Princess Yan Da brought Ying Kong Shi back, deeply distressed by his grave injuries and unconscious state from Shuo Gang's prolonged torture. Weeping, she refused to let him die and began expending her own spiritual power to heal him. The immense effort eventually caused Yan Da to collapse from exhaustion. Meanwhile, the Bear Tribe's power struggle culminated in a fierce battle. Hei Feng, with his innate strength, initially held the advantage over Liao Jian.
However, Liao Jian fought relentlessly, ultimately defeating Hei Feng. As Hei Feng, on the ground, pleaded for his life, Liao Jian condemned him for siding with enemies and betraying their allies, declaring him the Bear Tribe's greatest shame unworthy of being a bear or human. Liao Jian then executed Hei Feng. Shuo Gang, arriving with Fire Tribe guards after Hei Feng's defeat, found himself surrounded by Liao Jian's victorious forces and, realizing the unfavorable situation, quickly ordered a retreat.
Afterward, Liao Jian's subordinates took Princess Yan Da and the still unconscious Ying Kong Shi into custody. Princess Lan Shang ventured into the Mortal Realm, filled with curiosity, but also remembering the Mermaid Saint's stern warnings. The Saint had explained that mermaids' legs on land were only temporary before marriage, making prolonged walking difficult, and that any contact with Mortal Realm water, which connects to the Endless Sea, would instantly revert them to their original forms.
She was advised to be exceedingly cautious. While observing a market, Lan Shang saw crabs about to be made into drunken crabs and, unable to bear their fate, used her illusion magic to freeze time, releasing them. This act, however, temporarily depleted her spiritual power. She later came across a slave market, where a young man was being whipped to save his ailing mother.
Moved by their plight, Lan Shang bought both of them, using her tears which transformed into precious pearls, and set them free, advising them to live happily. She also inquired about Ka Suo, whom she was actively searching for, carrying his portrait. Lan Shang admitted that walking on land was tiring, and she longed for the permanent legs she would gain after marriage, so she could go anywhere with Ka Suo.
Unbeknownst to her, a cunning merchant had observed her pearls. He orchestrated a fake robbery, feigning injury and asking for her help. As she approached to assist, he seized the opportunity and splashed a bucket of water on her, causing her to revert to her mermaid form. Ka Suo, developing a fondness for Li Luo, inquired about the customs of mortal romance.
Li Luo explained that while mortal men might offer flowers to a woman they admired, a woman, in turn, would present a "one-of-a-kind bottle of wine" to her ideal partner. She further elaborated on the tradition of "Ideal Wine": parents ferment a special wine when their daughter is one year old, burying it until she meets her fated husband.
When Ka Suo asked if she had given hers away, Li Luo sadly revealed her orphan status, explaining she never had parents to prepare such a wine for her. Ka Suo, realizing his oversight, apologized. He then presented her with a beautifully fragrant wine bottle, a gift from his father on his own 100th birthday, which had the magical ability to transform any liquid poured into it into fine wine.
He fondly recalled his younger brother, Ying Kong Shi, once pranking him by putting an Ice Caterpillar in it. Ka Suo then shyly stated that he was gifting this bottle to her as her "Ideal Wine," not for her to drink, but for her to give to the man she loved in the future.
Li Luo teasingly called him "Father," given his divine age, but Ka Suo playfully retorted that he wasn't that old, despite being a century older than her in divine years. Li Luo then laughed, pointing out the impossibility of her, a mere human, living in the divine realm. Ying Kong Shi awoke three days later, discovering his body was healed and strangely imbued with the spiritual power of the Fire Tribe.
He learned that Yan Da, who had exhausted herself to save him, was now imprisoned by the Bear Tribe. Visiting her, Yan Da expressed her anguish, feeling abandoned by her own father and brother, and revealed that he, Yun Fei, was her only true friend in the world. Ying Kong Shi, deeply moved by her sacrifice, vowed to repay his life debt.
Yan Da then gave him the Heart-Burning Fruit's antidote and urged him to seek his freedom, intending to remain and face Liao Jian's judgment. However, Ying Kong Shi refused to leave her behind. He struck down the guards, attempting to escort Yan Da to safety, but they were intercepted by Liao Jian.
When Liao Jian blocked their path and insisted Yan Da, as a Fire Tribe princess, must remain, Ying Kong Shi, in a moment of desperation, unleashed Ice Tribe magic. This act exposed his true identity as Ying Kong Shi, the Prince of the Ice Tribe. Liao Jian, recognizing the Ice Prince, immediately commanded his guards to retreat.
As Ying Kong Shi led Yan Da away, she was devastated, exclaiming that he had changed his appearance and lied to her for so long. She felt betrayed, realizing her "best friend" was actually an Ice Prince, making friendship impossible between their warring tribes. Yan Da confronted him, acknowledging her tribe's role in the conflict, stating she had killed many of his brothers and sisters, and challenged him to take revenge.
Ying Kong Shi, in turn, acknowledged her kindness in saving his life, stating that he had now returned that kindness. He bid her farewell, hoping they would not meet again. Yan Da, however, declared him cruel and vowed that their next encounter would be on the battlefield, where she would personally burn him to death.
As she left, Ying Kong Shi watched her retreating figure, memories of their time together flashing through his mind, leaving him with a profound sense of loss. After Princess Chao Ya's rescue, the demonic music ceased troubling the Mortal Realm. Liao Jian arrived, calling out for Chao Ya, and they rushed into a joyful embrace.
Chao Ya expressed her relief, having feared she would never see him again after what happened with the Bear Tribe, but Liao Jian reassured her, reminding her of his promise to be with her. It was revealed that Liao Jian, the Bear King, was Princess Chao Ya's fiancé. Pian Feng, watching their reunion, silently harbored his own unrequited love. Ka Suo then met Liao Jian, and they discussed the Ice Tribe's plight.
Ka Suo explained that the Ice Veil was destroyed, and he was in the Mortal Realm to find the Six-Leaf Ice Crystal to rebuild it. Understanding the urgency, Princess Chao Ya and Liao Jian willingly offered the Ice Crystal, stating it originally belonged to the Ice Tribe's ancestors and was entrusted to theirs for safekeeping, and they were ready to return it to help in a time of crisis. Ka Suo gratefully accepted.
Lan Shang found herself trapped by the cunning merchant. He revealed he knew her identity as Princess Lan Shang and explained that the Fire King had issued a widespread bounty for her capture across the three realms. He informed her he intended to first exploit her, draining her of her precious pearl tears, before delivering her to the Fire King for the reward.
When Lan Shang refused to cry, the merchant brought forth the mother and son she had previously saved, revealing he had tricked them out of their pearls. To force Lan Shang's hand, he unleashed thousand-year-old Fire Snakes, menacingly suggesting they would devour the mother or son. Lan Shang, her compassionate nature overriding her resolve, pleaded with him not to harm them, and as she watched their torment, she began to shed tears, which materialized into pearls.
Ying Kong Shi played a mournful tune on a leaf flute, and Ka Suo, recognizing the sound, found him. The brothers were finally reunited. Ka Suo embraced Ying Kong Shi, apologizing for not being able to save him sooner and for letting him suffer. Ying Kong Shi reassured his brother that he was well and that Yan Da had not mistreated him; in fact, she had even given him the antidote to the Heart-Burning Fruit. However, Ka Suo's companions cautioned them, warning that Yan Da remained an enemy and likely had ulterior motives for her actions.
