Gu Jiaxin woke up sweating profusely from a nightmare. In the dream, he watched his friend Kang Zhe lying on the ground and felt immense pain. Zhao Jiangyue took an online test, which surprisingly said she was incapable of love. Her recent interactions with the opposite sex had all been work-related, and the only time her heart fluttered was during the accidental kiss with Gu Jiaxin that day.

The reluctant-to-get-up Gu Jiaxin was woken up by a call from Zhao Jiangyue; he was assigned to go out with Zheng Duoxi to fill out questionnaires. Relying on his handsome face, Gu Jiaxin took the questionnaires to campus and finished them in minutes. Upon asking about Zhao Jiangyue, he learned that she had actually gone to a matchmaking company.

According to the clerk, high-quality older women like Zhao Jiangyue were actually the most difficult group to find a partner in the matchmaking market, and she was even advised to hide some of her advantageous conditions to attract the opposite sex. Gu Jiaxin, who had followed her there, deliberately described his ideal partner requirements as being eight years older, working in the internet industry, and so on. As long as he could get better, he felt he could endure everything now. Gu Jiaxin managed to get by with the mini-program that his senior sister had helped him make. He invited his brothers over for a party and orchestrated a plan for Zhao Jiangyue to fall in love so she would relax her control over him. Seeing the same questionnaire survey from competitor Aiemeng on WeChat Moments, Zhao Jiangyue angrily scolded Gu Jiaxin.

Because of his laziness, the questionnaire that was originally supposed to be published tomorrow now required the entire team to redo its content. Knowing he had caused trouble, Gu Jiaxin apologized to his colleagues and worked overtime with them to redo the work, finally publishing the questionnaire on time the next day. Gu Jiaxin brought a table full of delicious dishes to Zhao Jiangyue's house to apologize, specially emphasizing that she shouldn't report him to her mother.

Zhao Jiangyue looked at the table of takeout dishes and felt quite helpless regarding the childish behavior of this younger man in front of her. Zhao Jiangyue ordered Gu Jiaxin to wash his hands, but there was no water from the tap. She refused Gu Jiaxin's theory of pretending to be weak and letting a man do it, and picked up tools to repair it herself. As a result, the faucet broke off at the waist, and the two could only awkwardly press their hands together to hold the pipe.
