Destiny's Love Episode 7 Recap
> Destiny's Love Recap
Duola, disguised, visits Wen Suxi in the hospital and encounters Lin Haoshu at the ward entrance. Lin Haoshu greets her as Suxi's "good buddy" and expresses gratitude for her visit. He explains that Suxi, known for her short temper and reluctance to ask for help, is having a difficult time. He reveals Suxi sold her house to cover a penalty for breach of contract, leaving Duola astonished. Lin Haoshu requests Duola to assist Suxi if the opportunity arises.
Soon after, Wen Suxi's father, Mr. Wen, arrives, looking remarkably different. Lin Haoshu barely recognizes him, observing his unusual attire and exaggerated behavior. Mr. Wen, who was previously shy and frugal, is now dressed fashionably and speaks humorously. Claiming to be "in high spirit," Mr. Wen expresses deep remorse for not fulfilling his fatherly duties since Suxi's mother left them, believing it made Suxi too independent.
He playfully teases Duola, recalling their past meeting at Suxi's home and his prediction of her fame. Duola, having other commitments, quickly departs, promising to meet another time. Lin Haoshu questions Mr. Wen about his dramatic transformation, to which Mr. Wen vaguely attributes it to fitness and staying youthful. Lin Haoshu then escorts Mr. Wen to Suxi's ward, redirecting the conversation. Leaving Lin Haoshu, Duola encounters Chi Yu in the hospital lobby.
She tries to engage him, recalling their elevator ride at a previous party, but Chi Yu doesn't recognize her, which annoys her. As You You wheels Wen Suxi past, Chi Yu's demeanor shifts; he smiles broadly at Suxi, startling her. Chi Yu, who now believes Suxi is the reincarnation of Jiwan, gazes at her affectionately and shows concern for her well-being, which makes Suxi very uncomfortable, feeling Chi Yu has a problem with his brain.
He then pushes Suxi's wheelchair, speaking of eternal companionship, which Suxi finds unnerving, questioning his sanity and suggesting he see a neurologist. Chi Yu tells her that he is there to share her burdens and that she can start anew. Suxi, frustrated, challenges his words, remarking on the long journey she took to achieve her current standing.
Chi Yu counters by asking how long it took him to find her again, before Suxi dismisses him as having "a problem with his brain." Tang Mao, arriving to see Suxi, spots Chi Yu and confronts him, asking about his intentions. Chi Yu asserts his purpose is to stay with Suxi. Tang Mao attempts to send him away, but Chi Yu refuses, intensifying their silent rivalry for Suxi's care.
Suddenly, Chi Yu lifts Suxi in a "princess carry" and takes her back to her ward, despite her protests. Inside, Mr. Wen, already present, warmly greets Tang Mao. Chi Yu observes Mr. Wen and You You acting unusually—You You is uncontrollably sad, and Mr. Wen is overly dramatic. He deduces their conditions are linked to the "circulation of energy."
Knowing the Pen of Constellation can only be used once a day, Chi Yu first uses it to restore You You to her normal state, causing her to immediately stop crying and become confused by Mr. Wen's flamboyant attire. Tang Mao instructs his assistant to guard Wen Suxi's ward, explicitly stating no unauthorized personnel should disturb her. He then warns Lin Haoshu and You You about Chi Yu's unknown background and motives, suggesting he could be a threat to Suxi.
He mentions Chi Yu's suspicious presence at the hospital during Suxi's car accident and his possible connection to Qian Ning. Lin Haoshu, swayed by Tang Mao's arguments, agrees to prevent Chi Yu from entering the ward. After Tang Mao's instructions, Chi Yu confronts Lin Haoshu. When Lin Haoshu accuses Chi Yu of only approaching him for Suxi, Chi Yu asserts his purpose is to protect Suxi.
He privately reflects on the dangerous "energy vortex" affecting Suxi and his need to stay by her side to ensure her safety. Meanwhile, Tang Mao confirms with You You that Suxi is indeed selling her house to cover the penalty. He reassures You You that he will ensure Suxi doesn't become homeless, an implicit promise to buy her house. You You later goes to Suxi's office to retrieve her belongings but finds it completely cleared out.
Cai Shumeng appears, making a thinly veiled attempt to recruit You You to her team, leveraging Suxi's recent resignation. Infuriated by Cai Shumeng's opportunism, You You sarcastically suggests Cai Shumeng is better suited for the Neighborhood Committee before dramatically quitting her job, making a scene for the entire floor to hear. Later, You You tells Suxi about her dramatic resignation, much to Suxi's dismay, who scolds her for being impulsive, especially given Suxi's own financial struggles.
You You, however, remains steadfast in her desire to stay by Suxi's side. Wen Suxi struggles with her father's drastically altered personality. Mr. Wen, now flamboyant and outgoing, flirts with nurses and expresses his intention to confess his love to his salsa teacher. Suxi is appalled, stating he's acting like a peer and urging him to pursue his newfound love elsewhere. Mr. Wen, however, insists on staying by her side, proclaiming her as his most cherished person.
Chi Yu, observing this, recognizes that Mr. Wen was originally emotionally reserved. He decides to use the Pen of Constellation to revert Mr. Wen to his previous, less expressive state, effectively ending his flamboyant behavior. Meanwhile, Suxi learns that her house has been purchased, and to her astonishment, the buyer is Chi Yu. He confirms he paid over "20 million yuan" in full, simply wanting to help her and prevent her from being homeless.
Suxi is highly suspicious, questioning his true identity, motives, and the string of unfortunate events that have plagued her since his arrival. She refuses to accept his "free lunch" unless he reveals all, then walks out with You You. Tang Mao, who had also tried to buy Suxi's house but was too late, confronts Chi Yu.
He offers an additional "five million yuan" to purchase the house from Chi Yu, but Chi Yu steadfastly refuses, asserting that "money is not everything." Chi Yu then tells Tang Mao that his sole purpose is to protect Wen Suxi, and in his view, Tang Mao is the greatest threat to her. Furious, Tang Mao walks away, only to receive a cryptic text message "Who are you?" on his phone from Qian Ning's old phone (which Chi Yu had recovered). Chi Yu, having sent the message, further solidifies his suspicion that Tang Mao poses the real danger to Suxi.
