Late at night, an innkeeper knocked on Ji Ruochen's door, informing him that a swordsman downstairs had accumulated a large tab and asked Ji Ruochen to pay it. Curious, Ji Ruochen went downstairs and discovered the man was none other than Mr. Ji, who had previously given him the Qianyuan Manual. Mr. Ji invited Ji Ruochen to drink with him.

Ji Ruochen raised his cup to express his gratitude, acknowledging that without Mr. Ji's Qianyuan Manual, he would have perished, burned alive in a copper pot. Mr. Ji spoke of destiny and warned Ji Ruochen that his predestined calamity was approaching, urging him to be extremely cautious. Ji Ruochen pressed Mr. Ji about the "heavenly secret" and the "Calamity of the Three Realms," which his Master Ziyang had mentioned.

Mr. Ji stated that the Three Realms' chaotic energy had been out of balance for a long time, leading to inevitable chaos, which is a natural cycle. He emphasized that the true challenge lay in how the "person involved in the calamity" would face it, hinting that this person was Ji Ruochen himself.

Mr. Ji ominously added that Ji Ruochen's fate had changed, and his "date of death" was imminent, clarifying that this calamity was greater than any baleful star influencing his fate and had been written in his destiny since birth. He revealed that all their past actions were intended to guide Ji Ruochen onto the path of immortal cultivation so he could truly become the destined person to face the calamity.

Ji Ruochen and Zhang Yinyin arrived at the Cloud Residence, which they believed to be a branch of the Xixuan Sect, finding it deserted. They deduced the disciples must have left abruptly, perhaps not by choice. Suddenly, they heard a noise, and preparing for a fight, discovered it was Senior Yunfeng. Senior Yunfeng confirmed that Jin Shan, who had helped resolve the Qingxu secret poison, had recovered.

He explained that he was there under their master's orders to investigate the disappearance of many disciples from the Xixuan Sect's branch near the capital. He revealed that the Zhenwu Temple, under Sun Guo, was responsible. Sun Guo was not only hunting Xixuan disciples and forcing them to slander their own sect by fabricating evidence of misconduct, but also spreading rumors that Ji Ruochen's identity as a banished immortal was fake and that the Xixuan Sect was colluding with monsters.

He also disclosed that Xu Zekai had been imprisoned in the capital, his fate unknown. Ji Ruochen and Zhang Yinyin expressed their intent to go to the capital to confront Sun Guo and rescue Xu Zekai. Senior Yunfeng, acknowledging their reluctance to return to Xixuan Mountain due to previous controversies, reminded them that they were Xixuan disciples for life and would eventually return, but conceded that now was not the right time.

Ji Ruochen and Zhang Yinyin planned to infiltrate the prison while Senior Yunfeng arranged carriages for their escape. Inside, they found many young Xixuan disciples, severely injured. Zhang Yinyin was enraged by the cruelty. Confronted by guards, Ji Ruochen instructed Zhang Yinyin to evacuate the children while he went to find Xu Zekai.

He located Xu Zekai, who explained that Crown Prince Li An had been swayed by Sun Guo and Luo Xichen, leading to the Zhenwu Temple's increased influence and their current aggressive actions against the Xixuan Sect. Xu Zekai suggested finding Li An to explain the truth and clear the sect's name. Ji Ruochen decided to go alone that very night to meet Li An. That night, Ji Ruochen went to the Crown Prince's mansion.

Luo Xichen, the Crown Princess, offered Li An a specially prepared Lily and Lotus Seed Soup, urging him to rest. As Li An retreated, Ji Ruochen appeared. Luo Xichen, aware of his purpose, stated that Li An was tired and she could handle any matters.

Ji Ruochen insisted on speaking to Li An directly about the false accusations against the Xixuan Sect, but Luo Xichen revealed she already knew, claiming the Imperial Advisor had told her the Xixuan Sect was hiding the Shenzhou Energy Map and intending to cause chaos.

Luo Xichen pretended to lead Ji Ruochen to Li An’s bedroom, where she then deceptively stabbed him with three Ecstasy Needles, which she claimed were refined with immortal arts and would cause victims to go mad and die. She then revealed her true motive: revenge for Yin Feng, whom she believed Ji Ruochen was responsible for his fate. Stunned and in immense pain, Ji Ruochen, his body burning and his strength sealed, realized the betrayal.

Luo Xichen called for an assassin alarm and, seeing more guards arriving, Ji Ruochen managed to escape by climbing onto the eaves. Fortunately, Mr. Ji appeared and quickly intervened. He managed to extract one of the Ecstasy Needles from Ji Ruochen's body, but two remained, moving unstably and directly threatening his blood and pulses. Mr. Ji declared that Ji Ruochen's life was in grave danger.

Zhang Yinyin, enraged, wanted to seek immediate revenge at the Crown Prince's mansion, but Mr. Ji stopped her, explaining that such a rash act would not only endanger her life but also play directly into Sun Guo's strategy to frame the Xixuan Sect. Zhang Yinyin desperately pleaded with Mr. Ji to save Ji Ruochen. Mr. Ji agreed to try, despite his humble claims of only knowing a little about medicine.

He then suggested that Senior Yunfeng, known for his Golden Elixir Skill inherited from Master Ziyang, should refine elixirs to aid Ji Ruochen's recovery. Senior Yunfeng, though modest about his skill, readily agreed to do his utmost. Mr. Ji also speculated that Yin Feng might be involved in refining the Ecstasy Needles due to the presence of immortal power. Meanwhile, Luo Xichen dispatched Zhenwu Temple disciples to relentlessly pursue Ji Ruochen, aiming to eradicate him completely.

She acknowledged that Ji Ruochen was proving tougher than expected, as Senior Yunfeng had been seen purchasing herbs for internal injuries. Back at their refuge, Zhang Yinyin and Senior Yunfeng diligently cared for the gravely injured Ji Ruochen. One day, Ji Ruochen's eyes suddenly opened. Zhang Yinyin, overjoyed at his awakening after so long, rushed to embrace him. However, Ji Ruochen, seemingly a different person, reacted violently, grabbing her and acting like a predatory animal.

Zhang Yinyin struggled and cried for help. Mr. Ji and Senior Yunfeng quickly arrived and pulled them apart. Mr. Ji explained that Ji Ruochen's violent outburst was a manifestation of the Ecstasy Needles' poison. He revealed that he had temporarily locked the remaining two needles in Ji Ruochen's Yun and Fu acupoints, but this was only a temporary measure, and a more permanent solution was needed.

Senior Yunfeng reassured Ji Ruochen that Xu Zekai was recovering well and had been sent back to Xixuan Mountain for reinforcements. Ji Ruochen complained of severe chest and head pain. Mr. Ji, reiterating the severity of Ji Ruochen's condition and the unpredictable "wild beast" like attacks, urged Senior Yunfeng to continue refining the elixirs and warned both Senior Yunfeng and Zhang Yinyin to "pay more attention" to Ji Ruochen throughout the night.

Zhang Yinyin, realizing the implications of Mr. Ji's warning, decided that she would sleep in the outer room while Senior Yunfeng would take the kitchen, ensuring Ji Ruochen was constantly monitored by one of them.
