Ka Suo and his companions arrived at the White Tiger Destruction Temple, where shouts of "Guardian Qing Ren is victorious!" filled the air. Inside, they found a figure standing on a throne with its back to them. Ka Suo, introducing himself as the Ice King, politely requested passage through the sealed door of the White Tiger Destruction Temple. However, the figure remained silent and unresponsive. When Pian Feng approached, he discovered it was a lifeless body.

Suddenly, a group of guards appeared, surrounding Ka Suo's party. It was revealed that the person who led them in, whom they believed to be Qing Long, was actually the true Qing Ren, and the body on the throne was the deceased Qing Long. Qing Ren, the new eastern guardian, mockingly welcomed them to his White Tiger Destruction Temple, stating they were his first guests.

The group prepared to fight, but they found their spiritual powers completely suppressed by the bangles they were wearing. Qing Ren reveled in their helplessness, boasting of his power. Liaojian, enraged, charged forward but was quickly repelled and brought under Qing Ren's control. He was forced to attack his friends. One by one, Ka Suo's companions succumbed to Qing Ren's manipulation, fighting amongst themselves until they were all captured.

Qing Ren maliciously declared that his ascension ceremony as the eastern guardian would take place the next day, and they would be his "guest performers," promising them an exciting death. Qing Ren later reported his success in capturing Ka Suo to Yuan Ji, requesting that his previous position as the western guardian be restored, and that he be allowed to hold both the eastern and western guardian titles simultaneously. However, Lian Ji, who was present, promptly rejected his proposition.

Meanwhile, Yan Da searched for the missing group and eventually found the sword spirit, who still bore the resemblance of Ying Kong Shi. Yan Da offered him some of her vital energy, which the sword spirit eagerly consumed. She then asked him where Ka Suo and the others had gone.

The sword spirit, Shi, recounted the events at the White Tiger Destruction Temple, explaining that Ka Suo could have escaped but chose to stay for his friends, leading to his capture by Qing Ren. Shi claimed Ka Suo was "his feast," as Ka Suo had awakened him from the God Devouring Sword. He expressed concern that Qing Ren might "eat his meal" before he could, but admitted he was currently too weak to defeat Qing Ren.

Yan Da offered to help him rescue his "feast," which prompted Shi to ask if she too was eyeing Ka Suo. Yan Da denied it and then affectionately tried to call him "Yun Fei," a name Shi found "cheesy" and rejected, claiming he would never pick such a name for himself. Yan Da hinted that he no longer remembered things, not even Ka Suo, his "most beloved brother."

Shi then shrewdly deduced that Yan Da intended to wait for Ka Suo to obtain the Hidden Lotus and then seize it. Yan Da admitted her plan, acknowledging she couldn't achieve it alone. She offered Shi a continuous supply of even stronger vital energy in exchange for his help, a deal he happily accepted. Ka Suo and his friends were anxious about their predicament, unable to remove the restrictive bangles. Shi suddenly appeared, mocking their inability to remove the restraints.

He suggested that if the bangle was a knot, there must be a gap to open it. Though the others couldn't see it, Shi encouraged them to keep looking. Listening to Shi's words, Ka Suo recalled Grandma Feng Tian's saying, "Where there's darkness, there'll be light. Where there's a beginning, there'll be an end. All things gather together for power and separate when the power is lost. No loss, no gain. No death, no life."

These enigmatic words suddenly clicked, and Ka Suo understood how to break free from the bangles. Shi then instructed them to follow his plan the next day. The next day, at Qing Ren's coronation ceremony, he gleefully taunted his captive guests. He then announced a "battle" to determine the strongest among them to face Ka Suo. With a flick of his wrist, he began manipulating them, forcing them to fight each other against their will.

Ka Suo watched helplessly as Liaojian, Pian Feng, Huang Tuo, and Yue Shen were all injured in the senseless brawling. Eventually, only Xing Gui and Chao Ya remained. As Chao Ya was about to injure Xing Gui's eyes, Ka Suo, breaking through some of the control, used the God Devouring Sword to intervene. However, Xing Gui, still under Qing Ren's sway, then attacked and wounded Chao Ya.

Qing Ren laughed, declaring that the final duel would be between Xing Gui and Ka Suo. At that moment, Lian Ji arrived at the White Tiger Destruction Temple, announcing her intention to personally kill Ka Suo to avenge Ying Kong Shi's death. She effortlessly controlled Ka Suo, tossing him around like a toy. Despite his vulnerability, Ka Suo pleaded with Lian Ji to release Xing Gui, offering himself in her place.

Qing Ren, captivated by Xing Gui's cuteness, began to remove her clothes, pulling her towards him with malicious intent. Seeing Xing Gui in peril, Ka Suo, with a surge of desperate strength, finally broke free from Lian Ji's control and rescued her. Meanwhile, Liaojian, Pian Feng, and Huang Tuo, following Ka Suo's earlier plan, had managed to retrieve the God Devouring Sword. Pian Feng then charged towards the throne, striking it with the sword.

Lian Ji, closing in on Ka Suo, attempted to deliver a fatal blow. However, Ka Suo blocked her attack, his spiritual powers now fully restored, as were everyone else's. The White Tiger Destruction Temple guards were no match for the empowered group. Shi then emerged, eager to collect vital energy from the fallen. Ka Suo tried to stop Shi from approaching Lian Ji, calling her "your mother." Shi vehemently denied having a mother, stating he was a sword spirit.

It was then that Ka Suo fully understood that Shi truly was not Ying Kong Shi. Qing Ren, however, rose again, revealing his immortal body, making him seemingly invincible. Ka Suo pierced Qing Ren with the God Devouring Sword, but it failed to kill him. At that critical moment, Shi shouted to Ka Suo, revealing that Qing Ren's tattoo was his "sealed door," his weakness.

Ka Suo immediately plunged the God Devouring Sword into the tattoo on Qing Ren's neck, finally killing him. In an instant, the entire White Tiger Destruction Temple vanished, and everyone found themselves back in their original location, as if Qing Ren's death had undone his entire domain. Chao Ya, who had been injured, confirmed she was fine, crediting Pian Feng for sharing half of his spiritual power with her.

The group continued their journey, arriving at the next destination: the Sky-Shattering Vermilion Bird Temple, located in the center of a stunning lake. Consulting Grandma Feng Tian's map, they realized they faced a new challenge. The lake was covered with hundreds of invisible sectors or barriers, and touching even one could lead to terrible consequences. Chao Ya then brought out her Soundless Zither, explaining that it could change size at will.

She intended to enlarge it to serve as a boat and use its music to reveal the hidden barriers, allowing them to navigate safely across the lake. Back in the City of Bladed Snow, Xing Jiu's injuries had significantly healed. He expressed his intention to return to the Divine Snow Mountain, but the Ice King advised him to stay.

The Ice King suggested that Xing Jiu could still protect Ka Suo's group by remaining in the City of Bladed Snow and using his dream spell to maintain contact with his sister, Xing Gui. This way, they would be promptly informed of any difficulties Ka Suo and his companions encountered, allowing them to provide timely protection. Xing Jiu understood and agreed. Shortly after, Elder Lu Ming of the Sprite Lands sought an audience with the Ice King, appearing distraught.

He reported that "Doomsday has come! All life forms will die!" He described ominous signs: all their planted flowers and crops had withered, tornadoes appeared in the forests, and rivers had stopped flowing – events unprecedented in the Sprite Lands' 10,000-year history. Additionally, he noted that all crops in the mortal realm had been consumed overnight, speculating that monsters might be responsible. The Ice King immediately dispatched Xing Jiu to investigate these alarming phenomena.

On the Divine Snow Mountain, the group arrived at the Sky-Shattering Vermilion Bird Temple, which appeared as a beautiful and serene garden. Chao Ya suddenly spotted her mother, Queen Chi Lian, the previous Sprite Queen who had been missing for many years. Overjoyed, Chao Ya embraced her, asking where she had been all this time. However, her mother appeared distant and unfamiliar, asking if Chao Ya was indeed her daughter, seeming not to recognize her.

Chao Ya, confused and worried her mother was under duress, pleaded with her to return to the Sprite Lands. Her mother simply stated she was fine and not going anywhere. She then turned to Ka Suo, asking if he was the Ice King. Upon his confirmation, she announced that she was there to welcome them on behalf of Princess Die Che, the southern guardian of the Divine Snow Mountain, and bid them to follow her.
