Wen Suxi and Duola preparing to leave the set. Wen Suxi kindly offers to help Duola carry her bag, which Duola initially declines, saying her assistant Natie would handle it. However, Wen Suxi insists and takes the bag. Suddenly, an electrical wire sparks and strikes Wen Suxi, causing her to fall into the nearby lake. People nearby cry for help. Chi Yu, still weakened, arrives at the scene and immediately jumps into the water.
He uses the power of the Pen of Constellation to save Wen Suxi, but the effort causes him to sink to the bottom. As he drifts deeper, Chi Yu reflects that the Pen of Constellation can only be used once daily after midday. He thinks to himself that everything has come to an end, apologizing to Wen Suxi that he can no longer protect her, and hoping all the troubles he caused would cease with his disappearance.
Just as Chi Yu fades, a mysterious energy pulls him back to the surface. He looks up to see Hua Yecheng, another destiny writer. Hua Yecheng chides Chi Yu, reminding him that forcibly altering Wen Suxi's energy, which has been deficient for a long time, would disrupt the surrounding energy and harm those around her, with Duola being the current victim. He then announces his intention to bring Chi Yu back to the Big Dipper for punishment.
Before fainting, Chi Yu repeatedly cries out for Duola to be saved. Annoyed by the "nuisance," Hua Yecheng sighs and decides to intervene. He comments that the "superstar," Duola, shouldn't miss out on a hero saving someone. Hua Yecheng then uses his powers to reset the timeline, undoing the accident. He also ensures the faulty electrical wire is shut down, preventing any mishap. Later, Hua Yecheng takes Chi Yu to a bar to "celebrate."
Chi Yu, surprised by the assistance, asks why Hua Yecheng helped him when he was supposed to take him for punishment. Hua Yecheng reveals that Chi Yu's Pen of Constellation is depleting, weakening his abilities to near a mundane human's level. He explains that three thousand years ago, Ji Wan died shielding Chi Yu from three arrows, and those arrows transformed into three tribulations embedded in her energy field, limiting her lifespan to thirty years.
Chi Yu's recent intervention caused her energy deficit to begin repairing. To fully mend her energy, all three of these tribulations must be resolved. Hua Yecheng informs Chi Yu that today's incident was the first, meaning two more trials await Wen Suxi. Chi Yu questions why Hua Yecheng is revealing this. Hua Yecheng states that by helping Chi Yu, he has made Chi Yu indebted to him, and he expects the favor to be returned in the future.
He also mentions he has other tasks on Earth, like finding the Sun and Moon Jade and "exploring" an interesting girl. However, Hua Yecheng firmly states he will not directly interfere with Wen Suxi's personal affairs, but he can manage the peripheral issues concerning those around her. Chi Yu tries to discuss further plans, suggesting the best way to help Wen Suxi is to read her star map at the curator's place, implicitly acknowledging the curator's current absence.
But Hua Yecheng quickly loses interest, instead striking up a conversation with a woman at the bar, introducing himself as Mr. Hua. Meanwhile, Wen Suxi takes Duola to a favorite old restaurant, where the waiter greets Wen Suxi warmly, noting her preferred dish and unchanged taste. They reminisce about the restaurant's consistency. Over dinner, Duola playfully asks if she's being "nice enough" by bringing Wen Suxi for supper even with an audition tomorrow, to which Wen Suxi thanks her.
They enjoy their specially prepared boiled meat slices. Wen Suxi asks Duola if she will accept the acting role in her sample movie. Duola acknowledges the project's importance for Wen Suxi, an "outdated producer," and asks for filming dates. Wen Suxi says the schedule isn't fixed yet but estimates three days would be needed. Duola then negotiates, first asking for two days, then one, before finally agreeing to dedicate three days from the 5th to the 7th of next month.
Wen Suxi is overjoyed. Back at Chi Yu's home, Lin Haoshu calls You You, discussing Chi Yu's mysterious condition, mentioning he saw blood on him and wondering if he should call the police. He then sees Chi Yu and hangs up. Lin Haoshu confronts Chi Yu, asking where he went and insisting he saw him covered in blood. Chi Yu dismisses it as Lin Haoshu being too busy and having "hallucinations."
Lin Haoshu vehemently denies this, recounting in detail finding Chi Yu injured, giving him brown sugar water, and Chi Yu's subsequent questions about Wen Suxi before rushing out. Chi Yu maintains he was merely feeling unwell but not seriously, and suggests that putting away his cup after use might prevent future "hallucinations." Chi Yu then goes to bed, leaving a confused Lin Haoshu to ponder if he truly hallucinated.
Later, Wen Suxi arrives at Chi Yu's place, bringing food for him and Lin Haoshu. Lin Haoshu remarks on her thoughtfulness and on Chi Yu's "extreme simplicity" regarding furniture. Learning that Chi Yu is unwell and might be injured, Wen Suxi grows concerned. She rushes upstairs to Chi Yu's room, entering without knocking and playfully asserting her "leader" status. She again notes his lack of a mattress. Chi Yu confirms he has a "little cold."
Wen Suxi tries to take his temperature but finds no fever. Remembering how he cared for her when she was sick, she tries to feed him porridge, but Chi Yu refuses, claiming he's not hungry and that the porridge is too hot. Wen Suxi eventually gives up. As she leaves, Chi Yu internally laments that he doesn't know how much longer he can protect her, and that their shared moments will only be his memory.
Just then, Wen Suxi receives a call from Tang Mao, who informs her he's almost at her house with a gift. Wen Suxi expresses surprise, asking him to give advance notice next time. She goes downstairs and finds Lin Haoshu, discussing the script with him. Lin Haoshu reveals he quit his training class, saying he never felt he was a good teacher and always wanted to pursue screenwriting.
Touched by his dedication, Wen Suxi embraces him and declares her determination to work hard, ensuring neither he, You You, nor Chi Yu will be disappointed. From his balcony, Chi Yu watches Tang Mao enter Wen Suxi's house. Inside, Tang Mao offers Wen Suxi a drink and a gift, and they discuss her recovering foot.
He reminds her of her 2 PM follow-up appointment the next day and insists on accompanying her, feeling guilty for not being there when she was sick. Wen Suxi agrees. They then talk about her new movie, confirming Duola's participation. Tang Mao asks about Chi Yu, noting Wen Suxi's concern for him. He pointedly remarks that Wen Suxi seems to care more about Chi Yu than herself, visibly annoyed.
As Tang Mao leaves, he exchanges a polite wave with Chi Yu, who is still on the balcony, now seething with anger. Soon after, Hua Yecheng, having seemingly learned about Chi Yu's "big house," brazenly moves in. Chi Yu, after some argument about Hua Yecheng helping him find the missing curator, introduces him to Lin Haoshu as a "relative" the next morning. Elsewhere, Natie tries to stop Duola from leaving, saying Ms. Ping is looking for her.
Duola, however, is determined to go "to a place without you," and laments that she can't drive herself. Suddenly, Hu Dongkai appears, offering her a ride, which she accepts. Inside the car, Hu Dongkai complains about her lack of communication and asks if she wants to end their relationship. Duola clarifies that their connection is strictly professional, accusing him of overthinking. Hu Dongkai argues, referencing news headlines about their "secret relationship" and calling her "his woman" in the public eye.
Duola dismisses it as "just acting." Hu Dongkai insists she must have some feelings for him. Duola challenges him to name her real name, which he fails to do. She tells him to simply drop her off. Hu Dongkai is confused, asking why she would miss an opportunity to be with him in the car. Duola then mocks him, asking if he thinks he's so handsome and amazing that all girls like him.
Hu Dongkai confidently boasts about his physique and successful career, claiming no girl has a reason to refuse him. Duola retorts, "How about 'stupid'?" She then challenges his art exam score, leading to a petty argument. Annoyed, Duola demands he pull over and gets out of the car. Hu Dongkai tries to coax her back, reminding her it's hard to get a cab and she'll be photographed.
Duola states she doesn't want to ride in his car or the company car because she doesn't know how to drive. Hu Dongkai then apologizes and offers to teach her, but Duola refuses to be friends or to get to know him. Hu Dongkai, visibly hurt, reminds her to reply to his work-related messages and drives away.
Duola watches him leave, calling him a "fool," but is then immediately surrounded by a crowd of paparazzi who recognize her and start taking photos. The next day, Tang Mao accompanies Wen Suxi to her follow-up appointment. The doctor confirms good recovery but warns her not to get injured again. Afterwards, Tang Mao surprises Wen Suxi with a pair of comfortable-looking women's shoes, explaining he tried them on and found them comfortable.
Wen Suxi is slightly embarrassed that he bought women's shoes but agrees to try them. Tang Mao then kneels to change her shoes for her, making Wen Suxi feel uncomfortable by the overly attentive gesture.
