Divine Destiny Episode 35 Recap
> Divine Destiny Recap
Yinfeng solemnly pledged to Gu Qing that he would dedicate himself to saving all living beings, hoping that once everything was over, they could return to the Wuding River. Meanwhile, the Demon Tower began to relentlessly absorb the world's spiritual energy, threatening to deplete it entirely. Yinfeng realized the gravity of the situation and understood his responsibility as a banished god, resolving to find a way to destroy the tower.
Sun Guo appeared, proudly declaring that his master's plan had succeeded, and he would soon ascend to the God Realm, having been granted the Soul of Immortal Cloud. He revealed that the Demon Tower's emergence was their elaborate design, intended to follow Ji Ruochen's destruction of the spiritual caves. Yinfeng scoffed at Sun Guo's arrogance, finding it ridiculous that someone like him aspired to immortality, which only strengthened Yinfeng's resolve to protect the Three Realms.
At the same time, the Nine Hells Master emerged from seclusion, immediately asking for Ji Ruochen. Zhang Yinyin, seeing the Demon Tower, firmly declared her intention to destroy it. Ji Ruochen agreed to accompany her but asked her to wait briefly. In a surprisingly short time, the Demon Tower dramatically collapsed. Zhang Yinyin was stunned, while Yinfeng expressed his delight. Ji Ruochen revealed that he had never intended to simply destroy the tower immediately.
During his previous visit to the Nine Hells, when he uncovered the truth about his past, he had secretly planted a wisp of the Blue Fire of the Nine Hells inside the tower. He allowed the enemy to believe he had abandoned his intention to destroy it, creating a trap. The Blue Fire of the Nine Hells would naturally incinerate the tower at the opportune moment, thereby also exposing the true mastermind.
With the tower's destruction, spiritual energy surged back into the world, bringing a collective sigh of relief and temporarily stabilizing the Three Realms. The Nine Hells Master, recognizing the signature of the Blue Fire of the Nine Hells, worried about the mastermind seeking revenge on Ji Ruochen and resolved to secretly protect him. Soon after, the Ascending Platform manifested, accompanied by a long staircase.
Sun Guo eagerly approached the Heavenly generals, Hao Ming and Yu Yun, who had arrived to investigate the sudden surge of spiritual energy. Sun Guo falsely accused Ji Ruochen, the Demon King, of being responsible for destroying the spiritual caves and manipulating the Demon Tower's emergence, presenting the Blue Fire of the Nine Hells as "evidence." He then suggested that Yinfeng, due to his familiarity with Ji Ruochen, could assist them in capturing him.
Hao Ming and Yu Yun then asked Yinfeng, a Border Patrol God, to aid in apprehending Ji Ruochen. Yinfeng refused, stating he no longer wished to return to the God Realm or interfere in such matters. He then confronted the generals, explaining his newfound understanding: true righteousness is not defined by labels like "immortal" or "demon," but by one's intentions and actions, a lesson he had learned from Gu Qing.
He admitted his past errors in judgment, reflecting on how he had once used Gu Qing to harm Ji Ruochen, concluding that he himself was the one who had truly been "demonized." Infuriated by Yinfeng's defiance and his perceived "slandering" of the God Realm, Hao Ming accused Yinfeng of colluding with demons and ordered celestial soldiers to seize him for punishment, reminding him of his past exile for Bluestone God.
After a brief struggle, Yinfeng managed to break away, though injured, and quickly found Ji Ruochen, urging him to hide from the approaching Heavenly generals. Ji Ruochen questioned why a banished god would help him, a Demon King. Yinfeng reiterated his profound realization that he had been mistaken in his judgment, and then, with sorrow, revealed that Gu Qing had tragically transformed back into a bluestone.
Though deeply saddened by Gu Qing's fate, Ji Ruochen and Zhang Yinyin put aside their grief, prioritizing the urgent need to confront and eliminate the true mastermind behind the chaos. Ji Ruochen then directly challenged Hao Ming and Yu Yun, demanding a legitimate reason for his capture, dismissing their baseless accusations. He declared his intention to ascend the Divine stairs and eliminate the "root of the chaos" in the Three Realms.
At this crucial moment, Taiyi, the High Immortal and true mastermind, finally appeared. Taiyi expressed regret for not having killed Ji Ruochen earlier. Ji Ruochen, however, recognized Taiyi as the architect of his family's demise and the destruction of the Nine Hells, and also the one behind the construction of the Demon Tower and the "flame face" he had encountered within it. Taiyi readily admitted his actions, acknowledging Ji Ruochen's intelligence in uncovering his secrets.
Sun Guo, underestimating the situation, foolishly tried to personally kill Ji Ruochen, only to be instantly struck down and killed by Taiyi, who saw him as an insignificant distraction. Taiyi then unleashed the Linglong Tower, a powerful artifact designed specifically to counteract the Blue Fire of the Nine Hells, aiming to suppress Ji Ruochen. Ji Ruochen initially found himself at a disadvantage against Taiyi's brutal attacks.
However, his master, Ziwei, emerged from seclusion, confirming his bond with Ji Ruochen and declaring his support. Soon after, other masters, including Xixuan and Ziyang, also arrived, chastising Taiyi for his ambition and asserting their commitment to fight alongside Ji Ruochen, whom they all considered their disciple. A fierce and devastating battle erupted as Ji Ruochen, empowered by his increased strength and united with his masters, engaged Taiyi.
