Hongning wanted to quickly become a high immortal. Jinxiu comforted her, saying that cultivation couldn’t be rushed—it had to be done gradually. Hongning asked Officer Chrysanthemum if he knew any methods for fast cultivation. Officer Chrysanthemum said he didn’t. Hongning expressed her disappointment, saying she had valued him so much, yet he didn’t even know this. Officer Chrysanthemum muttered that of course he knew—it was the forbidden technique from their Mt. Baizhou, which allowed one to bring forward their tribulation.

Hongning was overjoyed to hear this, but Officer Chrysanthemum became distressed and insisted he hadn’t said anything. Hongning returned to Mt. Baizhou and found the elder. The elder confirmed such a forbidden technique existed but warned that it was extremely dangerous and that failure meant death. He advised Hongning to cultivate properly and not attempt it. When Bai Cha found out, he was shocked and asked Hongning if she loved Jinxiu that much—to the point of risking her life.

Jinxiu was summoned again by the Celestial Monarch. He firmly rejected the marriage, saying he would rather demote himself to a lower immortal and go guard Mt. Cangwu. Hongning said she truly loved Jinxiu and wanted to be his Divine Consort. For someone important, she could do anything. Besides, she had cultivated for so long—she would be fine. Seeing he couldn’t stop her, Bai Cha knocked her out, saying that Hongning was also someone very important to him.

Hongning sneaked up to the heavens to find Jinxiu but was discovered by the Plum Deity Messenger and Deity Apricot. Deity Apricot said Bai Cha had already been banished to the mortal realm—how dare he come back on his own? Bai Cha said he had something very important to tell Jinxiu. The Plum Deity Messenger told Deity Apricot to go back first. He then asked Bai Cha what was going on.

Bai Cha said something had happened to Hongning and urged Jinxiu to save her immediately. The Plum Deity Messenger was surprised Bai Cha said Jinxiu and Hongning had such a deep relationship and told Bai Cha not to speak nonsense and to leave at once. Deity Apricot returned and said he could help, but Jinxiu wasn’t there—he would take Bai Cha to Middle Heaven. Deity Apricot took Bai Cha to see the Divine Consort.

The Divine Consort was surprised by the news. She said Jinxiu’s wedding was imminent—how could they spout nonsense like this? She told Bai Cha to keep the matter to himself, declared he had disobeyed divine orders, and had him dragged into the Qilin Cave. Deity Apricot asked what should be done about Hongning. The Divine Consort said since she wouldn’t see Jinxiu, the matter was over.

But she added that Deity Apricot had brought Bai Cha to Middle Heaven without permission and stripped him of his deity registration. The Celestial Monarch bound Jinxiu and injected Golden Lotus Dew into his body, telling him to think it over. Lemon Spirit and the others failed to stop Hongning and said it was just a tribulation—they would help her. But the tribulation was powerful, and they were all knocked unconscious.

The Divine Consort intensified the tribulation, and Hongning was seriously injured. Jinxiu sensed something was wrong and rushed down immediately. He brought Hongning to the Withered Flower Garden to heal her and gave her the Golden Lotus Dew. Jinxiu remained adamant against the marriage. The Celestial Monarch was furious, saying Jinxiu was the future Celestial Monarch and could not afford such emotions. He extracted Jinxiu’s divine consciousness and forced him into marriage. Hongning heard about it and rushed over.

The Northern Realm King discovered the Golden Lotus Dew in Hongning’s body and was furious, questioning Jinxiu. The Celestial Monarch tried to have Hongning captured. Jinxiu broke free and saved her. Jinxiu was injured. Hongning said that without the Golden Lotus Dew he gave her, she would have already died. She returned the dew to him and told him to marry the celestial maiden and live well. Hongning went to the Transformation Pool.

Jinxiu tried to stop her but was caught by the Celestial Monarch and failed. Jinxiu struggled free and jumped after her, but the Celestial Monarch pulled him back. Jinxiu went to see the Northern Realm King and said he would go guard the border at Mt. Cangwu and hoped it would not affect their alliance. The Northern Realm King agreed.

The Heavenly Fox General was furious, thinking the Northern Realm King was weak and unworthy of being king, and injured him.
