I Know l Love You Episode 11 Recap
> I Know l Love You Recap
Xu Nuo insisted on meeting Peng Yuan's father alone and refused Peng Yuan's offer to take her home. Peng Yuan reminded her that they hadn't broken up yet. Before parting, Xu Nuo asked if he genuinely liked Cong Shan, suggesting they were a better match. She pressed him, saying he didn't need to hide his feelings from her anymore. Peng Yuan finally revealed that while Cong Shan liked and pursued him, he had never liked her.
At the pet hospital, a colleague invited Zhao Jin to dinner, but he politely declined, claiming he had brought his own food. When his colleagues teased him about having a girlfriend, he denied it but then stated they should discuss it once it was confirmed, causing another colleague to advise Shanshan to stop pursuing him. After work, Zhao Jin went to Xu Nuo's flower shop under the guise of picking up his sister.
His sister, however, teased him, asking if he was there for Xu Nuo. She informed him that Xu Nuo had gone out for the afternoon. Later that evening, Xu Nuo texted Zhao Jin, mentioning she had scheduled a meeting with her father for the next day. Zhao Jin called Xu Nuo back, and they talked while relaxing at home. Zhao Jin shared that his sister already considered Xu Nuo family.
When Xu Nuo asked about his feelings for her, Zhao Jin confessed that she was "more than a relative." He elaborated that relatives are constant, but lovers can change and become strangers or even enemies. He expressed his wish for them to be "simple and pure lovers" with "strong and unwavering commitment," free from coercion, adding, "no matter how far we can go." Xu Nuo agreed they should cherish each other.
Zhao Jin was delighted they had become "us" and hoped not to disappoint his sister, who was looking forward to their wedding. Xu Nuo told him he needed to "work hard." Xu Nuo's father then visited Peng Yuan, attempting to reconcile him and Xu Nuo, while subtly trying to secure an investment from him. Peng Yuan vaguely responded about the investment but kept it in mind.
When Xu Nuo's father suggested a dinner to discuss the couple's relationship, Peng Yuan revealed that Xu Nuo would be meeting his father alone. Xu Nuo's father was immediately concerned, worrying that Xu Nuo's temper might offend Peng Yuan's father and that she shouldn't meet him without Peng Yuan present. Peng Yuan reiterated that it was Xu Nuo's decision and he didn't know her intentions. He then excused himself for a meeting.
Peng Yuan pondered Xu Nuo's desire to meet his father alone, replaying their conversation and his father's concerns in his mind. He then called his father and mother. The next day, Zhao Jin returned to the flower shop earlier than usual, seeming anxious for Xu Nuo, but his sister confirmed Xu Nuo was still out. They chatted, and his sister reminisced about their mother's love for flowers and how Zhao Jin used to try to eat them as a child.
She then explained that lavender's flower language is "waiting," promising a miracle with patience, and gave him some. Xu Nuo waited for the meeting alone. Peng Yuan called her, informing her that his father had an urgent matter and couldn't make it, apologizing on his behalf. Xu Nuo was visibly upset, stating, "Don't always ask me if I'm okay only after something happens, okay? I'm not okay."
Peng Yuan tried to calm her, but Xu Nuo angrily said that she had nothing to say to his father and asked Peng Yuan to convey her message. She accused both him and his father of breaking appointments and pointed out that she was always the unimportant one.
She then revealed that she wanted to meet his father alone to tell him that she couldn't marry his son and that despite their many years together, they had broken up, though it wasn't his son's fault. She again asked him to convey her message, then hung up as Peng Yuan attempted to explain further. Cong Shan found Peng Yuan looking troubled in his office. He claimed to be watching a homeless singer.
Cong Shan brought up their college band, mentioning that his father had disliked his singing. Peng Yuan admitted his father was "afraid that I might be like him." Cong Shan asked if he would regret it if he were singing on the street now. Peng Yuan said he "can't accept it," implicitly agreeing with his father's decision.
Cong Shan then said that "growth is all about giving up constantly" and hoped he could "think clearly" about what to let go of. When Xu Nuo returned home, her mother was furious. She accused Xu Nuo of being disrespectful by breaking up with Peng Yuan, especially after all the help the Peng family had provided. Xu Nuo’s mother argued that at her age, she should be prioritizing marriage over romantic love, which she deemed "unreliable."
Xu Nuo countered that there was no love between them, and she wouldn't marry for gratitude, even if it meant being a "lonely old lady" in the future, as it would be a life she chose. Her grandmother intervened, supporting Xu Nuo and telling her mother to stop. Xu Nuo reassured her grandmother that she would find someone to rely on, but it wouldn't be Peng Yuan.
Peng Yuan called his father, apologizing for missing his earlier call and lying that Xu Nuo had an urgent matter at the flower shop, which was why she missed their meeting. His father was angry, disparaging Xu Nuo and questioning why Peng Yuan was still hesitating about breaking up. Peng Yuan tried to explain their long history, but his father dismissed it, suggesting Xu Nuo only wanted a simple meal or considered herself an artist.
He reminded Peng Yuan that he had saved him from a life of street singing by discouraging his musical aspirations. Peng Yuan agreed and ended the conversation. Zhao Jin found Xu Nuo sitting alone on a beach. He hugged her tightly, telling her not to regret anything. Xu Nuo recalled his earlier words about wanting "simple and pure lovers" with "strong and unwavering commitment," and his phrase "no matter how far we can go."
Zhao Jin admitted he regretted the phrase "no matter how far we can go" because they truly don't know the future. Xu Nuo stated that she didn't care about the future and just wanted him to hold her hand tightly and "not let me go" no matter what. Zhao Jin promised he wouldn't, even joking about stapling their hands together.
He gently inquired if her mother had said anything, guessing she might be worried that Xu Nuo would be alone and without financial support in her old age. Zhao Jin acknowledged that this could be a problem and offered to treat her to a very expensive meal to ease her worries. Peng Yuan and Cong Shan went out for dinner. At the same time, Zhao Jin and Xu Nuo also arrived at the same restaurant, though without a reservation.
Xu Nuo made Zhao Jin promise not to take her to restaurants he had visited with other women. During their meal, Xu Nuo went to the restroom and unexpectedly saw Cong Shan, who was also heading there. They acknowledged each other without exchanging words. In the restroom, Cong Shan asked if Zhao Jin was Xu Nuo's new boyfriend. Xu Nuo confirmed he was.
Cong Shan then revealed that she and Peng Yuan were "not officially together yet" because Peng Yuan believed he and Xu Nuo hadn't officially broken up. Xu Nuo reiterated that she had clearly ended things with him. Cong Shan suggested Peng Yuan needed more time and advised Xu Nuo that breaking up would inevitably hurt him, regardless of how "decent" she tried to be.
Xu Nuo then asked if Cong Shan truly liked Peng Yuan, to which Cong Shan replied it was "not important for you anymore." Back at their table, Zhao Jin noticed Xu Nuo hadn't eaten much, assuming the food was unpalatable. Peng Yuan spotted Xu Nuo at her table as he paid his bill, but he left with Cong Shan without saying anything. On the drive home, Cong Shan asked Peng Yuan if he had seen Xu Nuo.
He admitted he had. Cong Shan revealed she also saw Xu Nuo but pretended not to notice her to gauge his reaction. Peng Yuan remained preoccupied by Xu Nuo's lack of appetite. Meanwhile, Zhao Jin drove Xu Nuo home. Xu Nuo showed him the lavender flowers his sister had given her, reminding him of their meaning: "waiting." She expressed frustration with herself for subconsciously avoiding Peng Yuan, especially since he was with another woman.
Zhao Jin reassured her that they would face challenges together. Xu Nuo confessed that she had become less patient since meeting him. Zhao Jin playfully suggested it was because she was finally "letting herself go." As they parted at her home, they were reluctant to say goodbye. The next day, Xiao Qin enthusiastically asked Xu Nuo if she could deliver flowers.
Xu Nuo hesitated, concerned about Xiao Qin's health and safety, knowing her brother (Zhao Jin) would worry if she worked alone on the street. Xiao Qin, however, earnestly explained that she wanted to be a "messenger" of happiness and joy. She begged Xu Nuo not to tell her brother and eventually, Xu Nuo reluctantly agreed to let her try. Later, Xu Yang and Cong Shan were at the jiu-jitsu gym.
Cong Shan inquired about Zhao Jin's absence, hinting at wanting to train with him. Xu Yang told her Zhao Jin was busy at the pet hospital. Cong Shan expressed suspicion that Peng Yuan might be aware of Xu Nuo's feelings for Zhao Jin, noting Peng Yuan's "weird eyes." Xu Yang reassured her that Xu Nuo was facing the most difficult situation, dismissing Cong Shan's worry about men getting hurt by saying men easily find new girlfriends.
Cong Shan invited Xu Yang to her house to show him a book, and after some initial hesitation, Xu Yang agreed to go. At Cong Shan's house, she showed him the book, which was a novel titled "Obsession." They continued their discussion about men's vulnerability in relationships, with Cong Shan asserting that "Art comes from life," and teasing Xu Yang for not studying enough.
She became defensive when Xu Yang mentioned her being "close" with female students and accused him of pretending to be innocent. Ultimately, Cong Shan suggested they read the book together, starting with the first page.
