Love Crossed Episode 24 Recap
> Love Crossed Recap
Upon stepping out of Bayhouse, Luo Ke observed the deserted outside world, wondering if it was the end of the world and if there were any clubs nearby. Xu Nian made a call to Guan Qianya, informing her that all four of them—Lu Xiao, Su Lie, Luo Ke, and himself—were out but he was unsure where to take them. Guan Qianya instructed them to wait at the nearby Xianghuaqiao Alley, promising to pick them up by car.
She then eagerly roused Jiang Kele, announcing the others had left Bayhouse and urging them to depart immediately. Lu Xiao, impatient to leave, prompted them to go to the alley where their ride would soon arrive. As they walked, Su Lie and Luo Ke marveled at their own advertisement posters, realizing their great game appearances were thanks to the data they provided.
Lu Xiao, however, grew irritable, which Su Lie and Luo Ke attributed to his difficulty adjusting to the real world despite his past excursions. Their attention was soon diverted by the enticing smell of hotpot. Excited by the prospect of long-lost junk food, they attempted to order, only to discover they had no money. Xu Nian stepped in to pay for them, but Lu Xiao quickly alerted him that they were being followed.
Believing Xu Guanghan’s subordinates were pursuing them, the four ran into a nearby club. Their pursuers soon caught up, but it became clear they were not Xu Guanghan's men. Instead, they were fans of the virtual romance game, who mistook Su Lie and Luo Ke for incredibly accurate imitators and complimented their "plastic surgery."
With the immediate threat resolved, Xu Nian informed Jiang Kele that they were at Jazzy Club, and Guan Qianya instructed them to book a private room and wait. Inside the club, Su Lie and Luo Ke were bored, finding the club's dance floor smaller than Bayhouse’s dance studio. They argued that they could sing and dance just as well back at Bayhouse.
Amidst this, Luo Ke, attempting to flirt with Jiang Kele, was abruptly told by Lu Xiao that she was Xu Nian’s girlfriend, much to Su Lie and Luo Ke's surprise. Xu Nian and Guan Qianya then stepped aside to talk. Xu Nian apologized for any past misunderstandings, admitting he had to act for her safety. Guan Qianya apologized in turn, confessing she had wrongly believed he was bullying her and had been cynical towards him, but acknowledged his gentlemanly conduct.
She urged him to discuss matters with them in the future rather than handling everything alone. Jiang Kele then joined them, eager to discuss their escape plan: moving Lu Xiao, Su Lie, and Luo Ke to safety, contacting reporters, and publicly exposing Xu Guanghan with an on-camera statement. The group readily agreed to assist. While Xu Nian, Lu Xiao, Jiang Kele, and Guan Qianya were engrossed in their conversation, Su Lie and Luo Ke had wandered off.
Luo Ke had ventured downstairs and approached a girl, complimenting her dancing. He even claimed to be the real Luo Ke, only for the girl's ex-boyfriend to appear and furiously confront him for dancing with "his woman." Luo Ke tried to initiate a one-on-one fight, but the ex-boyfriend’s companions joined in, beating Luo Ke badly.
Luo Ke desperately tried to call for backup, invoking Lu Xiao, Xu Nian, and Su Lie, but the ex-boyfriend mocked him for trying to summon game characters, further asserting that Luo Ke was merely an imitator. As the beating continued, the girl intervened, pleading for them to stop, but her ex-boyfriend explained his rage: he had spent all his money on her, only for her to lavish it on Luo Ke, calling Luo Ke "husband" while merely calling him "hey."
Seeing Luo Ke on the verge of death, the girl desperately promised to reconcile with her ex-boyfriend if he stopped the assault. He agreed, demanding she promise not to break up with him for three months, then embraced her and left. Meanwhile, Su Lie, left alone after Luo Ke’s escapade, was approached by another woman. Overwhelmed by a deep-seated fear of women, he fled the club in a panic.
Hours later, Luo Ke returned to Bayhouse, severely beaten, only to find Su Lie already there. Luo Ke questioned Su Lie if he was truly hated, revealing his profound insecurity rooted in his childhood abandonment. Su Lie assured him it was not his fault but the outside world's problem. Su Lie then recounted his own terrifying experience, chased by "red-lipped women," which led him to believe the outside world was too scary. Both agreed never to venture outside Bayhouse again.
Back in the city, Lu Xiao, Xu Nian, Jiang Kele, and Guan Qianya had searched tirelessly all night for Su Lie and Luo Ke. Their despair grew until they found an online post with a photo of Luo Ke, identifying him as an imitator beaten at a club for hitting on a girl.
Realizing that Su Lie must also be in trouble and that both would be traumatized, they surmised that the safest place for the inexperienced duo would be Bayhouse. They rushed back and found Su Lie and Luo Ke asleep together. Upon waking, Su Lie and Luo Ke recounted their harrowing experiences. Despite the others' attempts to convince them to leave Bayhouse permanently for their safety, they adamantly refused, declaring the outside world too dangerous.
They believed that by staying in Bayhouse and obediently following Xu Guanghan’s rules, they would be safe, failing to grasp the true peril. Xu Nian pressed them on their fears. Luo Ke admitted he feared being beaten again as an imitator. Su Lie revealed his phobia of women, which surprised Guan Qianya. Xu Nian explained that Su Lie had been abducted as a child by a red-lipped woman, later rescued by Xu Guanghan, leaving him with a deep psychological scar.
Guan Qianya, however, skeptically wondered if the red-lipped woman had instead sold Su Lie to Xu Guanghan. Su Lie vehemently defended Xu Guanghan, insisting he was their rescuer. Guan Qianya retorted that not all women wearing red lipstick were bad, gesturing to herself. Their conversation was abruptly interrupted by the arrival of Xu Guanghan and Lei Na. Xu Guanghan announced that the data collection for the four of them was complete, and it was time to transfer them elsewhere. Jiang Kele immediately began sweeping, feigning diligent cleaning to buy them time. Lei Na, however, informed Jiang Kele that her work at Bayhouse was now finished.
