Mu Tingzhou awakened from a vivid dream where he was Mu Yun, the Grand Tutor, on the day of Princess Ming Wei's wedding. In the dream, commoners congratulated the Grand Tutor on his own wedding, which was happening on the same day as the princess's. An attendant warned him about missing the propitious time. Despite this, Mu Yun abruptly rode towards the Princess's wedding procession.
The Emperor appeared, warning Mu Yun that advancing further would be an act of defiance, akin to treason.
