the noodles, declaring them "poisonous." This instantly triggered a poignant memory for Lin Feifei, recalling that the original Ning Fei had said the exact same words when he first tasted her cooking. Back at Shangjue, Zhou Shi presented her revised Biennial plan, incorporating Wei Qing's earlier suggestions.

To her surprise, Wei Qing waved it off without a glance, stating he trusted her and that the exhibition's success was secondary to her happiness. Zhou Shi was incensed by his perceived disrespect for her hard work and ordered him out of her office, barring his re-entry. Frustrated, Wei Qing assigned Li Mingcheng to take over the Biennial project.

Li Mingcheng and Zhou Shi caught up, and Li Mingcheng spoke favorably of Wei Qing, urging Zhou Shi to be more understanding. He explained Wei Qing’s heightened insecurity stemming from their past long-distance relationship and his genuine efforts to change. Zhou Shi then inquired about Li Mingcheng's relationship with Bi Qiujing. Li Mingcheng admitted Bi Qiujing was still staying at Lin Feifei’s and he was unsure why she was upset.

Later that evening, Li Mingcheng sent a text to Bi Qiujing, asking her to message him when she wished to return home. As he pondered why she was upset, he noticed an old guitar in his closet, wondering if her recent coldness and refusal to be called "wife" meant she had discovered something specific about his past. Rachel’s resignation process was complete, and Li Mingcheng walked her out. Rachel asked him to call her by her name one last time.

Li Mingcheng politely refused, stating, "Rachel is Rachel, and Bi Qiujing is Bi Qiujing," before promptly leaving. Meanwhile, Zhou Shi called Wei Qing, and he expressed pleasure that she had reached out to him, telling her he was arriving at Shangjue. Zhou Shi, however, was furious and confronted him, revealing that Wu Zheng's secretary had just called to cancel their collaboration due to a problem with the contract, implying Wei Qing’s interference.

Episode 13 Recap

Zhou Shi and Wei Qing contacted Wu Zheng's studio to inquire about the sudden termination of their collaboration. The studio representative explained that the original agreement was only for the usage rights of the Aurora Constellation Series, but the contract sent to Wu Zheng had been altered to include the usage rights of all of Wu Zheng's artworks.

Wei Qing vehemently denied any modification, stating they had not changed the contract, and requested to speak with Wu Zheng in person to clarify the misunderstanding. However, the representative refused, accusing them of commercial fraud and asserting that Wu Zheng's team would reserve the right to sue. After the call ended, Zhou Shi and Wei Qing began investigating the contract.

It was Li Mingcheng who had signed and stamped the document, and he confirmed that it was fine when he checked it before stamping. The contract had only passed through three people: Wei Qing, Zhou Shi, and Li Mingcheng. Zhou Shi struggled to pinpoint the source of the problem, but she sternly warned Wei Qing that if he were found responsible for the tampering, she would not let him off easily.

That evening, while dining with Bi Qiujing and Lin Feifei, Zhou Shi discussed the contract issue. Lin Feifei believed Wei Qing wouldn't resort to such actions, explaining that while he might be ruthless, he would never jeopardize Yunma's reputation. Given Wu Zheng's standing in the industry, a lawsuit would severely impact Yunma. The question remained: if not them, who altered the contract?

Zhou Shi informed Bi Qiujing that Li Mingcheng had been suspended due to the contract incident, suggesting she go comfort him. Bi Qiujing admitted she wasn't good at comforting people. Lin Feifei and Zhou Shi demonstrated a playful approach, advising her to be affectionate with Li Mingcheng. Upon returning home, Bi Qiujing found Li Mingcheng playing the guitar, looking radiant. Following her friends' advice, she embraced him warmly, expressing her unwavering support.

Her actions significantly lifted Li Mingcheng's spirits, and although their previous misunderstandings hadn't fully resolved, their relationship softened considerably. Later, Bi Qiujing pondered how Li Mingcheng truly shone when playing guitar, and wondered if she had inadvertently overshadowed his brilliance, acknowledging her jealousy for not realizing his talent sooner. Lin Feifei encouraged her to make changes to maintain freshness in their two-year marriage. Zhou Shi then met with Xue Le to discuss the Art Biennial.

Xue Le revealed he was already aware of the situation and unsurprised by the outcome. He showed Zhou Shi a photo of Xue Zi and Wei Qing together, explaining that the Art Biennial was a test from the Snow family. Though Xue Zi held power, some family members aimed to elevate Xue Le due to his bloodline, but he needed the Art Biennial to gain credibility. He suspected Wei Qing and Xue Zi had conspired to obstruct his advancement.

Feigning resignation, Xue Le declared his intention to simply be a "useless rich kid" and warned Zhou Shi to be wary of Xue Zi. Furious, Zhou Shi confronted Wei Qing in his office, demanding to know if his meeting with Xue Zi was related to the contract. Wei Qing denied any involvement with the contract, claiming he met Xue Zi to persuade her to release Zhou Shi. Zhou Shi questioned Xue Zi's conditions for doing so.

Wei Qing hesitated before admitting Xue Zi required him to sabotage the Art Biennial, for which Xue Le was responsible. He insisted, however, that he had not tampered with the contract and had stopped aiding Xue Zi after their last argument, realizing the Art Biennial's importance to Zhou Shi. Unconvinced, Zhou Shi refused to believe him, stating his actions only pushed her further away, as she no longer needed his protection nor his self-serving interventions.

Shortly after, Wei An arrived, informing Wei Qing that Wu Zheng's legal team had issued a lawyer's letter, seeking compensation from both Shangjue and Yunma. Zhou Shi's anger flared, and she considered punishing Wei Qing but worried about exacerbating his illness. She called Dr. Chen, who advised her to offer warmth and care, or "settle accounts later" once Wei Qing's condition improved. Zhou Shi decided on the latter.

Wei Qing located Wu Zheng and, accompanied by Zhou Shi, went to apologize. However, Wu Zheng's secretary blocked their entry. Determined, Zhou Shi decided they would stay in the vicinity. The only available suite at the nearby resort had already been booked by Wei Qing, forcing them to share a room. While there, Zhou Shi unexpectedly encountered her former classmate, Zhang Shuai, who was at the resort to paint murals.

Zhang Shuai presented Zhou Shi with an old painting of Wei Qing's back that she had once created, prompting a surge of emotion in Zhou Shi, who now regretted her inability to paint. Later, Zhang Shuai spoke with Wei Qing, revealing that Zhou Shi had returned from abroad to be with him, despite her mentor's wishes for her to stay and develop her career.

He emphasized that Zhou Shi loved Wei Qing deeply, but her love was fragile and required mutual care and reassurance. Wei Qing was deeply moved by this revelation. To atone for his past mistakes, particularly for causing her hand injury by preventing her from working with Wu Zheng, Wei Qing prepared a candlelight dinner. During a sudden power outage, his attempt to surprise her resulted in Zhou Shi instinctively throwing her phone at him in the dark.

He then apologized for his selfishness and acknowledged his failure to grow alongside her. He recognized the painting Zhang Shuai had brought back as the one she drew of him after his mother had slapped him, and asked if she would forgive him again if they finished the painting together. Zhou Shi agreed. Meanwhile, Ning Fei, determined to repair the broken bowl for Lin Feifei, scoured many places but found no one capable of fixing it.

He then meticulously researched and bought materials to repair the bowl himself. Lin Feifei was touched by his effort but cautiously reminded herself not to conflate the current Ning Fei with the one she knew before his memory loss. The next morning, Zhou Shi and Wei Qing went for a run, hoping to intercept Wu Zheng, who had a habit of morning jogs. Upon seeing them, Wu Zheng immediately sped up and ran away.

Wei Qing, struggling with his stamina, couldn't keep up, and Zhou Shi refused to abandon him. They eventually made their way to Wu Zheng's house, but he still refused to meet them. Zhang Shuai, observing their predicament, suggested that Wu Zheng's daughter, Wu Xiao, was his soft spot.

He mentioned that Wu Xiao had recently returned from abroad and had been seen dining with her father at the resort, assuring them that if she helped, they would surely get to meet Wu Zheng.

Episode 14 Recap

Zhang Shuai explained to Wei Qing and Zhou Shi that Wu Xiao deeply admired Wei Qing and, after being rescued by Zhou Shi, also adored her. She was a devoted fan of their relationship, hoping they would achieve lasting happiness, having followed their story from its inception. While Wei Qing was pleased by this, Zhou Shi expressed reservations about involving Wu Xiao.

She did not want to exploit Wu Xiao's admiration or perceived obligation, preferring to approach Wu Zheng with her own sincerity. Wei Qing disagreed, not wanting Zhou Shi to endure hardship, but she insisted he couldn't stop her. Wei Qing maintained that as CEO of Yunma, he would handle the issue and wouldn't allow her to grovel. Zhou Shi countered that while he could disagree, he couldn't prevent her from acting on her principles.

Wei Qing then left, assuring her he wouldn't seek Wu Xiao's help. Zhang Shuai tried to make Zhou Shi understand Wei Qing's concern for her, but Zhou Shi, while aware of his feelings, called him a "domineering maniac." Zhang Shuai argued it was a "wife-protecting maniac"—a good thing. Zhou Shi, however, admitted she disliked his controlling behavior but couldn't ignore his affection. Zhou Shi once again sought an audience with Wu Zheng.

When he refused to open his door, she stood steadfastly outside under the scorching sun. Even Wu Zheng's secretary was moved and suggested he meet her, mentioning Zhou Shi's sincerity regarding the contract. However, Wu Zheng remained cautious, stating that while Zhou Shi might be genuinely earnest, he couldn't be sure about Wei Qing, whose past methods he was aware of.

He eventually instructed his secretary to give Zhou Shi water, though he believed she wouldn't leave until she met him. Unable to deter Zhou Shi, Wei Qing arrived with a parasol and a small fan to keep her cool, sitting beside her. He confessed he knew her stubborn nature would lead her here, and he didn't want her to suffer heatstroke, playfully calling her his "dog," a comment she retorted.

When Zhou Shi's legs went numb, Wei Qing helped her sit and used the fan on her. She optimistically noted that Mr. Wu's secretary bringing water might indicate a softening stance, and Wei Qing promised to stay with her until Wu Zheng was moved. Later, as Wu Zheng left in his car, he briefly rolled down the window, telling Zhou Shi to go home.

In her haste to plead with him, Zhou Shi ran after his car and collapsed from heatstroke. Wu Zheng ordered his driver to stop, but upon seeing Wei Qing already attending to Zhou Shi, he left. Back at the hotel, Wei Qing carefully treated Zhou Shi's scraped arm and dizziness from heatstroke, sternly instructing her to rest and keep the wound dry. He then took her place outside Wu Zheng's house as a "door guardian."

Lin Feifei brought Ning Fei to her film set. After he playfully teased her about her age, he asked about her upcoming scene. Upon learning it was a kissing scene, Ning Fei immediately expressed jealousy and forbade her from doing it, suggesting she find another job. Lin Feifei challenged him, asking who he was to make such demands and if he would financially support her.

She noted that his "past self" wouldn't have minded, but Ning Fei immediately questioned this, asking why he would have constantly "declared dominance" over her if that were true. Lin Feifei sensed he was remembering something, but the director called her away. While Lin Feifei was filming, Ning Fei was seen flirting with other girls and exchanging contact information. Lin Feifei, seeing this, pulled him away and scolded him. He agreed to stop flirting if she stopped scolding him.

When she pressed him about his "declaring dominance" comment, he drew her close and kissed her, revealing that his most frequent memories of their past involved them "kissing each other." Although annoyed, Lin Feifei found herself drawn to his current self.

Later, a friend warned her about getting too emotionally involved, but Lin Feifei admitted that despite not having the "old" Ning Fei's soul, being able to see him every day was enough, and she couldn't abandon him in his current state. Bi Qiujing sought Lin Feifei's help to transform her image, hoping to rekindle the spark in her marriage with Li Mingcheng. Lin Feifei enthusiastically took on the task, promising to make Li Mingcheng captivated by her again.

She dressed Bi Qiujing in a mature and alluring outfit, which, despite Bi Qiujing's initial discomfort and Ning Fei's distracting compliments, Lin Feifei insisted was stunning. Lin Feifei then outlined a comprehensive makeover plan, including a new hairstyle, contact lenses, skincare, and even suggestive lingerie, which she humorously referred to as a "special gift for Li Mingcheng" to appreciate "inner beauty." Bi Qiujing was hesitant about the lingerie, but Lin Feifei assured her it was crucial.

To further enhance her feminine charm, Lin Feifei coached Bi Qiujing to emulate the seductive mannerisms of a celebrity like Lin Chiling, urging her to put in maximum effort for their one-night mission. That evening, Wei Qing returned from Wu Zheng's house with a sunburned face, having stood there all afternoon on Zhou Shi's behalf. Recalling Zhang Shuai's earlier words about Wei Qing's love for her, Zhou Shi felt a pang of tenderness, seeing all his efforts.

She retrieved ointment and gently applied it to his face, a gesture Wei Qing clearly appreciated. While applying the ointment, Wei Qing playfully complained about Wu Zheng's stubbornness, noting he hadn't even offered water. Zhou Shi teased him back about his "gentleman killer" reputation. Realizing that waiting wasn't working, Wei Qing suggested trying a different approach.

Zhou Shi agreed, proposing they seek Wu Xiao's help, but with the strict condition that they would be honest with her and she must willingly choose to assist them. Wei Qing readily agreed to her terms. Zhang Shuai led Wei Qing and Zhou Shi to a restaurant where Wu Xiao was dining. Wei Qing initially approached Wu Xiao alone, but Zhou Shi soon joined him to provide "assistance."

Wu Xiao, thrilled to see Wei Qing, quickly recognized Zhou Shi as her savior and idol. She immediately asked if they were a couple, treating them as her ideal for love. When Zhou Shi tried to explain they were just colleagues, Wu Xiao became upset, worried that if her "love role models" weren't together, she would lose face in front of her father.

To secure her help in meeting Wu Zheng, Wei Qing lied, claiming they were secretly in a relationship, a statement Zhou Shi was hesitant to support. Wei Qing justified it by saying they would be together eventually. Wu Xiao, overjoyed, insisted on observing their "true interaction" and began taking photos. While she was occupied, Wei Qing informed Zhou Shi that Wu Xiao had already seen through their act but was still willing to help because she sensed their mutual affection.

He explained that Wu Xiao believed "eyes don't lie" when someone is in love, and that when he looked at Zhou Shi, his eyes were full of love. As the two shared a tender moment, almost leaning in for a kiss, Wu Xiao suddenly reappeared, camera in hand, snapping a picture and interrupting them, stating the "beautiful sight" was irresistible. With their "performance" complete, Wu Xiao excitedly agreed to take them to meet her father.

While Zhou Shi and Wei Qing waited, they discussed the uncertainty of Wu Xiao's success. Meanwhile, at home, Wu Zheng, a doting father, was initially strict with his daughter. He became annoyed when Wu Xiao mentioned her "friends," Wei Qing and Zhou Shi, accusing her of setting a trap and being used. However, Wu Xiao skillfully leveraged his concern over her future dating life, threatening to disregard his opinions if he didn't grant her a favor.

Wu Zheng, unable to resist his daughter's pleas, reluctantly agreed to meet them. During the meeting, Wei Qing explained the contract situation, emphasizing their commitment to finding the truth and their high regard for reputation over profit. He also offered to discuss compensation to minimize Wu Zheng's losses. Wu Xiao passionately vouched for them, stating her fondness and belief that they were also victims.

Moved by their candor and his daughter's earnest advocacy, Wu Zheng agreed not to pursue legal action against Yunma and Shangjue nor demand compensation. However, he firmly stated that their partnership was officially terminated. Wei Qing accepted his decision, promising to conduct a thorough investigation and issue a public apology once the truth emerged, expressing hope for future collaboration. After leaving, Zhou Shi complained about her feet hurting from wearing high heels all day with Wu Xiao.

Wei Qing, noticing her reddened feet, told her she didn't need to wear high heels when she was with him and then spontaneously offered her a piggyback ride back to the hotel, playfully calling her too light. Reflecting on the meeting, Zhou Shi was content despite not securing the partnership, feeling that gaining Wu Zheng's understanding and apologizing was worth her efforts.

When Wei Qing asked why she was so driven, Zhou Shi silently mused that she needed to become a better version of herself to stand by his side. Later at the hotel, Wei Qing found Zhou Shi struggling to open a bottle with her injured hand. He helped her with her skincare routine, teasing her with offers of a "deluxe full-body wash and treatment," and joked about her giving him a five-star review. The playful exchange further highlighted the undeniable romantic tension between them.

Episode 15 Recap

The ambiguous tension between Wei Qing and Zhou Shi escalated as Wei Qing leaned in for a kiss. However, Zhou Shi suddenly pushed him away, telling him to clean his face, clear his head, stop his wild thoughts, and leave as she was going to shower.

Moments later, Wei Qing received a phone call from Li Mingcheng, who informed him that he had checked Mr. Wu's contract and found that the copyright page felt different to the touch and had lighter ink, indicating it had been swapped. Li Mingcheng was certain. Wei Qing immediately relayed this information to Zhou Shi, and they decided to head over to Li Mingcheng’s place to investigate further.

Meanwhile, Bi Qiujing, transformed with a new appearance and a very gentle demeanor orchestrated by Lin Feifei, returned home. She flirted with Li Mingcheng, calling him "husband" and offering to make him "food." Li Mingcheng was visibly confused and uncomfortable by her new style, asking if she was unwell. Bi Qiujing internally admitted the act was exhausting but resolved to maintain it since Li Mingcheng seemed to like it.

She lovingly made him a "Ten-Herb Silkie Chicken Soup," which caused Li Mingcheng to have a nosebleed and then severe stomach issues. While he rushed to the restroom, Wei Qing and Zhou Shi arrived. Zhou Shi complimented Bi Qiujing on her stunning new look, and Wei Qing commented on Teacher Bi's unexpected side.

After emerging from the bathroom, Li Mingcheng, looking weak, expressed his bewilderment over Bi Qiujing's sudden change, mentioning she had been acting differently since returning from Feifei’s and insisted on cooking. Bi Qiujing, in an internal monologue, mused that diarrhea was a way to solve "over-nourishment." Wei Qing, observing Li Mingcheng's domestic bliss, jokingly offered to extend his sabbatical, but Li Mingcheng insisted on resolving the contract issue quickly to return to work.

Examining the contract, they confirmed that a page had indeed been swapped. Li Mingcheng recalled stepping away from his office briefly to see Rachel off before stamping the document, which would have been the only opportunity for the swap. Although surveillance footage showed no one entering the office, they deduced that the footage itself must have been tampered with, suspecting an inside mole. Wei Qing then received a call informing him that Xue Le was demanding compensation from Yunma.

Wei Qing and Zhou Shi both believed the Xue siblings were involved, although they couldn't determine if Xue Zi and Xue Le were collaborating or if one of them was acting alone. Zhou Shi was adamant about staying at Snow Group to uncover the truth, which subtly pleased Wei Qing, as he realized she stayed for him. However, he cautioned that the cunning Xue Zi and Xue Le wouldn't easily trust her.

To gain their confidence, he proposed they stage a public argument to make it appear their relationship was irrevocably broken. The following day, Zhou Shi accompanied Xue Le to Yunma to deliver the compensation claim to Wei Qing. Before entering, Zhou Shi made it clear to Xue Le that her relationship with Wei Qing was purely professional, a business-to-business matter.

Inside, Wei Qing, barely glancing at the documents, instructed Wei An to handle the financial transfer, dismissing it as a trivial matter. When Xue Le questioned his lack of attention, Wei Qing responded that such minor issues didn't require his personal review and that if there was nothing else, he would not accompany them further. Zhou Shi then asked Xue Le to leave, stating she needed a private word with Wei Qing.

Xue Le, pretending to leave, hid nearby to eavesdrop. Zhou Shi then launched into a performance, firmly telling Wei Qing that their previous collaboration was purely for business and did not signify forgiveness for his past actions of going to Xue Zi alone and using her as a bargaining chip. She demanded he stop bothering her and expressed her desire to never see him again at Shangjue.

Wei Qing played along, seemingly caught off guard and hurt, asking what kind of joke she was playing. Zhou Shi then asked him to have some self-respect. Later, Xue Le approached Lin Feifei, presenting her with flowers and inviting her to a private banquet as his date. Lin Feifei hesitated, but Ning Fei, having overheard the conversation, interjected, declaring Lin Feifei unavailable and warning her that Xue Le was not a good person.

Lin Feifei, irritated by Ning Fei’s interference, dismissed him as a "little kid" to Xue Le, and emphasized Xue Le’s status as an investor before accepting his invitation and sending Ning Fei away. Furious, Ning Fei muttered about Lin Feifei's constant mentioning of "Ning Fei" and her obsession with his past self, which ironically triggered flashes of memories he shared with her.

He vividly recalled a past conversation with Lin Feifei where he described the sweet feeling of liking someone, comparing it to having "cotton candy" in one's heart, and she teasingly suggested he would be wagging his tail if he had one. Continuing their elaborate charade, Wei Qing officially announced Li Mingcheng's dismissal from Yunma, circulating the notice to all employees via email.

In reality, Wei Qing entrusted Li Mingcheng with a hard drive containing a week's worth of company surveillance footage, tasking him with proving his innocence and uncovering the true mole. Wei Qing theorized that the real culprit would likely make a move, believing Li Mingcheng was taking the fall. He also provided Li Mingcheng with compensation as a "vacation fund." After ensuring Li Mingcheng understood his mission, Wei Qing left for a secret rendezvous with Zhou Shi.

Their date began with Wei Qing using a grammatical code phrase, which Zhou Shi found childish, teasing him about his simple sunglasses disguise that she easily saw through. Wei Qing explained they were meeting on a high observation vehicle for privacy. He then explained his strategy to Zhou Shi: "The bait has been cast. Now we just wait for the fish to bite." Wei Qing and Zhou Shi proceeded to enjoy a playful date at an amusement park.

Spotting Zhou Shi's longing gaze at a stuffed animal prize from a dart game, Wei Qing effortlessly demonstrated his skill, winning the coveted toy for her. Their time together, filled with laughter and lighthearted banter, including playful teasing about photos and a chase for a phone, was a rare moment of genuine happiness since Zhou Shi's return. As evening approached, Wei Qing began a countdown. At its conclusion, a spectacular firework display illuminated the sky.

Zhou Shi gasped in delight, believing they were simply lucky to have caught the park's closing firework show, unaware that Wei Qing had meticulously planned the surprise. As she turned, still captivated by the display, Wei Qing said, "What I see is even more beautiful," before lowering his head and kissing her. Meanwhile, Li Mingcheng spent the entire day meticulously reviewing the surveillance footage provided by Wei Qing, yet found no discernible anomalies.

Bi Qiujing, ever attentive, brought him a bowl of "Snow Pear and Mung Bean Soup," which she explained was for cooling his body, having added century egg slices to stimulate his appetite and curb retching, though cautioning against excessive consumption due to lead content. Moments after consuming the unusual concoction, Li Mingcheng once again rushed to the restroom. While he was away, Bi Qiujing, in an internal monologue, mused if the snow pear had a laxative effect.

She then noticed "frame rate spikes" in the video, indicating it had been edited. She skillfully restored the original footage, revealing a colleague, Wang Kang, entering Li Mingcheng’s office during the crucial time. Thrilled, Li Mingcheng realized he finally had proof of his innocence. As he prepared to send the evidence to Wei Qing, he received a phone call from Lin Feifei, who inadvertently revealed Bi Qiujing's recent drastic changes were all an effort to impress him.

Li Mingcheng, now aware of her feigned persona, told Bi Qiujing that he didn't like her changing herself and that he preferred her true self, acknowledging her efforts while also confessing that he had reached his "testing limit" with her "experiments." The next day, Wei An informed Wei Qing that Wang Kang, the identified mole, had previously worked in Snow Group's marketing department three years prior but had concealed this fact during his interview with Yunma.

Wei Qing instructed Wei An to continue the investigation, specifically to uncover whether Wang Kang was acting under the orders of Xue Zi or Xue Le. Later, Wei Qing called Zhou Shi, inviting her to his place that night with "good news."

Episode 16 Recap

Zhou Shi arrived at Wei Qing’s house, disguised as a food delivery person to avoid suspicion. She explained that she had been extremely cautious not to be found out. Wei Qing, whose stomach was rumbling, had not eaten because his caretaker was off. Seeing the fridge full of ingredients, Zhou Shi offered to cook for him, despite some kitchen mishaps, including getting chili in her eye and a small fire incident.

Over dinner, Wei Qing informed Zhou Shi that Li Mingcheng had identified the mole, a former Snow Group employee. Zhou Shi deduced that the mole was likely working for Xue Zi, given their history. As the Art Biennial had concluded, Zhou Shi planned to report back to Xue Zi and investigate if she was indeed behind the contract issues.

Outside, a sudden thunderstorm erupted, prompting Wei Qing to ask Zhou Shi to stay the night, promising he wouldn't "do anything" but simply wanting her to stay longer. Zhou Shi agreed and called Lin Feifei to inform her. Lin Feifei, unconvinced by Zhou Shi’s claim of sleeping in the guest room, teased her, saying, "Your breakup with him is like a joke. Yesterday, you wanted to cut ties with him. Today, you're sharing the same pillow."

She added that despite their denials, they acted exactly like a couple. After the call, Wei Qing invited Zhou Shi to watch a movie. As they watched, their feelings for each other grew, leading to a kiss. Zhou Shi, while protesting, did not resist. Meanwhile, Xue Le had invited Lin Feifei to the celebratory banquet for Snow Group's new mainland company.

Lin Feifei had earlier sought refuge at Bi Qiu Jing’s house to avoid Xue Le, who was an investor in her TV series. She also found herself trying to avoid Bi Qiu Jing’s experimental cooking, as did Li Mingcheng, who still loved the real Bi Qiu Jing and encouraged her to be herself, after having an upset stomach from her food. Xue Le eventually called Lin Feifei, appearing at Bi Qiu Jing's house.

Unable to refuse her investor, Lin Feifei agreed to attend. At the banquet, Lin Feifei discovered from Zhou Shi that Xue Le was not only part of Snow Group but also Xue Zi’s younger brother and an heir. Due to a personal grudge against Xue Zi, Lin Feifei declared she couldn't stay in the same room as her and tried to leave.

Xue Le attempted to stop her, but Ning Fei unexpectedly arrived and publicly declared Lin Feifei his girlfriend, asserting his claim over her. Xue Zi, observing the scene, sarcastically remarked to Xue Le that Lin Feifei "always has two men wrapped around her finger." Ning Fei countered, stating that from now on, Lin Feifei would only be "wrapped around his finger." He then led Lin Feifei away, though she was annoyed by his presumptuousness.

She questioned how he could be her boyfriend if he couldn't even remember the shared experiences that formed their relationship. Ning Fei then hinted at recovering some memories, asking, "What if I did remember?" giving Lin Feifei a flicker of hope before telling her, "Let's go home." Separately at the banquet, Wei Qing and Zhou Shi were having a private conversation when they spotted Xue Zi and Xue Le approaching.

Following their pre-arranged plan, Zhou Shi quickly initiated a loud argument with Wei Qing, demanding he "stop pestering" her. Initially confused, Wei Qing quickly caught on to Zhou Shi's intent and played along, declaring he would meet any of her demands. Xue Zi intervened, reprimanding Wei Qing for "roughing up a lady" and reminding him that Zhou Shi was now Snow Group’s staff.

Wei Qing, maintaining the facade, then congratulated Snow Group on entering the domestic market, expressed hope for future cooperation, and left. After he departed, Xue Zi handed Zhou Shi her car keys and asked her to retrieve a gift box from the boot, intending to send her away. Suspecting this, Zhou Shi asked a passing server to fetch the box, while she discreetly listened to Xue Zi's conversation with Xue Le.

Xue Zi confronted Xue Le about the biennial incident, expressing disbelief that Wei Qing, known for his shrewdness, would make such a "dumb mistake" with the contract. She then revealed her knowledge that Wang Kang, the mole, was working for Xue Le. Xue Le initially denied it, but Xue Zi presented her evidence. She warned her younger brother, "You're still young. . . It's normal to employ tactics while doing business. But be mindful of the backlash.

You're no match for Wei Qing." The conversation was cut short when the server returned with the gift box. After Xue Le left, Xue Zi asked Zhou Shi to stay and then informed her that she would be temporarily transferred to Shangjue to "keep an eye" on Xue Le, stating it was normal to send someone from a subsidiary to supervise.

The next day, as soon as Zhou Shi arrived at Shangjue, news broke that Wei Qing had publicly announced his intention to marry her and make her a shareholder in Yunma. Xue Le summoned Zhou Shi to his office, asking if she planned to join Yunma. Zhou Shi denied it, reiterating her commitment to Snow Group. Xue Le remarked that she sounded just like his sister, suggesting they were "the same kind."

Shortly after, Wei Qing arrived at Shangjue with a group of reporters and publicly proposed to Zhou Shi in front of all the employees. Zhou Shi, sticking to their plan, rejected his proposal and quickly fled. Wei Qing later explained to Zhou Shi that this elaborate public display was their "test of loyalty," intended to make Xue Zi believe Zhou Shi was still crucially important to him.

This, he argued, would lead Xue Zi to see Zhou Shi as a valuable pawn, allowing her to uncover deeper secrets within Snow Group, with the shares serving as her bargaining chip. As Wei Qing had anticipated, Xue Zi contacted Zhou Shi. She instructed Zhou Shi to accept Wei Qing’s offer to become a Yunma shareholder, on the condition that Zhou Shi transfer 10% of those shares to her in exchange for 10% of Snow Group's shares.

Xue Zi explained that with Snow Group's nascent presence in China, a partnership with Yunma was the best strategic choice. However, she expressed distrust in working directly with Wei Qing and desired Zhou Shi to act as an intermediary. Zhou Shi questioned if Xue Zi was worried about her and Wei Qing ganging up against her. Xue Zi responded, "You're just like the old me. You don't like losing. You don't want to submit to the men. . . I hope to have one more ally." Zhou Shi realized that Wei Qing’s predictions about Xue Zi, the "cunning old fox," had all come true.

Episode 17 Recap

Zhou Shi conveyed Xue Zi's condition to Wei Qing: Xue Zi wanted Zhou Shi to transfer 10% of her Yunma shares to Xue Zi in exchange for 10% of Snow Group shares, suggesting a collaboration between Yunma and Snow Group. Zhou Shi expressed her belief that Xue Zi was not as malicious as they thought and she did not want to betray Xue Zi's trust.

Wei Qing agreed, stating he never intended to target Xue Zi but merely sought the true saboteur. If Xue Zi was not involved, he was willing to explore cooperation with Snow through Zhou Shi. Zhou Shi then asked Wei Qing to cease his public marriage proposals, explaining her family and friends were overwhelming her mother with calls and visits, eagerly anticipating a wedding. Wei Qing clarified that both offering her shares in Yunma and his marriage proposals were sincere.

He stated he was ready for them to marry anytime she agreed. Zhou Shi playfully denied wanting to marry him, but Wei Qing pressed her, asking why she had gone to the trouble of coming to him in disguise to discuss these matters in person instead of just sending a message if she truly had no feelings for him, leaving Zhou Shi momentarily speechless.

Zhou Shi now held a ten percent stake in Yunma, effectively tying her fate with Wei Qing. However, the board of directors expressed significant displeasure regarding Wei Qing's transfer of shares to Zhou Shi. Wei Qing dismissed their concerns, telling Wei An that these board members, mostly from his mother's era, were unproductive and only interested in dividends.

He intended to use this opportunity for a major management overhaul, viewing it as a test where those who failed would be dismissed, and Wei An assured him he would handle it. Unexpectedly, events took a drastic turn. Wei An began acquiring shares from other minority shareholders and secured a substantial investment from an unknown source, becoming Yunma's largest shareholder.

After the board meeting where this change was announced, Wei Qing intended to call Li Mingcheng to transfer his shares back. However, Wei An had anticipated this. Someone posing as an emissary from Wei Qing called Li Mingcheng first, informing him of Wei Qing's trouble and instructing him to transfer his shares back. Believing he was helping Wei Qing, Li Mingcheng signed the transfer document, only to later realize he had been deceived by Wei An.

During a subsequent board meeting, the change in shareholding ratios was announced. Several directors proposed replacing the chairman, and with his newly acquired majority stake, Wei An was voted into the position. Wei Qing, enraged by this betrayal from Wei An, who had served him for so many years, slapped him across the face before storming out. Later, Wei An and Xue Le celebrated their success.

Wei An expressed concern that Wei Qing might retaliate once he calmed down, particularly noting that Zhou Shi still held a significant portion of Yunma's shares. Xue Le confidently asserted that his sister, Xue Zi, would never help Wei Qing and declared their victory a certainty. He then revealed a darker motivation for Wei An's actions, warning him that if Wei Qing discovered Wei An's involvement in Wei Heng's death, Wei An would be the one to die.

Zhou Shi, worried after being unable to reach Wei Qing for an entire day, eventually received an address from him. She rushed to find him, discovering him in a secluded place. She offered to transfer her shares back to him, but Wei Qing refused. He explained that the situation was still unclear, and if she returned the shares now, it would expose their alliance.

He advised her to keep the shares, as she was a person the mastermind would want to win over. He suspected the Xue siblings were behind Wei An's betrayal, possibly acting together. By keeping her shares, Zhou Shi could wait for the culprit to make their move and uncover their true agenda.

Wei Qing added that he was still Yunma's major shareholder and they couldn't depose him yet; he was merely taking a break, and the real game would begin when he made his move. After discussing business, Wei Qing gently took Zhou Shi's hand, revealing they were in the room where they first met. He asked her to be his girlfriend again. Zhou Shi, blushing, asked him to close his eyes.

She then used sparkling lights to create a "meteor shower" and arranged props to represent the wheat field from their first encounter, recreating their initial meeting. Finally, she agreed to be his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Ning Fei exhibited unusually compliant behavior, diligently looking after Lin Feifei and staying up late with her on set. He began to recall fragments of his past, causing him distress.

He wondered if Lin Feifei's affection was tied to his former self, questioning if she would still love him if his memories never fully returned. On set, Ning Fei brought Lin Feifei herbal chicken soup, a "private exclusive" meal, but she found it too rich. When Lin Feifei accidentally injured her knee during a take, Ning Fei quickly devised a solution using multiple knee pads to protect her, staying by her side. Later, he experienced a headache.

Lin Feifei, noticing his discomfort, urged him to prioritize his health and not overexert himself by staying up late. Back home, Lin Feifei sensed his emotional turmoil and reassured him, telling him not to be burdened by the past. She emphasized that he was still Ning Fei, regardless of his memory, and wished for his happiness without any self-imposed pressure. Ning Fei then asked her if she would still like him as before if he never regained his memories.

Lin Feifei left to warm him some milk, telling him to sleep early. The next day, Wei An visited Shangjue to discuss a collaboration with Xue Le. Zhou Shi, now working at Shangjue, confronted Wei An in the meeting room, directly questioning his betrayal of Wei Qing and asking if he could sleep peacefully. Wei An defended his actions, claiming it was for Yunma's future and its need for allies, especially if Xue Le became Snow Group's successor.

He implied Zhou Shi's share transfer to Xue Zi was a similar move, differing only in their chosen sides. Zhou Shi challenged his belief that Xue Le alone could overthrow Xue Zi, but Wei An countered that with Yunma's support, it would be enough. He then outlined his proposal for Yunma and Shangjue to share resources, including artists and designers, to co-develop new products.

Zhou Shi, observing that Shangjue, being new, had limited commercial value compared to Yunma's established artists, deemed the proposal a disadvantage for Yunma and rejected it on behalf of Snow. Xue Le, who had been listening, intervened. He told Zhou Shi she couldn't represent Snow and accused her of severely damaging Shangjue's interests. Citing company regulations, he announced his intention to request her termination from the general company, though final approval would rest with his sister, Xue Zi.

He then instructed her not to return to work the following day. As Zhou Shi left, Xue Le remarked that she had much to learn and advised her to seek guidance from Wei Qing, then dismissed her to hand over her work. Wei An shook hands with Xue Le, stating he looked forward to their collaboration.

Episode 18 Recap

Xue Zi summoned Zhou Shi, informing her that Xue Le had sent an email demanding severe punishment for Zhou Shi's perceived betrayal and jeopardizing company interests. However, Xue Zi understood Zhou Shi's actions and recognized Xue Le's ambition to "show off." She instructed Zhou Shi to return to work at Snow Group, clarifying that she wouldn't view Zhou Shi as an adversary simply because she was a Yunma shareholder, a company Xue Zi also held shares in.

Zhou Shi chose to remain at Snow Group and divulged that Yunma planned to share artist copyrights with Shangjue and provide artwork for the biennial, a significant move given that copyrights were Yunma's primary bargaining chip. Zhou Shi suspected Xue Le had compromising information on Wei An, as Wei An wasn't easily bribed, but Xue Zi stated Xue Le wouldn't confide in her even if he did.

Inquiring about Wei Qing, Zhou Shi admitted he was still depressed after the betrayal. Xue Zi expressed her wish for Wei Qing to be her competitor in the future, not a "traitor," and suggested Zhou Shi spend time with him. Zhou Shi, however, preferred to keep her professional and personal lives separate, promising to encourage Wei Qing privately. Zhou Shi returned to Wei Qing's home to find him enthusiastically cleaning with new high-tech gadgets.

He jokingly proposed becoming a househusband, with her as the breadwinner, while he focused on "eating and drinking." Zhou Shi updated him on Wei An's deal with Shangjue and Xue Le's attempts to remove her from Shangjue, hinting at a looming conflict between the Xue siblings. Wei Qing, however, deflected, stating it was dinner time and not for work.

He playfully reassured her of his resilience, asserting that only she, his "barbaric woman," could ever defeat him, playfully recalling a past encounter where she "pinned him down on the ground." When Wei Qing asked her to stay the night, Zhou Shi politely declined, citing her need to settle back into her role at Snow Group, but promised to spend the upcoming weekend with him.

Later, Zhou Shi arrived at her own home to find Ning Fei also engrossed in cleaning. He pulled her aside to confess his feelings for Lin Feifei and sought her help in pursuing her. Ning Fei acknowledged everyone's desire for him to regain his memories but wondered if he would ever be accepted if his memory never returned.

He admitted his past rebelliousness but vowed to change, even offering to use his original name if it helped, but insisted on acceptance for his current self. He challenged them to look to the future, as past memories only spanned two years, while their future together could be much longer. Zhou Shi sympathized, agreeing his amnesia wasn't his fault, and admitted she could accept him.

However, she felt she couldn't decide for Lin Feifei due to their entangled past, advising Ning Fei to prove himself worthy of acceptance to everyone, especially Lin Feifei. Ning Fei, emboldened, promised to prove he was better than his past self. That night, Wei Qing video-called Zhou Shi, claiming he couldn't sleep. Despite Zhou Shi's initial annoyance about working the next day, Wei Qing asked her to keep the video on, saying her face would help him sleep.

She playfully called him a "smooth talker" and a "greasy old man" before they exchanged goodnights, with Wei Qing expressing hope for their future together. The following morning, Wei Qing delivered breakfast to Zhou Shi's home, inadvertently waking Lin Feifei and Ning Fei, who loudly expressed their annoyance. Zhou Shi quickly ushered Wei Qing into her room, chiding him for the early disturbance. Wei Qing declared his intention to drive her to work daily to spend more time together.

Zhou Shi politely declined, worrying about awkward encounters with Xue Zi and Xue Le at Shangjue, and suggested he visit Li Mingcheng, who was also currently unemployed. Wei Qing agreed after Zhou Shi persuaded him to eat. Wei Qing then arrived at Li Mingcheng's, finding him meticulously cleaning as per a "house cleaning day" schedule. Wei Qing convinced him to drop his chores and go out.

While shopping, Wei Qing revealed to Li Mingcheng that his current predicament was an elaborate "setup" from the beginning, in which Li Mingcheng was an early participant. He explained that he would not tell Zhou Shi the full plan yet, fearing it might "backfire on her" due to her association with Xue Zi at Snow Group. They then encountered Ning Fei, who was buying drinks for Lin Feifei.

Wei Qing playfully teased Ning Fei about being Lin Feifei's unpaid "full-time assistant," warning him of potential heartbreak, to which Ning Fei retorted by mocking Wei Qing's "bankrupt" status. Li Mingcheng diffused the tension by inviting everyone to dinner at his house that evening. Ning Fei initially wanted to stay with Lin Feifei but eventually joined Wei Qing and Li Mingcheng as they visited Lin Feifei on her film set.

Lin Feifei accepted Li Mingcheng's dinner invitation and told Ning Fei to go ahead to Li Mingcheng's place to help. As Wei Qing and Li Mingcheng left, they encountered Xue Le and his assistant. Xue Le engaged Wei Qing in a veiled exchange, asking for advice on Yunma and Shangjue's cooperation and receiving a warning from Wei Qing not to "annoy an opponent you can't beat."

Xue Le, however, relished the challenge, stating he liked "taking on an impossible challenge" and looked forward to seeing Wei Qing's "next moves." During this encounter, Ning Fei recognized Xue Le’s assistant as the person who had pushed him down the stairs, and Li Mingcheng urged him to report it to the police. That evening, Xue Le visited Lin Feifei's film set and invited the entire crew to dinner to ensure Lin Feifei would attend.

At Li Mingcheng's home, Wei Qing and Ning Fei bickered while preparing dinner, resulting in garlic accidentally flying into Wei Qing's eyes. Bi Qiujing, upon returning, sympathized with Li Mingcheng for having to cook and "take care of these two kids." Lin Feifei called to say she couldn't make it due to the crew gathering organized by Xue Le, which upset Ning Fei.

Li Mingcheng later confided in Bi Qiujing that he was looking for a job, as Wei Qing seemed "negative" but had even sent him an interview opportunity. Bi Qiujing, finding this message, realized Wei Qing had a deeper plan. Zhou Shi and Bi Qiujing discussed Ning Fei's growing feelings for Lin Feifei, noting his earlier confession to Zhou Shi and his disappointment that Lin Feifei hadn't joined them.

Bi Qiujing expressed concern about Ning Fei's unrecovered memory, as he refused hypnotherapy, but also observed a developing closeness between him and Lin Feifei. Later, Wei Qing drove Zhou Shi home. They encountered Xue Le dropping off Lin Feifei. Xue Le professed his ambition to defeat Xue Zi and take over Snow Group, promising to stand up for Lin Feifei. Lin Feifei rejected this, stating she simply "doesn't like her" and doesn't need his intervention.

Xue Le then directly confessed his affection for Lin Feifei, asking her not to dislike him. Seeing Wei Qing and Zhou Shi, Xue Le congratulated them on their reconciliation, taking credit for Wei Qing's "long rest" and mocking his idleness. Zhou Shi retorted that Wei Qing would soon reclaim his rightful place, and if Xue Le needed an opponent, she was ready.

Back home, Ning Fei offered Lin Feifei fish soup he had personally prepared, having remembered her casual comment about liking it. Lin Feifei, tasting the bitter soup (due to the unremoved gallbladder), forced herself to compliment it to avoid hurting his feelings, then secretly spat it out after he left. Zhou Shi, noticing, shared Ning Fei's confession with Lin Feifei and asked about her true feelings.

Lin Feifei admitted her confusion, unsure if her affection for the current Ning Fei was genuine or merely a "projection" of her past feelings for Ning Fei. She still harbored hope for his memories to return, adding that while Xue Le was pursuing her, she found him "full of schemes" and preferred to keep him at a distance until her project was finished.

She lamented her complicated love life, having once hoped to marry a rich man, then falling for the "ungrateful cat," only for him to suffer amnesia. Unaware of Wei Qing's elaborate scheme, Zhou Shi grew concerned by his prolonged idleness, interpreting it as genuine depression. When she met with Xue Zi, Zhou Shi described Wei Qing as "semi-retired" and absorbed in "chilling and shopping like crazy," which Xue Zi found uncharacteristic.

Xue Zi stressed that Zhou Shi was the only one who could help him, prompting Zhou Shi to vow to find a way. Confronting Wei Qing at home, where he was absorbed in a new game, Zhou Shi reminded him of his past resilience in overcoming defeats and questioned why he appeared to have "given up."

Wei Qing confessed his exhaustion, explaining that after his father's death, his life was solely dedicated to Yunma, leading to estrangement from his mother and isolation. He cherished the period when Zhou Shi was in his life, as it offered him a life beyond work. Now, with her back, he was weary of work discussions and simply wanted to live for himself and for her, "not burdened by Yunma."

Zhou Shi challenged him, asking if he truly intended to surrender his "hard work" to others. Determined to rekindle his spirit, Zhou Shi, with the help of Lin Feifei and Bi Qiujing, orchestrated a romantic proposal scene in his home. When Wei Qing returned, he was surprised by the setup. As Zhou Shi called out to him, he accidentally slipped and fell into a pool, and she tumbled in while trying to help him.

Wei Qing playfully remarked on their "affinity with water," to which Zhou Shi reminded him that their "first formal kiss" had also occurred in a pool, surrounded by candles. As they reminisced, their emotions reignited. Wei Qing teased her, playfully recalling her past compliments, including her being "strong," "cowardly and stubborn," and only truly herself after "getting drunk." Zhou Shi lightly hit him.

He then corrected himself, remembering her words: "despite all my shortcomings, there will be someone in this world who likes me, who likes the real me." Zhou Shi then affirmed his earlier sentiment, telling him he didn't need to be "the best version of yourself" but simply "the real you." Expressing his gratitude, Wei Qing thanked her for letting him be himself.

Zhou Shi, in turn, declared her unwavering love and commitment: "no matter how many shortcomings you have, no matter what troubles you face, I will love you, love the real you. I'm willing to stay by your side forever. Through thick and thin." She then presented him with an engagement ring, proposing, "Wei Qing, will you marry me?"

Episode 19 Recap

Zhou Shi, in an effort to encourage Wei Qing, bravely took out a ring and proposed marriage to him. However, Wei Qing responded by saying he couldn't accept her proposal at that moment. Zhou Shi, perplexed, reiterated her unwavering support, assuring him she would help him rise again. But Wei Qing only stated that it was not the right time for marriage and questioned what would happen if he couldn't rebuild his empire.

He expressed that while having Zhou Shi with him was enough to make him happy, marriage at this time was not. Feeling disheartened, Zhou Shi returned to Lin Feifei's home and shared what had happened. Lin Feifei was astonished by Wei Qing's rejection and pressed Zhou Shi for details.

After listening, Lin Feifei analyzed the situation, concluding that Wei Qing feared he wouldn't be able to reclaim Yunma, the company he built and lost due to betrayal, and would thus become a burden to Zhou Shi. She pointed out that Wei Qing's calm demeanor and easygoing attitude, like playing games, were merely a facade.

Lin Feifei compared him to a talented commander, Frank, who survived countless battles only to be broken by an accident, warning that the more normal Wei Qing seemed, the more worrisome his state truly was. Taking Lin Feifei's words to heart, Zhou Shi visited Wei Qing the following day, intending to keep him company. Wei Qing, in need of lunch, was attempting to cut fruit with a small knife as his housekeeper was on leave. He accidentally cut his hand.

Embarrassed that Zhou Shi might discover his lack of basic skills, he discreetly retreated to the bathroom to tend to the wound. However, Zhou Shi soon noticed the small knife and traces of fresh blood. Zhou Shi, recalling Lin Feifei’s analysis, instantly became anxious, fearing that Wei Qing might indeed be harboring suicidal thoughts. To cheer him up, Zhou Shi suggested they throw a party at his house. Wei Qing agreed, stating he was happy as long as she was.

Zhou Shi then assigned tasks to her friends: Lin Feifei and Ning Fei were to create a lively atmosphere, Li Mingcheng was to monitor Wei Qing's emotional changes, and Bi Qiujing, being the most rational, was to provide one-on-one life advice to Wei Qing after the atmosphere was set.

Both Li Mingcheng and Bi Qiujing felt Zhou Shi was overreacting and believed Wei Qing was fine, but Zhou Shi's concern was so profound that she insisted on proceeding with the plan. When the party was in full swing, all friends engaged in games. Bi Qiujing prepared to speak with Wei Qing on the balcony, but was suddenly overcome by nausea and rushed to the bathroom.

Li Mingcheng, concerned, noted that she had also vomited that morning and often felt dizzy, though she dismissed it as temporary. Zhou Shi and Lin Feifei exchanged knowing glances, immediately suspecting Bi Qiujing might be pregnant. Bi Qiujing then used a pregnancy test, and upon seeing the positive result, Zhou Shi was ecstatic, declaring she would be the godmother. A playful argument ensued over who would be the godparent.

Bi Qiujing ultimately chose Zhou Shi as the godmother, citing Zhou Shi's excellent cooking skills as the deciding factor. For caution, Bi Qiujing, a rational person, decided to postpone her official hospital blood test until another day due to the weekend crowds and concerns about respiratory infections. Later, as Wei Qing drove Zhou Shi home, Zhou Shi remained immersed in the joy of becoming a godmother, excitedly wondering about the baby's gender and name.

Wei Qing jokingly suggested she have a child of her own since she loved kids so much. Zhou Shi retorted that she couldn't have children without getting married, and reminded him that he hadn't accepted her proposal. Wei Qing was momentarily speechless, then clarified that it wasn't that he didn't want to marry her, but simply felt the timing wasn't right.

He observed Zhou Shi's unusual behavior throughout the day—her attempts to cook with him, her constant inquiries about his happiness—and realized she was deeply concerned about him. He cunningly played on her fears, deliberately feigning vulnerability by saying that after he dropped her off, he would be alone again, lose his drive, and start overthinking things at night. He then subtly suggested that if she stayed by his side, he wouldn't entertain any dark thoughts.

Alarmed by his words, Zhou Shi decided to move out of Lin Feifei's house and into Wei Qing's. Upon hearing that both Bi Qiujing and Zhou Shi had moved out, Ning Fei eagerly requested to sleep in one of the vacant rooms, a request Lin Feifei granted for the time being. Meanwhile, back at home, Bi Qiujing attempted to retrieve Li Mingcheng’s guitar from a high shelf. Li Mingcheng quickly helped her down, reminding her to be careful.

Bi Qiujing then confessed her lingering unresolved feelings, explaining that she wanted to put some things behind her before fully embracing motherhood. She directly asked Li Mingcheng whether she or Rachel was the "cause" and "effect" in his heart regarding his past.

Li Mingcheng apologized for not explaining sooner, clarifying that he was indeed initially attracted to Rachel's name during her interview because it was similar to Bi Qiujing's, as he wanted to see what someone with her name was like. However, he later realized Rachel did not meet his expectations. He affirmed that the guitar represented his youth, but Bi Qiujing was not merely a part of his past.

He clarified that the only Bi Qiujing that truly mattered in his heart was the one he intended to spend his entire life with, assuring her that she was both the "cause" and "effect" of everything in his life. Still worried about Wei Qing, Zhou Shi, after a work meeting where her phone rang many times, called him. Wei Qing expressed he missed her and had lost his appetite, though Zhou Shi had prepared lunch for him.

After hanging up, Zhou Shi, unable to shake her worry, called Li Mingcheng and asked him to visit Wei Qing. Wei Qing, feeling bored, requested Li Mingcheng to teach him how to cook so he could prepare meals for Zhou Shi. He appointed Li Mingcheng's daily cooking lessons as his new job. Despite his efforts, his culinary skills proved limited, and he only managed to make a pot of soup, with Li Mingcheng supervising the other dishes.

Just as the meal was ready, Zhou Shi called to say she had to work overtime and wouldn't be home for dinner. Wei Qing, though disappointed, decided to wait for her. At Lin Feifei's place, where only Ning Fei remained, Lin Feifei returned from filming, exhausted, and decided to unwind with some alcohol. Ning Fei joined her, even stepping out to buy snacks.

As Lin Feifei became intoxicated, she tearfully expressed her fear that Ning Fei would never remember her and their shared memories, which she described as a "coffin" she couldn't escape from. She also lamented the fear that he would never truly remember her. Ning Fei, visibly upset, declared his love for her. During their emotional exchange, Lin Feifei pushed him away. He lost his balance, fell, and hit his head.

The impact triggered a surge of fragmented memories in Ning Fei's mind, specifically recalling a past incident where Zhou Shi was attacked. Realizing that Ning Fei was beginning to recover his memories, Lin Feifei joyfully embraced him, asking if he was truly Ning Fei. He responded by asking if they could get married once he was of age. Later that night, Zhou Shi finally arrived home to Wei Qing's house, but remained preoccupied with work, answering calls and handling business.

Wei Qing, feeling neglected, deliberately gave her the silent treatment. Concerned about his emotional state, Zhou Shi went to great lengths to appease him, praising his soup, which she initially thought was takeout. When he still didn't respond and retreated to his room, Zhou Shi followed. She apologized for being preoccupied with work and failing to consider his feelings.

When he remained silent, she resorted to various tactics: first, fabricating a fear of thunderstorms, then claiming she had accidentally wet her bedsheet, all to convince him to let her share his bed. Wei Qing, though secretly pleased, feigned refusal, emphasizing "boundaries." Zhou Shi eventually gave up and drifted to sleep in her own room.

Shortly after, Zhou Shi was jolted awake by a nightmare in which Wei Qing was contemplating suicide, saying there was nothing left for him in this world. She woke up in a panic, saw his side of the bed empty, and found him standing silently on the balcony, terrifying her even more.

Episode 20 Recap

Waking from a nightmare where Wei Qing was about to jump, Zhou Shi rushed to the balcony and embraced him tightly, believing he intended to harm himself. Wei Qing, surprised, asked her what she was doing. She retorted, demanding to know why he, a grown man, would choose suicide over facing difficulties. He clarified that he merely came out for fresh air because he couldn't sleep.

She realized they were only on the second floor, but still questioned his late-night stroll. He then complained that her snoring was too loud, preventing him from sleeping. Zhou Shi, embarrassed, pulled him back into the room. As she kept a watchful eye on him, he asked if she planned to stare at him all night. When she got up for water, he followed, asking if she was worried about him.

He assured her he was not weak and wouldn't easily give up, adding that if he died, there would be no one to protect her from bullies or comfort her when she cried. Zhou Shi playfully responded that only he dared to bully her. Wei Qing then promised to grow old with her, calling her the only "old lady" he needed, to which she affectionately called him a "smooth-talker" before urging him to get water so she could sleep.

After a romantic night, Lin Feifei prepared breakfast for Ning Fei, who, referring to himself as Xue Ning, declared he would be responsible for his actions toward her. Startled, Lin Feifei wondered if his memory recovery the previous night was just a drunken illusion. She tried to convince herself that even without his old memories, he was still Ning Fei, and whatever happened between them was acceptable.

Later, as Ning Fei happily recalled parts of their intimate night to a less enthusiastic Lin Feifei, the doorbell rang. Xue Le arrived, hoping to speak with Lin Feifei. Ning Fei, blocking the entrance, asserted himself as the "man of the house" and Lin Feifei's boyfriend, much to Xue Le's annoyance. Lin Feifei pulled Xue Le aside, who then asked if she disliked him because of Xue Zi.

Lin Feifei denied it, admitting that her distance was due to Ning Fei, whom she then publicly acknowledged as her boyfriend. Ning Fei beamed triumphantly. Xue Le, defeated, wished them the best and left. Lin Feifei then lamented that she had probably lost her chance at a leading role in a production. Ning Fei, still relishing her public declaration, insisted he was her boyfriend despite her protests that it was only to get rid of Xue Le.

Wei Qing and Li Mingcheng reviewed their progress, noting that most shareholders had signed on, with only one major shareholder remaining, who requested a face-to-face meeting. Wei Qing agreed and tasked Li Mingcheng with arrangements. Li Mingcheng then questioned why Wei Qing was keeping his plan from Zhou Shi, reminding him of her recent worries, even thinking he would do something foolish.

Wei Qing believed Zhou Shi's ignorance would protect her from being exploited by Xue Zi, promising to explain everything once the matter was resolved. Shifting to personal matters, Wei Qing asked Li Mingcheng to teach him a new dish, inspired by Zhou Shi's enjoyment of his previous soup. Li Mingcheng opted for a simple stir-fried tomatoes and eggs.

Wei Qing even started a live stream to document his cooking attempts, which proved to be quite clumsy, almost setting the kitchen on fire, as Lin Feifei alerted Zhou Shi by phone. Observing Wei Qing's public antics, Xue Le was lulled into a false sense of security, believing Wei Qing had truly abandoned Yunma to become an internet celebrity.

Confident he was now Yunma's de facto controller through Wei An and secretly siphoning off its assets, Xue Le boasted to Xue Zi on her birthday that he had won his competition against Wei Qing, presenting her with a painting titled "a dove occupying a magpie's nest," symbolizing his perceived victory. Zhou Shi, returning home and seeing Wei Qing's minor burns from his culinary exploits, informed him of Xue Le's schemes.

Wei Qing remained calm, assuring her that Xue Le was merely a praying mantis, unaware of the lurking oriole, and promised to make him repay double whatever he had taken. Believing that alcohol might trigger Ning Fei's memories, Lin Feifei intentionally encouraged him to drink more during dinner. Realizing her motive, Ning Fei defiantly took a crate of beer and locked himself in his room. Lin Feifei later found him unconscious from alcohol poisoning and rushed him to the hospital.

While he was comatose, fragments of his past memories, including those of Ning Fei, clashed with his current self. He resisted these memories fiercely. When he regained consciousness and overheard Lin Feifei, Zhou Shi, and Li Mingcheng discussing his memory recovery outside his hospital room (including the fact that his memory was recovering due to stopping medication, not alcohol, and their worry about his current self being lost), he fled.

Lin Feifei, distraught and regretting her actions, blamed herself for forcing him to remember. As she frantically searched for him, Ning Fei, having nowhere else to go, returned to Xue Zi's home. Xue Zi was relieved and happy to see him, assuring him that regardless of his memory, he was her beloved and only brother, and they would always be family. During the search, Bi Qiujing suddenly felt dizzy. Li Mingcheng quickly called for a nurse.

Fortunately, she was only suffering from low blood sugar, but the doctor also revealed that Bi Qiujing was not pregnant, which left both her and Li Mingcheng feeling a pang of disappointment, realizing their initial joy had been a false alarm. Xue Le grew agitated when the expected funds from Yunma failed to arrive. He furiously demanded to know the reason for the delay, asserting that it was time to reap the rewards of their scheme.

His investigation suggested Wei An was involved in the hold-up. When Xue Le confronted Wei An, threatening to expose his past misdeeds if he didn't comply, Wei An remained surprisingly composed. Wei An accused Xue Le of violating their original agreement, which was to use Yunma's strength to help Xue Le acquire Snow; instead, Xue Le now intended to seize Yunma for himself.

Xue Le, acknowledging his growing ambition, retorted that "Just as the river looks for the sea, humans seek to go higher," and that Snow was no longer enough for him. Wei An warned him not to bite off more than he could chew, calling him despicable and questioning why the Xue family chose to give their inheritance to an adopted daughter, Xue Zi, rather than their own son.

Xue Le, unmoved, threatened to expose Wei An’s secrets to the shareholders, warning that a "tainted person" like Wei An would not be believed, and advising him to cooperate if he wanted to be "spared some grub." At this critical moment, Wei Qing appeared, declaring, "There's no need for everyone to believe him. So long as I do."

Episode 21 Recap

Xue Le was startled by Wei Qing's sudden arrival, but Wei An calmly rose to offer Wei Qing his seat. Xue Le then threatened Wei An, asserting that no one would believe a man with his past. He claimed that if he exposed Wei An's dirty secrets, the Yunma shareholders would remove Wei Qing from management. Wei Qing, however, confidently stated that his belief in Wei An was all that mattered.

A flashback revealed that twelve years prior, Wei An had worked as a security guard for Wei Qing's father, Wei Heng, while secretly planning to steal a valuable painting. Wei Heng, unaware of Wei An's intentions, commended his eye for art, noting the painting's 20-million-dollar value. Before returning home, Wei Heng gave Wei An a significant sum of money, encouraging him to pursue artistic studies and not waste his talent. Wei An was touched by the gesture.

Shortly after, Wei An received a call from his thieving gang, who had moved up their plan to rob Wei Heng's home, despite Wei An's insistence on waiting until Wei Heng had left. The gang dismissed his concerns, saying a 20-million-dollar painting was worth robbing, even if Wei Heng was present. Wei An rushed to the scene but found Wei Heng gravely wounded. Wei An, in distress, called the police and turned himself in.

When talking to Wei Qing later, Wei An explained that Wei Heng had given him 10,000 US dollars, but after the tragedy, he felt it was wrong to keep the money, stating he didn't have the face to keep it anymore. Following his release from prison years later, Wei An paid his respects to Wei Heng and then sought out Wei Qing to atone.

Wei Qing, having been informed by the police about Wei An's past as a struggling artist who joined the gang out of desperation, offered him a chance at redemption. He instructed Wei An to manage Wei Heng's art gallery, telling him it was the best way to make amends for owing his father a life. Wei An promised not to disappoint him.

In the present, Xue Le's extensive background check on Wei An, which uncovered his criminal record, was no secret to Wei Qing. After Wei An reported Xue Le's attempts at blackmail, Wei Qing directed him to play along and act as an undercover agent to expose Xue Le's true motives. Wei An confidently assured Wei Qing he would excel in his role. When the charade concluded, Wei Qing praised Wei An's convincing performance.

He then turned to a crestfallen Xue Le, mocking his disappointing ambition to simply seize Yunma's resources. Xue Le, still attempting to hold his ground, boasted that most of Yunma's assets had already been transferred to Shangjue. Wei Qing, however, chuckled and presented several contracts, revealing that he had acquired shares from other Shangjue stakeholders, thereby making him Shangjue's largest shareholder and future chairman. Wei Qing further advised Xue Le not to pick the wrong opponent.

A shocked Xue Le called Kevin, his assistant, who confirmed that Wei An and Wei Qing had indeed acquired all of his shares, leaving him pale and defeated. With his plans against Xue Le complete, Wei Qing decided it was time to confess everything to Zhou Shi. Bi Qiujing warned Wei Qing to be careful, as she foresaw Zhou Shi's anger due to his concealment.

Wei Qing then rushed home to prepare a romantic setting for a marriage proposal, intending to pop the question before revealing the truth. However, just as he was about to propose, Zhou Shi received a call from Xue Zi. Xue Zi informed Zhou Shi that Wei Qing and Wei An had orchestrated a deceptive plan to merge Shangjue, and instructed her to go to Yunma the next day for the share transfer.

Zhou Shi, feeling used and furious at Wei Qing's deception, questioned if he saw her as a fool or a spy. She accused him of never considering her feelings and of not trusting her. Despite Wei Qing's earnest attempts to explain that his secrecy was for her safety, Zhou Shi refused to accept his apology, stating that if he couldn't be honest, there was no point in discussing marriage.

She then stormed out of his house, leaving the unaccepted proposal behind. The following day, Zhou Shi arrived at Yunma to handle the share transfer. Li Mingcheng tried to defend Wei Qing, explaining that he too had only recently been informed of the plan and that Wei Qing's secrecy was meant to protect Zhou Shi from the dangers of corporate espionage.

However, Zhou Shi was still deeply hurt, clarifying that while she understood the need for secrecy, she merely wished to know that Wei Qing had a plan and didn't need her constant worry, rather than being kept in the dark and feeling like a pawn in his elaborate scheme. She contrasted her feelings with Bi Qiujing, whom Li Mingcheng had praised for her "bigger picture" perspective.

Zhou Shi admitted her "narrow-mindedness," stemming from daily nightmares and constant worry about Wei Qing's safety. Later that evening, Zhou Shi, Lin Feifei, and Bi Qiujing gathered for a girls' night. As they drank, Zhou Shi and Lin Feifei aired their grievances about Wei Qing and Ning Fei, respectively. Lin Feifei recounted how Shangjue's acquisition had led to the halt of her drama's funding and Ning Fei's disappearance, leaving her devastated by both career and romantic setbacks.

Wei Qing, who had arrived at Lin Feifei's apartment building with Li Mingcheng to pick up Zhou Shi, coerced Li Mingcheng into joining him upstairs to face the women, citing "sink or swim together" or "permanent termination." Inside, they found Zhou Shi and Lin Feifei tipsily complaining about their partners. Zhou Shi vehemently criticized Wei Qing for always making decisions for her and pretending to understand her.

Wei Qing apologized once more, acknowledging his mistakes and promising to change, urging her to come home. Zhou Shi, still emotional, eventually agreed. Wei Qing then gently carried a tearful Zhou Shi home. The next morning, Zhou Shi woke to find Wei Qing had already left for work, but he had prepared breakfast and left a note apologizing for the "crooked" sandwiches. Despite her lingering anger, Zhou Shi felt a softening in her heart from his gesture.

Before her meeting with Xue Zi, Zhou Shi unexpectedly encountered Ning Fei, who claimed to have regained his memory. Zhou Shi quickly called Xue Zi, making an excuse that she had accidentally missed signing a Shangjue transfer agreement and would deliver it the next morning, thus postponing their meeting. She then brought Ning Fei back to Lin Feifei's house. On the way, Zhou Shi thoroughly questioned Ning Fei, confirming his memory return.

Lin Feifei was overcome with joy, embracing Ning Fei and shedding tears of happiness. That night, she drank coffee to stay awake, terrified that Ning Fei would forget her again if she fell asleep. Ning Fei comforted her, promising he would never leave again, and they eventually drifted off to sleep. However, when Lin Feifei awoke, Ning Fei was gone. Unbeknownst to Zhou Shi and Lin Feifei, Ning Fei had returned to Xue Zi.

He was conspiring with Xue Zi, having faked his memory recovery to deceive his friends. Xue Zi, ensuring their secret was safe, confidently told Ning Fei that no one would find out.

Episode 22 Recap

Lin Feifei was anxious while waiting at Snow, concerned about what Xue Zi might do to Ning Fei. Zhou Shi reassured her that Xue Zi was unaware of Ning Fei's true identity as Xue Ning, so she wouldn't be suspicious. When Ning Fei emerged, he held Lin Feifei's hand, and Xue Zi declared that she would no longer interfere with their relationship, wishing them happiness.

Xue Zi then informed Zhou Shi that she had retracted the copyright for Ning Fei's artwork, asking if Zhou Shi was upset. Zhou Shi replied that she had never considered the copyright her own, merely holding it temporarily, and believed its value would be better realized under the company's management. She expressed her satisfaction that Snow had signed such a talented artist.

As they were leaving, Ning Fei subtly checked with Zhou Shi to ensure Xue Zi hadn't discovered their secret, confirming they should proceed with their original plan. He then told Lin Feifei and others to go home. Later, Zhou Shi revealed to Lin Feifei that she was looking for a new place to live, intending to move out of Wei Qing's residence. Lin Feifei recalled a previous drinking session and assumed Zhou Shi and Wei Qing had made up.

Zhou Shi clarified that she understood Wei Qing's intention to protect her by keeping secrets, but she was tired of his pattern of making mistakes and then apologizing. This time, she resolved not to forgive him immediately, hoping he would learn a valuable lesson. Ning Fei jokingly sympathized with Wei Qing, but Zhou Shi sternly warned him against siding with anyone.

Lin Feifei then extended an invitation for Zhou Shi to move back in with her and Ning Fei, promising that Zhou Shi's cooking would save them from daily takeout. Ning Fei also expressed his desire for Zhou Shi's home-cooked meals. Zhou Shi agreed, promising to see them later that night. Zhou Shi returned home and began packing, intending to inform Wei Qing of her departure upon his return. However, Wei Qing was late.

She eventually spotted him pacing in the garden below and called him on the phone. He claimed to be working at the office, but she confronted him about being in the garden. When he finally came upstairs, he admitted he was afraid to enter, thinking she was still angry and would be annoyed by his presence. Zhou Shi, frustrated, informed him of her plan to move into Lin Feifei's studio. To her surprise, Wei Qing didn't try to stop her.

Instead, he started meticulously packing her favorite kitchen knives, the robot vacuum, her bed, humidifier, and even a potted plant, insisting she take everything that made her comfortable to ensure she wouldn't be inconvenienced in a new place. Seeing his earnest concern, Zhou Shi's resolve softened. She agreed to stay, but only for a ten-day "observation period," contingent on his behavior. Wei Qing immediately accepted. They then drafted a "Good Roommate Agreement."

The first clause stipulated that they would be business rivals during work hours but roommates during their free time, with no excessive physical contact. The second clause required mutual respect for personal wishes in both work and life, allowing for suggestions but forbidding interference. When Wei Qing attempted to amend a clause, Zhou Shi firmly stated that only she could make changes.

Wei Qing then voluntarily added a third clause, giving Zhou Shi the right to supervise him in correcting all his previously complained-about flaws until she was satisfied, with no objections from him. He expressed a desire for the notebook, which listed his flaws, to one day contain only his good points. With all clauses agreed upon, Zhou Shi, whom Wei Qing referred to as "Dear Party A," sealed the agreement with her fingerprint.

The agreement now in effect, Zhou Shi's first command was for Wei Qing to unpack all her luggage, to which he readily agreed. The following morning, Wei Qing had already prepared breakfast. Zhou Shi woke to find the table set and complimented his much-improved cooking. Seizing the opportunity, Wei Qing produced a "Satisfaction Survey" form and an ink pad.

He proposed that every time he pleased her, she should give him a stamp, and after collecting ten stamps, he would receive a reward of her choosing. Zhou Shi found the idea childish, comparing it to a kindergarten activity for good behavior, and initially refused. However, Wei Qing's persistent pleas for "encouragement" eventually won her over, and she gave him the first stamp. At work, Zhou Shi was taken aback to see Master Wu at Snow for a new collaboration.

Even more surprising was that Xue Zi had assigned Pei to handle the project without informing Zhou Shi. Puzzled, Zhou Shi approached Pei, who confirmed the exhibition plans and Xue Zi's directive. Zhou Shi then sought out Master Wu directly in the meeting room, questioning his decision to partner with Snow given that Shangjue, a Snow subsidiary, had sabotaged the previous Art Biennial.

Master Wu remained unforthcoming, merely stating that Xue Zi's terms were "irresistible" and that the details didn't concern Zhou Shi before excusing himself. Undeterred, Zhou Shi proceeded to Xue Zi's office. Xue Zi explained that she had been trying to mend relations with Master Wu after the biennial incident but chose not to involve Zhou Shi to avoid burdening her during Wei Qing's difficult period.

Zhou Shi, reaffirming her professionalism, stated that her relationship with Wei Qing would not impact her work and even offered to relinquish her Snow shares if Xue Zi harbored any doubts. Xue Zi dismissed her concerns, highlighting their shared interest in Yunma and assuring Zhou Shi that she simply wanted to spare her potential awkwardness given Master Wu's preference. Xue Zi then instructed Zhou Shi to mentor the inexperienced Pei on the project, which Zhou Shi accepted.

Returning home, Zhou Shi was visibly distressed, accidentally spilling her drink. She confided in Wei Qing about her dilemma: the partnership between Xue Zi and Master Wu was a trade secret she couldn't disclose, yet she was worried about Snow potentially overpowering Yunma. Wei Qing, sensing her unspoken concerns, revealed that Yunma was also planning an exhibition to directly compete with Snow.

Zhou Shi expressed doubts about Yunma having artworks strong enough to rival Master Wu's, regretting that she had transferred Ning Fei's copyright to Xue Zi. Wei Qing then led her to unveil his "secret weapon"—a collection of paintings by the legendary artist Shan He. Zhou Shi instantly recognized their immense value, noting that Shan He was a celebrated figure in the art world, whose works were rare and commanded millions.

Wei Qing explained that Shan He, whose real name was Ning Yuanhao, was his father's close friend and Ning Fei's biological father. Before his death, Ning Yuanhao had entrusted all his works to Wei Qing's father. Zhou Shi, surprised by this revelation, questioned why she had never been told. Wei Qing replied that he had mentioned it multiple times, and moreover, Zhou Shi was good friends with Ning Yuanhao's son, Ning Fei.

He further explained that his father's last wish was for the paintings to be returned to Ning Fei, but Ning Fei himself had suggested they remain in Wei Qing's care. Intriguingly, it was Ning Fei who had informed Wei Qing about Snow's collaboration with Master Wu and had even suggested using his father's works for Yunma's counter-exhibition. Wei Qing saw this as a perfect opportunity to fulfill his long-held desire to host an exhibition for Ning Yuanhao.

Concerned, Zhou Shi later spoke with Ning Fei on the phone, questioning why he had agreed to Wei Qing using his father's paintings for the exhibition. Ning Fei reassured her, stating he had his own plan and that everything was under control, urging her to trust him. Lin Feifei's acting career hit a snag when the drama Xue Le invested in was halted due to financial issues. Despite numerous auditions, she kept facing rejections.

One potential role, a special arrangement, required a naked back bath scene and two forced perspective intimate scenes, which made her hesitate. Back home, she was annoyed to find Xue Le waiting for her. She politely but firmly told him that their professional relationship was over, and she no longer needed his involvement in her career, asking him to leave her alone. As Xue Le tried to persist, Ning Fei suddenly appeared, confronting Xue Le and defending Lin Feifei.

When Xue Le addressed him as Xue Ning, Ning Fei corrected him, firmly stating his name was Ning Fei. A surprised Xue Le asked if he had recovered. Lin Feifei then introduced Ning Fei as her boyfriend to Xue Le, thanking Xue Le for his past assistance but declaring there was no need for them to meet again. Ning Fei then carried the sprained Lin Feifei home.

Unbeknownst to Lin Feifei, Xue Le later reported to Xue Zi by phone that Wei Qing and his group had not discovered Ning Fei's deception, implying his reluctance to continue such tasks. At home, while Ning Fei massaged her sprained ankle, Lin Feifei discussed the challenging role and its "racy" scenes. Ning Fei initially opposed, citing her status as his girlfriend.

However, Lin Feifei passionately argued that she had learned from Xue Le's situation not to depend on others for her career. She insisted on earning roles through her own ability, believing that true skill was the only thing that wouldn't betray her. Ning Fei ultimately relented, on the condition that the intimate scenes were strictly "forced perspective" and that he could be present during filming, to which Lin Feifei happily agreed.

After this, Ning Fei bid Lin Feifei goodbye and left, telling her it was up to her now, and once this final act was finished, they could be together forever. Yunma swiftly organized the art exhibition. On the opening day, Zhou Shi presented Wei Qing with a congratulatory gift from Xue Zi, who was not yet present.

As Wei Qing exchanged pleasantries with Zhou Shi, calling her "darling" before tending to other guests, Lin Feifei arrived with Li Mingcheng and Bi Qiujing. Wei Qing noticed Ning Fei's absence. As Wei Qing began his opening speech, honoring Shan He—his father's dear friend—and expressing his desire to fulfill his father's wish by hosting the exhibition, Xue Zi dramatically interrupted.

She publicly accused Wei Heng and Wei Qing of illegally possessing Ning Yuanhao's artworks, questioning if such "larceny" was Wei Heng's true dying wish. Wei Qing, bewildered, denied the accusations. Xue Zi then revealed that Shan He was indeed Ning Yuanhao, Mr. Wei Heng's trusted friend, who had entrusted his works to Wei Heng for management. However, Xue Zi claimed that Wei Heng had secretly re-signed them as his own, usurping the glory and wealth.

She asserted that she possessed Ning Yuanhao's personal diary, which detailed Wei Heng's deception, and threatened to make its contents public if necessary. She further stated that after Ning Yuanhao's death, his artworks rightfully belonged to his son, Ning Fei, yet Wei Qing had unlawfully seized them. Wei Qing countered, asserting that Ning Fei had personally entrusted him with the artworks and authorized the exhibition, urging Ning Fei to confirm.

To everyone's shock, Ning Fei instead sided with Xue Zi, declaring that he had only discovered his father's works were with Wei Qing because of the exhibition. He then accused Wei Qing of years of unlawful possession and demanded the return of his father's art. An observer murmured that Ning Fei was actually Xue Ning. Realizing Xue Zi and Ning Fei had come prepared, Wei Qing's team advised him to avoid direct confrontation amidst the reporters.

Wei Qing apologized to the guests, announced the temporary suspension of the exhibition, and promised a thorough investigation and a full explanation to the public. Inside, Xue Zi taunted Wei Qing, explaining that her elaborate scheme was designed to force him to reveal the paintings, accusing him of underestimating her. She dismissed his claims of safeguarding the artworks and asserted that he only wanted to ruin Yunma. Suddenly, an enraged Lin Feifei burst in, confronting Ning Fei.

She accused him of being a liar, of never truly recovering his memory, and of using her as a pawn in his pursuit of the paintings. Ning Fei, maintaining his act, brazenly admitted to everything, declaring himself as Ning Fei and vowing to reclaim all that was his. In a fit of anger, Lin Feifei slapped him across the face, calling him a "jerk" and insisting he didn't deserve Ning Fei's name.

Zhou Shi had to calm her down, mindful of the media presence. With the dramatic scene concluded, Xue Zi issued an ultimatum to Wei Qing: return the copyright within two days, or they would take the matter to court. After sending a seemingly distraught Lin Feifei away with Bi Qiujing for comfort, Zhou Shi and Lin Feifei (now in a private conversation with Bi Qiujing) immediately dropped their act.

Lin Feifei asked how her performance was, proudly stating it was an exercise in "true listening, true seeing, true feeling." Zhou Shi acknowledged her concerns about the media impact on Yunma but explained it was a crucial step for Xue Zi to fully trust Ning Fei, allowing him to get close to the hidden diary. She expressed confidence that finding the diary would ultimately clear Wei Qing's name.

It was revealed that this elaborate confrontation was a "plan within a plan." Ning Fei had, in fact, genuinely recovered his memory and had sought help from Zhou Shi and Lin Feifei. His strategy involved feigning amnesia in front of Xue Zi and pretending to follow her instructions to deceive Wei Qing and reclaim the artworks' copyright.

His true motive was to gain Xue Zi's complete trust and seize the opportunity to retrieve his father's diary, which contained information damaging to Wei Qing and was currently in Xue Zi's possession. Ning Fei had indeed told Lin Feifei about the plan.

Despite knowing the truth, Zhou Shi, Lin Feifei, and Bi Qiujing decided to keep Wei Qing in the dark about Ning Fei's true intentions, believing it was time for him to experience the feeling of being deceived, just as they had. Meanwhile, Wei Qing and Li Mingcheng grappled with the unfolding crisis. Wei Qing was perplexed by the diary's existence, questioning its authenticity, but concluded that Xue Zi wouldn't have produced it if it were fake.

He recognized it as a "ticking time bomb" that could devastate Yunma, especially with Ning Fei seemingly under Xue Zi's control. Zhou Shi, feigning ignorance of Ning Fei's real plan, suggested a way out: proving that "this Ning Fei" was an imposter.

Episode 23 Recap

Zhou Shi and Wei Qing sought Dr. Chen's help to prove that Ning Fei had not yet recovered his memories, which would invalidate the documents he had signed. Dr. Chen explained that a court-ordered psychiatric evaluation would be a complicated process and potentially harmful to Ning Fei's career. He suggested that if they could bring Ning Fei to his clinic, he could perform a diagnosis and create a new treatment record.

Meanwhile, the Yunma Group was facing severe public criticism over the copyright infringement of Ning Fei's father's artwork. Li Mingcheng advised Wei Qing to avoid the public eye, but Wei Qing refused, stating that leaving now would only confirm the accusations. He also noticed that Zhou Shi, Lin Feifei, and Bi Qiujing seemed unusually calm, leading him to suspect they were concealing something. Zhou Shi and her friends were indeed taken aback by the intensity of the public backlash.

Zhou Shi debated whether to reveal the truth to Wei Qing, but with no updates from Ning Fei, she decided to confront Xue Zi first. Zhou Shi visited Xue Zi's office and questioned why she had betrayed Wei Qing. Xue Zi casually replied that mergers and separations are common in business, reminding Zhou Shi to maintain her loyalty to Snow Group and not to side with outsiders.

Zhou Shi argued that Xue Zi had guaranteed cooperation with Yunma, and then stabbed Wei Qing in the back. Xue Zi countered that Yunma had annexed Shangjue, an act she considered betrayal from an ally. She then firmly stated that Ning Fei was her brother, and she would not let his father's artwork remain in the hands of a "thief". Zhou Shi, losing her composure, exclaimed that the person Xue Zi was with was not the real Ning Fei.

Xue Zi challenged her to provide proof, then warned Zhou Shi not to disappoint her if she wished to remain at Snow. Later, Zhou Shi returned to Wei Qing's home, where he had prepared dinner. He tried to convince her to leave Snow, but Zhou Shi insisted on staying until the entire situation was resolved. Wei Qing attempted to gauge if she was hiding anything, but Zhou Shi skillfully evaded his questions.

At Xue Zi's house, Ning Fei was secretly searching her study for the diary. Xue Zi unexpectedly walked in and asked what he was rummaging through. Ning Fei quickly fabricated an excuse about looking for snacks, pointing to a nearby cabinet where he knew some were stored, feigning indignation. Though Xue Zi did not press the issue further, she remained suspicious, unaware that surveillance cameras were installed throughout the study.

Soon after, Ning Fei managed to slip away to Lin Feifei's house to update her and the others on his progress, but he couldn't stay long. Lin Feifei, reluctant to see him go, walked him to the door, asking why they were always separated. Ning Fei promised they would be together soon once everything was settled. Upon Ning Fei's return, Xue Zi confronted him, showing him footage of him searching her study.

Ning Fei, flustered, quickly devised a story, claiming that he occasionally regained his memories, and during these moments, he felt as if he were "sleepwalking," completely unaware of his actions. He suggested that the person in the video must have been his memory-recovered self. Xue Zi, though not entirely convinced, tried to restrict him from leaving the house, citing concerns about these "sleepwalking" episodes.

Ning Fei seized the opportunity to argue, accusing Xue Zi of manipulating him just as he believed Lin Feifei and others had, reducing him to a mere pawn. During this heated exchange, Xue Zi inadvertently called him "Ning Fei." He immediately reacted with feigned anger, reiterating his "Xue Ning" identity and accusing her of treating him like a pawn, which seemed to temporarily diffuse Xue Zi's suspicion and further reinforce her belief that he was still the amnesiac "Xue Ning."

However, Xue Zi remained largely unconvinced by Ning Fei's act. She visited Wei Qing, presenting him with the surveillance video as proof of Ning Fei's erratic behavior. She declared that Wei Qing's struggles were futile and demanded he transfer all of Zhou Shi's Yunma shares to her, also revealing that she had destroyed Ning Fei's treatment records. Wei Qing adamantly refused her demands.

Back home, Xue Zi confiscated Ning Fei's phone and made arrangements to move him to a different location, claiming it was to prevent further harassment from Lin Feifei and her friends. Unable to reach Ning Fei, Zhou Shi, Lin Feifei, and Bi Qiujing worried that he had been exposed. They decided it was time to reveal their plan to Wei Qing and enlisted his help in finding Ning Fei. Wei Qing immediately dispatched Wei An to search for him.

Shortly after, Zhang Shuai called, informing them that he had news about Ning Fei. Wei Qing, Zhou Shi, and their companions rushed to the resort where Zhang Shuai and Wu Xiao were waiting. Wu Xiao revealed that Ning Fei was currently staying at her father, Wu Zheng's, studio. Lin Feifei formulated a plan to go to the studio under the pretense of confronting Ning Fei, accusing him of being a "jerk."

Inside the studio, Wu Zheng, an old friend of Ning Fei's father, spoke with Ning Fei. He showed Ning Fei a photograph of his father and tried to persuade him that Wei Heng had illegally appropriated his father's artwork, mentioning a diary that detailed these events. Ning Fei, however, insisted that Wei Qing and his family were good people, asking to see the diary. At that moment, Lin Feifei arrived at the studio's entrance, loudly demanding to see Xue Ning.

Wu Zheng attempted to turn her away, but Lin Feifei burst into dramatic tears, publicly accusing Ning Fei of mistreating her. While Lin Feifei created this noisy diversion, Ning Fei swiftly searched the studio for the diary. After a few tense moments, Wu Xiao subtly signaled to Lin Feifei from behind Wu Zheng, indicating that Ning Fei had completed his search. Lin Feifei then abruptly ended her performance and left.

Episode 24 (Ending) Recap

After Wu Zheng returned to his studio, he discovered that Ning Fei had vanished. It was revealed that Wu Xiao had helped Ning Fei gain access to Wu Zheng's study. After finding what he needed, Ning Fei made his escape through the study window. Wu Zheng promptly called Xue Zi to inform her of the situation. Ning Fei, now in possession of the diary, hurried to rendezvous with Zhou Shi and their friends.

They waited briefly before Lin Feifei finally arrived. With the diary secured, the group quickly went to Dr. Chen for a diagnosis. Dr. Chen confirmed to Zhou Shi and Wei Qing that Ning Fei had indeed recovered his memories, which meant Xue Zi could no longer use amnesia to invalidate Ning Fei's statements or actions. He suggested they could now have Ning Fei hold a press conference to expose Xue Zi's schemes.

While Zhou Shi went to collect Ning Fei's medication, Wei Qing seized the opportunity to ask Ning Fei what exactly had happened. Ning Fei explained that he had known about an item in Xue Zi's possession that could harm Wei Qing and his uncle since his time abroad, but Xue Zi was always wary of him, preventing him from finding it. After he and Zhou Shi were involved in an accident, he lost his memory.

He realized he needed to finish what he started when he woke up in the hospital after a drunken incident. Knowing he couldn't do it alone, he sought Zhou Shi's help. Zhou Shi, wishing to get back at Wei Qing for his previous deceptions, agreed to help Ning Fei keep Wei Qing in the dark.

Upon returning with the medicine, Zhou Shi overheard Wei Qing's conversation and felt annoyed that he had known the truth all along and was seemingly amused by their charade. Ning Fei quickly left the scene. Wei Qing immediately softened his stance, reassuring Zhou Shi. They agreed to discuss everything and hide nothing from each other in the future. Now with the diary and Ning Fei's treatment record in hand, Zhou Shi and Wei Qing went to negotiate with Xue Zi.

They revealed that the latter part of the diary contained Ning Fei's father's confession, admitting he had previously misunderstood Wei Heng. If these contents were made public, Wei Qing asserted, public opinion would quickly turn. Xue Zi inquired about their demands. Zhou Shi and Wei Qing stated that they were willing to continue their collaboration with Snow and jointly host a father-son exhibition for Shan He (Ning Fei's father) and Xunran (Ning Fei).

The condition was that Xue Zi must hold a press conference to clarify the facts and formally apologize to Wei Heng. Realizing she had lost the upper hand, Xue Zi reluctantly accepted Wei Qing's terms, acknowledging her wrongdoing. Following this crisis, Wei Qing accompanied Zhou Shi to the hospital for her hand injury.

The doctor recommended regular acupuncture sessions and advised her to continue drawing as a form of rehabilitation, offering hope for recovery despite her missing the optimal treatment period. Zhou Shi, revitalized by this hope, dedicated herself to drawing daily, and after some time, she began to see positive results. One day, Bi Qiujing came to Zhou Shi, explaining that Ning Fei intended to propose to Lin Feifei and asked Zhou Shi for ideas on decorating the proposal venue.

Unsuspecting, Zhou Shi enthusiastically shared her ideas, including the suggestion of an outdoor venue with fireflies. She even brought Lin Feifei to what she thought was the proposal site. However, when the lights illuminated the area, Lin Feifei pushed Zhou Shi into the spotlight, announcing that this night belonged to her. Surrounding lights flickered on, and Wei Qing approached Zhou Shi with a bouquet of flowers, proposing to her once again.
