She was particularly frustrated with Ye Yuxi, convinced he was intentionally making things difficult for her. However, the unexpected result of her meticulous cleaning of Ye Yuxi’s room was its online virality. Social media comments were overflowing with praise for Aizhe Hotel, turning the incident into invaluable free publicity.
Recognizing this accidental boon, Ye Yuxi called Jing Zhixia, cheekily suggesting she show her gratitude by treating him to a lavish meal. Jian Bufan, delighted, saw this as Jing Zhixia's second chance at romance and an opportunity to finally move past Fu Zeyi. As Jing Zhixia and Ye Yuxi enjoyed their meal, Fu Zeyi arrived, seemingly "just passing by."
He grew increasingly irritated witnessing Ye Yuxi's flirtatious gestures, especially when Ye Yuxi presented Jing Zhixia with a limited-edition designer bag as a "little gift" for his past misbehavior. Jing Zhixia, uncomfortable with the expensive present, insisted on paying for it. At that critical moment, Fu Zeyi had an important meeting scheduled with Mr. Sheng of Yiju Home, a key figure for the Fu Group's new project.
Overwhelmed by jealousy, Fu Zeyi prioritized confronting Jing Zhixia, instructing Ai Xin to handle Mr. Sheng and forcibly dragging Jing Zhixia away. This caused him to miss the appointment entirely. An enraged Jing Zhixia demanded to retrieve her bag, leading to a public struggle. Their argument was interrupted by the arrival of Fu Zeyi's father, Fu Guoqiang. He immediately confronted them, then summoned them to his office.
Fu Guoqiang lambasted Fu Zeyi for missing the crucial appointment with Mr. Sheng, accusing him of ruining the Fu Group's prospects and disregarding company interests multiple times, all for Jing Zhixia. He also brought up old rumors of illicit profit transfers between Fu Zeyi and Aizhe Hotel, warning that he could sue him.
Expressing his deep disappointment, Fu Guoqiang gave Fu Zeyi one week to secure the Yiju Home contract, threatening to strip him of all positions at the Fu Group if he failed. After his father stormed off, Jing Zhixia pressed Fu Zeyi about the accusations, asking if she was the cause of his troubles, but he dismissed his father's words as nonsense.
Later, Fu Zeyi confronted Ye Yuxi, demanding that he leave Aizhe Hotel and maintain a strict distance from Jing Zhixia. To enforce his demands, Fu Zeyi produced old photos of Ye Yuxi as a "chubby" person before his debut, threatening to release them to his fans and the media, which would shatter his carefully crafted "born handsome" image.
Ye Yuxi, initially defiant, argued that physical appearance isn't a flaw, but Fu Zeyi countered by highlighting how Ye Yuxi had used image editing to present himself as a "pretty boy." Realizing the potential damage these photos could cause to his career if his competitors got hold of them, Ye Yuxi reluctantly agreed to Fu Zeyi's terms, though not without questioning Fu Zeyi's true feelings for Jing Zhixia.
Fu Zeyi insisted his actions were solely for the sake of Aizhe, which was under his management. The weight of Fu Guoqiang's words continued to trouble Jing Zhixia. Soon after, Ai Xin delivered the new bag Fu Zeyi had promised, prompting Jing Zhixia to wonder about its origins. Her younger brother, Jian Bufan, later confirmed Jing Zhixia's suspicions, revealing that Fu Zeyi had indeed abandoned his plan to demolish the hotel because of her.
Hearing this, Jing Zhixia started to believe that Fu Guoqiang's accusations about Fu Zeyi's sacrifices for her were true. Meanwhile, Ai Xin worked to schedule a meeting with Mr. Sheng of Yiju Home for Fu Zeyi. Mr. Sheng's secretary informed her that he was on vacation and would be sailing at 3 PM, though she wouldn't disclose his exact location.
Narrowing it down to South Aowan Bay or North Aowan Bay, Fu Zeyi decided he and Ai Xin would split up to cover both locations due to time constraints. Just as they were about to leave, Ai Xin received a call from Second Uncle Fu Shengrong, who, having funded her in the past, ordered her to prevent Fu Zeyi from securing the contract with Mr. Sheng. Ai Xin, caught between loyalties, feigned sudden abdominal pain.
Fu Zeyi, concerned, immediately went to assist her. Coincidentally, Jian Bufan passed by and, after scolding Fu Zeyi for overworking his employee, offered to take Ai Xin to the hospital himself. At the hospital, the doctor mistakenly assumed Ai Xin was Jian Bufan's wife, a notion that secretly delighted Jian Bufan.
Despite being under Fu Shengrong's implicit threat, Ai Xin, worried about Fu Zeyi's future, discreetly messaged Jing Zhixia, informing her of Mr. Sheng's real location at North Aowan Bay and asking her to help Fu Zeyi. Shortly after, Ai Xin's fiancé arrived to pick her up but was promptly called back to work, leaving Ai Xin to return home with Jian Bufan.
Upon receiving Ai Xin's urgent message, Jing Zhixia called Fu Zeyi to inform him that Mr. Sheng was at North Aowan Bay, urging him to abandon his search at South Aowan Bay. Both rushed to North Aowan Bay, but Mr. Sheng's secretary blocked their entry, falsely claiming that Mr. Sheng had already left due to an urgent matter.
Realizing they were being stonewalled, Fu Zeyi and Jing Zhixia decided to search for other exits, believing Mr. Sheng would eventually have to leave. As they walked by the beach, they discovered a little girl named Yanyan playing alone. Concerned for her safety near the rising tide, they approached her. Yanyan, initially cautious of strangers, eventually warmed up to them after introductions and seeing an old, chubby photo of Fu Zeyi on his ID card, which greatly amused her.
Yanyan shared that she was looking for her best friend, a doll named Xiaoyou, which she had buried in the sand to keep dry while she collected shells, only to find it gone when she returned. As dusk fell, Jing Zhixia and Fu Zeyi offered to play with her. Yanyan suggested playing house, casting herself as the mother, Jing Zhixia as her daughter, and Fu Zeyi as her son-in-law.
They found her theatrical antics, like offering Fu Zeyi a million to leave her "daughter," highly entertaining. Later, as Yanyan drifted off to sleep, they contacted the police, who informed them that a missing child report had been filed for Yanyan. They also learned from Yanyan's nanny that her mother had passed away, and her father was still far away, rushing back.
Feeling deep sympathy for Yanyan, Jing Zhixia realized that the absence of her parents was likely why she treated her doll as a best friend. Inspired, Jing Zhixia obtained a photo of Xiaoyou from the nanny, noting that the doll's eyes had been mended. Despite neither of them being skilled at sewing, Jing Zhixia convinced Fu Zeyi that as the "smarter one," he could learn quickly to help her make a new, handmade Xiaoyou for Yanyan. They began their task, trying to soften the new doll to match the comforting feel of Yanyan's old one.
