She picked one up and read how Xu Wei perceived her, like a cactus with thorns, and his wish to help remove them without causing further pain. He likened himself to a soft tumbleweed, wanting to gently envelop her and protect her.
Seeing Xu Wei sleeping, Fang Qi felt a flicker of emotion, but as soon as he stirred, she quickly retreated to her room, leaving the meal untouched, her mind restless. Meanwhile, Xu Qingyou found herself on a rooftop, discovering a cat perched precariously high. She climbed up to rescue it, but found getting down difficult. Just then, Mo Lingze appeared and helped her safely bring the kitten down.
Before Mo Lingze could speak further, he received a call from Fan Yunxi. Fan Yunxi explained that his mother wished to take a family photo before her upcoming surgery, expressing fears she might not recover. To ease his mother's mind, Xu Qingyou agreed. When she looked up again, Mo Lingze had already departed. The following day, after concluding a business meeting, Mo Lingze looked up and spotted Xu Qingyou at a wedding photo studio, dressed and ready for a photoshoot.

Despite her initial reluctance, she resolved to face the past bravely and decided to bring Xu Wei. She bought him an expensive suit and tie, totaling ten thousand yuan.
