Ruan Dongsheng, suspicious that Eva might actually be Zhen Yuanyuan, reviewed restaurant security footage from the night he and Eva left together. The video showed no sign of Yuanyuan entering the restaurant, and only Yuanyuan was seen leaving the next day, not Eva. Puzzled by the impossibility of someone being both thin and fat on the same night, Ruan Dongsheng concluded that Eva and Yuanyuan must be the same person.
Determined to uncover the truth, he decided to investigate the matter himself. To get closer to Eva, Ruan Dongsheng moved into the apartment next door to her. Eva, realizing her new neighbor was Ruan Dongsheng, panicked and immediately sought advice from Xiao Nan. Ruan Dongsheng immediately sent this information to his assistant for verification, and the assistant confirmed all the details were accurate, further deepening Ruan Dongsheng's confusion. Later, Eva reflected on how Ruan Dongsheng had tricked her into revealing so much and vowed to be more cautious in the future. Meanwhile, Xiao Nan confronted Luo Yiren, the head of communications, about the negative news surrounding Ruan Dongsheng that had been circulating online for twenty hours.
He found her distracted, engrossed in reading fanfiction on her phone. Xiao Nan angrily snatched her phone and, frustrated with her performance, gave her three hours to resolve the issue or face contract termination. Luo Yiren was infuriated by his interference. The World Angel model preliminary selection began, requiring a half-month enclosed training during which all communication devices were confiscated. Eva, with her strong physique and determination, excelled in the rigorous training.
She broke Rebecca's five-year record for a challenging exercise, a feat that ignited Rebecca's intense jealousy. During meal times, Rebecca, the head coach, deliberately minimized Eva's food portions, causing Eva to feel constantly hungry. One night, starving and desperate, Eva remembered that the confiscated phones were kept in the medical room. She feigned a headache to gain access and secretly grabbed her phone, intending to send a distress message. However, in her haste, she accidentally sent it to Ruan Dongsheng.
Ruan Dongsheng, who had been upset by Eva's sudden departure without a word, was initially disinclined to help. However, his assistant suggested that Eva's plea for help indicated her affection for him. This thought immediately brightened Ruan Dongsheng's mood. He promptly arranged for a food truck from his company, Qing Corporation, to deliver meals to the World Angel training camp.
Upon hearing of his arrival with food, Eva excitedly ran to him and embraced him warmly, a gesture that clearly delighted Ruan Dongsheng. Rebecca, witnessing their embrace, was filled with anger and confronted Ruan Dongsheng. She accused him of using a fiancée as an excuse to reject her in the past, only to now be openly affectionate with a young model.

After the party, Ruan Dongsheng led Eva to a private spot by the pool and presented her with a beautiful pair of shoes, offering to help her put them on. As he knelt to assist, he carefully examined her feet. His expression changed from warmth to disappointment; Zhen Yuanyuan had a distinctive scar on her foot from a past injury, but Eva's feet were perfectly smooth, without any trace of a mark.
Realizing Eva might not be Zhen Yuanyuan after all, Ruan Dongsheng's demeanor cooled, and he abruptly announced he had work and needed to leave. Eva, bewildered and hurt by his sudden change, chastised him, remarking that his mood shifted faster than the weather and declaring she would never fall for his charms again. Reluctantly, Ruan Dongsheng decided to turn back to offer Eva a ride. However, as they approached, he saw Eva getting into Xiao Nan's car, with Xiao Nan patiently comforting her. His assistant further informed him of recent gossip within the company suggesting that Eva and Xiao Nan had been romantically involved since the Pioneer project. This news infuriated Ruan Dongsheng, leaving him feeling frustrated and chest pain.
At the World Angel fashion show, just minutes before Eva was due on stage, her outfit was discovered to be maliciously damaged. Rebecca appeared and taunted Eva, suggesting she would have to withdraw from the competition. Ruan Dongsheng, watching from the audience, grew increasingly worried as Eva failed to appear. Suddenly, Eva stepped onto the runway, confidently wearing a sleep robe over her damaged black dress.
She dramatically shed the robe, revealing the stunning, albeit slightly torn, black outfit beneath, eliciting gasps and applause from the crowd. As she turned, a shoulder strap slipped. Without hesitation, Ruan Dongsheng rushed onto the stage, used his suit jacket to cover her, and then scooped her into his arms.
