Liu Ling found herself distraught, seeing Shen Yan's image everywhere, which brought her to tears. That night, Shen Yan, disguised as a soldier, appeared at her window. Liu Ling was startled, but Shen Yan embraced her, assuring her that she was his only concern in the world, the one person he was willing to give up everything for, to stay with forever. Liu Ling, relieved, promised to wait for him, however long it took.

Shen Yan revealed that his supposed demise was merely a grand scheme orchestrated by Prince Guangping (Liu Lishan), designed to deceive Tuoba Lie. Prince Guangping had buried a poisoned wine and set up a net under the cliff where Shen Yan was to jump. Luo Fan, observing from the shadows, saw Prince Guangping swap the wine. Upon examining the wine, Shen Yan discovered it was indeed poisoned, though not fatally, only causing weakness and vomiting blood.

Realizing this, Shen Yan decided to turn the tables, making his leap from the cliff part of Prince Guangping's elaborate ruse. Shen Yu, quickly informed and having followed them to Jiangzhou with Xu Shijin, found Shen Yan and impersonated him, allowing Shen Yan to successfully go undercover as a private soldier in Prince Guangping's army. Shen Yan clarified that Prince Guangping’s actions, including the public pretense of wanting him dead, were to gain cooperation with Tuoba Lie.

However, deep down, Prince Guangping still harbored paternal affection for Liu Ling, meticulously planning to ensure Shen Yan’s survival. Shen Yan noted that while blinded by power, Prince Guangping was not entirely heartless. For Liu Ling, however, all that mattered was Shen Yan's safe return.

Shen Yan informed Liu Ling that he needed to return to his undercover role within the private army camp to fully assess the situation and avert a potential war in Jiangzhou, bringing peace to its people. Though Liu Ling was reluctant and fearful for his safety in such a dangerous place, Shen Yan insisted, explaining that Prince Guangping and Tuoba Lie planned to revolt in three days, leaving him little time.

He promised to return safely and stay with her forever, never to be separated. Reluctantly, Liu Ling agreed, warning him she would hate him if he lied. Back in his undercover position, Shen Yan uncovered six fire arrow machines and a battle map. After achieving his objective, Shen Yan knocked out the guards and rescued Shen Yu.

Shen Yan learned that the Emperor and Liu Wang had covertly left Yejing for a temple on Mount Luoxian, a move His Majesty orchestrated to lure Prince Guangping into revealing himself, thereby removing a hidden threat for the Crown Prince's future ascension. Shen Yan then instructed Shen Yu to alert 'Old Six' to inform the Crown Prince's forces to prepare, and dispatched 'Old Three' and 'Old Five' to quickly gather reinforcements from Haizhou and Pingzhou.

Shen Yu expressed concern that even with reinforcements, the local Jiangzhou forces of merely three thousand would be vastly outnumbered by Prince Guangping and Yigu's twenty thousand troops. Shen Yan then inquired about the Bone Carving Pendant, which Shen Yu confirmed would be delivered to Xu Shijin within three days. It became clear that the pendant was crucial to their plan to neutralize Yigu's army, which was key to thwarting Prince Guangping's rebellion.

Liu Ling, upon hearing that the pendant was the Yigu King's personal belonging, devised a bold strategy. Liu Ling and Xu Shijin, dressed as dancers from Yejing, performed at a bustling Jiangzhou hotel. Tuoba Lie, who was already at the hotel, noticed them and requested to meet them. Despite Luo Fan's warnings of a possible trap, Tuoba Lie insisted on meeting them alone. Upon entering the room, Tuoba Lie found a dagger held to his throat by Luo Fan.

Liu Ling then challenged him, stating it was no time for pleasantries given the situation. He boldly declared that his Yigu army would rise with Prince Guangping the next day, and he had already transferred all military authority to Mu Kun. He warned that his death would not deter his warriors but would only strengthen their resolve to destroy Wei and exact revenge.

Xu Shijin then presented the Bone Carving Pendant, explaining it was obtained by a Jinlin Guard spy within Yigu. She used this to imply that if they could acquire the Yigu King's personal item so easily, they could just as easily take his life. She reminded Tuoba Lie that if the Yigu King were to die while he was away campaigning in Wei, his claim to the throne would surely be usurped.

Realizing the gravity of the threat to his succession, Tuoba Lie had no choice but to lead his forces away. On the designated day of rebellion, Prince Guangping led his private army to Mount Luoxian, expecting to find the Emperor and Crown Prince. Instead, he found only empty tents and a devastating ambush by the Emperor's hidden troops, suffering heavy casualties. Faced with Shen Yan and his high-spirited army, Prince Guangping's forces were utterly defeated.

Defeated and alone, Prince Guangping went to his late wife Zhang Yun's tomb and drank the Daughter Red wine. Liu Ling and Shen Yan found him there. Liu Ling tearfully pleaded with him to return to Yejing and beg for the Emperor's mercy, assuring him that the Emperor would not seek his life.

Prince Guangping confessed that he had always been afraid to visit Zhang Yun's tomb, fearing her anger and rejection, but now that he was there, he felt he could never leave. He expressed joy that Liu Ling had come to bid him farewell and urged her to live a good life with Shen Yan, choosing to remain and finish the wine his wife had made.

Shen Yan then led a distraught Liu Ling away, preventing her from looking back as Prince Guangping took his own life. Following Prince Guangping's demise, his mansion became vacant. Liu Ling returned to Yejing, and Shen Yan was greatly rewarded by the Emperor, receiving a thousand taels of gold for his exceptional talents and contributions as the commander-in-chief of the Jinlin Guard.

Meanwhile, Luo Fan finally confessed his feelings to Ling Bi, who initially teased him about a more handsome suitor before reciprocating his affections. Shen Yu and Xu Shijin also found their happy ending, preparing to travel the martial world together, protected by a Jinlin Guard token Shen Yan had discreetly obtained from the Emperor for them. Sometime later, Liu Ling was close to giving birth. Five years passed.

Liu Ling and Shen Yan's son, Shen Chenxi, had grown into a mischievous child, frequently causing headaches for Liu Ling, who had to mend their roof three times in one month. Shen Yan playfully suggested that Shen Chenxi inherited Liu Ling's "Demon of Chaos" personality. Liu Ling, in turn, playfully accused Shen Yan of loving her less since their son’s birth. Shen Yan, with a gentle kiss, assured her that his daily devotion and pampering were testament to his enduring love.
