Chen Qing reported to Gu Yanxi that the gambling dens sent their money to the Qixing Tower every day. In all of Jinyang, big or small, every gambling den was backed by the same person—Master Yue of Wealth. The Immortal Envoy of the Bright Moon was likely just a facade he used to scam money. The Immortal Envoy’s tricks were seen through by Hua Zhi, who handed over a bag of money along with a note.

After reading it, the Immortal Envoy summoned her behind the screen. Hua Zhi exposed her deception and demanded that she return the money taken from the previous man who came seeking medicine. In front of the crowd, the Immortal Envoy didn’t say much and complied with Hua Zhi’s request. On her way back, Hua Zhi was followed and attacked by someone wielding a blade, but Gu Yanxi appeared in time and pulled her away, saving her.

Having offended the Immortal Envoy, Hua Zhi was gradually distanced by the ladies, some even refusing to meet with her. When she went to browse goods at shops in the city, the shopkeepers, upon hearing she was from the Hua family, refused to do business with her. Bao Xia investigated and found out that Qixing Tower had ordered all merchants in the city not to engage in business with Hua Zhi.

Just as she was at her wit's end, someone delivered a note to Hua Zhi, revealing that it was Master Yue of Qixing Tower who was supporting the Immortal Envoy to deceive the people and amass wealth under false pretenses. Upon learning this, Hua Zhi came up with a plan. She disguised herself as the Immortal Envoy of Penglai and offered free celestial readings to the people, using children’s nursery rhymes to build up her identity.

Gu Yanxi, upon hearing the news, decided to visit this "Immortal Envoy of Penglai" and play a little trick of his own—gaining something for nothing. Meanwhile, Hua Rong was pregnant. Jiang Zhengzhi was so moved he shed tears and thoughtfully accompanied her to buy snacks. On the street, Hua Rong ran into Gu Yanxi and introduced him to Jiang Zhengzhi.

Gu Yanxi visited the Immortal Envoy of Penglai, saying he wanted to build an Eight Winds Pavilion in Jinyang to worship her and offered three hundred taels of gold as a tribute. But when the box was brought inside, Hua Zhi found it was filled with stones. Realizing his intentions, she decided to play along. Just as they exited Qingfeng Pavilion, Zeng Ming arrived, holding an invitation and requesting to meet the Immortal Envoy of Penglai and Gu Yanxi.

After entering the Qixing Tower, Gu Yanxi dismissed Chen Qing and Li Hou, and went upstairs with Hua Zhi. Together, they entered the top room of Qixing Tower. Inside were astronomical instruments and a star observation platform. The so-called celestial prophecies were fake, but the astronomical equipment was real. Gu Yanxi sensed that Manager Yue didn’t seem capable of interpreting the movements of the heavens.

When Hua Zhi stepped forward to examine the platform, she noticed incense burning and gave Gu Yanxi a look—he understood immediately but continued to feign civility so as not to alarm the enemy. After understanding Hua Zhi’s purpose in coming to Jinyang, Manager Yue told her he could give her a golden name plaque, which would allow her to trade freely in the city—as long as she stopped impersonating an Immortal Envoy.

He then turned to ask what Gu Yanxi wanted. Gu Yanxi brought up the nursery rhyme circulating in the capital, and Manager Yue’s expression immediately changed. After ensuring Hua Zhi’s safe departure, Gu Yanxi demanded that Manager Yue bring out the person behind it all. At last, the Immortal Envoy of the Bright Moon appeared. Now that things were out in the open, Gu Yanxi questioned the Immortal Envoy about the nursery rhyme in the capital.

She claimed it had nothing to do with her, saying he had the wrong person. Gu Yanxi declared he was taking her back, but the Immortal Envoy had already made preparations. A large group of assassins ambushed him, surrounding him completely. After defeating a number of them, Gu Yanxi signaled through the window, and Chen Qing led reinforcements inside. Once the Immortal Envoy’s followers were subdued, Gu Yanxi grabbed her by the neck.

Gu Yanxi took the Immortal Envoy to the magistrate's office and revealed his identity as an officer of the Office of the Seventh Guard. He locked her in the district jail and warned the officials to guard her carefully. Zeng Ming asked Hua Zhi to safeguard a locked box for one day and night. The Immortal Envoy guessed Gu Yanxi’s noble identity and offered the full support of Qixing Tower, even suggesting she would offer herself to him. But Gu Yanxi didn’t fall for it at all. He told her that even if Qixing Tower ruled over all of Jinyang, he would still turn the skies upside down.
