Love Under the Full Moon Synopsis

On the day of Xu Xiaodong's new game launch, a celestial phenomenon known as the "super full moon" appeared in the night sky. Under the dreamy moonlight, a fresh and sweet-looking girl fell right into Xu Xiaodong's arms—her name was Lei Chuxia. When she woke up, Lei Chuxia found herself not only in an unfamiliar place but also suffering from amnesia. To make matters worse, she could only move within a certain radius of Xu Xiaodong; if she ventured beyond that distance, she would be pulled back to his side. What’s more, this range was continuously shrinking.

Xu Xiaodong was both helpless and exasperated but had no choice but to spend day and night with Lei Chuxia. Thus began the chaotic lives of these two young people. Unconsciously, Lei Chuxia and Xu Xiaodong grew accustomed to each other's company. With Xu Xiaodong's help, Lei Chuxia rediscovered her identity and family, along with Wei Xuanhe, her college boyfriend.

However, faced with this unfamiliar "boyfriend," Lei Chuxia did not rekindle old flames. Instead, her heart increasingly leaned toward Xu Xiaodong. Through relentless efforts, Xu Xiaodong eventually helped Lei Chuxia recover her true memories and also uncovered the truth about the unjust accusation against his father ten years ago.

Just as the two finally overcame all obstacles and decided to be together, they were once again forced to part—a separation that would span ten full moon years.

Love Under the Full Moon Recap

Episode 1 Recap

In the winter of 2011, under the light of a Super Full Moon, Lei Chuxia runs to a cliffside at Tongcheng University, pursued by her fiancé, Wei Xuanhe. He corners her, telling her to let all their secrets disappear with her before pushing her over the edge. As she falls, she vanishes into thin air.

Ten years later, in 2021, another Super Full Moon graces the sky during the highly anticipated launch event for the new game, "Battle of the Saints," created by the genius designer known as Winter. As the host, Qin Yue, hypes up the crowd, a strange interference causes the servers to crash.

At that moment, snow begins to fall, and Lei Chuxia materializes from the sky, landing directly in the arms of Xu Xiaodong, who is watching the event from the sidelines. The interference immediately ceases. Before a bewildered Xu Xiaodong can react, Chuxia, who now has amnesia, punches him and flees into the night. Xu Xiaodong is soon found by his friend, Jin Xiaorui, who tells him his aunt, Shen Weiwei, has gotten into trouble again.

On their way to help her, an amnesiac Lei Chuxia, wandering the streets, is suddenly teleported into the back of their car. She is accidentally knocked unconscious by a toolbox Xu Xiaodong tosses into the back. After sorting out his aunt's latest neighborhood dispute, she proudly announces she has secured him a job at the prestigious Yao Yang Tech. Having hidden his identity as the successful and wealthy game designer Winter from her for years, Xu Xiaodong reluctantly agrees.

He doesn't want to upset his aunt, who raised him after his parents died, or remind her of the circumstances surrounding his father's death ten years prior. In reality, the job offer is a perfect opportunity for him to investigate Yao Yang Tech, a company he suspects is connected to the injustice his father suffered. Later, he and Jin Xiaorui enter a secret, high-tech studio—his real workspace—through a hidden door in his bedroom closet.

The next morning, Lei Chuxia wakes up and wanders out onto the street. As she approaches a stall selling sugar pancakes, she is suddenly teleported again, this time crashing into the glass door of Xu Xiaodong's shower while he is inside. After a shocked and confusing argument, Xiaodong decides to investigate the phenomenon. He gives Chuxia his AI assistant, a small robot named Turing, and has her repeatedly return to the locations where she teleported from.

Each time, she is instantly transported back to him, growing more exhausted with every attempt. Turing analyzes the data and concludes that the spatial distance between them is shrinking, a process that accelerates with her fatigue. The AI determines that she is bound not to his house, but to him personally. With no other choice, Xu Xiaodong takes Lei Chuxia with him to his first day of work at Yao Yang Tech.

He awkwardly explains to his new manager, Zhou Sui, that Chuxia is his cousin and, for bizarre reasons, cannot leave his side. To keep her occupied while he meets his new colleagues, he gives her his phone. She starts playing "Battle of the Saints" and is captivated when a coworker describes the game's philosophy of allowing players to create a real life in a strange, new world.

The idea resonates deeply with her own inexplicable situation, and she sends a private message to the game's creator, Winter. Meanwhile, the streamer Qin Yue, who is Wei Xuanhe's current girlfriend, is trying to celebrate her birthday. She brings a cake to his company, Shanyun Hulian, only to learn he is giving a lecture at Tongcheng University. She follows him there, but he treats her coldly, refusing to acknowledge their relationship in public.

Dejected, she returns home to find Wei Xuanhe waiting for her. Her brief moment of happiness shatters when his birthday gift turns out to be a contract renewal. He explains that his company, Shanyun Hulian, is about to go public and needs her support. Qin Yue confronts him, accusing him of being emotionally distant because he is still hung up on his college girlfriend who disappeared ten years ago. The two argue, and she throws the contract at him.

Episode 2 Recap

After returning to Xu Xiaodong's apartment, Lei Chuxia anxiously asks for an update on the search for her identity. Just as they are discussing it, Xu Xiaodong's friend, Jin Xiaorui, arrives unannounced with dinner. Panicked, Xiaodong quickly shoves Chuxia into his bedroom and tells her to stay quiet before letting his friend in.

Suspicious of the delay in opening the door, Xiaorui interrogates Xiaodong, who concocts a vague story about a "pretty girl under the moonlight" who appeared during the Super Full Moon and now follows him like a tail. Xiaorui is unconvinced, suggesting Xiaodong is either sick or his AI, Turing, has affected his brainwaves. While the two men talk, the aroma of the food entices the hungry Chuxia.

As she searches for food in the bedroom, she accidentally makes a noise and gets her hand stuck in the wardrobe door. The sound alerts Xiaorui, who becomes even more suspicious, but Xiaodong manages to push him out the door. After freeing Chuxia's hand, Xiaodong leads her through a secret entrance in his wardrobe to a high-tech workshop below his apartment.

He attempts to use his AI system, Turing, to scan her body and voice for information, but all tests fail. Chuxia grows frustrated and begs him to try again. Her emotional outburst creates an unknown magnetic field, causing the workshop's lights to flicker and the electronics to malfunction. Xiaodong is startled but quickly calms her down, promising to keep helping her, which stabilizes the magnetic field. The incident reminds Xiaodong of the Super Full Moon.

He has Turing compile news reports from that night and learns that multiple physics labs detected gravitational waves caused by a black hole. In one such lab, astrophysicist Chen Mo notes that the waves transferred a burst of energy to Earth and that the data is strikingly similar to readings from the Super Full Moon ten years prior. Though Xiaodong now connects Chuxia's appearance to the cosmic event, Turing's analysis still classifies her as human.

Later, finding Chuxia asleep in a chair, Xiaodong logs into the game "Battle of the Saints" and finds a private message from her. She wrote about the feeling of being alone in a strange world, unable to remember her name but wanting to find her real life. Moved, he gazes at her and leans in, but accidentally wakes her. To cover his embarrassment, he suggests they search the city the next day in case she recognizes anything.

After a lengthy argument over who gets the bed, which ends with him taking the sofa, Chuxia's stomach growls. Realizing they're both hungry, Xiaodong takes her out for Hainanese chicken rice. Chuxia dismisses the dish as inauthentic and proceeds to describe the correct way to prepare it in great detail, making Xiaodong wonder if she has a connection to Hainan. On their way home, they find a family of stray cats.

Chuxia grows sad, remarking that even the cats have a family while she is all alone. Xiaodong reassures her, promising he will help her find her family and herself. As rain begins to fall, they use a piece of cardboard to shelter the kittens before running home. The storm also wakes Wei Xuanhe, who thinks of his ex-girlfriend, Lei Chuxia.

Earlier that night, he had stood up his current girlfriend, Qin Yue, on her birthday, sending his assistant Li Geng with an expensive handbag as an apology. Heartbroken by his dismissive gesture, Qin Yue drinks heavily. The next morning, Xuanhe finds her passed out on the sofa. As he covers her with a blanket, she murmurs in her sleep, begging him not to leave her, and he softly agrees.

The following morning, Chuxia wakes Xiaodong early, eager to start their search. When he refuses to get up, she accidentally douses him with a basin of water. With his car restricted by traffic rules, they set out on bicycles. Since Chuxia doesn't know how to ride, Xiaodong ends up chauffeuring her around the city. After a long, fruitless day, a tired Xiaodong buys her some new clothes, telling her he'll add it to her tab.

They return home exhausted, only for Jin Xiaorui to appear again. Once Chuxia is hidden, Xiaodong opens the door and is immediately sprayed with a mouthful of saltwater. Xiaorui, convinced his friend is possessed by an evil spirit, explains it's an exorcism method he found online. To further "help," he serves Xiaodong a bowl of "fate-changing noodles." That weekend, Xiaodong tells Chuxia he has to work a part-time job.

In reality, he is using the job as a cover to secretly investigate the ten-year-old case of his father being wrongfully accused. Working as a waiter at a golf club, he gets close to his target, Li Mingyu. While covertly copying the data from Li Mingyu's phone, the situation becomes critical when the man suddenly asks for his phone back to take a picture of his golf score.

Episode 3 Recap

While Xu Xiaodong is copying data from Li Mingyu's phone at a private golf club, the situation becomes critical when Li, proud of his 82-stroke score, decides he wants to take a photo of the results to send to a friend. Just as he's about to retrieve his phone, Lei Chuxia, waiting nearby, accidentally touches a remote. The club's electronic systems go haywire, flashing celebratory messages like "Hole in one!" and "Eagle!"

This chaos successfully diverts Li Mingyu's attention, allowing a relieved Xu Xiaodong to complete the data transfer. In the ensuing confusion, the manager fires Xu Xiaodong and demands compensation for the disturbance. Without arguing, Xiaodong simply hands the manager a black card and leaves with Lei Chuxia. Lei Chuxia profusely apologizes for getting him fired, but Xu Xiaodong is unconcerned, as the job was merely a means to an end.

After his AI, Turing, confirms that the data from Li Mingyu's phone shows no direct link to the decade-old infringement case involving his father's company, Piggy Tech, they move on to his next part-time job at a coffee shop to continue the investigation. At the cafe, Xu Xiaodong's friend Jin Xiaorui arrives, having brought a psychologist, Dr. Tian Yu, to assess Xiaodong's mental state. Xiaodong, busy working, dismisses them.

Undeterred, Jin Xiaorui begins explaining Xiaodong's recent strange behavior to the doctor, describing his friend's supposed delusion of a "pretty girl under the moonlight." When the cashier takes a bathroom break, Xu Xiaodong seizes the opportunity to copy data from the cafe's computer. The cashier returns sooner than expected, so to create a diversion and buy more time, Xiaodong orders a new dessert for Lei Chuxia.

Due to a promotion, the purchase earns them a free lucky draw, and he wins a giant teddy bear. When Xu Xiaodong presents the large bear to Lei Chuxia, Jin Xiaorui is stunned to see his friend being so kind to a strange girl. He concludes to Dr. Tian that Xiaodong's mind must have been "broken by that devil." Lei Chuxia overhears Jin Xiaorui's insult and decides to teach him a lesson.

She follows him to the bathroom and uses her magnetic abilities to make the lights flicker violently and the fire sprinklers go off, soaking and terrifying him. Shortly after, Turing confirms the cafe's system code is also unrelated to his father's patent. Finding Lei Chuxia gone from her seat, Xu Xiaodong goes looking for her and runs into a drenched Jin Xiaorui, who is ranting about the "devil."

Xu Xiaodong finally introduces the two, revealing that Lei Chuxia is, in fact, the girl he's been talking about. Back at Xu Xiaodong's apartment, he explains Lei Chuxia's mysterious appearance to a dumbfounded Jin Xiaorui. Their conversation is interrupted by the arrival of Xu Xiaodong's aunt, Shen Weiwei.

She is there to ask her nephew for a favor: to return a jacket to a man named Chen Mo, a professor at Tongcheng University, and to find out if he has a girlfriend. In a flashback, it's shown that Shen Weiwei, an insurance agent, met the handsome professor when he attended her seminar. Chen Mo, an astrophysicist, publicly dismantled her sales pitch with sharp logic, but Shen Weiwei was smitten.

As she chased after him to continue her pitch, she nearly fell, and he caught her, chivalrously draping his jacket over her shoulders. Xu Xiaodong initially refuses to help his aunt's romantic pursuits. However, Jin Xiaorui quietly points out that as an astrophysicist, Chen Mo might be the one person who can explain Lei Chuxia's condition. Realizing the potential, Xu Xiaodong agrees. He and Lei Chuxia visit Professor Chen Mo, whose home electronics immediately malfunction upon her entry.

Intrigued, Chen Mo analyzes her and discovers an unusually strong magnetic field. He theorizes that her appearance is connected to a gravitational wave that reached Earth during the recent supermoon. Unseen by them, one of Chen Mo's students, Wang Yixin, eavesdrops on their conversation. Leaving the university, Lei Chuxia feels dejected, wondering if she did something horrible in a past life to deserve her current fate.

To comfort her, Xu Xiaodong sits with her on a park bench and shares the story behind his old, outdated phone. It was the last gift from his father, a programming genius who died of a heart attack after being framed for plagiarism just before he could launch his revolutionary software. Elsewhere in the city, Wei Xuanhe is leaving a lecture when he spots Lei Chuxia from a distance.

He is visibly shocked, as he believes she died ten years ago after he was responsible for her fall from a cliff. That night, he has a nightmare about the incident and wakes up in a panic at his girlfriend Qin Yue's apartment. She comforts him, and he resolves to deal with the past. The next day, he visits Lei Chuxia's parents and proposes holding a memorial service for her.

They react with fury, insisting their daughter is still alive, and throw him out. Undeterred, Wei Xuanhe tells Qin Yue he will proceed with the service anyway, and she offers her help to make it happen. Having now investigated and ruled out all but one of the original eight shareholders of Piggy Tech, Xu Xiaodong is certain the final culprit is Zhao Yaoyang, the founder of Yao Yang Tech.

To get access to the company's core data, he makes a deal with his team leader, Zhou Sui. He wagers that he can revive a failing mobile game, "Candy Game," in just one week. If he succeeds, Zhou Sui must get him a position on the core project team.

Episode 4 Recap

Xu Xiaodong explains his long-term investigation into his father's stolen system to Jin Xiaorui. After looking into the eight original shareholders of Piggy Tech, only Zhao Yaoyang, the founder of Yao Yang Tech, remains a person of interest. Xu Xiaodong suspects that if Zhao was involved, something belonging to his father must be hidden within Yao Yang Tech's corporate systems.

Jin Xiaorui remarks on how careful Xu Xiaodong has been, even keeping his identity as the famed hacker Winter a secret. After going on an online shopping spree for kitchenware, Lei Chuxia is surprised to learn that Xu Xiaodong has already converted a room in his studio into a small kitchen for her. He explains it's to help her regain her memories so she can leave sooner.

She immediately tries baking, and despite the cakes' unappealing appearance, both Xu Xiaodong and Jin Xiaorui are shocked to find they taste delicious. Their snack is interrupted by a visit from Qin Yue, a popular web host. Jin Xiaorui explains to a curious Lei Chuxia that Qin Yue is Xu Xiaodong's "goddess" and he can never refuse her requests. Qin Yue asks Xu Xiaodong to monitor the backend for an important livestream the next day.

Wary of the eavesdropping pair, Xu Xiaodong quickly agrees, hoping to make Qin Yue leave as soon as possible. The next day, as they prepare for the livestream, Lei Chuxia is thrilled to receive an encouraging private message from her idol, the hacker Winter, unaware that it's actually Xu Xiaodong. Once the stream begins, they are horrified to discover that Qin Yue is hosting a memorial service, and the person being memorialized is Lei Chuxia, with her photo displayed prominently.

Xu Xiaodong immediately cuts the live feed and gets the address from his AI, Turing. They race to the location, where Wei Xuanhe is speaking. In a moment alone, Wei Xuanhe murmurs his guilt over an incident at a cliff ten years ago, wishing to put it behind him. He turns and is stunned to see Lei Chuxia standing before him. He grabs her in shock, but she has no memory of him and is frightened.

Xu Xiaodong intervenes, pulling Wei Xuanhe away. Now knowing her name, Turing finds her family's address. When they arrive, Lei Chuxia sees her mother, Wu Ping. Emotionally overwhelmed, she calls out to her. The intense emotion causes Chuxia's energy field to interfere with Wu Ping's pacemaker, making her collapse. Xu Xiaodong calls for an ambulance. At the hospital, the doctor explains that Wu Ping's pacemaker was disrupted but she is now stable.

When she wakes, she insists she saw her daughter, but her husband, Mr. Lei, believes she was hallucinating. He tells Xu Xiaodong that they have been searching for Chuxia for ten years. Devastated, Chuxia realizes her unstable energy makes it too dangerous to approach her parents. Seeking a solution, Xu Xiaodong takes her to see Professor Chen Mo.

The astrophysicist reveals a stunning theory: Lei Chuxia is from ten years ago, her arrival coinciding with a gravitational wave he detected back then. This explains why she hasn't aged. While he doesn't know how to send her back, he offers to invent a device to stabilize her energy, which would allow her to reunite with her parents. However, he requires significant funding for the research, which Lei Chuxia resolves to find on her own.

Back at the spot where she first appeared, a dejected Lei Chuxia tries various ways to return to her time, all of which fail. To lift her spirits, Xu Xiaodong arranges black and white tiles into a giant QR code. When she scans it with her phone, her name appears. He explains this was a game he used to play with his late father, using the analogy of binary code to encourage her.

He tells her that just as zeros and ones form a complex world, she is the foundation of her own new reality and can find her own meaning. They then formally reintroduce themselves, marking a new beginning. That night, Xu Xiaodong takes Lei Chuxia to watch her parents return home from the hospital. When the neighborhood's faulty street lamps flicker out, she instinctively uses her energy to light them all up, illuminating a colorful staircase.

The sight triggers a forgotten childhood memory: after getting lost, her father comforted her by painting the stairs into a "rainbow staircase" so she could always find her way home. Just as she is absorbed in this precious memory, she receives a call from Professor Chen, who tells her he has good news.

Episode 5 Recap

The episode begins with a hopeful phone call from Professor Chen to Xu Xiaodong and Lei Chuxia. He announces that his lab has received a generous donation, providing the necessary funds to develop a device that can control Chuxia's unstable energy. Overjoyed, Chuxia realizes this could be her ticket to freedom and a reunion with her parents.

What she doesn't know is that Xu Xiaodong orchestrated the entire thing, having his friend Jin Xiaorui make the donation under the guise of the famous game developer, Winter. Xiaorui created a cover story, telling the professor that Winter needed his expertise for a new universe-themed game. Seeing Chuxia's radiant smile, Xiaodong feels his efforts are all worthwhile.

He continues his charade as the benevolent Winter, using the foundation's funds to arrange for Chuxia's parents to attend a recuperation program at a nearby nursing home, giving them a much-needed rest. However, a new threat emerges at the lab. Professor Chen's ambitious student, Wang Yixin, learns about Chuxia and sees her not as a person in need, but as a priceless scientific specimen.

He argues that experimenting on someone transported through time is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that could lead to historic breakthroughs. Professor Chen is appalled by the suggestion of human experimentation and sternly forbids it, reminding his student that the purpose of science is to bring happiness, not harm. Despite the warning, Wang Yixin remains fixated on his unethical plan. Meanwhile, Wei Xuanhe grows increasingly desperate in his search for Chuxia since seeing her at the memorial.

Frustrated by the lack of progress, he coldly dismisses a concerned Qin Yue, leaving her heartbroken. Shortly after, Zhao Yaoyang, the founder of Yao Yang Tech, pays him a visit to discuss the "Family Always Present" app, a new system from Xuanhe's company, Shan Yun Hulian. The app's launch is stalled by technical difficulties, and Zhao impatiently suggests that Xuanhe plagiarize the work of a smaller, unprotected team.

When Xuanhe balks at the idea, Zhao ominously reminds him of their past, revealing that ten years ago, they stole the work of Xu Xiaodong's father, Xu Weiyi. With her parents away at the nursing home, Chuxia convinces Xiaodong to take her to her family home in hopes of jogging her memory. Though she doesn't recall much, she instinctively knows where her parents hide the spare key.

Inside, they find old photos and childhood essays, but nothing substantial comes back to her. Xiaodong then takes her to a dessert shop called Summer Time, where they find a young woman, Yuan Yuan, pleading with the landlord to let her continue renting the closed shop. She reveals she has been paying the rent for ten years, waiting for her best friend to return. That friend is Chuxia.

Their reunion is emotional, though Yuan Yuan is devastated to learn of Chuxia's amnesia. She immediately begins sharing stories of their lifelong friendship to help Chuxia remember. Their reunion is interrupted by the arrival of Wei Xuanhe, who tracked Chuxia to the shop. Yuan Yuan is openly hostile towards him for refusing to cancel the memorial's livestream when she called him. Xuanhe ignores her and introduces himself to Chuxia as her boyfriend.

When Chuxia questions him about her disappearance ten years ago, he lies, claiming he was too busy with his startup and simply found her gone one night. He offers to help her regain her memories, suggesting they meet at their old university. Although Xiaodong is suspicious and jealous, Chuxia is desperate for answers and agrees to meet him. The next day, Xiaodong reluctantly accompanies Chuxia to meet Xuanhe at Tongcheng University.

The two men are immediately at odds, with Xiaodong constantly making sarcastic remarks as Xuanhe attempts to recreate romantic moments from his and Chuxia's past. He takes her to a tree where he claims she used to wait for him and to the library where he alleges she confessed her love. Chuxia, however, feels no connection to these supposed memories, only an increasing sense of awkwardness.

During their tense tour of the campus, Xiaodong receives a call from Professor Chen with fantastic news: the energy-controlling device, fashioned into a bracelet, is complete. Back at the lab, after Chen proudly places the finished bracelet on his desk and leaves, Wang Yixin sneaks in. Muttering about Chuxia being a unique specimen he cannot let go, he tampers with the device, adding a sinister component for his own secret experiment.

Episode 6 Recap

After an awkward trip to Tongcheng University with Wei Xuanhe, Lei Chuxia and Xu Xiaodong ride back to the Summer Time dessert shop on a single bicycle. During their search for memories in the library, Chuxia felt no connection to her supposed ex-boyfriend. She formally thanks Wei Xuanhe for his time, pointedly calling him "Director Wei" and ignoring his request to use his first name, Xuanhe.

The playful bike ride home, with Chuxia tickling a protesting Xiaodong, is a stark contrast to the stilted time she spent with Xuanhe. Back at the shop, Chuxia confides in Yuan Yuan that she felt completely detached from Xuanhe and sensed that he was both disappointed and relieved by her amnesia. Yuan Yuan is not surprised, sharing her own harsh assessment of Xuanhe.

She tells Chuxia that his deep affection is just for show; in the ten years Chuxia was gone, he never once helped her parents or the struggling shop. Yuan Yuan concludes that he is a selfish man who only loves himself—an accurate assessment, as he is the very person who caused her to fall from a cliff ten years prior.

To shift the focus, Yuan Yuan reminisces about the shop's former popularity, which was built on Chuxia's signature dessert, "Summer's Kiss." She recalls a crucial detail: on the day Chuxia vanished, she had prepared a "Summer's Kiss" for a very important customer who never arrived to claim it, leading Chuxia to suspect her disappearance might be linked to this mysterious client.

Inspired, they decide to reopen Summer Time to find more clues but are immediately faced with a lack of funds. Just as they despair, Jin Xiaorui makes a grand, clumsy entrance, instantly falling for Yuan Yuan. He announces that his client, the famous gamer Winter, wishes to invest a large sum in the shop with no conditions attached, simply to offer Chuxia encouragement.

Chuxia is hesitant to accept such a large gift from a stranger, but after messaging Winter to refuse, she receives a heartfelt reply about passing on courage he once received from someone else. Moved by his words and persuaded by her friends, she accepts the investment, vowing to create the best desserts to repay his kindness. With Chuxia's mobility no longer tied to Xiaodong, they visit Professor Chen Mo to pick up a device he created to control her energy.

The device, disguised as a bracelet, successfully contains her energy field. Chen Mo's attempts to test it by provoking an emotional reaction from Chuxia fail, until Xu Xiaodong leans in close to help adjust the bracelet. His proximity makes her heart race, causing her energy to spike, which the bracelet perfectly controls. Unbeknownst to them, Chen Mo's assistant, Wang Yixin, has tampered with the device, allowing him to secretly siphon her energy.

Thrilled with the apparent success, Chuxia believes she can finally reunite with her parents. However, Chen Mo delivers a sobering warning: the bracelet is only a temporary solution, and she could still disappear. Fearing that her parents couldn't endure the pain of losing her a second time, a disheartened Chuxia decides she must wait before seeing them. Eager to test her new freedom, Chuxia and Xiaodong decide to try separating.

Xiaodong gives her a phone pre-loaded with his contact information and a tracking system. Their goodbye is awkward, and as they walk in opposite directions, both feel a surprising pang of loneliness and reluctance, though each misinterprets the other's feelings as relief. Before she gets far, Wei Xuanhe pulls up and offers to take her to another place to help her remember. As Xu Xiaodong watches with concern, she agrees and gets into his car.

Wei Xuanhe drives her to a seaside pier, a place they used to frequent. He shows her a video he took on their fourth anniversary, filled with tender moments and a declaration of eternal love from her past self. He speaks of how he cherished the video during her ten-year absence, hoping to spark a memory or feeling. However, Chuxia feels nothing.

She apologizes, explaining that she remembers none of it and even doubts that the girl in the video is truly her. Xuanhe presses on, asking for a chance to start over and leans in for a kiss, but she turns away, her rejection solidified as she recalls Yuan Yuan's earlier warning about his selfishness. That evening, Yuan Yuan hosts a welcome-home party for Chuxia at the shop.

Jin Xiaorui, helping to set up, bombards Yuan Yuan with cheesy pickup lines, which she expertly deflects. Xu Xiaodong arrives with him, his mood souring when he sees Wei Xuanhe drop Chuxia off. Later, Yuan Yuan advises Chuxia to stop trying to force her memories and to keep her distance from the changed Wei Xuanhe, suggesting she should start fresh. The next morning, the shop buzzes with activity for its reopening.

Jin Xiaorui appears early, dressed to impress and holding flowers for Yuan Yuan, who promptly puts him to work carrying heavy sacks of flour. He continues his flirtatious advances, but she bluntly tells him she isn't interested in dating a younger man. Meanwhile, Chuxia wakes Xu Xiaodong at dawn, having already bought them breakfast. They share a meal, playfully bickering about her newfound independence, though an undercurrent of their growing attachment remains.

Episode 7 Recap

Jin Xiaorui continues his attempts to woo Yuan Yuan with a barrage of cheesy pickup lines, but she is unimpressed. She tells the much younger man that his lines are outdated and she has no interest in a relationship with a younger man. She sends him off to his real job while she and Lei Chuxia prepare for the grand reopening of their bakery, Summer Time. Despite their optimism, the bakery's opening day is a disaster.

Hours pass with no customers, forcing them to slash their prices repeatedly. While watching delivery riders zoom past, Chuxia gets the idea to start an online delivery service. Yuan Yuan agrees but points out that to be featured on the city's popular food app, they need a signature item. She reminds Chuxia of their former bestseller, a cake called "Summer's Kiss," which Chuxia created years ago to cheer Yuan Yuan up after a breakup.

With Chuxia's amnesia, the recipe is lost, but they know its return is key to their success. Unable to remember the recipe on her own, Chuxia decides to ask her ex-boyfriend, Wei Xuanhe, hoping he might recall some details. At his office, Wei Xuanhe deceptively claims he knows the recipe but will only share it if Chuxia does three things for him. The first is to have a meal with him.

A worried Jin Xiaorui, who had arrived to support the bakery only to be put to work as a promoter by Yuan Yuan, immediately texts Xu Xiaodong to warn him about the "date." At his tech company, Xu Xiaodong is visibly upset by the news. His mood worsens when his boss, Zhou Sui, patronizingly dismisses his request to join the core project team, a move he had been promised.

Fed up, Xiaodong secretly instructs his AI, Turing, to exploit a vulnerability in one of the company's older games, creating a problem that only he will be able to solve. Wei Xuanhe takes Chuxia to the luxurious Peninsula Restaurant, explaining that as poor students, they could only dream of eating there. He uses the nostalgic setting to plead for them to get back together, but Chuxia gently refuses.

She explains that she wants to build a new future for herself, not simply relive the past. When a waiter accidentally bumps into Chuxia, Wei Xuanhe makes a scene, exaggerating the minor incident and insisting on taking her to a hospital for a check-up. Just before they leave the restaurant, Chuxia insists on paying and uses Xu Xiaodong's credit card.

Back at the office, Xiaodong receives the alert for the expensive meal and, realizing she's using his money on a date with her ex, storms out in anger. At the hospital, Wei Xuanhe lies to the doctor, pretending to be Chuxia's family to get information on her condition. He is privately relieved when the doctor explains that her amnesia is likely psychogenic and permanent.

Xiaodong finds Chuxia back at the bakery and, still annoyed, takes her for a follow-up visit with Professor Chen Mo. At the lab, they witness a hilarious scene as Xiaodong's aunt, Shen Weiwei, relentlessly flirts with the flustered professor. Chuxia overhears Weiwei's definition of being smitten: "When you're in love, your actions are faster than your heart." The phrase sparks an idea. That evening at home, Chuxia bakes several cakes but can't get the flavor right.

Remembering the cake's name and Shen Weiwei's words, she suddenly asks a stunned Xu Xiaodong to kiss her. He hesitates before giving in, and they share their first kiss. The moment of inspiration works, and Chuxia is immediately able to bake a perfect "Summer's Kiss." The next day at the shop, Yuan Yuan is ecstatic, confirming the cake tastes exactly as it did ten years ago.

When Jin Xiaorui tries a piece, he remarks that he recognizes the taste from something he ate at Xiaodong's house. This triggers a painful memory for Xiaodong: his father once bought him this very cake for his birthday, but he had gotten the date wrong by a month. Hurt by his father's perceived carelessness, a young Xiaodong had refused to eat it. Xiaodong’s plan at work succeeds.

The following morning, a panicked Zhou Sui pulls him aside, revealing that the game's system has been attacked. In desperation, Zhou Sui agrees to Xiaodong's demand to join the core project team if he can fix the crisis, even allowing Xiaodong to secretly use his identity and computer to do the work.

Episode 8 Recap

As promised, Lei Chuxia brings a freshly made "Summer's Kiss" cake to Wei Xuanhe's company. Although the receptionist initially mistakes her for a delivery person and then a fan, Xuanhe's assistant, Li Geng, recognizes her and accepts the cake on his boss's behalf. As Chuxia is leaving, she runs into Qin Yue, who immediately confronts her.

Asserting her dominance, Qin Yue informs Chuxia that she and Xuanhe have been together for two years and warns her to stay away, dismissing any possibility of a reunion. Chuxia quickly reassures her that she has no interest in getting back with Xuanhe, an answer that visibly pleases Qin Yue. In his office, Wei Xuanhe tastes the cake and is stunned to find it tastes exactly the same as it did ten years ago.

A wave of anxiety washes over him as he worries that this might mean Chuxia's memories are returning, a development he secretly dreads. When Qin Yue enters, he has her taste the cake and then instructs her to use her platform as a beauty vlogger to do a promotional live stream for it. He pointedly remarks that people can't easily abandon their past.

Furious at being ordered around to help his ex-girlfriend, Qin Yue waits until he leaves for a meeting before smashing the remaining cake in a fit of rage. On her way back to the shop, Lei Chuxia feels an unnerving sensation of being followed. Her instincts are correct; a man named Wang Yixin is secretly tracking her, using a device to collect a strange energy she emits.

After accidentally knocking over a planter and startling her, he notices the energy collection rate spikes dramatically when she is distressed, giving him a new, sinister idea. Back at Summer Time, Chuxia continues her daily ritual of placing a "Summer's Kiss" cake on display, hoping to attract the mysterious customer who ordered it a decade ago but never picked it up.

To help, Yuan Yuan compiles a list of old customers, suggesting Chuxia could visit them under the pretext of making deliveries. Chuxia agrees, but since she can't ride a scooter and taking a taxi is too expensive, she prepares to set out on a simple bicycle. Just then, Wei Xuanhe arrives with a thank-you gift of designer bags. Seeing her precarious delivery setup, he insists on driving her, arguing that the cake would be ruined otherwise.

Their delivery trip is filmed by a customer and quickly goes viral online, with captions suggesting Xuanhe is Chuxia's wealthy and caring boyfriend. When Xu Xiaodong sees the video, he becomes sullen. Later, finding Chuxia exhausted after a long day of fruitless deliveries, he feels a pang of sympathy and decides to take action. He stays up all night and develops a custom delivery application for Summer Time.

He cleverly names the app "Dong Xia," a combination of his and Chuxia's names, and includes a special feature: customers can get their order for free if they leave a message sharing a story about "Summer's Kiss" from ten years ago, creating a much more efficient way for Chuxia to find her long-lost customer. The next day, when Wei Xuanhe calls to offer his driving services again, Chuxia happily tells him about their new app, effectively shutting him down.

Not to be outdone, Xuanhe immediately calls Qin Yue and pressures her to do the promotional live stream for Summer Time. Qin Yue calmly agrees, but she has her own plan. During the broadcast, she spins a romantic tale not about Chuxia and Xuanhe, but about the sweet shop owner and a brilliant programmer who fell in love, using the "Dong Xia" app as evidence of their relationship. The story works, and new customers flock to the shop.

Xuanhe is enraged at being double-crossed, while Xu Xiaodong, despite the positive outcome, feels he lost the round in their rivalry. Refusing to concede defeat, Xu Xiaodong launches his own counterattack. Logging into the popular game "Battle of the Saints" as his powerful alter ego, Winter, he issues a system-wide announcement: any player who presents a receipt from Summer Time can redeem it for limited edition equipment and in-game gift packs.

The promotion is a massive success, and the bakery is instantly mobbed by hordes of enthusiastic gamers. To celebrate their booming sales, Chuxia, Xu Xiaodong, Yuan Yuan, and Jin Xiaorui go out for dinner. Chuxia heaps praise upon the mysterious gamer "Winter," expressing immense gratitude and even fantasizing with Yuan Yuan about making a life-size plushie of him. Xu Xiaodong can only listen in silence, growing increasingly jealous of his own secret identity.

As Chuxia and Xu Xiaodong are heading home, Wei Xuanhe appears with flowers, offering to drive her. To shut him down, Xu Xiaodong declares that he and Chuxia are living together. Feigning concern that Chuxia has nowhere else to stay, Xuanhe hands her a set of keys, claiming they are for the marital home they had prepared ten years ago. He presses them into her hands and leaves her and a fuming Xu Xiaodong in stunned silence.

On the ride home, Chuxia stares at the keys, unsettled by the revelation that her past with Xuanhe was apparently so serious. She muses aloud that perhaps Xuanhe was right and that it's inappropriate for her to continue living at Xu Xiaodong's place. This is the last straw for Xu Xiaodong.

He angrily warns her that Wei Xuanhe is a dangerous person and that if she chooses to go to him and gets hurt, he won't be there to pick up the pieces. Hurt by his harsh words, Chuxia demands he stop the car and gets out. After a quick call confirms Yuan Yuan is busy at the movies with Jin Xiaorui, Chuxia, feeling alone, hails a taxi to the one place she can go: the empty Summer Time shop. As she tries to sleep on the sofa in the dark, she hears a noise and sees a shadowy figure lurking outside the door, filling her with terror.

Episode 9 Recap

Alone at Summer Time late at night, Lei Chuxia is startled by a shadowy figure outside. Watching from a distance, Wang Yixin observes that her fear causes her energy levels to spike, confirming his theory. When someone then climbs in through the window, Chuxia grabs a rolling pin and attacks, only to discover the intruder is a concerned Xu Xiaodong. As an apology, Chuxia makes him a bowl of noodles.

The taste is strikingly similar to his late father's cooking, prompting Xiaodong to share his painful past. He explains that after his mother died, his father often made him these noodles, which he always complained about. During a rebellious phase, Xiaodong pushed his father away, not understanding the pressure he was under. Tragically, his father's company was sabotaged when a competitor stole his product and framed him for plagiarism.

The stress triggered a fatal heart attack, and Xiaodong never got another chance to even complain about his father's cooking. At his lowest point, a kind, strange girl who resembled Chuxia appeared like a ray of sunshine, giving him hope. He vowed then to find the thief and clear his father's name. As rain begins to fall, Xiaodong uses it as an excuse to stay and keep Chuxia company on the shop's couch.

Later, as a storm rages outside, he comforts a frightened Chuxia by taking her hand. Meanwhile, Qin Yue prepares chicken soup and brings it to Wei Xuanhe's office, worried about how hard he's working. On the way, she receives a shocking phone call informing her that someone is moving into the wedding house Xuanhe had prepared for Lei Chuxia ten years ago, which has been vacant ever since. She confronts Xuanhe, asking if he and Chuxia are getting back together.

He coldly dismisses her, stating that his affairs are none of her business. Heartbroken, Qin Yue realizes her serious feelings for him are not reciprocated and leaves the soup behind, feeling foolish. Wandering aimlessly, she is harassed by an aggressive fan, but Xuanhe arrives just in time to rescue her. The incident is captured by onlookers and quickly becomes a top news story. The viral news infuriates Wei Xuanhe's father, who values the family's reputation above all else.

He berates Xuanhe for getting entangled in "women's affairs" instead of fixing the critical problems with his company's "Family First" app. As punishment for shaming the family name, he orders Xuanhe to stand in the family courtyard all night. While standing outside, Xuanhe recalls a memory of Chuxia encouraging him to stay true to himself and not change to please others.

Hoping to uncover the truth about his father's past, Xu Xiaodong takes a job at Yao Yang Tech, joining the core project team. He is horrified to discover that their main task is to steal source code from other companies, a practice his colleagues casually refer to as "reference." The CEO, Zhao Yaoyang, even visits the team to pressure them to work faster, bluntly stating that the only way to win is to "steal faster than others."

Convinced that Zhao Yaoyang is the man who ruined his father, Xiaodong instructs his AI, Turing, to sync and save all his work as evidence of the company's plagiarism. After work, he stops by Summer Time and, seeing Chuxia busy inside, secretly draws a sun on the glass door with a crayon, circling her within it. Back at Summer Time, business is booming.

Yuan Yuan reads aloud from the shop's app, where customers have started a poll about Chuxia's love life. The choices are A, the mysterious gamer Winter; B, her devoted ex-boyfriend CEO; and C, the "unremarkable" but ever-present IT guy, "Dong something." Chuxia publicly dismisses the poll, but later, while baking alone, she reflects that Xiaodong is far from unremarkable and that his constant companionship is actually quite nice. She subconsciously begins piping the letter 'C' onto her cookies with chocolate.

That evening, as they close up, Chuxia gives some of the cookies to Xiaodong. He tries to confess his feelings for her, but his attempts are comically foiled by a series of loud interruptions from the street. The next day, Wang Yixin visits the shop under the guise of being a customer. He secretly places a device under the cash register designed to drain Chuxia's energy. Soon after, Chuxia feels dizzy and suddenly collapses.

A frantic Xu Xiaodong rushes her to Professor Chen Mo's laboratory. Professor Chen quickly determines that Chuxia's collapse was caused by a rapid loss of energy and discovers that her protective bracelet has been modified to emit her energy rather than contain it. He realizes the culprit must be an insider from their lab. Just then, Wang Yixin arrives, and Chen uses a scanner to detect the receiving device on him, exposing him as the saboteur.

Professor Chen confronts Wang Yixin, who shows no remorse. He callously argues that his actions are for the advancement of science and humanity, dismissing Chuxia as not even being a real person. Disgusted by his student's lack of a moral compass and refusal to apologize, Professor Chen expels him from the lab permanently. When Chuxia and Xiaodong return to Summer Time, they find Yuan Yuan interrogating Jin Xiaorui, who has clothespins clipped to his face. He had refused to tell her anything about Chuxia's condition all afternoon, determined to keep her secret safe until he had her permission to speak.

Episode 10 Recap

After Lei Chuxia gave her permission, Jin Xiaorui revealed everything to Yuan Yuan. Yuan Yuan expressed immense relief that Lei Chuxia was back, commenting that Lei Chuxia is currently twenty-two years old, while Yuan Yuan herself is thirty-two. Yuan Yuan reassured Lei Chuxia that age is not important; what matters is her return, and Yuan Yuan promised to protect her.

She reminisced about Lei Chuxia caring for her like an older sister in the past, and now it's her turn to take care of Lei Chuxia, adding that she wouldn't complain about Lei Chuxia being younger. Concerned for Lei Chuxia's well-being after her fainting spell, Yuan Yuan invited Lei Chuxia to stay at her place for the night, offering to take care of her.

When Yuan Yuan questioned why Lei Chuxia looked at Xu Xiaodong, Lei Chuxia explained that having lost her wristband, she could not be too far from Xu Xiaodong, as she would always return to his side regardless of distance. Understanding this, Yuan Yuan extended the invitation to Xu Xiaodong as well, suggesting he could sleep on the sofa. Xu Xiaodong readily agreed.

Jin Xiaorui then eagerly announced his intention to join them, to which Yuan Yuan playfully retorted that it had nothing to do with him. Upon arriving at Yuan Yuan's place, Jin Xiaorui expressed surprise that she lives in a warehouse. Yuan Yuan explained that the rent is low, and she needs to save money to support her shop. Jin Xiaorui jokingly offered for her to move in with him rent-free, which she immediately rejected.

Yuan Yuan acknowledged her place is small but proudly showcased her tasteful decorations, emphasizing the importance of treating oneself well despite life's difficulties. Jin Xiaorui commented it didn't look "decent," to which Yuan Yuan retorted he was the indecent one for making himself at home. Yuan Yuan then showed Lei Chuxia the bedroom, excitedly stating they would sleep together and Lei Chuxia was "hers."

She told Xu Xiaodong he could sleep on the sofa, which he confirmed was fine regarding the distance constraint with Lei Chuxia. Jin Xiaorui then asked where he should sleep, and Yuan Yuan pointed to the ample space on the floor for him to choose. Inside the bedroom, Yuan Yuan proudly showed Lei Chuxia her tastefully decorated room, including a small balcony, explaining how she personally set everything up to make her life better.

They shared hopes of earning more money to live in a bigger, more stylish home, vowing to work hard together. Later, Yuan Yuan asked Lei Chuxia why she wasn't sleeping, wondering if she was still shaken by the day's events. Lei Chuxia admitted she was more concerned about having scared the customers at the shop. Yuan Yuan dismissed this, saying people love gossip, especially big news.

She then pointed out how visibly anxious Xu Xiaodong was when he carried Lei Chuxia, confirming her "sixth sense" that Xu Xiaodong definitely liked her. Yuan Yuan pressed Lei Chuxia on whether she liked him back. Lei Chuxia, still processing her recent experiences, deflected, saying she needed to figure out how to live first. Yuan Yuan, undeterred, declared Xu Xiaodong her top choice and would vote for him with both hands and feet.

She then reminded Lei Chuxia that Xu Xiaodong was just outside, so she should stop talking and sleep. Lei Chuxia eventually agreed. In the living room, Jin Xiaorui, feeling happy in Yuan Yuan's home, talked to Xu Xiaodong about his feelings for Yuan Yuan, noting their compatibility despite her being older and how she reciprocated his romantic gestures. He asked Xu Xiaodong for his opinion, urging his "best friend" to respond.

Jin Xiaorui suggested they should discuss their romantic prospects, as the girls might be having their own "pillow talk" session. He then pondered if he should be even more direct with Yuan Yuan, to which Xu Xiaodong humorously warned that he might not even get to sleep on the sofa if he did.

Shifting the conversation to Xu Xiaodong, Jin Xiaorui pressed him about Lei Chuxia, saying he saw them return together and strongly believed they had feelings for each other. He encouraged Xu Xiaodong, as a man, to confess. Xu Xiaodong, however, believed it was not the right time, especially with Lei Chuxia's recent serious health issue. He quoted an online saying that "companionship is the most enduring confession" and decided to focus on accompanying her for now.

Jin Xiaorui agreed, resolving to spend more time with Yuan Yuan too, before Xu Xiaodong dismissed him to sleep. After urging Jin Xiaorui to sleep, Xu Xiaodong noticed Lei Chuxia awake on the balcony. He joined her with some beer, asking if she also couldn't sleep and if she wanted to drink together. He commented on the full moon, recalling that the moon was also full on the day she appeared, and jokingly asked if she was scared then.

Lei Chuxia confided in Xu Xiaodong, revealing that after she fainted, she saw a series of images in her mind: herself running, someone chasing her, falling off a cliff, being held onto, only for the person to let go and watch her fall. She was uncertain if these were memories or illusions but felt the situation was complicated.

Lei Chuxia wondered if her arrival here was directly linked to falling off that cliff, joking about the coincidence of landing on him and recalling the pain of the slap she gave him that day. When she expressed her inability to sleep, Xu Xiaodong offered a solution. He then began to gently read out code, a method his father used to help him sleep as a child.

While reading, he inwardly vowed to stay by Lei Chuxia's side, regardless of what her memories mean, affirming it as his way of showing affection, with the moon as his witness. The next day, Yuan Yuan advised Lei Chuxia to rest at her place for a couple of days and not worry about the shop.

Lei Chuxia, however, decided to return to Xu Xiaodong's home, explaining that his place was the first place she stayed after arriving, and she felt secure there. Yuan Yuan agreed, acknowledging Xu Xiaodong as a reliable and trustworthy person, but urged Lei Chuxia to inform her immediately if anything happened. Meanwhile, Wei Xuanhe was still in a late-night company meeting regarding Cyber Tech's "Family First app," which was plagued with continuous issues.

Investors expressed their deep dissatisfaction and pressured him to address the problems, with one suggesting to scrap the app entirely for capital reasons. Wei Xuanhe argued that the app was crucial for Cyber Tech and they could overcome temporary difficulties, but investors warned that if the app failed to launch by the deadline, they would no longer invest in him.

Wei Xuanhe's father called, criticizing him for his stagnant career and inability to meet expectations, suggesting he pack up and come home. Despite initially hesitating, with a flashback to Lei Chuxia's warning from ten years ago to not compromise himself—but now Lei Chuxia was no longer there to stop him—Wei Xuanhe signed a partnership agreement with Zhao Yaoyang, indicating he had hardened his heart. Qin Yue arrived, observing his bad mood, but declared she wouldn't leave.

Wei Xuanhe told her he was not in the mood for guests and even if she stayed, he wouldn't develop feelings for her, pointing out that many people approached him for personal gain. He asked her what she wanted. Qin Yue boldly stated she wanted "everything": a glamorous life, the title of Mrs. Wei, and most importantly, Wei Xuanhe himself. He warned her it wouldn't be easy and that his heart wasn't good.

Qin Yue responded that he was never perfect in her eyes; she accepted all his good and bad qualities. She proclaimed that anything belonging to Wei Xuanhe would eventually be Qin Yue's. If she couldn't win his heart, she would start by getting the person, confident that his heart would eventually be hers. Wei Xuanhe cautioned her against being too greedy, but Qin Yue unreservedly embraced her ambition, stating, "I am exactly that greedy," which seemed to touch him.

Jin Xiaorui tried to give Xu Xiaodong "Xiao Rui's Love Notes" to help him confess to Lei Chuxia, but Xu Xiaodong rejected them, instead asking Jin Xiaorui to schedule an appointment with Dr. Tian Yu for Lei Chuxia. Xu Xiaodong took Lei Chuxia to see Dr. Tian Yu for psychological counseling.

During the session, Dr. Tian Yu hypnotized Lei Chuxia and confirmed that the scenes she saw were not illusions but likely real memories, as the hypnotic recall aligned with Lei Chuxia's descriptions. Dr. Tian Yu explained that the "running, falling, being chased" elements indicated extreme insecurity. Lei Chuxia's resistance and nervousness towards this memory, allowing her to see only fragmented scenes, further suggested it was a real memory.

Dr. Tian Yu stated that it was highly possible the man who let go of Lei Chuxia, causing her to fall off the cliff, was real, although it could also be a manifestation of extreme fear. She suggested more memories were needed for a conclusive diagnosis. Lei Chuxia decided she must investigate what truly happened, and Xu Xiaodong promised to help her.

After several restless nights, Xu Xiaodong suggested Lei Chuxia return to her room to sleep comfortably, but she preferred to rest where she was, admitting she was afraid to sleep. Later, Lei Chuxia tried to go out for breakfast to buy a sugar pancake but instantly teleported back to Xu Xiaodong. He reminded her that her wristband was with Professor Chen, and they could not be too far apart.

Lei Chuxia, having seen only one sugar pancake left, insisted on going to get it. To manage their distance, Xu Xiaodong used a dog leash brought by Turing. On their way back, they encountered neighborhood aunties who openly joked about Lei Chuxia "leashing" her boyfriend, remarking that a woman should capture a man's heart instead of tying him with a physical rope. Lei Chuxia brushed off the comments, claiming young people prefer things this way.

Dr. Tian Yu explained that Lei Chuxia's dreams were a manifestation of her strong desire to recover her memories. She suggested that interacting with familiar people, places, and objects could significantly aid her memory recovery. Following this advice, Lei Chuxia and Xu Xiaodong returned to the Lei family home, where Xu Xiaodong found an old video recorder. They watched a video of Lei Chuxia as a child, but it stopped midway.

A technician explained that the battery slot was likely broken, but the part was long out of production and extremely hard to find. Despite the difficulty, the technician offered to help them look, and Xu Xiaodong and Lei Chuxia also agreed to search. Xu Xiaodong, under his game alias "Winter," posted an announcement in "Battle of the Saints," requesting players to find parts for the old DV.

Soon after, numerous packages containing parts and manuals arrived at Summer Time, overwhelming Yuan Yuan and Jin Xiaorui. Yuan Yuan noticed that many senders were "Battle of the Saints" players. Lei Chuxia expressed surprise because she never told Winter about needing to fix her video recorder. Yuan Yuan initially thought Jin Xiaorui told Winter, but Lei Chuxia clarified she didn't tell him either.

Yuan Yuan then pointed out that every time Lei Chuxia needed help, Winter appeared, suggesting he was someone close to them. As only Xu Xiaodong and Jin Xiaorui were always around, Lei Chuxia began to suspect Xu Xiaodong. After finding the correct battery slot, the video was restored. It showed a young Lei Chuxia at an amusement park with her parents. However, watching the video didn't trigger any memories.

She credited Winter for making it possible but again wondered how he knew. Xu Xiaodong lied, explaining that the appliance store owner, a "Battle of the Saints" player, encountered Winter in the game and told him about the video recorder. Lei Chuxia left a message in the game thanking Winter. Yuan Yuan playfully suggested that Winter might want a virtual relationship with Lei Chuxia. Yuan Yuan argued that Winter's consistent help could only mean he liked her.

Lei Chuxia insisted it was just friendly help. Later, Xu Xiaodong discreetly took Jin Xiaorui's phone to view Lei Chuxia's message, which expressed a desire to thank Winter in person. Yuan Yuan caught Xu Xiaodong and, seeing him on the phone, confronted Jin Xiaorui. Misinterpreting Jin Xiaorui's earlier defense of Winter as a sign that he was Winter and secretly liked Lei Chuxia, Yuan Yuan called him a liar and stormed off.

Jin Xiaorui was devastated, and Xu Xiaodong criticized him, stating that revealing his identity to Lei Chuxia would put her in danger. Desperate, Jin Xiaorui begged Xu Xiaodong to confess to being Winter to appease Yuan Yuan. Xu Xiaodong reluctantly agreed. Xu Xiaodong confessed to Yuan Yuan that he was the real Winter, explaining he had to hide his identity for special reasons.

He asked her not to tell Lei Chuxia yet, promising to reveal it himself when his position in Lei Chuxia's heart surpassed Winter's. Yuan Yuan agreed to keep the secret. She then confronted Jin Xiaorui, who tried to reconcile. She asked him about the car and watch he flaunted; Jin Xiaorui admitted they belonged to Xu Xiaodong, clarifying he was just a regular financial worker. She demanded to know why he pretended to be rich.

He confessed that he fell in love with her at first sight and worried she'd dislike his youth, believing that if he appeared wealthy, she wouldn't reject him. Yuan Yuan was furious, accusing him of seeing her as a materialistic woman. She immediately "broke up" with him, leaving Jin Xiaorui bewildered about when they were even officially together. He then desperately asked Xu Xiaodong to help him win her back.

Episode 11 Recap

To help Jin Xiaorui reconcile with a furious Yuan Yuan, Xu Xiaodong proposes a double date to an amusement park using VIP tickets he won as a project reward. Yuan Yuan initially refuses, calling Jin Xiaorui a liar and wanting nothing to do with him. However, she relents when a desperate Jin Xiaorui promises to accept any punishment she deems fit. At the park, Yuan Yuan gets her revenge by playfully tormenting Jin Xiaorui.

Later, he arranges a romantic surprise, confessing his insecurities over a loudspeaker before revealing himself with a heart-shaped light display. He admits he wasn't intentionally deceptive but felt inadequate and now wants to become a better person for her. Touched by his sincerity, Yuan Yuan assures him that he is perfect as he is and that they can grow better together. They share a kiss just as a fireworks display begins.

Meanwhile, Xu Xiaodong and Lei Chuxia watch the same fireworks display. He reveals he brought her to this specific park because he saw it in her old home videos and hoped to replace her recent nightmares of falling with happy childhood memories. Looking at the sky, Lei Chuxia feels overwhelmed with gratitude for her parents, her friends, and especially for Xu Xiaodong's constant companionship, remarking on how fortunate she is.

Following the trip, Lei Chuxia and Xu Xiaodong visit her psychiatrist, Dr. Tian Yu. The doctor concludes that while the park may have sparked feelings of déjà vu, it didn't unlock new memories. She recommends that Chuxia spend time with someone she was once intimate with. The only candidate is her former fiancé, Wei Xuanhe, a suggestion that makes Xu Xiaodong intensely jealous.

Despite his protests, Chuxia resolves to try, wanting to piece together her past so she can reunite with her parents. When she meets with Wei Xuanhe, he agrees to help, but is secretly alarmed that she is starting to remember things and decides he must keep her close to control the situation. At Xu Xiaodong's office, his boss, Zhou Sui, pulls him aside.

Ecstatic about the success of a recent project Xu Xiaodong contributed to, Zhou Sui explains he is on the verge of a major promotion to director and needs Xiaodong's help on one more crucial task. Xu Xiaodong agrees, but instead of a raise, he demands access to the company's core server room. Zhou Sui initially balks, explaining it's off-limits to interns, but caves when Xu Xiaodong threatens to withdraw his help.

While they negotiate, Lei Chuxia, sitting nearby, finds herself captivated by Xu Xiaodong's focused expression as he works, sketching him and secretly taking his photo. Her quiet moment is interrupted by a call from Wei Xuanhe. He arranges to meet her at the very spot he first proposed years ago. He presents her with their old wedding album and the original engagement ring, asking her to marry him so they can finally fulfill their promise.

However, Lei Chuxia gently turns him down. She explains that she cannot enter into a marriage, which she views as a sacred commitment, for the sole purpose of recovering her memories, as it would be unfair to him. She returns both the ring and the key to the apartment they once planned to share. Furious at the rejection, Wei Xuanhe retaliates.

He tells Lei Chuxia’s parents that he and Chuxia are getting married, a confusing lie that prompts them to leave their nursing home and return. Xu Xiaodong receives a text from the nursing home about their departure and, using his "Winter" alias, informs Lei Chuxia. The news throws her into a panic.

She explains to Xu Xiaodong that she cannot meet them; not only is her magnetic field-stabilizing wristband broken, which could endanger her mother's pacemaker, but she also fears that whoever was responsible for her fall ten years ago might harm her parents if she reappears. Determined to help, Xu Xiaodong contacts Professor Chen, who quickly builds a prototype magnetic field stabilization suit. Unfortunately, the suit is large and unwieldy.

While trying to figure out how Chuxia could wear it discreetly, Xu Xiaodong is inspired by a giant teddy bear prize in his apartment. He hollows out the bear, places the stabilization suit inside, and presents Lei Chuxia with the perfect disguise: a way to get close to her parents without revealing her identity or interfering with her mother's pacemaker. Disguised as the bear, Lei Chuxia accompanies Xu Xiaodong to pick up her parents.

Back at their home, she has an emotional and anonymous reunion as her parents reminisce about her favorite foods and their unwavering hope for her return, all while feeding her bites of food. Chuxia is overcome with emotion, hugging her mother while still in costume. The touching scene is shattered by the arrival of Wei Xuanhe. Ignoring Xu Xiaodong's warnings, he purposefully exposes her, ripping the bear head off in front of her stunned parents.

Panicked and afraid of bringing them harm, Lei Chuxia flees the apartment, with her distraught parents calling after her. As they run after their daughter, an incensed Xu Xiaodong punches Wei Xuanhe for his cruel interference.

Episode 12 Recap

Despite Wei Xuanhe’s attempt to intervene, Lei Chuxia’s parents catch up to her. Overwhelmed, Chuxia runs away as her mother tearfully pleads for her to come home. Chuxia insists they have the wrong person. Seeing his daughter's distress, Chuxia's father calms his wife, sensing that Chuxia must have her reasons for not acknowledging them. He pulls Xu Xiaodong aside, entrusting him with the care of his "friend," whom he knows is their cherished daughter.

Later, a dejected Lei Chuxia confides in Xu Xiaodong, lamenting that all she wants is a normal life with her parents, free from the terrifying gaps in her memory. Bolstered by Xu Xiaodong’s support, she resolves to face the danger and tell her parents the truth, unable to bear them living in sorrow any longer.

Xu Xiaodong arranges another meeting, where he explains to her parents that Chuxia has amnesia and cannot reunite with them yet due to unresolved dangers from her past. They are heartbroken but understanding. Her mother devises a plan: since Chuxia always dreamed of being a pastry chef, they will revisit all the places they traveled to, collecting recipes for her favorite desserts, hoping the familiar tastes might trigger her memories.

They promise to wait for her and ask Xu Xiaodong to pass on their unwavering support. Meanwhile, Wei Xuanhe's relationship with Qin Yue deepens. When Qin Yue is pressured to drink with difficult clients, Wei Xuanhe, initially dismissive, changes his mind and comes to her rescue, drinking heavily on her behalf. Afterwards, Qin Yue senses his concern for her, noting that his heart is starting to waver, though he stubbornly denies it.

Back at his apartment, he allows her to leave some of her belongings, a significant step in their relationship. However, his walls remain up; when he receives a call from Zhao Yaoyang about a security breach at Yao Yang Tech, he sharply warns Qin Yue not to cross certain boundaries. Zhao Yaoyang informs him their server was hacked and the source code deciphered, suggesting someone is investigating the past. Wei Xuanhe, however, seems unconcerned.

Lei Chuxia’s wristband is finally repaired, granting her the freedom to move around on her own. Just as she celebrates her newfound independence, Xu Xiaodong receives a message from his colleague, Zhou Sui, informing him of a rare opportunity to access Yao Yang Tech’s mainframe room during its relocation. Encouraged by Chuxia, he heads to the company. Zhou Sui provides Xu Xiaodong with a worker's uniform to sneak in, admitting that neither of them has the proper clearance.

After some playful interrogation, Zhou Sui confirms his suspicion that Xu Xiaodong intends to copy the company's source code. Xu Xiaodong cleverly leverages a project he just completed to ensure Zhou Sui's full cooperation. He successfully bluffs his way past security and into the server room. Shortly after Xu Xiaodong copies the source code, an alarm is triggered throughout Yao Yang Tech.

Management immediately suspects an inside job and launches a full-scale investigation, demanding that all employees surrender their computers, hard drives, and mobile phones for inspection. While his colleagues panic, Xu Xiaodong remains composed. In the washroom, a terrified Zhou Sui confronts him. Xu Xiaodong calmly explains that he anticipated the alarm, as it’s a security feature designed to activate when the encrypted code is cracked.

He proceeds to playfully torment Zhou Sui by pretending he forgot to erase the surveillance footage, only to reveal that he meticulously covered all his tracks, even knowing that the main entrance camera had been broken for a week. The company's drastic reaction confirms Xu Xiaodong's suspicion that the source code contains a major secret about Zhao Yaoyang. While Xu Xiaodong is at work, Lei Chuxia uses Turing to analyze the fragments of her past.

She recalls Wei Xuanhe taking her to the Peninsula Restaurant, which he claimed they had always wanted to visit during college but never could. Turing flags an inconsistency: the restaurant opened in 2012, a year after her disappearance. The realization that Wei Xuanhe lied to her leaves Chuxia deeply unsettled. At Summer Time, as her friend Yuan Yuan prepares for the shop's tenth anniversary, another memory surfaces.

While watching Yuan Yuan search through a box, Chuxia vividly recalls seeing Wei Xuanhe in her bedroom on the night she disappeared, frantically rummaging through her things. She remembers him saying, "This is a critical period for my first venture. You can't do this to me." After confirming the date of her disappearance with Yuan Yuan, she realizes the gravity of this memory and rushes to see her therapist, Dr. Tian Yu.

She tries to call Xu Xiaodong, but his phone has been confiscated. She sends him a text message instead, urging him to call her back. In the taxi, she pieces everything together: Wei Xuanhe lied about the restaurant, and his alibi for the night she vanished is now shattered. For the first time, she suspects he is directly connected to her disappearance. Elsewhere, a desperate physicist named Wang Yixin forces his way into Shanyun Hulian to see Wei Xuanhe.

He tells Wei Xuanhe that he knows Lei Chuxia's secret: she didn't age for ten years because she was attached to a gravitational wave, and her wristband acts as a stabilizer. He proposes a collaboration, offering to help restore Chuxia's memory in exchange for research funding.

Intrigued, Wei Xuanhe looks up information on gravitational waves, pondering Chuxia’s mysterious return at such a critical point in his career and fearing that she may be starting to remember what truly happened ten years ago.

Episode 13 Recap

On the phone, Wei Xuanhe learns from an unsuspecting Lei Chuxia that she is at a psychology clinic for a session that might help restore her memory. Panicked that she will remember the truth, he immediately rushes out to find her, ignoring Qin Yue's attempts to stop him. After he leaves, a distraught Qin Yue decides to seek out Wang Yixin herself. Wei Xuanhe finds Lei Chuxia at the Tian Yu Psychology Centre.

She directly confronts him about inconsistencies in his stories, specifically asking what he was looking for in her house on the night she disappeared ten years ago. He gives a vague and evasive answer about business documents. Sensing something is amiss, Dr. Tian Yu suggests she and Chuxia continue their session alone, but Chuxia insists Xuanhe stay, hoping he can verify the memories she is about to recall.

During the session, Chuxia describes a memory of running on a mountain path and seeing a signpost with a distinctive cloud-like emblem. To regain her trust and lower her guard, Xuanhe identifies the emblem as the Tongcheng University badge. He suggests the mountain she saw is the one behind their old university, a place they used to frequent. He offers to take her there to jog her memory, and she agrees.

Meanwhile, Xu Xiaodong finally gets his phone back from the security check. His AI, Turing, informs him that the source code from Yao Yang Tech is a near-perfect match to the code developed by his late father. Turing also reveals a critical piece of information: when Xiaodong cracked the code, the security alert was sent to two locations—Yao Yang Tech and Wei Xuanhe's company, Cyber Tech.

Xiaodong now knows that Zhao Yaoyang was behind his father's ruin and strongly suspects Xuanhe was also involved. Just then, he sees a message from Chuxia. Unable to reach her by phone, he calls Dr. Tian, who tells him Chuxia has gone to the back mountain of Tongcheng University with Xuanhe. Fearing for her safety, Xiaodong rushes to find her. At the back mountain, the familiar surroundings trigger Chuxia's memories.

In a flood of terrifying flashbacks, she finally remembers the truth: Wei Xuanhe was the one chasing her, causing her to fall from the cliff ten years ago. As she recoils from him in horror, the full moon's power activates, and she vanishes in a flash of light just as a desperate Xu Xiaodong arrives on the scene. Lei Chuxia awakens in her childhood bedroom, ten years in the past, on the very night of her fall.

She is overjoyed to find her parents alive and well. Her happiness is short-lived, however, as Wei Xuanhe soon arrives for dinner. Now aware of his betrayal, Chuxia is cold and distant. He pulls her into her room, speaks cryptically about her ruining their future, and frantically searches for an unknown document. After receiving a phone call, he leaves abruptly.

Recalling that she mysteriously left home between 7:30 and 8:00 PM that night, Chuxia resolves to stay inside no matter what, determined to prevent the tragedy from happening again. Back in the present, Xu Xiaodong is frantic. He, Yuan Yuan, and Jin Xiaorui search for Chuxia through the night. Yuan Yuan walks until her feet are raw, terrified that Chuxia has amnesia again and is all alone.

After an exhaustive and fruitless search, Jin Xiaorui persuades the distraught Xiaodong and injured Yuan Yuan to go home and rest. At home, a devastated Xiaodong recalls his father once telling him that loving someone grants you a magical strength. The memory calms his racing heart, and with renewed composure, he instructs Turing to begin a new, systematic search based on all the locations important to Chuxia.

Believing Lei Chuxia is gone for good, a relieved Wei Xuanhe returns to his apartment building. He finds Qin Yue waiting for him with a homemade meal. Touched by her persistence, he listens as she confesses her love for him once more. With Chuxia no longer an obstacle, Xuanhe finally reciprocates, taking her hand as they head home together.

Episode 14 Recap

Back in the past, ten years ago, Lei Chuxia sets up elaborate traps in her home, determined not to leave and repeat the tragedy of falling off the cliff. Her plan is derailed when her father, sorting through a pile of old newspapers, finds a file folder from Piggy Tech. Believing it belongs to Wei Xuanhe, he gives it to Chuxia.

Inside, she is shocked to find not company documents, but the patent certificate belonging to Xu Xiaodong's father, Xu Wei Yi. The pieces click into place, and she realizes Wei Xuanhe stole the patent and traded it to Piggy Tech in exchange for a hidden stake in their company. Just then, a news report announces that Xu Wei Yi has been hospitalized with a heart attack after being framed for plagiarism.

Believing that her purpose in traveling back in time is to save him, Chuxia abandons her self-imposed confinement and rushes out, heading for Lin Shan Hospital. On her way, she collides with a young man on a bicycle, a hurried Xu Xiaodong on his way to see his father, though they don't recognize each other. Chuxia's journey is intercepted by Wei Xuanhe, who chases her to the back mountain of Tongcheng University.

Cornered at the edge of the same cliff from her memories, she watches in horror as he reaches for the documents in her hand, recreating the scene of her original fall. As she falls, her trajectory is altered by a time-travel experiment being conducted in the future by the scientist Wang Yixin, funded by Wei Xuanhe.

Instead of hitting the ground, Chuxia is propelled ten years forward, materializing in the present day right in the middle of Wei Xuanhe's living room. A startled Wei Xuanhe and his girlfriend, Qin Yue, stare in disbelief. He quickly sends Qin Yue away, who then hides to eavesdrop on their conversation.

Lei Chuxia immediately confronts Wei Xuanhe with the truth she discovered in the past: that he stole Xu Wei Yi's patent, which led to the man's death and the ruin of his family, all so he could fund his own company. However, Wei Xuanhe, having prepared for this moment for a decade, expertly turns the story against her.

He claims that it was she who stole the patent out of a desperate love for him, hoping to help his career after his own father disapproved of their relationship. To support his lies, he presents old newspaper clippings and a news video showing her at Xu Wei Yi's company on the day of the scandal.

He then reframes her fall from the cliff not as his crime, but as her own guilt-ridden suicide attempt, which he heroically tried to prevent. Completely deceived, Chuxia is crushed by a wave of manufactured guilt. As she breaks down, she reveals a crucial piece of information that shocks Wei Xuanhe: Xu Xiaodong is Xu Wei Yi's son. Meanwhile, Xu Xiaodong's AI, Turing, detects Chuxia's reappearance and sends him her location.

He calls Yuan Yuan and Jin Xiaorui before racing to find her. He discovers a distraught Chuxia by a river and, unable to hold back any longer, confesses his love for her. Burdened by the belief that she is responsible for his father's death, Chuxia cannot bring herself to respond. He senses she is hiding something and assures her that no matter what happened, he will face it with her.

When Yuan Yuan and Jin Xiaorui arrive, Chuxia remains distant, giving them a confusing, fragmented account of her time travel experience. Elsewhere, the ever-cautious Wei Xuanhe contacts his associate Zhao Yaoyang, ordering an immediate investigation into Xu Xiaodong. Qin Yue, suspicious of what she overheard, finds the eccentric scientist Wang Yixin and tells him about Chuxia's sudden materialization. Hearing this, Wang Yixin is overjoyed, realizing his time travel experiments have finally succeeded.

Desperate to uncover the real memories and clear Xu Wei Yi's name, Lei Chuxia contacts her therapist, Dr. Tian Yu, for another hypnosis session. Dr. Tian agrees on the condition that a friend or family member accompanies her. Believing Wei Xuanhe is her only ally, Chuxia calls him. Just as they begin the session, Xu Xiaodong learns of her whereabouts and rushes to the clinic, arriving in a downpour. He is devastated to see Chuxia inside with Wei Xuanhe.

When the session ends, Chuxia emerges, wordlessly hands Xiaodong an umbrella, and then gets into Wei Xuanhe's car, leaving him heartbroken in the rain. After standing in the cold rain, Xu Xiaodong collapses with a high fever. Chuxia finds him and rushes him to the hospital. As she cares for him, he sadly remarks that even though she is physically close, she feels a world away, and asks if something terrible happened to her.

Overwhelmed with guilt, Chuxia is unable to answer. While they are at the hospital, Yuan Yuan worries about leaving them alone, but Jin Xiaorui insists it's his "love hack" to give them space to reconcile, before attempting to charm Yuan Yuan with cheesy pickup lines.

Episode 15 Recap

Instigated by Wei Xuanhe, Qin Yue arrives at Summer Time during business hours with a camera crew in tow. She starts a live broadcast, falsely accusing Lei Chuxia’s popular dessert shop of using cheap ingredients and causing food poisoning among her followers. Lei Chuxia confronts her, defending the shop's integrity and challenging Qin Yue to provide proof, vowing to take full responsibility if the claims are true, but demanding a public apology if they are not.

Qin Yue then corners Chuxia, snatches the electronic bracelet from her wrist, and threatens to reveal to Xu Xiaodong the truth about who was responsible for his father's death. The combination of the public accusation and Qin Yue’s threat overwhelms Lei Chuxia. Her emotions spiral out of control, causing the shop's lights and electronic devices to flicker and spark violently. The customers, witnessing the strange phenomenon, excitedly start filming, speculating that she has superpowers.

The chaos forces the staff to close the shop early. From his hospital bed, Xu Xiaodong sees the live stream of the incident at Summer Time. Without a second thought, he rips the IV drip from his arm and rushes to the shop. He finds Lei Chuxia sitting in a daze and carries her away from the scene. Once they are safe, he pleads with her to never push him away again, no matter what happens.

His unwavering support gives her the courage to confess what Wei Xuanhe told her. She admits that when she traveled back ten years, she learned she was the one who framed Xu Xiaodong's father. Yuan Yuan is furious and staunchly refuses to believe that Lei Chuxia is capable of such a crime. She insists that Xu Xiaodong should trust Chuxia unconditionally. Jin Xiaorui, however, is more measured.

Understanding the weight of the situation for his best friend, he states that Xu Xiaodong needs time to process everything and leaves to comfort him. Alone with Yuan Yuan, Chuxia admits that even she can't trust herself anymore and feels an overwhelming need to atone for a crime she doesn't remember committing. To help her, Yuan Yuan brings out a box of their childhood mementos, reminding Chuxia of her inherently kind nature.

While looking through old photos, Chuxia notices several have been cut in half, but when she asks why, Yuan Yuan nervously changes the subject. Meanwhile, Xu Xiaodong is deeply conflicted. He recalls his father’s old advice to ignore the noise and trust his own heart. His thoughts are interrupted by Jin Xiaorui, who arrives with beer and video games to distract him.

Jin Xiaorui notes how devastated Lei Chuxia appeared and asks if Xu Xiaodong truly believes she is the culprit, but a confused Xu Xiaodong offers no answer. Wei Xuanhe learns about Qin Yue's disastrous live stream and immediately has it shut down. When she confronts him, he lies, claiming he's protecting the company from a scandal, not Lei Chuxia.

Their conversation is cut short by the arrival of Zhao Yaoyang, who has investigated Xu Xiaodong and dismisses him as an incompetent fool. Wei Xuanhe, however, remains wary, sensing that Xu Xiaodong is not as simple as he appears. He delays using the stolen source code for his "Family First" app and instructs his assistant, Li Geng, to dig up everything he can on Xu Xiaodong.

Following their meeting, Zhao Yaoyang has Xu Xiaodong summoned to the Yao Yang Tech office late at night, only to unceremoniously fire him. As this happens, Li Geng attempts to break into Xu Xiaodong's apartment to search for evidence, but he is discovered by watchful neighborhood ladies who mistake him for a burglar and scare him off. After a long night of soul-searching, Xu Xiaodong decides to follow his father's advice and trust his heart.

He chooses to believe in Lei Chuxia. The next day, he finds her being harassed at her shop by a crowd eager to see her "superpowers." He fiercely defends her, scolds the crowd for their intrusive behavior, and leads her away. Lei Chuxia is moved that he believes in her innocence, and he reveals a plan to clear her name. They stage a new live stream, where Lei Chuxia comically pretends to have superpowers, using over-the-top special effects.

The performance climaxes with the reveal of a new "Alien Cake," successfully convincing the online audience that the whole superpower incident was just an elaborate marketing stunt. Later, Lei Chuxia receives a package from her parents containing a video message. They encourage her to always listen to her inner voice, reminding her that it's what led her to her dream of becoming a dessert chef.

At the same time, Xu Xiaodong is alerted by his home security AI about the attempted break-in. Realizing it must be connected to his firing, he immediately calls Zhao Yaoyang to arrange a meeting.

Episode 16 Recap

Xu Xiaodong effortlessly bypasses the security at Yao Yang Tech and confronts Zhao Yaoyang in his office. He gives Zhao a 24-hour ultimatum: reveal the truth about the patent theft from ten years ago, or Xu Xiaodong will expose all of Zhao's dirty secrets. A panicked Zhao Yaoyang immediately calls Wei Xuanhe, warning him that he underestimated Xu Xiaodong and that their past secrets are about to be uncovered. He then retreats to a secret villa to hide.

Furious that Zhao is trying to shirk responsibility, Wei Xuanhe orders his assistant, Li Geng, to find Zhao and to keep a close watch on both Xu Xiaodong and Lei Chuxia. Xu Xiaodong, having discovered the location of Zhao's villa through his own investigation, prepares to stake out the location with Jin Xiaorui. Feeling that he is being followed and not wanting to endanger Lei Chuxia, he tells Jin Xiaorui to keep their destination a secret from her.

However, Yuan Yuan gets the information from Jin Xiaorui and, believing Lei Chuxia has a right to be involved in clearing her own name, accompanies her to the villa. The two women follow the men, and the four of them set up camp outside the property. Xu Xiaodong has installed a motion capture system that will alert them to any activity inside, allowing them to rest.

That evening, as they wait, Xu Xiaodong sits under an old tree, lost in thought. He tells Lei Chuxia that the spot reminds him of his father, who used to share his joys and sorrows with a tree just like it. He opens up about his rebellious youth and his determination to clear his father's name.

As they gaze at the stars, he points out the Neo comet, explaining that it won't pass by Earth again for another six thousand years. Lei Chuxia muses that its return must be a "trajectory of love," drawn back by something it holds dear on Earth. Just then, a meteor streaks across the sky, and she quickly makes a wish. Their romantic moment is abruptly interrupted by Yuan Yuan and Jin Xiaorui.

Later that night, to ensure the women can sleep peacefully in the tent, Xu Xiaodong and Jin Xiaorui sit outside, offering themselves up as bait for the mosquitoes. The next morning, Zhao Yaoyang finally emerges from the villa, only to be ambushed by Li Geng and his men. Xu Xiaodong's alarm goes off, and he rushes in to help, saving Zhao from a severe beating. During the fight, Xu Xiaodong's arm is badly injured.

In return for his help, Zhao Yaoyang reveals a piece of the truth: the patent was given to him by a woman named Gu Xiaoqi. Xu Xiaodong is stunned, recognizing her as his father's trusted secretary. Zhao refuses to say more, telling them that Wei Xuanhe knows everything. Xu Xiaodong is rushed to the hospital, where his arm requires over twenty stitches. Enraged and worried, Lei Chuxia goes to Cyber Tech to confront Wei Xuanhe.

She accuses him of colluding with others to steal the patent and frame her. Wei Xuanhe coldly denies everything and demands proof. Overwhelmed with emotion, Lei Chuxia removes her bracelet, causing the lights and electronics in his office to flicker and short out, a silent threat of her uncontrolled power. Though he appears calm, Wei Xuanhe is secretly terrified.

He immediately contacts Wang Yixin, demanding that he repair his machine and make Lei Chuxia disappear, uncaring of the risk that she could be permanently lost in the universe. Meanwhile, Yuan Yuan shows Lei Chuxia some old photos from their university days with a person cut out. She reveals that the missing person is Gu Xiaoqi, who was once their close friend. However, their friendship became strained for unknown reasons shortly before Lei Chuxia's disappearance ten years ago.

After she vanished, Gu Xiaoqi never once reached out, which prompted an angry Yuan Yuan to literally cut her out of their memories. The new lead seems promising, but when Xu Xiaodong and Lei Chuxia go to Gu Xiaoqi's last known address, they learn from a neighbor that she died in a car accident eight years prior. Once again, their investigation hits a dead end.

In the wake of his confession, Xu Xiaodong and Lei Chuxia find themselves feeling awkward when they're alone together. Noticing the strange tension, Yuan Yuan advises Lei Chuxia to be direct and confess her own feelings. However, her attempts are repeatedly and comically thwarted by an oblivious Jin Xiaorui. As an apology for his interruptions, Jin Xiaorui gives Lei Chuxia two tickets to a "Future of High-Tech Artificial Intelligence" exhibition, knowing it's something Xu Xiaodong would love.

Lei Chuxia gives the tickets to Xu Xiaodong, hoping he'll understand it's an invitation for a date. Instead, he gets excited about the exhibition and immediately suggests taking Jin Xiaorui, completely missing her romantic intentions.

Episode 17 Recap

Qin Yue approached Lei Chuxia to apologize for the trouble caused by the live broadcast, which exposed Lei Chuxia's bracelet at Summer Time. Lei Chuxia accepted the apology. Qin Yue then asked for a favor, suggesting Lei Chuxia let go of the past and stop hurting Wei Xuanhe, as he was willing to keep her secret and cover up everything from ten years ago.

Lei Chuxia questioned if that was Wei Xuanhe's version of events, noting that Qin Yue must have overheard it when Lei Chuxia confronted him at his house. Lei Chuxia countered, stating that the truth was the opposite of what Qin Yue believed. She admitted she had no proof at that moment but warned Qin Yue that Wei Xuanhe was utterly undeserving of her trust.

Qin Yue, disbelieving without evidence, said she had nothing more to add but still hoped Lei Chuxia would help her, then left. Later, Lei Chuxia left a message in an online game for "The Great Winter," confiding that she had seriously fallen for a completely clueless guy. Xu Xiaodong, playing as "The Great Winter," saw the message and immediately asked who the guy was.

The next morning, Xu Xiaodong, who had evidently not slept well pondering Lei Chuxia's confession, was visibly annoyed by her cheerful mood. When Xu Xiaodong announced he was heading to a technology fair, Lei Chuxia, expressing her own interest in high-tech, asked to join him. After he went to change, they set off on a bicycle. Lei Chuxia's attempt to pedal with Xu Xiaodong on the back proved futile, so he took the lead, placing her in front.

At the technology fair, Xu Xiaodong spoke about his father's predictions of future technology delving into human emotions, noting the exhibition's theme, "how you will live tomorrow." He asked Lei Chuxia if she was curious about his future life. Lei Chuxia then initiated a surprise, asking him to walk away and close his eyes. When he opened them, screens around the hall were playing back their shared memories.

He then received a call from her, instructing him to follow a drone overhead. From a higher vantage point, Lei Chuxia spoke to him over the phone, expressing her desire for a simple, happy life, forever with the man she loved. As the drone carried an "I like you" banner towards Xu Xiaodong, Lei Chuxia revealed her heartfelt confession, "And the man I love is you, Xiao Dong."

She emphasized that girls could be proactive in love and asked for his answer. Overwhelmed with emotion, Xu Xiaodong began running towards her, eager to respond. However, Wei Xuanhe suddenly appeared before Lei Chuxia, asserting that he needed to tell her critical information about Xu Weiyi from ten years ago. Drawn by the promise of truth, Lei Chuxia left with Wei Xuanhe just as Xu Xiaodong arrived, witnessing them depart together.

Wei Xuanhe led Lei Chuxia to Wang Yixin's old warehouse, using the lure of the patent certificate's whereabouts to trick her. He spoke of his worry after her disappearance ten years ago, mentioning his inability to find the patent certificate at the cliff despite seeing her with it. He claimed to have recently realized the patent certificate didn't exist in this dimension, just like her. Lei Chuxia, seeing Wang Yixin, realized it was a trap.

Wei Xuanhe forcefully took her bracelet and pushed her under Wang Yixin's experimental machine, ordering Wang Yixin to accelerate its process. He declared that Lei Chuxia should return to her own dimension and stop disrupting his. As the machine activated, Xu Xiaodong burst in, immediately engaging Wei Xuanhe in a struggle. Qin Yue also arrived, hesitant about who to help. Xu Xiaodong, desperately pleading, urged her to give the bracelet back to Lei Chuxia.

After a moment of internal conflict, Qin Yue threw the bracelet to Lei Chuxia, but it was too late. Lei Chuxia cried out for her mother as she was pulled into the machine's vortex and vanished. Lei Chuxia found herself disoriented, seeing snow, and learned from a passerby that it was 2011. She realized she had once again traveled back ten years, to November 17, the day before her fateful fall.

Believing Wang Yixin's machine caused this specific time jump, she resolved to use this second chance to prevent the tragedy. At home, she found a note from her father, acknowledging her recent low mood and reminding her to wear warm clothes. Lei Chuxia planned to find the patent certificate early to prove Xu Weiyi's innocence. Unable to locate the patent book at home, she went to Wei Yi Tech to find Xu Weiyi.

The receptionist informed her that Xu Weiyi was on a business trip. Lei Chuxia insisted on speaking with him, emphasizing the urgency of her matter, and the receptionist reluctantly placed a call. Gu Xiaoqi, Xu Weiyi's secretary, answered and, recognizing Lei Chuxia's voice, quickly interjected, claiming Lei Chuxia was her college friend whose phone had died, thus excusing the interruption before hanging up.

Lei Chuxia angrily confronted Gu Xiaoqi over the phone, accusing her of immoral acts with Wei Xuanhe and urging her to confess to Xu Weiyi before it was too late. Gu Xiaoqi dismissed Lei Chuxia's words as nonsensical and demanded proof, then added that Lei Chuxia already knew the reason for her actions before disconnecting the call and switching off her phone.

Frustrated, Lei Chuxia tried to convince the receptionist about Gu Xiaoqi's intentions, even claiming to be Xu Weiyi's "future daughter-in-law" and capable of seeing the future, which made the receptionist believe she needed a doctor. At that moment, a rebellious, "non-mainstream" Xu Xiaodong appeared, demanding game coins from the receptionist for a new avatar. Lei Chuxia recognized that she was the "strange older sister" he had mentioned meeting in his past.

She scolded him for skipping school and grabbed his ear stud. He called her an "old lady," which further confirmed her identity from his future story about meeting an "old fairy lady." A receptionist handed Xu Xiaodong a repaired handheld console from his father, explaining that his father would play with him after his meeting and that the money spent on the repair was to be considered his pocket money.

Xu Xiaodong, however, cynically dismissed his father's gestures, believing work always came first. Lei Chuxia saw the engraving "To Xiao Dong, my son" on the handheld, confirming it was the same one from his stories. She firmly told him his father cared, then literally dragged him home by his hair. At the house, they met Shen Weiwei, Xu Xiaodong's aunt, who thanked Lei Chuxia for bringing him home.

Lei Chuxia left her contact number for Xu Weiyi, asking Xu Xiaodong to tell his father to be wary of Piggy Tech and to call her with important information. Xu Xiaodong dismissed her words as typical adult nagging, while Shen Weiwei also scolded him for his truancy. Recognizing that directly warning Xu Weiyi was proving difficult, Lei Chuxia contemplated other avenues for help. Spotting someone with a cake, she thought of Summer Time.

She went to the cafe, where a younger, chubbier Yuan Yuan greeted her, asking when Lei Chuxia would move her belongings from Gu Xiaoqi's place. Lei Chuxia, feigning amnesia, inquired if she had been acting unusually. Yuan Yuan, ever the perceptive friend, noted that Lei Chuxia seemed preoccupied and less enthusiastic about her impending wedding to Wei Xuanhe, urging her to confide in her best friend. Yuan Yuan also mentioned Lei Chuxia had already retrieved the apartment keys.

Armed with the key, Lei Chuxia arrived at Gu Xiaoqi's messy apartment. On a desk, she found a note in her own handwriting, stating, "I took the stuff." Despite her efforts, Lei Chuxia couldn't recall what she had taken. While searching for clues, she discovered two photos of Wei Xuanhe. On their backs were deeply emotional messages written by Gu Xiaoqi, expressing sentiments like, "As long as you remember me, it doesn't matter if other people forget me.

Qi" and "You're the surprise I've been waiting for. Qi." Lei Chuxia finally understood why her past self had been so upset at the mention of Gu Xiaoqi, realizing her college friend had secretly harbored a four-year-long unrequited love for Wei Xuanhe and was even willing to steal the patent book for him. She recalled Gu Xiaoqi's self-sacrificing acts for Wei Xuanhe, and her confession that her closeness to Lei Chuxia was merely a means to see him more often.

This revelation brought a wave of sadness, reflecting on her past self's sorrow and guilt over Xu Weiyi's situation, and wondering about her thoughts as she fell from the cliff. She lamented that drawing closer to the truth only deepened her pain. Despite her despair, Lei Chuxia found renewed determination, remembering Xu Xiaodong's unwavering efforts for her in the future. She then noticed a flyer for Piggy Tech's new system launch event and resolved to attend it to thwart Wei Xuanhe's plans.

Episode 18 Recap

In 2012, immediately after Lei Chuxia vanishes, a horrified Qin Yue confronts Wei Xuanhe, demanding to know if he truly doesn't care whether Chuxia lives or dies. Wei Xuanhe, feeling victorious, coldly states that Chuxia's fate is between her and the universe, and that he was merely putting things back on their proper course since she never belonged in their world. He shamelessly insists that everything he did was for the two of them, to secure their future together.

Meanwhile, Xu Xiaodong rushes to Professor Chen Mo's 415 lab, where Yuan Yuan and Jin Xiaorui are already waiting with a computer equipped with a tracking system designed specifically to find Chuxia. Their efforts are futile, as they soon discover that Wang Yixin has cleared out his hideout, taking all the machine's components with him. They realize that finding Wang Yixin is the only way to save Chuxia. Their spirits are low until Shen Weiwei arrives.

After Yuan Yuan explains the situation, Shen Weiwei encourages them not to lose hope, giving a heartfelt speech about her belief that love can transcend the boundaries of time and space, and that if they hold on to that love, Chuxia will surely return to them. Back in 2011, on the night before the press conference, Lei Chuxia finds herself at the dinner table with her parents.

She asks them what they would do if they faced a situation where the outcome seemed unchangeable. Her parents advise her to persevere, as one never knows what can happen until the very end, and that acting is important to avoid future regrets. During the meal, her father mentions receiving a strange phone call from a woman looking for an "Old Fairy Lady," claiming her nephew had run away.

Realizing this is Shen Weiwei looking for her to help a young Xu Xiaodong, Chuxia immediately runs out. She finds a distraught Xiaodong on a swing set in a nearby park and comforts him, telling him that when you miss someone, you should look at the moon, because it is constant and the person you miss is likely looking at the same moon.

In 2012, the older Xu Xiaodong sits on the very same swing set, gazing at the moon and longing for the now-vanished Chuxia. The next day, November 18th, 2011, Chuxia goes to the Piggy Tech new system press conference, determined to stop Wei Xuanhe. She is denied entry without an invitation.

Inside, Xuanhe finalizes his deal with Zhao Yaoyang, who smugly mentions that they owe their success to Gu Xiaoqi, who not only cleverly stole the complete patent but also lured Xu Weiyi away, all for her unrequited love for Xuanhe. Chuxia finally manages to confront Xuanhe and begs him to call off the conference and abandon his scheme.

He pulls her into a private room and confesses, justifying his plagiarism by explaining that his own company was failing and he couldn't stand being a disappointment to his family. When Chuxia asks if he has changed or if she simply never knew the real him, and warns him that happiness cannot be built on the suffering of others, he dismisses her pleas and locks her in the room. By the time Chuxia escapes, the press conference is underway.

She watches in horror as Xu Weiyi storms the stage to accuse Piggy Tech of plagiarism, only to be publicly humiliated when Zhao Yaoyang presents a legally binding patent that predates his own. Crushed, Xu Weiyi learns his own patent application has been rejected and is immediately swarmed by the media. Having failed to change the past, Chuxia leaves the venue and finds a devastated Xu Xiaodong in the snow.

She encourages him, telling him to never lose the courage to face adversity and that someone, somewhere, is fighting for him. She insists that it's not over and that they can still change everything. In 2012, Qin Yue, now fully aware of the truth, confronts Wei Xuanhe again at his Cyber Tech office. She tells him she finally understands how different they are; while she is ambitious, she would never build her success on another's pain.

She questions if she was wrong about him or if she ever truly knew him at all. Her words stun Xuanhe, as they are nearly identical to what Lei Chuxia had told him ten years prior. Filled with remorse, Qin Yue goes to the lab and apologizes to Xu Xiaodong, explaining she was also deceived. Xiaodong reassures her, saying that by giving Chuxia the bracelet, she likely saved her from greater danger.

To make amends, Qin Yue offers a plan: she can use Xuanhe's name to lure Wang Yixin out of hiding. The plan works. With Qin Yue's help, Xu Xiaodong, Jin Xiaorui, and Yuan Yuan track down and corner Wang Yixin. They demand he hand over the machine, but he informs them that it is broken and only he can repair it.

He agrees to help on one condition: he must be allowed to return to the 415 lab to continue his research. Left with no other choice, Xu Xiaodong agrees. However, Wang Yixin offers a final, chilling warning, telling them not to get their hopes up, as he cannot guarantee that Lei Chuxia can be brought back.

Episode 19 Recap

Lei Chuxia arrived at Wei Yi Tech amid a media frenzy. She recalled how Wei Xuanhe once used a photo of her at Wei Yi Tech, from ten years prior when she didn't know Xu Wei Yi, as "evidence" of her supposedly stealing patent documents. Now, she understood the truth: she was there to help Xu Wei Yi, not to steal. Xu Wei Yi was not at the company.

A front desk employee, who trusted Xu Wei Yi's integrity, recognized Lei Chuxia from her previous visit and expressed concern that Lei Chuxia’s attempt to warn Xu Wei Yi about Piggy Tech yesterday failed. Still believing there was time, the employee provided Xu Wei Yi's private phone number, emphasizing its confidentiality. Lei Chuxia called Xu Wei Yi and introduced herself, immediately reassuring him that she believed in his innocence and attributed the accusations to Piggy Tech's schemes.

Xu Wei Yi expressed profound regret over sacrificing family for work, lamenting his wife's passing and his absence from his son's life. He felt deep shame for losing the patent, tarnishing his name, and implicating his family. Lei Chuxia urged him to stay strong, warning that his absence would plunge Xu Xiaodong into sorrow. Surprised, Xu Wei Yi asked if she knew Xu Xiaodong.

Lei Chuxia then revealed she was from ten years in the future, clarifying that she knew the future Xu Xiaodong. Unfazed by her incredible claim, Xu Wei Yi anxiously inquired about his son's future. Lei Chuxia assured him that Xu Xiaodong was doing well, was being cared for by his aunt, had friends, and was striving to prove his father's innocence.

Grateful, Xu Wei Yi asked Lei Chuxia to convey a message to his future son: he didn't need Xu Xiaodong to do anything for him, but only to cherish every moment of joy and live a happy life. The call abruptly disconnected. Lei Chuxia, panicked, remembered Xu Xiaodong's past words about his father seeking solace under an old tree when sad. She rushed to the tree but arrived too late, finding Xu Wei Yi had passed away.

Overwhelmed with grief, she lamented that she couldn't save him. Despite her profound sadness, Lei Chuxia resolved not to give up, fueled by past encouragement from Xu Xiaodong—who told her she could overcome any challenge as long as she had the courage to face it—and her parents, who advised her to persevere until the very end to avoid regret. The full moon reminded her that she was about to return to Xu Xiaodong.

She then confronted Gu Xiaoqi, accusing her of betraying Xu Wei Yi's trust and stealing the patent document for Wei Xuanhe's love during their university days. Lei Chuxia revealed how Gu Xiaoqi, as Xu Wei Yi's secretary, accessed the patent document, accompanied him to mail it on October 15th, then secretly returned to steal the unregistered document after he left.

Gu Xiaoqi then passed it to Wei Xuanhe, who, through Piggy Tech, filed a patent application on October 16th, before Gu Xiaoqi filed Xu Wei Yi's company's application on October 17th. When Gu Xiaoqi denied the accusations and demanded evidence, Lei Chuxia pointed to the patent document still hidden in Gu Xiaoqi's room, noting its earlier postmark which proved Xu Wei Yi's innocence and suggested Gu Xiaoqi kept it as leverage against Wei Xuanhe.

Although Gu Xiaoqi argued it was too late to change the past, Lei Chuxia instructed her to tell Wei Xuanhe to come find her, and to be careful. Lei Chuxia rushed home, realizing that to clear Xu Wei Yi's name, she must find a way to preserve the patent document for ten years into the future. It was November 18th again, and the sequence of events was restarting.

While eating dinner with her parents, Lei Chuxia, aware of the impending events, gently deflected their discussions about her marriage to Wei Xuanhe. When Wei Xuanhe arrived at their door, Lei Chuxia, already knowing he was there for the patent, directed him to look for documents in her room. He received a call and, before leaving abruptly, attempted to appeal to their shared history, claiming his actions were for her benefit.

Lei Chuxia’s parents observed Wei Xuanhe leaving in a huff, and her father suggested Wei Xuanhe should be the one to clarify any misunderstandings. Lei Chuxia then saw a news report about Xu Wei Yi’s heart attack, linking it to the plagiarism allegations. She understood that the patent document would appear at this specific time. To prevent it from disappearing as it did before, she decided to hide it.

She gathered the document, bid a silent farewell to her parents, and buried the original patent document under a red swing in the street garden, hoping to deceive time and preserve it for a decade. On her way, she encountered a young Xu Xiaodong, who was rushing to the hospital, and silently encouraged him to be strong, promising they would meet again in ten years.

Holding a decoy document, Lei Chuxia was pursued by Wei Xuanhe to the Tongcheng University back mountain, where she jumped off the cliff under the full moon. Ten years later, Lei Chuxia materialized back in the 415 laboratory, to the immense relief and joy of Xu Xiaodong and the others. As everyone's attention was on Lei Chuxia, Wang Yixin secretly activated the time machine, intending to travel through time himself.

However, he was instead condemned to wander endlessly through the river of time, a fate Professor Chen Mo considered a punishment from the universe. Lei Chuxia, prioritizing their mission, immediately pulled Xu Xiaodong away, eager to retrieve the buried patent document. On their way, Lei Chuxia explained how she went back ten years, understood the full chronology of events, and secured the original patent document from Xu Wei Yi's application, which predates Piggy Tech's filing, thus proving his innocence.

Xu Xiaodong, initially skeptical about finding it after a decade of urban changes, was reassured by Lei Chuxia's memory of burying it under the distinct red swings in the street garden. Upon arrival, after Lei Chuxia cleverly traded lollipops with children for a spade, they dug up the document. To their dismay, ten years of being buried had rendered the paper illegible. Lei Chuxia was deeply disheartened, feeling that history could not be changed despite her efforts.

Xu Xiaodong, however, comforted her, explaining that her actions profoundly changed him. Before her appearance, he was isolated in his struggle to clear his father's name, but she brought richness and meaning to his life. He asserted that he was the embodiment of her hard work and promised to continue their fight, fueled by her perseverance. With Wang Yixin gone and her safety secured, Xu Xiaodong tenderly kissed her forehead, welcoming her home.

Yuan Yuan was outraged by Wei Xuanhe's plagiarism of Xu Wei Yi's work and his past treatment of Lei Chuxia, wishing to confront him violently. Xu Xiaodong calmed her, explaining that without concrete evidence, neither Wei Xuanhe nor Zhao Yaoyang would confess, requiring them to devise a new strategy. Later, Xu Xiaodong and Lei Chuxia visited the rooftop, a place where Xu Xiaodong's father used to bring him, reflecting on its significant changes over the years.

Lei Chuxia relayed Xu Wei Yi's message to Xu Xiaodong, who recognized it as something his father would say. Xu Xiaodong then mused about a "strange person" — the "old fairy lady" — who appeared in his life at his lowest point to offer encouragement, then mysteriously vanished. Lei Chuxia playfully teased him about his past "scene" phase before revealing that she herself was that "fairy." Realizing the extraordinary coincidence, Xu Xiaodong expressed wonder at the universe.

Lei Chuxia then discovered a new QR code on the rooftop. Using Xu Xiaodong's phone, she scanned it to reveal the words "I love you." She joyfully confronted Xu Xiaodong, who confessed he had always loved her. They then shared a sweet embrace and kiss, as Xu Xiaodong wholeheartedly welcomed Lei Chuxia into his world.

Meanwhile, believing that Lei Chuxia's disappearance had erased all threats to his misdeeds, Wei Xuanhe confidently launched his "Family First system," celebrating its immediate success with millions of registrations. However, Xu Xiaodong, using an AI named Turing, performed a code comparison and discovered that "Family First" shared over 85% overlap with his father's original source code, revealing that Wei Xuanhe and Zhao Yaoyang were still shamelessly profiting from Xu Wei Yi's work. Xu Xiaodong then commanded Turing to activate its highest work mode.

Episode 20 Recap

After discovering that Wei Xuanhe's "Family First" system shares an 85% source code overlap with his father's original work, Xu Xiaodong activates the full power of his high-tech workshop. He initiates Turing's highest operational mode, preparing an attack. Lei Chuxia is surprised that Xiaodong has the clearance to do this, as he had previously told her the workshop belonged to a friend who was abroad.

Unready to reveal his identity as the programmer Winter, Xiaodong deflects her questions by teasing her and getting back to work. Lei Chuxia leaves the workshop and intercepts Wei Xuanhe in the parking garage. Startled to see her, Xuanhe angrily asks why she always appears to ruin things just as he is about to succeed. Chuxia calmly retorts that there's a difference between success and merely getting away with something.

She informs him that she knows the entire truth and that from this moment on, she will never believe a word he says before walking away. At the 415 lab, Chen Mo and Shen Weiwei share a bottle of wine. Moved by Chuxia’s impossible return, Chen Mo feels inspired to be honest about his own feelings. He confesses to Weiwei that as an astrophysicist surrounded by countless stars, he always felt lonely, as if none of them belonged to him.

But since meeting her, he feels he has finally found his own personal star. Moved to tears, Weiwei accepts his feelings, promising to draw a star for him every day and pray for his happiness. Meanwhile, Yuan Yuan and Jin Xiaorui spend a day out at the mall. Xiaorui leads Yuan Yuan to a store filled with figurines, which he calls his "other world." He is drawn to a crystal ball and a set of tarot cards.

The shop owner seizes the opportunity, claiming the crystal ball will ensure their love lasts forever and using the tarot cards to predict they will be married within ten days. An ecstatic Xiaorui immediately wants to buy them. Though Yuan Yuan is initially exasperated by his gullibility, she is touched when he says he believes in any blessing for their love. She indulges him and pays for the items herself.

Later, while working at her dessert shop, Chuxia sees a happy family and is overcome with longing for her own parents, who have been traveling to help her regain her memory. When Xu Xiaodong picks her up, he notices her sadness. He secretly arranges a surprise and takes her to her family home. Confused, she follows him to the door, where her parents open it to welcome her.

The family shares an emotional reunion, looking through old photos and reminiscing about her childhood. The next morning, Chuxia agrees to her parents' suggestion that she move back home, much to Xiaodong’s disappointment. As she packs, he tries to convince her to stay by jokingly listing her bad habits, but she sees through his reluctance to let her go.

After he helps her move her things, she thanks him for everything and gives him a kiss on the cheek, leaving him grinning foolishly. That night, they talk on a video call, and Xiaodong demands a "proper date for two" as compensation for her leaving. Their planned date, however, turns into a four-person outing when Chuxia’s enthusiastic parents decide to tag along.

Though his romantic plans are thwarted, Xiaodong is genuinely happy to see Chuxia creating new, joyful memories with her family after their ten-year separation. Wei Xuanhe, feeling confident, has Chuxia followed but learns she has taken no action against him, correctly guessing that she has no concrete evidence. At the same time, Turing's analysis of the "Family First" system uncovers a critical flaw: the system's architecture can only handle up to five million users.

Once it surpasses ten million, it will suffer severe logical errors, sending out incorrect information about medication dosages and allergens that could seriously endanger users' lives. Xiaodong immediately goes to warn Wei Xuanhe, but Xuanhe dismisses the warning as a mere attempt to ruin his career. Driven by ambition, and even after his own team confirms the fatal flaw, Xuanhe decides to proceed with a live ceremony celebrating ten million registered users. Seeing the shameless celebration video posted online, a determined Xu Xiaodong orders Turing to begin the counter-attack.

Episode 21 Recap

Using his online identity as the renowned game developer Winter, Xu Xiaodong exposes a critical vulnerability in Cyber Tech's "Family First" health app. He announces online that the system flaw poses a serious threat to users' lives, offering to fund legal action for any victims and demanding that the app be immediately taken down. The news spreads like wildfire, causing a media storm. Reporters swarm the Cyber Tech building, desperate for a comment from Wei Xuanhe.

Inside, Wei Xuanhe is furious, unable to understand why a game developer is targeting him. He orders his assistant, Li Geng, to suppress the news at any cost and find out Winter's real identity. However, the damage is already done; investors, facing a public relations crisis, begin pulling their funding one by one. Later, in his office, Wei Xuanhe is confronted directly by his mysterious adversary.

Xu Xiaodong hacks into Wei Xuanhe's computer system and, using a voice modulator to speak as Winter, warns him to take down "Family First" and issue a public apology. He tells a defiant Wei Xuanhe that this is just the beginning of his troubles. Enraged and powerless against an enemy he can't see or identify, Wei Xuanhe is left seething.

Lei Chuxia begins to suspect a connection between Xu Xiaodong and Winter, but Xu Xiaodong is not ready to reveal the truth. He wants to resolve his father's case first, hoping to stand before her as a victor. In the game "Battle of the Saints," Lei Chuxia tells Winter that she wishes for a date reminiscent of her parents' youth.

Taking her words to heart, Xu Xiaodong appears at her home late at night dressed in a high school uniform, bringing a matching one for her. After her father foils her attempt to sneak out the front door, she changes into the uniform and climbs out her bedroom window to meet him for their "high school first love" date. They have a joyful time at an arcade until the owner mistakes them for underage students and asks them to leave.

Their date continues at the beach, where Xu Xiaodong has prepared a sky lantern. As they prepare to release it, he confesses that he has been keeping a secret from her, but asks for her trust, explaining he wants to share his victory with her when the time is right. Lei Chuxia happily agrees. However, as she makes a wish, she is horrified to see her hand flicker and turn transparent.

At that same moment, the physicist Chen Mo confirms that the gravitational wave that brought Lei Chuxia to the future is rapidly weakening and will soon disappear. After Xu Xiaodong walks her home, Chen Mo finds her and explains the grim reality: when the wave vanishes, the energy sustaining her existence in this timeline will also vanish. He estimates she has, at most, fifteen days left.

At an offline fan event for "Battle of the Saints," the host, Qin Yue, is stunned to discover that her good friend Xu Xiaodong is the legendary creator, Winter. Xu Xiaodong has been secretly helping her career for years, arranging for her to host his company's events as a way to repay the kindness she showed him when he was struggling.

Now that she knows his identity, Xu Xiaodong asks her for a favor: to deliver a message to Wei Xuanhe. He wants her to tell him to stop his destructive actions, take responsibility for his mistakes, and finally clear his father, Xu Weiyi's, name. Qin Yue confronts Wei Xuanhe, pleading with him to give up before he is completely ruined. When he stubbornly refuses, she reveals Xu Xiaodong's secret: he is Winter.

She explains that Xu Xiaodong has been operating in the shadows for years, seeking justice for his father, and that his ultimate goal is to make both Wei Xuanhe and Zhao Yaoyang pay for their crimes. The next day at the "Summer Time" bakery, Yuan Yuan notices Lei Chuxia is deeply troubled and withdrawn. When she presses her for an explanation, she grabs Lei Chuxia's arm and is shocked to see it become transparent. Heartbroken, Lei Chuxia confesses that her time is running out and she will have to leave soon. The two friends embrace, crying over the impending loss.

Episode 22 Recap

Distraught by Lei Chuxia's impending departure and their unfulfilled childhood pact to be each other's bridesmaids and "cool old ladies," Yuan Yuan went to Jin Xiaorui. She abruptly asked him to marry her, stating, "The sooner, the better," explaining that it was because Lei Chuxia was leaving them soon. Jin Xiaorui, initially concerned, readily agreed.

After being informed by Qin Yue that Xu Xiaodong was the true Winter and intended for him and Zhao Yao Yang to face consequences, Wei Xuanhe called Xu Xiaodong, arranging to meet at Summer Time. While there, Wei Xuanhe encountered Lei Chuxia, whose hand was visibly transparent, a worsening of her condition. He noted this, questioning why she was having such issues given Wang Yixin's disappearance.

Lei Chuxia urged him to take down "Family First" due to its danger and confess about Xu Xiaodong's father’s case, warning that Winter would not forgive him. Wei Xuanhe, now aware of Winter's identity, subtly hinted at Lei Chuxia’s deteriorating health as leverage, suggesting that destiny might soon deliver an unpleasant surprise to Xu Xiaodong. Xu Xiaodong arrived at Summer Time, was told Lei Chuxia had left, and understanding Wei Xuanhe's veiled threat, rushed to find her.

He found her on a swing set, attempting to distract him with light conversation. Xu Xiaodong observed her transparent left hand. Without a word, he took her hand, a moment that filled the air with sadness and gravity. Xu Xiaodong and Lei Chuxia then visited Professor Chen. Xu Xiaodong pleaded for a way to prevent Lei Chuxia’s disappearance.

Professor Chen explained a theoretical solution: Lei Chuxia could avoid disappearing by returning to ten years ago, thereby eliminating her reliance on gravitational wave energy. However, he admitted his inability to fix Wang Yixin's machine. Recalling Wei Xuanhe's earlier hint, Xu Xiaodong asked if obtaining Wang Yixin’s experimental materials would improve the chances of repair, to which Professor Chen affirmed.

Professor Chen then excused Xu Xiaodong to assist Gao Liang with a computer issue, allowing him to speak privately with Lei Chuxia. He warned her that returning to the past could trap her in an infinite loop, where the gravitational wave might repeatedly send her to ten years later, a concept akin to Feynman's path integral theory or a Mobius strip, suggesting that history might be unchangeable.

Despite this, Lei Chuxia found solace in the idea of countless encounters and loves, even if it meant experiencing cosmic anomalies repeatedly. Professor Chen then offered another possibility: Everett’s "many-worlds interpretation," or parallel worlds. He explained that if she returned, it might be to a different parallel world where her choices would lead to different outcomes, but she would still ultimately face a destined choice.

After their discussion with Professor Chen, Lei Chuxia seemed troubled, though she downplayed it to Xu Xiaodong. They returned to Summer Time, where Yuan Yuan excitedly announced her and Jin Xiaorui’s wedding plans. Lei Chuxia, feigning surprise, playfully urged Jin Xiaorui to plan a grand proposal, joking about Yuan Yuan's "humble-brag" and "Mary Sue" tendencies. Lei Chuxia then soberly asked Yuan Yuan if she would still marry Jin Xiaorui if their childhood pact hadn't existed.

Yuan Yuan's sincere "I will," echoed by Jin Xiaorui, brought Lei Chuxia peace. To celebrate and encourage happiness, Lei Chuxia led them in a pinky swear, promising to remain joyful and free of sorrow, telling Yuan Yuan not to cry so she wouldn’t be ugly at her wedding. Lei Chuxia resolved to cherish this moment forever.

Later, aware of her impending departure, Lei Chuxia recorded a video message for Xu Xiaodong, asking him not to be sad or regretful, as her leaving was her destined choice. Driven by his determination to save Lei Chuxia, Xu Xiaodong secretly met Wei Xuanhe. In exchange for all of Wang Yixin’s critical research records, Xu Xiaodong agreed to relinquish his Winter identity.

Wei Xuanhe, now in possession of Winter’s online persona, logged into the "Battle of the Saints" game and then made a public announcement, claiming that he was Winter and that all prior negative comments about Cyber Tech's "Family First" system were the result of a hacked account. He leveraged Winter’s vast influence, leading to a significant increase in "Family First" downloads.

Wei Xuanhe relished in his success, instructing his team to deploy paid posters and substitute gamers to maintain Winter’s presence in the game, gloating that Xu Xiaodong’s painstakingly built virtual world had become his stepping stone. Upon seeing the news and unable to reach Xu Xiaodong by phone, Lei Chuxia realized the extent of his silent sacrifice for her.

She confronted him at Professor Chen's lab, having understood that he was the one who had always been secretly protecting and helping her. She proposed they reclaim Winter’s identity, but Xu Xiaodong, his only desire being her safety, gently refused, stating that his sole wish was for her to be well. Unable to confront Wei Xuanhe directly at Cyber Tech due to his bodyguards, Lei Chuxia resorted to a final measure: she sought out Wei Guopeng, Wei Xuanhe's father.

She explained that Wei Xuanhe had committed numerous wrongdoings over the past decade, and while she hadn't wanted to bother him due to his poor health, the "Family First" app was now gravely threatening user lives, believing only he could intervene. Wei Guopeng, expressing deep regret for Xuanhe's actions and for his past opposition to their marriage, promised to talk to his son and guide him back to the right path.

Lei Chuxia, however, assured him that there was no need for regret, as "everything is arranged." Later, Wei Guopeng summoned Wei Xuanhe, angrily questioning his actions with "Family First" and accusing him of shaming the family. He declared Wei Xuanhe unworthy to be his son and ordered him to leave.

Wei Xuanhe fiercely retorted that he never desired to be Wei Guopeng's son, accusing his father of never caring for him, providing no fatherly love, and never attempting to understand his dedication and hard work on "Family First." He asserted that his father only valued the family’s reputation and his own prestige, noting he likely hadn't even opened the "Family First" app installed on his phone.

Meanwhile, at Yao Yang Tech, Wei Xuanhe’s chaotic management of "Battle of the Saints" was apparent. Xu Xiaodong's former colleagues observed that the game, once promised to be free by Winter, now charged fees, and Winter's in-game behavior had become aggressive and uncharacteristic. They concluded that this Winter was not the real Winter and lamented their idol's tarnished image. Lei Chuxia approached them, including "Brother Sui," to ask for their help.

After a playful yet firm exchange where she subtly leveraged her knowledge of Xu Xiaodong helping Brother Sui, she convinced them to assist. Lei Chuxia explained that the true Winter had not changed, and the task was to help maintain the game world until the real Winter could return. Despite their shock at discovering Lei Chuxia’s close connection to Winter, the group, identifying as the "Lone Wolves Alliance," enthusiastically committed to the cause, proclaiming they would "fight for Winter."

Episode 23 Recap

After a heated argument with his father, Wei Guopeng, Wei Xuanhe declared that he did not want to be Wei Guopeng's son, to which his father retorted that Wei Xuanhe was not fit to be his son. Later, looking at an old award certificate that Wei Xuanhe had received for a rowing competition, Wei Guopeng began to reflect on whether he had been too strict with his son.

He recalled telling Xuanhe that what he truly desired were his academic results, not a sports award. However, his assistant gently reminded him that a father should always support his child. Consequently, Wei Guopeng publicly endorsed the "Family First" system, a product of Cyber Tech created by his son. As a renowned scholar, his influence quickly led many socially prominent individuals to back the product, with Wei Guopeng himself advocating it as a convenient and safe smart health management system.

Upon seeing the news, Lei Chuxia and Xu Xiaodong were dismayed that Wei Guopeng had gone back on his word. They rushed to the Wei residence to confront him, only to find Wei Guopeng collapsed on the floor. His "Family First" system had malfunctioned, leading him to take an overdose of medication. Xu Xiaodong promptly called an ambulance. At the hospital, the doctor confirmed that Wei Guopeng was out of danger.

However, to Xu Xiaodong's dismay, Lei Chuxia suddenly fainted due to the effects of gravitational waves. Xu Xiaodong prayed to the universe not to take Lei Chuxia away from him. He explained to others that Professor Chen Mo had previously mentioned that the final gravitational wave influencing Lei Chuxia would soon pass through Earth, marking what might be her last moments.

Lei Chuxia’s parents arrived, distraught, but she playfully tried to lighten the mood by suggesting they were there for her birthday, despite being exhausted. Seeing Lei Chuxia with her parents, Xu Xiaodong quietly left to find Professor Chen Mo, urging him to quickly fix the machine. He emphasized that Lei Chuxia might not have much time left. Professor Chen Mo promised to do his best to ensure Lei Chuxia's safe return to ten years ago.

Meanwhile, Shen Weiwei, overhearing their conversation about Lei Chuxia needing to return, approached Xu Xiaodong. Believing it was the perfect time, she handed him his parents' wedding ring, which she had kept as a good luck charm. As more and more users reported issues with the "Family First" system, Cyber Tech struggled to contain the mounting negative publicity. News reports detailed multiple similar hospitalizations, with users preparing for a class-action lawsuit.

The news also revealed that Cyber Tech had abandoned its IPO, and investors were divesting and seeking compensation. Seeing this, Qin Yue rushed to Wei Xuanhe. Her assistant, while informing her of lucrative offers from other companies, questioned her loyalty, asking if she was truly going to stand by Wei Xuanhe and Cyber Tech because she couldn't let go of him.

Qin Yue adamantly stated she had no intention of terminating her contract, insisting she was Cyber Tech's chief anchor and no one could take her place. Wei Xuanhe learned of his father’s hospitalization and visited him. The doctor informed him that Wei Guopeng's condition was related to his use of the "Family First" system, urging him to discontinue its use. This revelation deeply affected Wei Xuanhe.

Upon regaining consciousness, Wei Guopeng apologized to his son for his decades of harshness, admitting he felt like a failure as a father, especially now that his attempt to support Xuanhe had gone wrong. He then told Wei Xuanhe that a father is not always right and that if one admits and repents their mistakes, their family will always stand by them. His father encouraged him to pursue his own dreams, free from the expectations of others, including himself.

Wei Xuanhe expressed his determination to turn over a new leaf and, in the future, become truly worthy of being Wei Guopeng's son. Leaving the hospital, Wei Xuanhe met Qin Yue at the mall where they first met. He offered her a termination contract, waiving any penalty, explaining that Cyber Tech could no longer provide her with a better platform. Qin Yue refused, vowing to face the challenges of "Family First" alongside him.

Desperate to protect her from his downfall, Wei Xuanhe cruelly told her the company no longer needed her, that she had no value, and that he had never truly liked her, merely toying with her before growing tired. Qin Yue, however, refused to be deterred, stating she would cling to him no matter what. Xu Xiaodong then arranged to meet Wei Xuanhe and offered his help.

He requested all of Cyber Tech's data to fix the system's flaws, aiming to minimize harm to users and, crucially, to keep his father's intellectual legacy untainted. Wei Xuanhe, suspicious of Xu Xiaodong's motives, asked why he was being so kind. Xu Xiaodong explained that not everyone lived solely for profit and that he believed his father, Xu Weiyi, would have made the same choice if he were alive. Accepting his defeat, Wei Xuanhe handed over the company's database key.

Wei Xuanhe made a live broadcast to confess his crimes. Before going live, he spoke with his father, expressing regret for not making him proud and instead bringing shame to the family. His father, however, reassured him that he was already a source of pride and promised to stand by him. During the live stream, Wei Xuanhe apologized to all "Family First" users and vowed to bear full legal responsibility.

He then confessed to a decade-old wrongdoing, admitting that the copyright dispute between Xu Weiyi and Piggy Tech was a result of his greed. He revealed that he had stolen Xu Weiyi's patent and sold it to Zhao Yaoyang, a shareholder of Piggy Tech, using it to become a silent partner and amass wealth after the company went public. He solemnly declared that Xu Weiyi had never plagiarized, expressing profound respect for his character and talent.

He offered a sincere, albeit decade-late, apology to Xu Weiyi and his family, pledging to live with remorse and atone for his mistakes for the rest of his life. News reports confirmed that authorities would investigate Wei Xuanhe's illegal activities, promising severe legal punishment, and most importantly, clearing Xu Weiyi's name after ten years of injustice. Xu Xiaodong and Lei Chuxia were overjoyed.

Xu Xiaodong immediately used the database key to access Cyber Tech's data, intending to analyze the "Family First" source code from his father's old notebook. However, the system prompted him for a password. After a failed brute-force attack, he wondered what password his father might have set. A moment of realization struck him and Lei Chuxia as they recalled Xu Weiyi carving "To Xiaodong, my son" on an old game card.

Xu Xiaodong entered "Game card" as the password, and it worked. The system began analyzing the loopholes. A message from Xu Weiyi then appeared, a time capsule for his son. His father expressed pride in Xu Xiaodong for being able to work with his source code, wondering how much he had grown and matured. He fondly reminisced about a young Xu Xiaodong crying after losing a game to him.

His father concluded by saying that every moment Xu Xiaodong missed his parents was because they were also missing him. After this emotional message, Xu Xiaodong and Lei Chuxia went to their old rooftop, a place filled with memories. He finally revealed his identity as Winter to Lei Chuxia, admitting he had hidden it for too long. Lei Chuxia reassured him, praising his selfless and kind persona.

Xu Xiaodong then shared his father's words: "Two people who love each other will never part ways; they merely find a different way to meet. Whenever you miss someone, it's because that person is missing you too. Therefore, nothing can ever drive us apart." He then beautifully proposed, saying, "You depart from summer, and I'll look back from winter. Let us meet again in autumn. Chuxia, will you marry me?" Lei Chuxia joyfully accepted.

As Xu Xiaodong attempted to place his parents' wedding ring on her finger, Lei Chuxia's hand briefly turned transparent, and the ring fell. Undeterred, Xu Xiaodong put the ring on a necklace and placed it around her neck, reiterating that nothing could ever separate them. Separately, Wei Xuanhe met Lei Chuxia under a tree at their university, a place that held many beautiful memories for them. Lei Chuxia acknowledged his courage in confessing the truth and accepting his responsibilities.

Wei Xuanhe admitted that he never truly desired to be an exemplary son but secretly dreamed of being a "down-and-out rower," a dream crushed by his father years ago when he tore up his second-place rowing certificate. Lei Chuxia comforted him, promising to cheer him on regardless of his achievements. He embraced her, telling her that despite the world's changes, she remained his constant "little sun."

Meanwhile, at Battle of the Saints, an important system announcement apologized for recent disruptions and officially revealed Winter's true identity: Xu Xiaodong. His former colleagues from Yaoyang Technology were ecstatic and swarmed him for autographs and photos, celebrating him as their idol. Later, Lei Chuxia joined Yuan Yuan for wedding dress shopping. Yuan Yuan, remembering a dress named "Early Summer," insisted Lei Chuxia try it on, believing it was meant for her and calling her an "earthly princess."

Episode 24 (Ending) Recap

At the bridal shop, Yuan Yuan is ecstatic when Lei Chuxia emerges in a stunning wedding gown. Just then, Xu Xiaodong and Jin Xiaorui arrive, dressed in tuxedos. While Xu Xiaodong is captivated by Chuxia's beauty, Jin Xiaorui is equally mesmerized by Yuan Yuan, who is also in a wedding dress. He pulls Yuan Yuan outside to propose, leaving the other two alone.

Xu Xiaodong embraces Chuxia, promising to spend every second with her and to share every future full moon together. By the sea, Jin Xiaorui admits to Yuan Yuan that while their relationship started under strange circumstances, his feelings are genuine and he truly wants to marry her. He gets down on one knee and proposes. As he's about to put the ring on her finger, Chuxia and Xiaodong appear.

Chuxia playfully objects, stating there's a condition to marrying her best friend. She hands Jin Xiaorui a notebook she wrote, titled "100 Things About Yuan Yuan," and makes him promise to always support Yuan Yuan's dreams and make her happy. He agrees, and the proposal is complete. For Chuxia, giving Yuan Yuan her blessing is also a form of goodbye. Later, Chuxia prepares for her departure.

Unsure how to say farewell to her parents, she and Xiaodong arrive with new pets: a long-living tortoise, a pair of talking parakeets, and a small dog she names Xia Xia. She explains that these animals will keep her parents company when she is gone. That evening, wanting to savor every last moment, Xu Xiaodong moves his luggage into Chuxia's house, planning to sleep on the sofa.

He surprises her by leading her into a dark room, which he then illuminates with a beautiful, glowing replica of a full moon, complete with their silhouettes. He explains that since real full moons are rare, he created one for them so they could have a full moon every night. Touched, they share a loving kiss. On the day of Jin Xiaorui and Yuan Yuan’s wedding, Chuxia serves as a bridesmaid.

Xiaodong's aunt, Shen Weiwei, draws a five-pointed star on Chuxia’s palm, sharing a childhood secret that a heartfelt wish made with the star will come true. She encourages Chuxia to hold onto her belief in love, no matter what the universe decides. As the ceremony begins, a rare celestial event occurs: the sun has not yet set, but the full moon has already risen.

Seeing the sun and moon in the sky together, Xiaodong realizes his greatest fear is about to come true. He runs desperately towards Chuxia, who is standing behind a large white veil. As he reaches her, a gust of wind lifts the veil. When it falls, she is gone, leaving only her phone and bracelet behind. Heartbroken, Xiaodong collapses in tears. After the wedding, he finds a video message Chuxia left for him.

She explains that Professor Chen Mo told her the universe would offer two choices. The first was a time loop where they would meet again, but he would be forced to suffer through misfortune repeatedly. The second choice was a "many-worlds interpretation," which would open a new path for her. Unwilling to see him suffer, she chose to change her future, even if it meant they might never meet in the new world. This was her decision.

Chuxia travels back ten years to November 18th, determined to prevent the tragedies before they start. She bursts into the Piggy Tech press conference and stops Wei Xuanhe from signing the contract to steal Xu Weiyi's patent. To convince him, she reveals a secret he has never told anyone: that his greatest dream isn't to be the perfect son, but to be a humble rower. Stunned, he abandons the deal.

Next, Chuxia finds Xu Weiyi and explains everything about her time travel. Remembering he was the customer who ordered a cake ten years ago but never picked it up, she gives him his stolen patent along with the cake, "Summer's Kiss," and reminds him to take his medication to protect his health. However, her heart sinks when Xu Weiyi tells her that with everything resolved, he plans to take his family and move abroad.

Chuxia realizes that in this new timeline, she and Xu Xiaodong may never cross paths. Ten years pass in the new reality. Chuxia has spent the decade traveling the country as a food connoisseur. She only returns home upon hearing that Yuan Yuan is getting married. To her surprise, the wedding venue, the bridal shop, and even the wedding dress Yuan Yuan insists she try on are all identical to the ones from her previous life.

While admiring Chuxia in the dress, Yuan Yuan comments on her old necklace, which holds the ring Xiaodong gave her. Chuxia sadly mentions the story of drawing a five-pointed star on one's palm to make a wish come true. Yuan Yuan is shocked, revealing that her fiancé's friend's aunt told her the exact same story. Realizing the connection, Chuxia asks who she is marrying.

Yuan Yuan reveals she met her fiancé, Jin Xiaorui, ten days ago and they decided on a flash marriage. Everything clicks into place for Chuxia. She runs out of the shop and through the crowd at the wedding venue, desperately searching. She finally spots a familiar figure standing on the lawn. It is Xu Xiaodong. She walks towards him, and they lock eyes. Confused, he asks, "Do we know each other?"

A single tear rolls down Chuxia's cheek as she smiles, remembering his proposal: "I depart from summer, and you look back from winter. Let us meet in the autumn." The universe, no matter the path, had brought them together again.
