Upon seeing Wang Xingsheng's photo, Li Jinyu immediately recalled that his mother, Li Lingbai, had dealings with this man, realizing the situation was more complicated than he initially thought.
As soon as Li Jinyu and Ye Meng departed, Mr. Qian quickly called Wang Xingsheng to warn him that people were looking for him. Meanwhile, Li Jinyu and Ye Meng split up to search. Ye Meng first confirmed Wang Xingsheng's presence at the Galaxy Hotel. He then subtly threatened her, hinting at having incriminating evidence against her. Li Lingbai feigned agreement to his demands. She claimed that such a large sum would need to go through company channels and asked him to stay at the club for a few days, effectively holding him captive. Desperate, he attempted to coerce Fang Yanen into mortgaging her pre-marital home to cover his spiraling debts, which included a new car and failed business ventures. Fang Yanen vehemently refused, asserting that the house was her pre-marital property and that they were divorced, despite the creditors' claims. Chen Jian resorted to violence, attempting to snatch the property deed from her. Just then, Ye Meng and Cheng Kairan arrived.
Ye Meng quickly called the police while Cheng Kairan intervened physically to protect Fang Yanen. After a heated struggle, Chen Jian was apprehended. Following the incident, Ye Meng and Cheng Kairan took Chen Jian to the police station. As they left, Li Jinyu arrived.
