Beautiful Reborn Flower Episode 7 Recap
> Beautiful Reborn Flower Recap
Qiao Fang returned to her home country for good. She soon encountered her ex-boyfriend, He Jian Feng, who sarcastically questioned why she was back, implying trouble with her marriage abroad. Qiao Fang, annoyed, told him not to make fun of her. He offered to help her with her heavy luggage, but she declined. Seeing her alone, He Jian Feng offered her a job at his accounting firm and handed her his business card, which she took without looking.
Unbeknownst to He Jian Feng, Yang Lan, who had been tracking him, recorded his interaction with Qiao Fang. She reported to Ms. Xu (Ah Li) that she believed she found He Jian Feng's weakness – he was seeing another woman, Qiao Fang. Ms. Xu instructed Yang Lan to monitor them closely, believing this could be their opportunity to expose him.
Their conversation was interrupted by Mo Hui, who burst in with urgent news: a large number of counterfeit artworks, almost identical to their own and sold at a third of the price, had flooded the market. This had led to numerous order cancellations from distributors and alarmed the company's board of directors.
Ms. Xu, realizing the gravity of the situation, told Mo Hui to accompany her to face the board, while sending Yang Lan to the airport to pick up Lin Heping. Meanwhile, Duo Ge and his accomplice, A Mao, had broken into Lin Heping's home through a hole they drilled in the back wall. Duo Ge, who had scouted the location, was initially disappointed to find no infrared sensors.
He then began to instruct A Mao on how to identify valuable items, criticizing A Mao for his lack of expertise. Duo Ge emphasized that the truly valuable items are often lightweight and displayed openly because they represent "culture" and "heritage" to the wealthy. He then pointed out "The Riverbank Diary" as a prime example, before instructing A Mao to focus on stealing the paintings, again stressing their cultural significance.
Lin Heping and Qiao Man arrived at the airport, where Qiao Man expressed her joy at being back and messaged her sister. Yang Lan was there to meet Lin Heping, immediately informing him about the company's dire situation with widespread order cancellations and the urgent need for him to attend a meeting. Lin Heping, however, seemed unconcerned, dismissing Ah Li’s urgency as overreaction.
He prioritized finding Qiao Man a place to stay, stating he needed to return the favor for her helping him with the flight. When Yang Lan pressed him to go to the office, Lin Heping subtly reminded her of her “screw-up in Barcelona,” which made her relent and agree to his plan. As they left, Qiao Man reiterated that she was returning to Barcelona once she had settled her business, which involved collecting a debt.
Han Sen returned to China and entered the An Corporation with a grand, self-important demeanor. He immediately took charge of the wine distribution business, announcing that under his leadership, they would dominate the Chinese market. He demanded sales reports from all employees as an introduction. Initially, some employees, not recognizing him, quietly mocked him as a mere job seeker. Han Sen quickly asserted his authority, introducing himself as the CEO and declaring a new, ruthless era.
He stated that sales performance would determine rank and that anyone who was a "dead weight" would be removed. He emphasized that he was there to grow the business, not to cater to their egos, and recounted his past success in Barcelona, which he attributed to his aggressive methods. Zhu Fan, An Kailun's brother-in-law and the company's general manager, approached Han Sen to welcome him.
Han Sen, without hesitation, claimed Zhu Fan's office as his own, stating it was the most appropriate place for the person in charge. He then proceeded to criticize the office's decor, calling the paintings "hideous" and the chair uncomfortable. Zhu Fan, clearly irritated, warned Han Sen not to be overly arrogant, reminding him that his brother-in-law, An Kailun, was known for being stingy.
Han Sen countered, stating he worked for Yi Pin Winery for business, not for personal benefits, and demanded that the office be cleared of Zhu Fan's belongings. Zhu Fan, expressing his disinterest in the wine business, agreed, stating he would rather pursue his dreams in cinema. Duo Ge, having stolen several paintings and "The Riverbank Diary" from Lin Heping's home, tried to sell the diary to a book collector.
He dramatically presented it as a "gem" he had risked his life to acquire, asking the collector to name his price. The collector, however, only offered RMB10. Duo Ge was astonished, reiterating its value and the danger he faced to get it, but the book collector remained unmoved. He stated that, regardless of how it was acquired, the book's condition made it worth no more than RMB10, or RMB12 at best for resale.
Disappointed by the low offer, Duo Ge reluctantly sold the diary. Lin Heping took Qiao Man to a luxurious hotel, arranging for an indefinite stay and assuring her that all expenses, including meals, would be covered. Qiao Man was overwhelmed by the opulence and Lin Heping’s generosity, jokingly asking if he was "for real" or a "conman." As he checked her passport, Lin Heping confirmed internally that her name was indeed Qiao Man. After ensuring she was settled, he left.
Qiao Man, overjoyed by the luxurious accommodations, called Xiao Zhi. She outlined her plans to first find Ben, then visit her sister, and then return to Barcelona once her debt was collected. She stressed that Xiao Zhi should absolutely not tell Han Sen she was in China, as she wanted to avoid him. Xiao Zhi, perplexed by Qiao Man's reluctance, questioned why she wouldn't give Han Sen, who was clearly "smitten," a chance.
Qiao Man, however, dismissed Han Sen as an "ugly toad" and reaffirmed her lack of interest in him. At the company board meeting, Director Yan vehemently criticized Ms. Xu (Ah Li) for the severe crisis, emphasizing the substantial financial losses and the potential damage to their upcoming public offering. Ms. Xu defended herself and Lin Heping, pointing out their significant personal investments in the new products and asking for time to investigate.
She assured the agitated board that Lin Heping was on his way and would provide a satisfactory solution. When Lin Heping finally arrived, he apologized for his tardiness, citing "personal matters." He was visibly shocked upon realizing the true extent of the problem: a massive counterfeiting operation had released nearly identical products at a third of their price, causing all their carefully secured orders from Barcelona to be cancelled, a situation far worse than Yang Lan had initially reported.
Lin Heping immediately instructed Mo Hui and Yang Lan to investigate the source of the counterfeits and promised the board he would resolve the crisis, receiving a stern warning from Director Yan not to fail again. Later, while Lin Heping was having dinner with Ms. Xu (Ah Li), who was celebrating a promotion, they were unexpectedly interrupted by Luo Chen, a former university classmate.
Luo Chen immediately confronted Lin Heping, expressing his anger and questioning Lin Heping's conscience, seemingly referring to Nan Sheng's death and Lin Heping's recent trip to Barcelona. Lin Heping angrily told him to "shut up," stating his visit to Barcelona was for work. Luo Chen then sarcastically congratulated Lin Heping on his company's impending public offering, before issuing a chilling warning: he would relentlessly pursue Lin Heping, predicting that "the higher you rise, the harder you'll fall."
Lin Heping, provoked, snapped that even if he had hurt Nan Sheng, it was "none of your business" and grabbed Luo Chen by the collar. Xiao Xi intervened to break up the escalating confrontation, reminding both men that they were all Nan Sheng's friends and should not fight. Lin Heping released Luo Chen, who then reiterated his warning before leaving with Xiao Xi.
Outside the restaurant, Xiao Xi expressed her deep disappointment, confronting Luo Chen about his continued fixation on Nan Sheng. She confessed that she had hoped he had moved on, but realized Nan Sheng was still "very much alive" in his heart. Luo Chen admitted that Nan Sheng’s death would "forever haunt" him. Xiao Xi lamented that she was right there, "well and alive," yet he couldn't see her.
Luo Chen apologized but regretfully stated that what she asked of him was "impossible," and then walked away. Qiao Man, searching for an address, stumbled upon the book seller—who was actually a man named Ben—being chased by his numerous creditors. She recognized him as the owner of the house she had purchased in Barcelona. Ben, seizing an opportunity amidst the chaos, managed to escape from his pursuers. Qiao Man relentlessly chased him down and eventually cornered him.
She explained that she was the buyer of his Barcelona villa, and its faulty fire hydrant had cost her €50,000 to repair, for which she demanded reimbursement. Ben, however, denied any responsibility, claiming the sale was legitimate and accusing her of attempting to swindle him six months later. Stating he had no money and that she was merely one of many he owed, Ben escaped again, with Qiao Man hot on his heels.
Zhu Fan showed Han Sen to a lavish mansion, which Han Sen found "hollow, cold, and lonely" being in such a large place by himself. Han Sen then surprisingly demanded Zhu Fan's personal performance report, insisting on treating everyone equally. After Zhu Fan departed, Han Sen recorded a heartfelt message for Qiao Man, informing her of his safe return to China and his new residence in a "giant mansion," which he admitted felt empty without her.
He expressed his desire for her presence and concluded with an "I love you." That night, a frustrated Qiao Man was in her hotel room, eating snacks after her unsuccessful attempt to collect the debt. Lin Heping arrived to visit her. Qiao Man recounted her encounter with Ben, detailing his refusal to acknowledge his responsibility for the fire hydrant repair. As Qiao Man spoke, Lin Heping stared at her, seeing Nan Sheng instead.
Overcome by emotion, he embraced Qiao Man, murmuring how much he had "missed her." Startled, Qiao Man asked if he was drunk and forcefully pushed him away, making him leave. Back at his home, Lin Heping was filled with remorse over his behavior. He internally chastised himself for mistaking Qiao Man for Nan Sheng, acknowledging the unfairness of his actions.
He resolved to break free from this "illusion," reminding himself that Qiao Man was a "good girl" whom he must not hurt. He vowed to "forget about everything" and "start his life anew." He then proceeded to open a secret room to store a painting. To his shock, he discovered that all his hidden collections, including "The Riverbank Diary," were gone. A quick inspection revealed a large hole in the wall, confirming that his home had been burglarized.
