The Ice King reflected on his marriage to Lian Ji, recalling how he had sought a Teardrop Charm from her. He explained that when a Mermaid Princess marries, she transforms into a human, and her first tear becomes a Teardrop Charm. Lian Ji, understanding she was married only for this purpose, felt a deep sense of betrayal and resentment towards him. The Ice King, feeling ashamed, stopped asking for the Teardrop Charm.

Later, the Ice King visited Lian Ji, who enthusiastically spoke of Ying Kong Shi's dedication, noting how he tirelessly worked on rebuilding the Ice Veil, assisting their tribesmen, and even caring for Princess Lan Shang. She observed that Shi had matured into a responsible prince and was now respected by those who once mocked his lack of magic.

The Ice King, acknowledging Ying Kong Shi's growth, stated his belief that Ka Suo would become the next Ice King, with Ying Kong Shi serving as his indispensable supporter. Displeased by the Ice King's apparent favoritism, Lian Ji secretly resolved to ensure Ying Kong Shi ascended the throne instead. The Sword Spirit's energy continued to lurk within Ka Suo, causing him immense suffering and repeated loss of control.

Ying Kong Shi arrived with the God Devouring Sword, using its power to subdue the evil spirits. Grandma Feng Tian, witnessing Ka Suo's torment, advised him against trying to negotiate with the ancient evil spirits. After being freed from the Sword Spirit's grasp, Ka Suo remained silent and departed, leaving Grandma Feng Tian worried. Ying Kong Shi reassured her, stating he understood his brother's desires and would help him. He promised she would soon see his plan unfold.

Ka Suo, burdened by the expectation to be King, internally confessed his desire for freedom, wishing to be like a sleet bird, unconstrained. He expressed that despite losing his spiritual powers and shortening his lifespan, he had found a different kind of freedom. Standing on a towering glacier, Ka Suo loudly declared his deepest wish: to be with Li Luo, to grow old and die together in the mortal realm. His messenger eagle carried this heartfelt message to Li Luo.

Upon hearing Ka Suo's wish, Li Luo became determined to find a way to restore his magic. Recalling that General Ke Tuo once said ancient spells might be found in the forbidden Ice Palace library, she decided to infiltrate it, intending to scour every book for a solution, despite it being a forbidden area even for the king. Following his acquisition of the God Devouring Sword, Ying Kong Shi's spiritual powers grew significantly.

Lian Ji observed his newfound strength, noting that he had become even more formidable than her. Ying Kong Shi himself expressed surprise at successfully mastering the morph spell on his first attempt to transform into Lan Shang, an ability not typically possessed by Ice Tribe gods. Lian Ji simply stated that a gifted god with powerful magic could transcend tribal limitations.

When Ying Kong Shi inquired if he could use this power to restore Ka Suo's magic, Lian Ji quickly dismissed the idea, calling it an impossible endeavor and a waste of energy. Meanwhile, Xing Jiu's Dream Source unexpectedly led him to the Seven Holy Alters. There, he encountered Lord Xuan Ta, Liu Yue, Wu Shen, Le Que, and Lord Zhan Xing, who revealed themselves as five heirs to the legendary Seven Saints.

They explained that Xing Jiu's Dream Source was, in fact, one of the ancient Holy Magic Cubes, making him the sixth heir. The Seven Saints’ primary mission was to select the successor to the Ice King. They believed that Ying Kong Shi must not be the Ice King of this generation. They informed Xing Jiu that Ka Suo was the sole heir and urged him to help ensure Ka Suo's ascension to the throne.

Xing Jiu, however, was skeptical, pointing out that only six of the seven saints were present. He scorned their attempt to impose a king, asserting that if their purpose was to choose a king, he already had his own answer, prioritizing Ka Suo's own choice. He then departed, leaving Lord Zhan Xing worried that Xing Jiu's refusal might alter Ka Suo's destiny.

Lord Zhan Xing remarked that the fate of the Ice Tribe and the three realms had been uncertain ever since Ying Kong Shi's birth and the mysterious disappearance of one of the Seven Saints, leaving them only able to prepare for the direst outcomes. Ying Kong Shi arrived at a prearranged meeting spot, where he was met not by Lan Shang, but by the Mermaid Saint.

She questioned his daily meetings with Lan Shang, reminding him that Lan Shang's rightful dance partner was Ka Suo, not him. The Mermaid Saint pressed Ying Kong Shi to honor his promise of making Lan Shang the Ice Queen. Ying Kong Shi, without elaborating on his methods, assured her he would fulfill his word. Later, Lian Ji sought out the Mermaid Saint, proposing a marriage between Ying Kong Shi and Lan Shang.

She expressed that it was the only way for the Mermaid Saint to be forgiven for making her marry the Ice King. The Mermaid Saint, however, saw through Lian Ji's true intentions, understanding that Lian Ji aimed to use this alliance with the Mermaid Tribe as a means to pressure the Ice King into naming Ying Kong Shi as his successor.

The Mermaid Saint openly expressed her disdain for Ying Kong Shi, deeming him cunning and evil, and believed Ka Suo was the rightful heir. She accused Lian Ji of persistent jealousy towards her older sister and her daughter, Lan Shang, and now saw her attempting to exploit Lan Shang for her own ambitions.

The Mermaid Saint subtly alluded to a shared secret known by herself, Lian Ji, and the Ice King, hinting at Ying Kong Shi's true parentage and warning Lian Ji against exposing it. Lian Ji, recalling how the Mermaid Saint had once interfered with her happiness, defiantly declared her resolve to elevate Ying Kong Shi to the status of the most esteemed king, ensuring neither the Mermaid Saint nor anyone else could ever disparage them again.

Yan Da, disguised in ice attire, embarked on a perilous mission to infiltrate the City of Bladed Snow. Her father warned her that the ice clothes would only last until dawn, necessitating her swift departure before the Ice Tribe discovered her presence. Yan Da assured him of her capability. Inside the city, Lian Ji approached Ying Kong Shi, claiming to have found a way to restore a god's spiritual power.

Ying Kong Shi, intrigued, was met with a condition: he must agree to become the Ice King. To Lian Ji's surprise, Ying Kong Shi readily accepted, revealing that he had always desired the throne. Bolstered by his unexpected agreement, Lian Ji expressed confidence that, by working together, they would achieve their goal, though she withheld the specific details of her plan until he was crowned king, instructing him to simply follow her guidance.

The Ice King sent Lan Shang a ceremonial dress and requested her to be Ka Suo's dance partner at the upcoming triumphal feast. Lan Shang, delighted, asked Ying Kong Shi to convey her acceptance. However, Ka Suo refused to wear the attire, admitting to Ying Kong Shi that while Lan Shang was a good person, he held no romantic feelings for her and had no desire to marry her.

To lift Ka Suo's spirits, Ying Kong Shi proposed a game of ice ball, reminding him of their childhood rules where the loser granted the winner a wish. As they played, Ka Suo playfully cheated. When asked for his prize, Ying Kong Shi requested Ka Suo's unwavering trust, a promise Ka Suo readily made. Ying Kong Shi then reserved his wish for a later time.

Suddenly, Ying Kong Shi sensed an anomaly and, under the pretext of saving a child, rushed away. He found Yan Da cornered by realm guardians outside the City of Bladed Snow. Ying Kong Shi swiftly rescued her and brought her back to his palace. Yan Da, emotionally vulnerable, confronted him, asking why he repeatedly saved her, even when she deliberately exposed herself to the guardians. She pressed him to define her place in his heart.

Ying Kong Shi coldly declared her an "enemy." When Yan Da expressed disbelief, he explained that he saved her out of a sense of obligation, having once betrayed her trust. Still unconvinced, Yan Da accused him of lying again. Ying Kong Shi then questioned her true purpose in the City of Bladed Snow, suspecting a Fire Tribe scheme. When Yan Da defiantly refused to reveal any further information, Ying Kong Shi used an illusion to render her unconscious.

In the forbidden library, Li Luo diligently searched through numerous ancient texts, including "History of the Ice Tribe," "Three Realms' Divine Commands," "Fate," and "Sprites and Demons." She grew frustrated, finding only ordinary books that seemed to offer no solution for Ka Suo's lost magic. Noticing a specific book was missing, she resolved to reread everything. After an entire night of fruitless searching, Li Luo felt increasingly anxious about Ka Suo's future.

Later, Ka Suo encountered Li Luo and, noticing her subdued mood, invited her to dance with him. Despite Li Luo's claim of not knowing how, Ka Suo tenderly taught her, and they began to dance gracefully by the city walls. As they moved, cherished memories of their past together resurfaced, bringing loving smiles to their faces. Oblivious to the growing crowd that had gathered to watch them, they reveled in the moment.

Lan Shang and the Mermaid Saint, arriving on the scene, witnessed Ka Suo and Li Luo dancing. Lan Shang, deeply hurt, immediately ran off. The Mermaid Saint, visibly concerned, questioned Ying Kong Shi about the unfolding scene, expressing her worry that Li Luo might jeopardize Lan Shang's marriage to Ka Suo.

Ying Kong Shi reassured her, stating that the dance would not affect Lan Shang becoming the Ice Queen and that his full plan would be revealed at the upcoming feast. Shortly after, an attendant informed Ka Suo that the celebratory feast was about to commence, and Li Luo confirmed her attendance as a realm guardian to receive her reward.
